The Best Portuguese Restaurants in Montreal | Eater Montreal

"It was big news when chef Helena Loureiro closed her first restaurant in the Plateau, Portus Calle, opting to open this revolving restaurant downtown instead. It’s been fertile ground for the chef to explore her roots, making intriguing dishes like Cornish hen stuffed with currants or a Portuguese bouillabaisse." - JP Karwacki

Portus 360 is a fantastic fine dining restaurant with breathtaking views, excellent food, and outstanding service. The portions tend to be on the smaller side but are flavorful, with a wide selection of seafood. The waitstaff was attentive, courteous, and proactive, ensuring a great experience. The restaurant welcomes a diverse crowd, including groups of young friends, couples, families, and birthday celebrations. There is no formal dress code, making it a relaxed yet elegant destination. Parking in the underground lot costs between $10 and $19, depending on some rather unclear rules. Even if you visit just for dessert and drinks, it's worth the trip. Guests are free to explore the restaurant to take in the stunning panoramic views. On the downside, there is no kids' menu, and the dishes can be a bit heavy for those mindful of their calorie intake. I highly recommend Portus 360 - just be sure to make a reservation, as it’s always busy!

Google
Perfect restaurant for a novelty experience but unfortunately when we attended the restaurant moved in gentle but uncomfortable jolt, noticeable enough to make the dinner uncomfortable. The food was good, great entrée, well presented and daring but not amazing. That might be our fault, we didn't adventure onto their fish and seafood, which seeing the other photos and reviewers, look quite delicious. Slightly too heavy handed on the truffle oil for our inexperienced pallets and the mustard and cheese sauce was intense. Very strong flavor competition and that might be great if you're looking for that. The view alone makes it all great regardless, this place throws you back in time and remind you of when Montreal was more modest.

From start to finish, our visit to Portus 360 was simply outstanding. The food was exquisite, each dish was beautifully presented and full of rich, authentic flavors. The atmosphere was equally stunning, with breathtaking panoramic views that made the experience even more memorable. However, what truly elevated our evening was the impeccable service. A huge thank you to Emile and Omar, who were our waiters for the night. Their professionalism, attentiveness, and warm hospitality made us feel truly special. They went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect, making our meal even more enjoyable.

Had a great experience at Portus with my date. Customer service was excellent waiter’s were very professional. We were served by Melody very lovely, funny, professional and knowledgeable about her work. They don’t do chicken or salmon it’s strictly Portuguese cuisine and some seafoods. If you’re vegan might wanna call them to make sure if you will enjoy their food. The potions are small but very delicious I wish they had more options on the menu and Drinks are good. I definitely would come back and recommend it.

Great atmosphere and an awesome view of the city. We ordered the Arroz De Marisco and Salads De Esparagos. Both were fresh & delicious. The service was impeccable, 0 flaws. Shoutout to Jasmine, she was awesome. Would definitely recommend bringing someone you care about here, the view, the food and all around vibe was just amazing - it can make a memorable dinner.

Fantastic atmosphere and view of the city. Food was finger-licking good and thank you to Antoine for making sure we had a great time with his excellent service. All the staff was professional and responsive to our needs. Will definitely go back and recommended.

Google
Great experience. We had a business dinner here and it was quite nice. Our server was very good and helpful. Food is not spectacular but quality is high. The seabass special was very well prepared and cooked well.

Google
Came here for my girlfriend 31st birthday, overall the experience was good. The best thing from the cauldron was the octopus. I personally would've taken a full cauldron of that. The mussel were good too. The lobster tail and scallops were ok ( my girlfriend didn't like it ). But sadly the shrimps were really tough and the calamari was way too rubbery. The little mignardises for 2 were amazing.

Yelp
Absolutely stunning views, great food and nice wines. I felt a bit sick from the rotation but the dessert made me feel great again

Yelp
Got to try this place out and I will say I did not know the restaurant actually moved until I noticed the stairs were no longer at the same place and the views were changing as I looked outside. Service was great as they constantly refilled the waters and asked if the food was okay. They also came by to inquire if we wanted more bread (which was crispy and delicious). In terms of food--it is definitely filling. I will say there were some things I noticed that were missing or delayed (most likely due to inflation). There was olive oil for the bread to dip but I wasn't quite sure if it was tasting or cooking olive oil as it was very earthy. I would have liked to have gotten salt and pepper on the table to in order to balance it. The service between each course was also delayed so I'm wondering if there was a delay in the kitchen as the servers were excellent. For the food, everything that needed to be cooked was cooked excellently. And everything that needed to be eaten raw was the perfect texture. Flavors were balanced and it felt like an adventure as each course arrived. I definitely recommend this place if you're looking for a good meal and views of Montreal.

