Open mic every Monday. This place is very big and awesome for parties! At the open mic I was so amazed to listen to local Houston artists singing and performing. The music started until 11:00 pm on a Monday. The food truck had delicious jalapeno and cheese and meat rolls. The drinks are great and the service is first class. They also have security.

My wife and I stopped by for a early evening drink and ended staying for several hours Let me tell you Cassie is not just an amazing asset to your business but and absolute joy as a person. You should be proud of finding great people to work for you and also lexi is a great manager she stepped in when it got busy and no one waited for a drink. Great place we will be back.

Google
A chill spot to visit if you want to have a good time with friends and family. The DJ was great and played an assortment of music. Different games scattered throughout the bar to enjoy. The Big Block Jenga is our favorite. There is a food truck where you can order food. We were there for a party and the bar service was decent. You can order from the bar or order in your section. There is a 12% service charge if you do order from your section or table. The best drink that I had was the Peach Whisky Sour. The cinnamon stick was a nice touch. I was highly disappointed in the old fashion. It wasn't well mixed and was not served with a single Big block of ice. The Berry Fizz was watery.

Post oak Ice House has a very well maintained open bar with a lot of sitting games and friendly south. They do not serve food, but they do have a gentleman who cooks fresh food just outside. Also a great place to take your date or group.

Google
The bartender greeted us pretty quickly and took payment and then it took at least 15 minutes to get 2 drinks. When she brought the drinks she apologized for the wait because she had to go find all of the ingredients. Understandable, but the drinks were absolutely terrible. We could only drink one of them and ended up leaving after paying $30 for just the 2 drinks.

🌟 A Hidden Gem in Houston! 🌟 I recently visited Post Oak Ice House, and it was an incredible experience from start to finish. The atmosphere is vibrant yet welcoming, making it the perfect spot to unwind after a long day or celebrate a special occasion. The cocktails are a standout—creative, beautifully presented, and absolutely delicious. The new seasonal menu is a must-try; every drink is crafted with care and attention to detail. What truly sets this bar apart is the staff. They’re attentive, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about what they do. They make every guest feel like a VIP. Special shoutout to their themed nights and events—whether it’s karaoke, lotteria, or football Sundays, there’s always something fun happening. The patio is another highlight, especially in good weather. It's cozy, well-decorated, and a great place to relax with friends. Overall, Post Oak Ice House has everything you could ask for: amazing drinks, friendly service, a lively yet laid-back vibe, and events that keep you coming back for more. Highly recommend

Google
Great spot! Great vibe….good music…games and good food truck. I ran into a bartender named Kas the last two times I’ve been here and she is incredible! Great service and very friendly! Takes great care of all her customers. It was pretty busy but she kept up and handled the pressure. I’ll definitely be back.

Google
I normally visit for casual Wednesday's for all the fighting games. The Bar staff are very friendly and really quick, but they definitely do stay busy. Their drink selection is pretty good and they also have seasonal options. Whileaybe not inside the business, they do have different food truck options available if you're hungry.

Santos V.

Yelp
Kass was amazing! Every second I needed a drink whether I wanted it or not she was there! Definitely left a good impression, will come back every time she's here. !!!!! #Never Thirsty Again !!! She's the G.O.A.T.!!!

Yelp
Not a bad place for a couple drinks. Service was fine. Hadn't paid their DirectTV bill so it had a message across the screen covering football game score. Probably won't visit again. No food.

