I am so grateful this store exists in the neighborhood! The folks who work here are always very friendly and fast, and it is extremely easy to ship parcels. They also offer notary services, and it was a smooth experience. I highly recommend it!

The person that helped me was not transparent about what he was doing or the pricing. I told him I needed to ship some items - he took them and started packing them without telling me that the act of merely placing two things into a box would cost 2 bucks, that he was lining just clothing with bubble wrap which cost another 1.50, and on top of that their shipping price are *much* higher than a UPS stores. ($45 vs $30 for my package). Plus they charge an exorbitant amount for insurance (5 bucks to insure a value of 50?? which again, he didn't inform me of until after I got the receipt). Go a few more blocks to the UPS store.

I’ve had a private mailbox here since 2006, and have nothing but great things to say about this place. Lynne G. and her staff are friendly, efficient and organized; they have never lost/misplaced a single one of the several hundred packages, big and small, that I’ve had shipped here in the 11 years I’ve been a customer. They have a superb automated notification system when you receive a package, and it emails you within minutes of the delivery. They’re in the heart of Potrero Hill, and parking within a block can be found on Missouri or Connecticut. I like how they’ve enlarged their selection of great quality greeting/birthday/holiday cards. Like at UPS Stores, there’s a slight markup for things like stamps and shipping, but it’s worth it for the convenience. I hope P&P stays in the neighborhood and continues to flourish.

Amazing place and staff. Soo friendly and helpful. For example as I was coming to their store just as they closed I needed an item the clerk happened to have that item in his pocket and gave it to me and we had a nice discussion very good place to go

Just came in to notarize a document. Three employees in the store - an older lady roaming about, a young guy behind the counter on the phone and a lady behind the other counter chatting amiably with someone who’s obviously her acquaintance (not sure if he was a customer). No one says ‘Hello’ or ‘Can I help You?’ and despite the fact that a customer has just entered the store and is in plain sight (standing next to chatty lady and her friend, practically) nothing happens. I waited a while, the conversation continued - about what the guy and his kids were going to do at their cabin this weekend - without any acknowledgement that I was there or I needed help. The guy continued to roam the premises on his phone and the other lady went about her business. Not my idea of stellar customer service and a bad first impression. Will not be back.

Fast service, every employee I've interacted with has been super friendly. It's nice they let you bring in your dog too!

This review is strictly for the notary service. Post and Parcel is just under a mile away from my job, so I walked on my lunch break to have some personal documents notarized. I did call first to be sure someone would be available. I spoke with Lynne who later greeted me when I got there. Lynne was wonderful. She was helpful, patient, and made everything easy for me. There are also scanning services, so she scanned my documents and had them emailed to me. I now have a digital copy! Thank you, Lynne. I appreciate your help and your kind words.

I've walked past this business for four years on my way to work and always noticed that it was quite busy. Now I know why. The customer service here is phenomenal! I recently joined a clothing rental service called Nuuly and I was hoping for a quick way to ship the clothes back without going to the post office. I went inside Post and Parcel to inquire and I saw another Nuuly bag that was ready to ship out. I had a packing slip and was in and out within a minute. Everyone who works here is so nice. What a hidden gem in Laurel Village.

The notary at Wells Fargo in Laurel Village suggested I use this business to overnight paperwork. Priority overnight shipping so pricey, no reflection on this business, it's all FedEx; this shop seems totally organized and honest. I would use Post & Parcel when I need something sent overnight- or ground shipped somewhere for any other package. Recommend..

My experience started strong, but immediately degraded once they charged my card and picked up my property. Kiko handled my project personally. I needed to ship three large paintings from SF to South Carolina. He provided a fair quote, and picked the items up from my apartment in the city personally. Then it all went to shit. Once back at the shop, the quote shot up over $200 more (over 50% increase from initial quote). Since I provided all of the correct dimensions and weight, and he failed to estimate added packing, we settled on splitting the difference. He said the items would be photographed once packed, and they would be sent along with tracking info when it all went out the next day. My card was charged, but I received no photos or tracking, regardless of an email inquiry sent over 24 hrs after pickup. No reply. After threatening to file a police report, I finally received photos of a terribly over-packed box of my own original artwork, purchased by a client. As an artist, I told him I was looking for a shipping account to use for my business, and he said they worked with artists all of the time. I find this hard to believe, or perhaps their standards of professionalism are lower. No apologies were made by Kiko or anyone at Post & Parcel. 48 hours after pickup and charging my card is far too late to receive confirmation of shipment and a receipt for a first-time customer who has entrusted them with sensitive items. They also neglected to insure them. Complete failure to deliver on all fronts. Let's hope Fed Ex can hold up their end of the deal.