Yelp
Très bon! Very delicious and the views were spectacular. Definitely book this place around sunset time, so you can get the nice sunsets views of the city. I ordered the seafood paella that had shrimp, calamari and mussels. Very very delicious and the seafood was fresh. My husband ordered the halibut, which he thought was very tasty and also fresh. We shared the grilled octopus and it was a great portion size. Overall, great food and views. Definitely worth it to see the amazing views of Montreal.

Yelp
Made a reservation here for my friends birthday while we were in Montreal, and we were so happy we did. This restaurant is on the top floor of a high rise building and you have to take a separate elevator up. Once off the elevator you are greeted by the host/hostess who then accompanies you to your seat. The wait was a bit long but our waiter I forgot his name was so accommodating and his service made up for that. The food was fresh and delicious. If you wanted, you have the option to select your choice of fresh seafood (fish, crab legs, lobster, etc.) and the chef cooks it to perfection. I was in the mood for fish and it was so delicious and they debone it for you right at the table. The drinks are great, the ambiance was beautiful, and I appreciated the subtle 360 movement and the views while we ate. This restaurant is a must try if you are visiting Montreal.

Yelp
We tried the MTL a table menu at $83 which started November 3rd. The verde caldo soup lacked flavor and was served lukewarm, the seafood rice dish was tasty with good portions, the opera dessert cake was dry but with the cream it was better. We also had the rack of lamb which was small with two pieces, not worth the price. Another guest ordered the osso bucco which was moist and tasty. The olive oil was a highlight served with unlimited bread. They sell the oil which branded the name Helena. Our waiter was less attentive to us than our guests, which was disappointing. The ambiance is nice, we rotated 360 in about one hour and a half.

Yelp
The view and the vibe of the restaurant was stunning and it was an enjoyable experience. The service was not enjoyable. My steak come out a little more rare than I expected and I asked for them to take it back and cook it a little more. They said no. This answer did not come from the actual server for our table it come from a training server. As a former server at a high end French brasserie I was shocked that a restaurant like Portus3060 would not accommodate what the guest would want and politely asked for. The rest of the staff and food was amazing.

Yelp
Amazing Service and centrally located. It offers 360 panoramic view of Montreal. We ordered the Portuguese version of Bouillabaisse which was delicious. The menu is QR code generated which is an awry experience for a $100 plate restaurant. Also, the waiter needs extra help with their wine selection ( maybe lost in translation). In sum, I would still recommend this place for its good food and great views!

Yelp
This is probably one of the only restaurants, to have a 360° view of the entire city of Montreal. It was quite an experience to come here with my husband. We love the fact that in a two hour sitting, we got to see the entire view without even noticing we were moving the whole time. This is one of the most romantic dates I've been to with the hubby. It was truly beautiful having a killer view of our city. What truly amazed me, was the fact that the staff knew where each dish was going to on every table. The kitchen is in the centre of the dining room and that is the only part of the restaurant that does not move so it was brilliant to see how organized they were to realize which food had been going on which table. The fact is we were moving but they were not and so for them it might seem a bit confusing and to realize this was truly superb. The service was excellent! The waiter always made sure to cater to our needs. He always came in to check on us and see whether our drinks were filled. He always made sure we our drinks were replenished and always served the food we ordered at the right time of our dinner. The food: Unfortunately, the food did not exceed my expectations how I expect it. I mean the food was OK it was not to die for but it was definitely on the good side. I was kind of hoping it was one of the best meals I've had in a while but judging on the quality, it didn't look like it was the best I've had. For example, The paella I had, was bland and dry. The scampis were chewy and shrimps in my paella were slightly overcooked as was the rice. My husband's dish, as well, was a bit on the over cooked side even though we asked for medium rare. The food was OK but again I was expecting a bit more as the prices were a little bit on the pricey side. Overall, this place is only awesome if you're here for the experience as the scene is quite hard to pass up on. However, if you're here solely for the food, I would suggest you try somewhere else before you come here as this is more of an experience kinda restaurant that is very rare and probably the only kind we have in Montreal. It's a perfect recommendation for a first romantic date if you're into those like me. Cheers

Yelp
Food was pretty delicious but service is lackluster and our entrees took well over an hour to come out after the appetizers. The atmosphere and views are cool to check out but not sure I'd return or recommend to others.