Yelp
I took my girlfriend here for a date on their poker night and what should have been a chill weekday kickback turned into a nightmare. This is my second 1 star review out of 30+ reviews I've written on Yelp, I truly did not want to write this. I plead that you steer clear of this establishment as there are places that are overall much better (and won't treat you poorly). Before I explain exactly what happened, I'll start off by recommending places you should go instead. For Icehouse-type Bars: Kirby Ice House, Axelrad, Heights Bier Garten, Bayou Heights Bier Garten. All of these places have a nicer space, cheaper drinks (better selection too), and excellent service. I assure you, you will not regret a trip to the places I mentioned above. For Poker: My preference is Empire Poker Club for friendly clientele/staff and free/cheap tournaments (literally down the street from this place). Or Texas Card House for slightly pricier tournaments and a more active vibe. Now to explain why to never come to this place...strap in. The night starts with me meeting my girlfriend here around 9pm. She had gotten there first so had already got a beer, when I arrived I also got a beer and then we started playing poker. My girlfriend eventually got another drink...business as usual, right? As she was starting on her new drink, she made the grave mistake of *gasp* dropping her mascara on the ground. This triggered the bartender for whatever reason, and my girlfriend was told that she was cut off. Yes...on her SECOND drink. I wish I were making this up. But look, I get it. That's a bartenders job and they have the right to cut people off. If we're being real, it was totally uncalled for, being that she was not drunk or acting belligerently, but they still have the right to deny service. Fine, it's not the end of the world. My sweet girlfriend didn't talk back either, she accepted being cut off and intended to finish the beer she had already bought. At this point she was watching me play poker and sharing her drink with me since I had finished mine. It didn't take long for me to lose, so we went outside afterwards to play the golf-like bar game they had out there. We were chatting, playing the game, and finishing what was left of the beer. We didn't intend to stay long but we were still taking our time sipping the drink and enjoying the moderate weather. To our surprise, this is when things take a turn for the worse. The bouncer walks up to us while we're talking amongst ourselves and interrupts, telling my girlfriend "You were cutoff but you are drinking someone else's drink. You need to leave." We calmly explained to him that it was HER same drink from earlier and she was just sharing it with me. "It doesn't matter. You need to leave." At this point, I chose to be the bigger man and said, "Okay, we understand." I finished HER drink, walked it back to the bar and closed my tab ($9 for one beer, gratuity already included...LOL). We go to my car, absolutely baffled that we were kicked out for nothing. I start looking on my phone for places to eat when I notice one of the bouncers had followed us and was standing across from my car and watching us, waiting for us to leave. Seriously??? I have never been treated this unfairly at ANY establishment the whole time I've lived in Houston. My poor girlfriend felt horrible too, being that she doesn't like causing issues and didn't understand why they targeted her. It truly felt like we were discriminated against...for what reason, I could not tell you (I could make a couple guesses, and you might already have the same guesses in mind). Suffice to say, you should not risk ruining your night here. Instead, go to one of the recommendations I mentioned earlier. I feel bad for the business owner too because I'm the kind if patron that would have brought my friends here, would have brought my girlfriend again, literally would have spent hundreds of dollars at this place if it weren't for this horrible experience. Because of how we were treated, I will warn everyone I know NOT to come to this place. It will be #1 on my list of worst bars in Houston. Save yourself the potential misery and go somewhere else, we live in a city with some of the best bars in the country. You deserve better than this.

Yelp
Music was great. Food was really good from the poop Food Truck I loved lobster roll great price point and you can really bring big groups here and have a lot of fun fun there's games and it's not a classic bar where you just sit around and look at each each other, you could really actually have fun and do things.
google avatar

Yelp
If its watching sports or just hanging out this place can accommodate large groups. A few years ago I had my birthday here with about 30 ppl and that didn't put the slightest dent in service or space. It has lots of tvs, games like jenga, cornhole, board games, big connect 4, and a few arcade games as well. Good array of drinks, but don't look for anything too special as specialty drinks will be as you are at a sports bar. You will however find your popular domestic, imports , brewery beers and seltzers. Service and management was friendly and I have been back a few times since and basically same experience. Food wise, no kitchen, but you can order in and they have food trucks and popups most of the time I have been.

Yelp
Been here a few times for dates or when I just need to get out of the house and relax. As with most Houston ice houses, there's plenty of seating, lots of tvs, games, outdoor areas, a food truck, and plenty of drink options. I enjoy watching sports here as I sip on my beverage and chill in my surroundings. While it does get loud at times, the crowd is mostly laid back with the exception of that one guy who loves his team a little too much. The bartenders are nice and I always seem to find parking here. Just a solid bar off of Richmond avenue that suits a night of drinking, chilling, first/second dates, or just relaxing.