Everyone here is so super friendly and helpful, I don't have enough good things to say about them. I believe it's a family owned business and I'm so happy that they're holding on as there are fewer and fewer of these types of businesses left in San Francisco. They will go above and beyond to make sure that your packages are taken care of!

They are the best local mail, fax and copy facility in the neighborhood. I have used them frequently and have always been so pleased with their friendly service.

It is annoyingly difficult to find information on the internet about this place. I knew it existed because I'd walked past it a bunch of times, and even used it in the past for some shipping and faxing needs. I couldn't remember the name of it and I absolutely HAD to find a FedEx shipping place within walking distance of my house. No amount of Google-hunting could return info on this place, except an 800 Fed Ex number, and my go-to local search site (durh... Yelp, of course!) didn't have a listing for it either. This is a pretty standard shipping location, offering DHL, UPS, FedEx and regular USPS / US mail. They also have a photocopy machine, faxing services and a notary public. You can get a private mailbox (P.O. Box) here if you want one, and they've got pretty standard office supplies that you might need in a pinch like legal pads, pens, pencils, etc. The people who work here are shockingly service oriented, which is SO much better than the lackadaisical attitude I've encountered by the sloth-like counter guys over at the UPS store on Fillmore (http://www.yelp.com/biz/DpVJWUcwgjBCAhXn-xVSQg). Almost every time I come in, someone wants to school me on where to put my usps packages! Ive been here so many times and it keeps changing. Either get better signs or have ALL of the employees on the same page.

I've gone in there to ship packages in the past and gotten excellent customer service. Not so today. I'd heard that the store handles shipping of USPS media mail for its customers. I wanted to know the cost of using this service. I tried literally eight times to explain what I wanted (I counted) The guy who anwered responded each time that "We are not a USPS location". I kept telling him that I knew that. I asked to speak to someone else. He refused. He finally gave me the price: $38. I asked him to confirm and told him that USPS media mail is $6.00. Again: "We are not a USPS location". I use places that provide good customer service. I have options. I'm not going here again.

I LOVE Post and Parcel! There have been many times I've had to drop off an unwrapped item and P&P has done a wonderful job of wrapping and sending off the box! Lynne, Kiko and the other employees are always friendly and helpful--it's the only place use. I even buy my stamps there!

This place is conveniently located a block and a half from my work. I just have to applaud them for their consistently amazing, friendly and helpful customer service- every time I go in. Apartment hunting in SF is the devil. And of course my work's fax machine broke as soon as I tried faxing in all 17 pages of application materials. I trotted over to Post and Parcels and they saved the day.

Sweet. I needed something notarized on somewhat short notice and a quick yelp search: A) Told me UPS and similar stores are expensive B) Post and Parcel is quick, cheap and easy. Showed up on a Saturday afternoon and was out the door with my form notarized and faxed within 5 minutes. Quick, cheap ($10), and easy.

I shipped some expensive stuff to 3M Corporation in MN a few days back. Needed the item packed, and tracked. All I had to do was fill this short form with the address, pay, and the package was off to 3M. Simple, straightforward shipping.

Amazing service! I was there (for a while) with loads of stuff to do, they are so quick and helpful and friendly!! Once you're done, you.. kinda wanna hang around :)

Chris and Kristen was awesome. They both helped me customized several boxes for my boss. They were nice and patient with my long request I needed to be fulfilled. I walked in there asking for several boxes and walked out with everything I need and more! they were great and I got to play with doodles the dog :) Here is the end result of my project they helped me on:

This place is great. You can drop off ups, fed ex and priority with pre-fabricated shipping labels. Everyone in there is always super friendly, too. It's my neighborhood spot to ship.

Never in all my years would I have thought I'd someday be writing a yelp review for a postal store but after my first few experiences with these guys I felt inclined to write a review and give a special thank you shout out for their help! I have a vintage store in the Mission district and Post and Parcel is the only place i'm aware of that has double walled boxes in multiple sizes, so when I have to ship something delicate or overseas it's worth the drive over to buy the perfect box. Not only do they have the best boxes but they are artists when it comes to packing and estimating size and cost. I know it sounds silly, but they are experts at looking at what you are shipping and telling you precisely what box size you need and how much packing supplies will be needed. Definitely worth the drive across town!