Yelp
What a wonderful restaurant. It starts revolving at some point in the evening during dinner. Our waiter was super great and brought out our dinner once the restaurant started moving. He told us he delayed it on purpose so that we can have a nice view of the sunset with our dinner! We started off with the cod croquettes which were perfect! They brought out complimentary bread, chorizo butter , and olives ! You can ask for more bread if you want For our main dish we got the seafood platter that feeds two. This was so worth it. Lots of seafood and super fresh. The sauce was delicious I wanted more bread to dip it in! Highly recommend this place

Yelp
Portus 360 first the magnificent view from the roof . We take the lunch 3 services for 29$ The choice was good, so many thing I want to try. We both take the salmon tartar who was ok. I take the Cod and my friend the duck. Everything was perfect. On the side I order the broil sardine so delicious a lot of flavor remember me the old country and the sea. The final the desert was and and cute.

Yelp
This restaurant was highly recommended by our hotel staff. We were thrilled to get a last minute reservation on a Friday night. The views were lovely and the food good. It was all spoiled by the service personnel. Our waiter explained that we were only allowed to order side dishes if we ordered a main dish. The menu offered only two seafood main dishes. Both had calamari which I don't eat. He copped an attitude when I then requested two appetizers (soup and lobster tail) and a side of potatoes since the main dishes were not an option. He reiterated his stance but finally agreeing with expressed frustration. The busboy was vacant of emotion and completely indifferent when spoken to. The ambiance was so so with nice views, the food good, not fabulous, and the attentive service was negated by poor attitude. I would not return or recommend this restaurant.

Yelp
Chef helena is truly an icon in montreal. I loved my experience at Portus 360. Obviously, the decor is outstanding even if truly a rotating dining room+wine= me getting sort of dizzy. The food was not as portuguese as I would've tought. The appetizer, a black cod gravlax with pea puree was amazingly delicate with of course a strong portuguese origin. However, the sweet calvados and olive oil trou normand that followed was confusing. Don't get me wrong it was the best trou normand i've never had, but served just after a small appetizer, when everyone is truly starving already, it felt out of place. The main dish was a decadent wapiti, I believed cooked sous-vide to perfect condition. It was a complete treat as was the chocolate dessert too. I think the team is making the most from a unique location that could've seemed kitch but is instead elevated to a delicious and gastronomic experience.

Yelp
Elegant dining room with a pleasant ambiance on the 31st floor of the Evo building in a revolving restaurant. Clearly you come here for the city views, as the restaurant turns you can see large parts of downtown, old town, and the river. We did dinner here so with the night time views there is a bit of reflection on the windows and pictures don't come out great. Didn't like that the pillars in the windows are too close, so its hard to get pictures without them showing. The Portuguese music playing is quite nice. Main courses are quite expensive, they also have Portuguese tapas that can be shared. We had the cod croquettes, the shrimps in sauce and seared mushrooms dish. The cod croquettes were not very warm, served with a bright yellow mayo. This dish was just Ok. The shrimps were four huge ones served in a thin yellow broth type of sauce. This broth was very good. The mushrooms were a bit plain tasting. Wouldn't say that anything was spectacular tasting or memorable. You are also served some complimentary bread, marinated olives and beans. For dessert we had the chef's selected assortment, which was quite nice and the cheapest menu option, blueberry muffin, chocolate truffles, marengue, other type of chocolate and fruit. Initially came here thinking it would be possible to just have coffee or drinks with dessert while checking the revolving views as I had done something similar to that in another fine dining revolving restaurant nearby. But you have to order food here. There is a bar area just below, which apparently was closed. On a Friday night. Weird. Still worth coming for the experience and unique views, but would keep food orders to a minimum. The restrooms have complimentary cups of mouth wash.