Yelp
I met a few friends here on Saturday nite. This was my first visit and they did not disappoint. There is ample parking behind the building. I sat inside for a minute as we were watching the game. I had a few old fashions and they were fixed well. They have a food truck on site and although I didn't order, one if my friends did. I tried there shrimp and fish plate and it was very good. Inside there are two very large screens in either side and of the bar and many other around the walls. I eventually retired to their very large and comfortable patio. There were also large screen TVs outside and very comfortable seating. I throughly enjoyed my visit and I will return in the future for football games in Sundays.

Yelp
Fun place to grab a drink and have a good time with friends. Very spacious and lots of games to play. This is not the place to look for fancy drinks . Drinks are just ok but the space to relax and have fun make up to it. Service is as expected for a bar. Not sure if this is standard but we had some delicious puertorican food from a stand in their parking lot.

Eyu M.

Yelp
Lack of food and a better playlist is needed. Service is great, a nice ambiance I just never see this place packed. Typical bar food is needed, in order to keep the drinking going.

Art Q.

Yelp
I have written this establishment because I noticed that a bartender added a separate extra $20 charge to my bill when I got my statement. I have not heard back. I notified my credit card company. Be aware.

Yelp
So we went here for the sole purpose of checking out steak night and for a Thursday night was a chill place to hang out after work, get some drinks and have some good food. We did the t bone combo, comes w two lamb chops, sausage, loaded mashed potatoes and salad, being as it was a lot of food we split it which was probably a good idea otherwise we'd probably both have eaten half and took a whole steak home lol. The price was not bad either for all of that I think it was like $28. The bar itself was pretty spacious with both inside and outside space seating. They have a lot of games and things to keep you entertained if you're into that stuff, some arcade basketball and other stuff. Tonight was actually trivia night so we played along and the DJ/trivia host was pretty entertaining. Would definitely go back.

Yelp
Always a good time. I like that it's versatile. You can watch a game (on its many tvs) during the day and at night have a drink, listen to music and hang with friends. The day time is chill, at night the music gets louder but it's not crazy like a club. It's a good vibe. You can listen to good music and still have a convo. And there's always a good food truck there. Good casual place. I've been here for a date, hang out with a group of friends, and brought family from out of town (about 7 people) to drink, play board games, cornhole, and eat. They have. Few couches but mostly tables. Never had an issue with the bartenders. So good service. Good vibe.

Yelp
I liked Post Oak! It's a great place to hang out and watch a sports game, catch a drink after work, just enjoy a drink with friends.

Jacqueline L.

Yelp
5/5 service. The ladies at the bar were so nice and attentive. Came for the fighting game night and enjoyed people watching. Plenty of seating and someone outside was grilling up burgers. The Smoke and Melon wasn't my favorite but I but the rest of the cocktails are nice!
google avatar

Kristen A.

Yelp
Just okay. Maybe we went on an off night? There was absolutely no music playing which was strange to me. Seemed like you had to pay to play music, we were there for a little over an hour and heard maybe 3-4 songs. The drinks were good! Not too strong, just how we like them. The bartender was sweet. No floor service, so if you want something you go to the bar to get it. My boyfriend and I had a very intense game of jenga with the big blocks, which we enjoyed. They started moving furniture around halfway through our game and I was nervous it was going to mess it up, but it didn't. (I still lost ... I let him win lol) Very average place, with above average scenery and games. Has potential to be a great bar!
google avatar

Natalie T.

Yelp
I come to this bar on the occasion and it's the best! The atmosphere is fun and the music is top tier. Reema is the best and has some great recommendations. They have some pretty awesome deals throughout the week depending on the day you come. The holiday drinks have been awesome the Cold Brew Martini and the Fallen Apple Sangria are a must try! Service is always attentive, definitely recommend if you want a great bar in Houston!
google avatar

Paul M.

Yelp
Visit the Ice House when you're in Houston if you are determined to have a great time and a great atmosphere with wonderful drinks. The crew is lively and fun, and there are plenty of games to play while enjoying your favorite beverage
google avatar

Tia S.

Yelp
Very spacious bar with large patio and tons of TVs. I came here because I was searching for a dog friendly bar in the Galleria area. This is not in the thick of the gallery so parking is easy/free and getting in and out is convenient. The back parking lot is not paved which was a little less desirable when having a dog. There is no kitchen so you're subject to whatever food truck or stand they have at the time. The drinks were affordable and just the right amount of strong. There are several board games and a few arcade games. The music was jammin and the crowd was diverse. Service on my visit wasn't great, but it was a busy afternoon with most guests watching football. I would definitely visit again.
google avatar

Tiffany I.

