This review is strictly for a private book event for my bestie graduation dinner, so the menu we head was prefixed since this was a private.
Located on the San Diego Pier, this was my first time experiencing this restaurant and my goodness, parking here on the weekend was stressful. I had to parked at the other side called Block 4 parking, keep in mind there was also a festival going on so street parking was blocked off. I didn't know they offered valet parking until after the party event was over, but hey, after all the food, I was glad to walk back to my car because I was stuffed.
Services and food.
Now since this was a private event, there was a prefixed menu on which I had what I wanted since invitation was sent out, I always study the menu before I head to any restaurant so I got the Brig Chowder for starter and for the main course I had the Sterling New York Steak (Done medium rare) and ohhhh mmmyyyy lorrrddd, loved that crusted layer on that steak and the mashed potatoes was great, now the green beans was a bit too hard, like it needed to be boiled just a tad bit more and then blanched; overall it was good, big portions and filling. Went the desserts came, I was really stuffed from the lunch and can't passed up the dessert, it was good, wasn't too sweet and if I wasn't driving, an espresso martini would paired great with the s'mores brownie in my opinion.
The waiters that assists during this evening were wonderful and attentive, filling waters and making sure each guests got their cocktails, I didn't ordered any cocktails since I was driving from a far, so I got pepsi and they refilled everytime it was low. They also served bread but I didn't want to get fill on that, the party did however, order appetizers from their other menu that wasn't listed in the prefixed, I got a tasted of their grilled octopus and that was really good, don't know the name of it on their menu but most likely to come back and try out.
Since this was a private event the ambiance was intimate and shut away from the main dining, honestly I felt like this was Keeping up with the Kardashians kind of vibe because of how private it was.