Yelp
I was really amazed how beautiful this restaurant is. It took me a few minutes to notice that the restaurant is actually turning by itself which is why it's called 360. The food was amazing. I'll start with the bread, they serve it with a chorizo butter and it was to die for. The calamaries were so fresh and tasty.I took the creamy seafood rice topped with a lobster tail it was great I will definitely get that again. And for the desert I had a chocolate mi cuit. It was Perfection I cant wait to go again.

Yelp
Nice view, average food. We tried several appetizers and main dishes. They were all ok but expensive for the portion size. We shared the sardines, octopus, calamari, cod cake and shrimps as appetizers. The octopus was a bit too tough and overcooked, but the other ones were good. I had the cod duo as a main dish and although it wasn't bad, it wasn't impressive either. I also found 2 bones in my fish while chewing so I had to be extra careful when eating it. As for the ambiance and view, it was amazing as there aren't many restaurants with a rotating view. The place was clean and our waiters were nice and friendly. Overall, it's a good place for a special event or a date. However, I wouldn't go here just for the food.
google avatar

Yelp
It's a fancy old restaurant, a little bit pricey for what it actually is, but I guess it is worth going at least once. On the very positive side, you have an amazing 360 view of all Montreal (the restaurant spins at a very small speed). Our waitress was actually awesome, very knowledgeable and eloquent. Very good service.

Yelp
Want a 360 degree view of Montreal while dining at a unique rotating restaurant with authentic artisanal cuisine (?!!!!)...This is your spot! Location- Located on the 31st floor of a skyscraper in downtown Montreal you will find a mostly locally known restaurant called Portus360 featuring Portuguese inspired cuisine from up and coming Canadian Chef Helena Loureiro. Upon exiting the elevator, the team member will lead you up some bright orange steps to the tiled, circular rotating restaurant. The Views- While it was winter and a snowstorm was impending-it was nice as we "rotated" at our table to look out the windows which were labeled with the area that you were viewing on the window. The entire rotation takes two hours. The Menu and Food- The Menu is in French. It was Canadian $25.00 fixed price selections of an appetizer, substantial main plate, and dessert. (Keep in mind that the USA Dollar exchange is $1.28 in Canadian dollars-so it is an excellent deal!). The staff is bilingual and if you do not understand French they will describe the options in English. Our Orders: The meal starts off with authentic French Baguette with olive oil and an olive medley. I had the Octopus appetizer which was a tender leg with radicchio on top with a accompaniment of caviar and greens. For the main Meal=Pork Medallions with Fingerling Potatoes and a pickled beet and grilled zucchini medley. My parents had-a creamy soup (I forget the kind as I was into my Octopus!), Portuguese Seafood Stew and Monkfish. Dessert was an elegant chocolate Cheesecake with pistacchios and creme fraiche. Outstanding meal and view. Will NOT dissappoint. About Chef Helena-"Helena launched her second book, Helena's Portuguese kitchen, at Éditions de l'Homme, in the fall of 2015 (available in both French and English) and announces the relocation of its first creation: the Portus Calle will be reborn Portus360 in the spring of 2016 in the premises of the former "Tour de Ville", beacon of Montreal culture." Source: https://portus360.com/en/ FYI- My favorite part is the inception of the meal when your food is served-the wait staff always says "Bon Appetit!" Also all food is FRESH...there was a seafood bar displaying the fish and seafood.

Yelp
Amazing business lunch with a stunning view of Montreal downtown area. They are specialized in Portuguese cuisine and we got excellent service from our waiter. Honestly, the food were excellent from the appetizers, to main course to dessert all so yummy. I ordered the peas potage as appetizer and beef chin piri piri. The potage was just enough to open my appetite then there is beef chin piri piri, yummmm mouth watering just by thinking of it. The beef chin steak was cooked to perfection combined with the sauce (I taste HB sauce and maple syrup) it's just a wonderful combination. My coworkers ordered salmon and octopus salad, they all have the same delicious comment. Must go back!

Yelp
We had dinner at Portus360 when visiting old Montreal. Beautiful revolving restaurant that over looks the city. Dinner was excellent but the portions were small considering its a Portuguese style restaurant. We had the chef's blind special which consisted of hot and cold antipasto along with seafood or meat dinner and a desert.