Yelp
Usually I have a great experience here but we got totally ignored here by a girl named Lexie, terrible experience and made me not want to come back. Especially when we called her multiple of times and it's not busy. Then you attend people after us? Do better.
google avatar

Jon L.

Yelp
The worst/weakest double vodka tonic I've ever had in my life. I think they forgot the vodka.
google avatar

Yisrael O.

Yelp
Best bar lounge. I got her by accident and had so much fun with my date! Was a Wednesday night and sang karaoke had great drinks great food truck outside as well! We enjoyed ourselves a lot and definitely will visit for more fun karaoke nights! :D
google avatar

Tanisha T.

Yelp
I went to Post Oak Ice House to watch the Astros game and it was perfect! The drinks were refreshing, they had a lot of seating options, the food truck was bussin, and the staff was attentive...oh and parking was EASY! (A huge bonus in Houston). I'll definitely be back!
google avatar

Jim B.

Yelp
I absolutely love the concept of this place and wanted so much to have an amazing time but, not so much. The layout is great with indoor and outdoor options. The food trucks offer decent food, but not stellar. The drink selections are very good. The biggest issue is the location. It's not a great area and there are homeless people near the parking area. The second biggest issue is nobody seems to go there. I've been 3 times and there were a total of less than 10 people there each time. I want to be surrounded by a lot of people having fun when I go out, but this didn't happen here.
google avatar

Mabel L.

Yelp
Very cool spot , a lot of activities to do while having drinks. The ambiance tho will depend a lot on the people present that night. The shared women/men bathroom was too awkward for my taste.

Alex L.

Yelp
Me and my girlfriend have lived 10 minutes away from this spot for a year and never noticed it! Randomly passed by and stopped in for a drink, very chill vibes, great drink menu. This is a great place to come for relaxed date night or pre dinner drink. Will definitely be coming back
google avatar

Christina M.

Yelp
I like this ice house. Plenty of room for seating indoor and outdoors. They also have games galore, from arcade style, basketball to the bigger outside games. One thing I especially like about this place is the crawfish!! Spot on good! Full of season and nicely sized. The parking lot can get full but they tell you to park next door and they won't tow. I'd double check before i did it still. They were also 23 and up when I went for the fight. I'm not sure if it's that's at all the time but it was when I went Saturday night. The bar is huge and service is pretty good so I'll definitely be back. Nice to have a new ice house with a cool vibe!
google avatar

Cecelia C.

Yelp
This place is kind of ghetto. I didn't really catch a good vibe. The bathrooms were dirty. And there is been a couple of shooting by it . The service is very slow. It was pricey for the stuff that you got.
google avatar

Chris W.

Yelp
Fun place with great drinks and service. I happened in there during a Spanish bingo night and won $25 worth of drinks. Good crowd and well run! Lots of other activities in this spacious place!
google avatar

Todd M.

Yelp
Not bad, nice place, nice patio good prices. Wasn't crazy about the mixed drinks and they only have main stream beer options. Typical bar IMO. I pretty much could smell weed the entire time here, not sure if people were smoking on the patio or in their cars before coming inside. Good location, staff was good, clean place I would go back. It's walking distance to sams boat so you could go back n forth b/w the two.
google avatar

Mustafa C.

Yelp
I went there for a few drinks and sit at the bar. Staff was very friendly . Ambience also great .Will definitely visit again .
google avatar

Pete T.

Yelp
Post Oak Icehouse is a great place to visit! The bartenders ( Mo, Kassie, Jordan, Bella and Luis) are all awesome and creative behind the bar. Drinks always spot on. They have various games for entertainment. They have different food vendors nightly. Very relaxed atmosphere... go check it out!l Ask Mo for a sweat tea shot!
google avatar

Will M.

Yelp
Ashly is one of the main reasons I come here. Always gives amazing service! Before we met Ashly we had a few negative experiences but she turned that around for us.
google avatar

Cory K.