Total rip off. They charge .65 for .49 stamps. I made a rush error and bought 100 and handed them my credit card, signed, then ran out the door. That was my mistake. Don't do what I did. Stay away from this place, at least for stamps! I'd be careful and compare their prices on other services just to be safe.

This place rules. I've worked in this neighborhood for over three years and come here a lot. The other reviewers are right that it's hard to find because there isn't a big sign, but you will find this place if you look for the American flag out front. Whatever and however you want to mail, Rebecca and Chris will make it happen. The convenience is unsurpassed....I will pay a little extra to come here rather than fight the crowds at the Post Office on Geary.

This place is the absolute best. The customer service is over the top -- they will bend over backwards to help their clients. I have been using them for years, and would not consider another mail location. Rebecca and Chris are real jewels, and the owner Kiko has really made a customer service commitment that puts Post and Parcel Sacramento Street in a class all by itself.

The customer service at this place is off the charts. I have forever sworn off all other mail locations, because of how horrendous they are. If you need a mail box, go here. If you need to mail anything, go here. One thing, look closely for it, the sign is not large and it can seem hidden.

This is a great place to get all of your shipping needs taken care of! Excellent service, very friendly staff, extremely efficient. It has a great neighborhood feel, but also very professional. Love 'em!

These guys are the best! Jimmy is a very personable business person, pretty neighborhood friendly place. I have an account with them since I use the service frequently it works out very well. So far its been a good investment, yes its more to ship from here but the headache of just dropping off stuff and leaving is the best part!

Needed something notarized, this was simple and easy. What i liked best was there were two people working behind the counter, a notary and a non notary.. they switched tasks so that the non notary could do the parcels a lot of them and the notary could help me so i could be in and out quick ...it was great.

Excellent Customer Service! But the website SuCkS! Offer up an e-mail, please. As for the customer service details, I needed a travelling customer to recieve two big packages in SF, these guys didn't hem-haw-hestitate before the YES, then we worked out the details. It was the right kind of "YES" -- efficient and pleasant.

Horrible customer service from the guy in the front. I've been there twice and he has been condescending and unfriendly in both situations. Only reason I come here is because it's close to my office and I'm in a bind, time wise, to send things off. Would not recommend. In reading the previous reviews, it seems like service was better in the past. Wish it was still like that now.

A great place. Really helpful staff, for shipping anything. I also love that I can get my wine club shipments sent here, and just pay $5 each time. Before I figure this out, my wine was always getting sent back because I'm never home to sign for it!

Only been here a few times but have gotten excellent service each time. The workers are very friendly and want to get to know you as well as help you with your postage. Small shop, parking is a little tricky during the day but there is a 15 min only spot at the end of the block which is usually free.

A big "Thanks!" to Chris and Claire for their excellent customer service when I wandered in, confused by misinformation on Yelp about another business' location. Even though I didn't use any of their services this time, I'd "pop in" to give this place my business any time.

While the staff is very friendly and extremely helpful, be very aware you may be paying an egregious premium markup for any the shipping services services. I have found the charges for UPS, FEDEX and now USPS to carry an almost 100% markup. Profit is one thing and I am willing to pay a MODEST premium for convenience, but the levels of price inflation I have experienced is so far above the shippers' public rates that it amounts to, in my personal opinion, utterly shameful customer abuse. I am referring only to shipping rates, not to packing fees. Stay far away, open your own accounts with USPS, FEDEX and UPS - you will save quite a bit rather than ship with the albeit pleasant people in the store who purport to charge only modest premiums.

I can not say enough good things about Post and Parcel and the people who work there. They are professional and knowledgeable, making your experience seamless.

David went above and beyond as a Notary when the other person involved in the transaction was an hour late - very appreciative of his easy demeanor, kindness and professionalism!!!

I've gone here for notary and mailing purposes and the service is always great and the people working are always knowledgeable and pleasant. If you've been to many places like this, you know this isn't always the case. I've read some grumblings about a website, but they provide their services on site and not online, so I don't really see this as a problem. Great work by Becca and Kiko (i really hope I didn't butcher your names:-)!

Love this place. Friendly, helpful, and prompt. The shipping process normally seems to be a necessary evil, but Post and Parcel makes it completely painless.

The place advertises that they make "custom boxes", but when I call and ask them to make me a box with the dimensions I give them they won't do it! They say they make boxes to fit around stuff if I bring it in. Well, I just gave you the damn dimensions. WTF, do you want my business or not. Make me a damn box, biotch!