Yelp
We made a reservation here for a late Valentine's Day dinner since it seemed to be pretty booked for dinner on Fridays. Located on the top floor, this place has a gorgeous 360 degree view of the city!! The platform of the restaurant actually slowly rotates, giving you the full panoramic view when dining. Our waitress was very pleasant and helped us in our choice of wine pairings and tasting, and guided us with the menu and specialties of the place. We ended up starting off with bread, olives and confit along with our cod croquettes entrée which were pretty good, being soft on the inside and crispy on the outside. Next, for the main course, we ordered the seafood creamy risotto and the Portuguese beef sirloin steak. The steak was well seasoned and juicy, pairing well with its sauce and the red wine that was recommended. The risotto was deliciously creamy and cooked to perfection, and they were very generous with their seafood!! This is a must try for seafood lovers! I would definitely recommend this place, for dinner or lunch and it's perfect for dates. The view is beautiful, the staff are great, and the food is decently priced and worth it. The only small con would be the wait time for the main dish, but the food is worth the wait!

Yelp
Wonderful view , nice service, nice washroom, they have a lunch 3 services for 25$, yeah its a good spot for a date. Second visit still happy with food and service and the music playing is from portugal :))

Yelp
This time I when for lunch, the daytime 360 rotating Montreal view is beautiful. Again this is a MUST if you come to Montreal. Good service! The food is ok.

Yelp
Lunch menu $25 for 3 course meal ~ definitely worth it. I find that it is so much more worthwhile to try fancier restaurant during lunch because they have decent lunch menus at affordable pricing which gives you a taste of the quality of their dishes. I must say before event tasting the food that he restaurant has an amazing view of the city. Although it was rainy and grey today, the view was still pretty good. Took us a bit over 1 hour to eat lunch and we turned about 180 degree (I suspect you can see the 360 degree view in about 2 hrs). We were seated quickly and the waitress took our orders in a timely fashion which is important during lunch when most people only have an hour to eat. Had the calamari and potato salad and my friend had the soup of the day. I must say that the entree came extremely quickly...I'm pretty sure it was already prepared in advance. Nonetheless, the salad was very good. I expected big chunks of potato and small bits of calamari but presentation was fantastic. Bits of calamari were incorporated into the potato and green peas salad with fried calamari tentacles on top. The fried calamari added a really nice texture to the salad. The main course was a seafood dish...I must say that the portion was pretty generous. The spicy buttery sauce went really nicely with the shrimps, octopus and calamari. Dessert was also delicious...the light mousse with raspberry jelly went well with the more chocolaty cake/brownie. Definitely recommend going there for lunch with customers, friends or date. Will absolutely come back try their dinner menu.

Yelp
Went here for our 1st year wedding anniversary. We had gone to Portus Calle a few years ago and loved the food and ambiance. The view is very nice from above and it took a little over 2 hours to do a full turn. It is a lot bigger and less intimate than Portus Calle. The concept is a bit touristy but pleasant for a special occasion. As the evening crowd came in, it does get rather noisy.... As for the food, we ordered the asparagus salad, the seafood platter for 2, razor clams and a whole fish to share. The seafood is prepared expertly, fresh and well seasoned. It was nice that the whole fish was served table side by the waiter. Our waitress was curteous and efficient though I was disappointed that she didn't have much knowledge of the daily catches. A few of these were commonly consumed Portuguese fishes (we chose something called the Goraz only because the name sounded funny :P) and when asked what their taste or texture were, she had no clue....we took a chance and luckily it was delicious. Overall nice experience.
google avatar

Stefanie R.

Yelp
Nice ambience, and good spot for a special occasion but overpriced for what you get on your plate. Guess you pay extra for the view (which is amazing). Had the tuna for main, and while the fish was amazing the "rest" on the half-filled plate was disappointing: 4 pieces of cauliflower and a carrot, all very al dente. There was a squash mousse somewhere but that was literally a tablespoon smeared across the plate for deco. A shame. The dessert was nice, both the Natas do céu and the pasteis de natas were lovely. Three stars for ambience, desserts and service.
google avatar

Jo N.

Yelp
This restaurant has a nice view ! The dining area rotates around so you get a 360 view of the scenery but you'd have to be eating at the restaurant for around 3 hours before it makes a full turn. You barely notice it move because it moves really slow. The place is designed very nice. They have really nice decor. The washroom is on the lower floor. So is the coat check. They have menus in both English and French. Staff here are very friendly. They are willing to explain the menus in great detail. However the food here is not that tasty. The bread and butter is good though. All in all. Good for the view but food is meh.
google avatar

Yelp
Review on Service Re: service here, I did not appreciate the waitress telling me that Quebec/ Montréal taxes impose a minimum 20 percent tip. Tips are at the discretion of the customer when there is less than 5 people. Don't take advantage of tourists.

Yelp
Portus 360 was very nice. The restaurant is on the top floor of the building and it is a circular rotating restaurant. The restaurant overlooks the city of Montreal (making for good views during the day and at night for the city lights). The charcuterie board included 2-3 different sausages and the lamb was well perpared. Porrus 360 was a nice experience.

Nori P.

Yelp
Phenomenal experience. Everything from the view to the service, to the food. We started off with the charcuterie board, croquettes, and shrimp. Followed by individual entrees. My Vegetarian entree was light and flavorful. The restaurant had a great wine variety and we were guided through the list by our great waiter David B. I definitely recommend coming here for a memorable experience.

Yelp
I want to Portus for a special birthday occasion. I had reserved online and made a special request to have a table by the window. The day of our reservation, the hostess called to confirm, I mention to her that this was a special birthday occasion and to please make sure our table is by the window. She said she couldn't guarantee anything and their policy is first come first serve. I wasn't happy with that, what is the purpose of reserving then?? Anyways we got there at 7pm on a Saturday night and thankfully we we able to get that last table available by the window. The restaurant is situated on the last level of the Evo Hotel, and what's so famous about it is that it has a 360 turning restaurant that shows you the whole city. What They did to make it even more fabulous is that almost every indicated where in montreal you can see. From the. Mounts to the bridges to rivers and iconic buildings in Montreal. I found it stunning. Now about the meal we ordered kale salad and grilled calamari. I asked the waiter if the sixes were shareable and he said yes. That's not true, the 14$ kale salad was the size of my palm. It was.not enough for one imagine two. The 16$ calamari were a bit better in size. As for our main course, I had the fillet mignon, I really loved this dish, well seasoned, with mas potato, carrots, grilled cauliflower and a pretty amazing wine sauce. Honestly a well presented, tasty dish. As for the other meat, it was a duo cod fish, one was a white cold mashed with potatoes, cream snd veggies and made like a patty, while the other was grilled black cod that rested on top of the other fish patty, all with sweet potato puree. As personally didn't like that dish, but then again I'm nor a seafood lover. But my friend loved it. We had also ordered a bottle of wine. All together at the end of the night came out to 200$, I wouldn't mind paying that if the portions at least the appetizer portions were too par. But staff is amazing, attentive and very nice. Place has amazing views so you are playing for that. In my opinion skip the appetizer and just order a meal, you will get a better ration of quality price.

Steve C.

Yelp
Had a terrific lunch here. Recommend it to locals and visitors! Our lunch included a vegetarian dish and oysters on the half shell.
google avatar

Pheng H.

Yelp
Really enjoyed the restaurant overall. Had no problem to reserve a table with Opentable App. Menu is a little bit pricey but it was worth it since we could get a nice 360° view of Montreal. I really liked the service, our waiter was really recommending us different kinds of food. I'd recommend this place to any couples who are trying to find a nice restaurant to celebrate their anniversary since the atmosphere of the place is really intimate.

Sherry S.

Yelp
I would give this 4-stars but I have serious motion sickness and that slight moving of the entire restaurant made me nauseous throughout the entire meal. For a similar price & food experience, go to their sister restaurant - Helena in Old Montreal. It doesn't move. That said, I took the egg and asparagus appetizer, wished very hard they had done a POACHED egg instead to make the runny egg sauce (nope, totally hardboiled), and I also had the porkchop with the orange sauce which I found slightly salty but delicious.... The dessert was terrible. Flat out terrible. Fruit from a can ontop of some biscuits and cream? .... Christ. Give me a nata. Or something else, but not THIS.

Yelp
This place is a must if you come to Montreal. I literally just finished my meal, all the while in awe of the stunning 360 views of Montreal as the sun set into the night. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable of the menu (and suggested a perfect wine to pair with my dish. I completely devoured my meal (The "Bife à Portuguesa"). So delicious! Bon appétit!

Yelp
This place was wonderful start to finish. The floor moves (very slowly) so you see the entire skyline during dinner! Huge wine selection and really fresh and flavorful food. Waiter was attentive without being at the table too often. Every single table has a great view and even when it's full on a Friday night, the noise level is still very reasonable to have a conversation!!

Yelp
This is probably one of worst service I ever had in a Montreal restaurant. Food quiet poor quality for Montreal restaurant standards. Nice location on 31st floor and turning for the nice view of downtown Montreal. I did not enjoy at all my visit because the waiter makes your experience at this restaurant worse. Really low class. I totally expected something else.

Yelp
I went there for my graduation with my family and everyone was impressed. Food was very good. Potage was excellent and scallops were good just a little bitter. The day was beautiful so we really enjoyed the view. The staff was very friendly and they made an effort to speak Spanish with us when they heard us talking. I would definitely recommend this restaurant!

Yelp
We had a great meal. Service was very good and timing was spot on. This place is pricey but you have to realize the draw of this restaurant. It offers a phenomenal view of the city. The meals are made to order and drinks are hand crafted. If you are looking for a fast meal and cheap service then this isn't the place for you. This is a good date night or special occasion place. Would dine there again.

Yelp
It's a great place to eat -- great service, good food, but mostly the atmosphere is perfect for entertaining guests from outta town!

Yelp
I went for my birthday I booked through opentable. I changed my reservation to 10:30 but the restaurant closed at 11. They called me and let me know and the service was great! I didn't originally like the table I was given so I asked to be moved and the waiter was super nice. He gave us different places to go. He was so busy but still made sure we were good. They didn't have mash because it was the end of the night so they compensated with free shots and a toast with the manager. The restaurant moves, the view is phenomenal, not to mention I was able to pay in American dollars which was so helpful since we had just gotten to Montreal. Thanks so much for an incredible time!

Yelp
THIEVES - They offered me a bottle of wine for $110 which i agreed to. On returning the waiter said he had "found a much nicer wine with just 4 bottles left, if I wanted that one?". I said "OK" and then at the bill they charged me an extra $15 per bottle (we had 5 and spent over $1,600 in their thieving restaurant). The waiter did NOT, at any point, tell me the bottles would cost more and they've not replied to my email asking for my money back - they are as good as THIEVES - STAY AWAY DISGRACEFUL AND SHAMEFUL

Yelp
Had an amazing time at Portus360 today. Our reservation was for 12:30 (party of 5) and we were seated very quickly. Firstly, I have to mention that the sun enters beautifully in the room and makes it very peaceful, the reason I mention it is because I have recently tried another restaurant with "a view" in the same area and everything seemed so dark (the dark decoration probably didn't help). We ordered from the lunch menu (25$) and weren't disappointed...Everything tasted amazingly well from my beef teriyaki to the duck and the peach dessert all the guests were unanimous they had a great time. My only negative comment would go to the time they took before taking our orders apparently because of a miscommunication between waitresses but they apologized for it and it was much appreciated. I definitely recommend this Portuguese restaurant if you're in the area, you won't regret that 360-degree rotation view of downtown Montreal.

Yelp
Beautiful Portuguese restaurant located on the 30th and 31st floors of 777 Robert-Bourassa Boulevard. Its brilliant 360-degree rotation system allows you to take a "tour" of the city while you dine. This was my first visit to Montreal (with my mom) and I highly recommend this for scenic views of the city. The food and wine are incredible. The décor beautiful. The service super And the staff very accommodating . Worth every penny. Will recommend!

Yelp
Hopefully you won't have Yassine for your server!! I've never had someone be so rude! I was there with some business partners and we were discussing the menu regarding their tomahawk steaks. I was here 2 weeks ago and there was some aged 45-60 days. When asked about the he very rudely stated "never". Next thing I know, he walked away from us and started helping another table. About 15 minutes later, we had another waiter come up to our table and asked if we had questions about the menu. Again we asked about the tomahawk steaks. He went back to get their selection and we selected he one we wanted. Everything seemed to be back on track. Once we finished dinner, the dessert menu arrived. Some of the items we didn't know what they were. So we asked Yassine what they were. As we were deciding, he again just walked away from us without saying a word. Who does that? So at that point we decided we just wanted the check so we could leave. We had to flag him down 15 minutes later. Because of this poor service and rudeness, I tipped less than I typically do. As the receipt was printing, he began to argue about the tip. Well Yassine, here's another tip for you, a tip is EARNED. And you failed to earn it with your poor and rude service. That being said, the steak and food was delicious. We had a shrimp appetizer along with asparagus salad, both were outstanding. But I can find that quality of food at another place with service that tells me they appreciate my business. Sorry Portus360, you need to have a 180 on your service. I won't be back.

Yelp
Yesterday evening, my boyfriend and myself had gone out for a nice Friday dinner date. With that said, we were craving to have a nice Portuguese meal, therefore, we decided to go to Portus 360. Our evening started with a very beautiful view, however, the view was not enough of an experience due to the horrible service and food we received. Our waiter seemed as if he was not trained properly for this kind of restaurant. He was very lost, took forever to take our order and never came to refill our water, which is the bare minimum. Also, when giving our waiter that "impatient stare" that we would like to place our order, he stared right back at us and walked away...we FINALLY ordered after 1 hour. This is a rotating restaurant that takes 2 hours to do a full turn; this is how long it felt to get our food to the table. Food finally arrives, we started with the stuffed calamari (squid), nothing special, it was OK. As a main, my boyfriend had the steak with the cracked egg on top, it was very good. However, on my end, my meal was not so great. I had the Mahi Mahi, it was very salty and smelled VERY fishy. I'd like to mention, that I am Portuguese, and I normally go to a Portuguese restaurant for a good plat of fish. THIS WAS NOT THE CASE. My boyfriends plate was clean, I on the other hand left half the fish uneaten, but ate the vegetables because I was so hungry. I mentioned to the waiter that the fish was too salty and that I couldn't eat it. He said that he would mention it to the chef. We are now 2 hours into the service, and at this point we really were not happy and just wanted to leave. I asked him for the bill. I see him mentioning to the chef that the plate was not appetizing...he comes back with the bill without anything being said. I presume it was the manager who then came with the machine for us to pay, we paid our $150 + TIP meal. Waiter then walks by to retrieve his Merchant copy of the bill from the manager, looks at us and walks away. AT NO POINT DID HE THANK US, APOLOGIZE FOR MY MEAL, AND WISH US A GOOD EVENING. Today is Saturday, and I truly regret even giving this waiter a tip as it was not deserved. Also, I believe that this restaurant is TRULY not worth the price or the so called "experience" I HIGHLY DO NOT recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Yelp
Fabulous meal hosted by Antonio. My daughter had lobster tails. My mother had fresh snow crab legs and they cracked them for her. I had a cod and clam dish. Glorious wine and cheese plate. Impeccable service. The views of the city with interesting and entertaining:) loved the entire dinner and would go back again.

Yelp
Best Calamari I ever had. Kitchen staff did a wonderful job. Very nice hostesses, very accommodating. Thank you for putting us near the window! The only problem was the service. Steve Carginan started off as good but ended up really bad. As the night goes by, the service gets worst and worst. Here are few problems 1) The food was served by the busboys the plates were not put on the table properly. There was no communication between our server and the busboys. 2) Steve never had the time to come by and ask if the food was good. 3) He kept running around but was not accomplishing anything. (Needs training) It just looked like he's lost. 4) There were many busboys but no one can even pour water in our glass? My boyfriend and I were so thirsty, in total the water was poured about three times. Most of the time our glasses were EMPTY. There were many busboys that was just running around. 5) Manger on duty that night. (you were in baby blue long sleeve shirt). You just stared at our table! you did not offer us water, we were literally in front of you the whole time. How are you even a manager when you're just standing there. 6) Steve left the bill on the table we wanted to ask for water and he just ran away. We didn't have time to even talk to him. My boyfriend and I found it very rude. In the end we had to find a staff ourself because no one came to our table the whole time! This is a high end restaurant. I know you guys may be under staffed that night but these problems are very basic. I normally don't leave comments like this, I work in service as well (hotel and restaurant), I managed people so I know how it works.

Yelp
I was really worried about this place because usually when there's a revolving building, it indicates some sort of gimick where the food is bad as a result. Fortunately for us, the chef was in that evening and prepared a wonderful meal for us and our guests. Everyone agreed that all the different foods were cooked to perfection with really good flavor combinations. If there was any complaint it's merely that the portion sides tended to be on the small side. The pasteis the nata dessert was phenomenal and really brought me back to when I had visited Portugal a year before. Those alone are a reason to visit this place.