Yelp
Super chill Sunday afternoon. Football in every screen. Huge open space. Good cocktail menu, not overly complicated. Giant Connect Four game. Mrs. Cory K. took 3/3. Good times.
google avatar

Miguel R.

Yelp
Great place to come to relax have a drink and a bite. Today the "Culinary Boricua " was there with Puerto Rican street food. The food was great, the ambiance great. Culinary Boricua will be here every Sunday in April.

RC P.

Yelp
This place is amazing! Very friendly staff, decently priced drinks (much cheaper than any other bar in the loop), and very fun environment. The DJ's are are sooo good. Good place for fight nights as well. The first time I stopped by Post oak ice house i went to grab a quick drink after work with a coworker. We met this strapping asian gentlemen who was also sitting at the bar. Turns out he was the owner, and he even bought us a drink! This is hands down my favorite bar in Houston, definitely recommend you to check it out. You won't be disappointed.
google avatar

Ariadne P.

Yelp
I have been driving by this place for months and I finally went. I love the vibe and the cute atmosphere. It's definitely IG worthy and great place for anything from hanging with friends to a cute blind date meet up or date.
google avatar

Jessica N.

Yelp
Great and chill spot. Especially to catch a game or chat with friends! Kasy is the best bartender. Ask her to make you a ranch water! You won't be disappointed!!
google avatar

Nellie D.

Yelp
Casual place. Serves steaks or something random outside. Bar only and they have great people who do bingo nights. So friendly!

TeRon G.

Yelp
My favorite bar in Houston! I moved further away from the bar a year ago so I haven't gone as much. However, once I walk through the door I'm still treated like family the atmosphere at this place is electric! This is the best time of the year to sit outside, have a drink, and just chill! Also, PARKING IS NEVER A PROBLEM!!!!!!
google avatar

Tasfia A.

Yelp
What a cute spot to hang out with friends when the weather is super nice! Loved my experience here; it's about time they introduce more patio bars to the Uptown area. It's a spacious bar with both indoor and outdoor seating...lots of games to pass the time and super friendly bartenders. They have a nice variety of drinks...I enjoyed my Rum Punch (for the sweet tooth Yelpers out there, I'd recommend it). I'll be back for more as the weather warms up! Parking situation: on-site
google avatar

Foodie F.

Yelp
First time here & really enjoyed the patio seating this evening with my husband. However, the only food this place has is the food truck of the day - which closes at 8pm; what a bummer. On the other hand, went to take care of my tab and didn't get an official "bill" other than my credit card on file being charged.
google avatar

Breion S.

Yelp
Came here after work. First bartender ehhh she was ok. But the closing bartender KASSY came in and man she was the ! Best drinks I've had here. Ask Kassy to make you her green tea shot. You won't be disappointed. And her Vegas bomb was spot on too. Good music and good vibes all around and it's only a super chill Tuesday. Thanks Kassy.
google avatar

Max D.

Yelp
I have been coming here since they opened a few years ago and it quickly became one of my favorite local spots. It's a great place to watch games, grab a drink after work, and even host events. That being said, the biggest selling point is the staff! Jordan in particular has been INCREDIBLE since my first day here. She always greets me with a smile, has my usual on the bar before I sit down, and always makes sure that I have a great time. Keep it up guys!
google avatar

Aaron L.

Yelp
Came to this place after work on a Friday for some drinks. Jordan really made my experience worth it. The vibe is dope & Jordan's service was great. I'm for sure coming back!
google avatar

Gaybrielle H.

Yelp
The bartender Jordan is so sweet! Everytime I come here, she makes the best drinks and her personality is a breath of fresh air!

Henry F.

Yelp
Five start to my favorite bartender Mo! Always making the visit a very pleasant one. I'm definitely coming back.

Casey L.

Yelp
I've been coming here for a couple years now and it's one of my favorite local spots; relaxed vibes, fun events, and great drinks. What really keeps me coming back though is the incredible and friendly staff - especially Jordan. Even when the bar is at its most busy, she still takes the time to chat with everyone and keep the mood fun and friendly. There are several times I've seen regulars walk in and before they are even at the bar she has their go-to drink ready. She, along with the other staff, are a huge part of what makes Post Oak a good experience every time.
google avatar

Rebecca B.

Yelp
Been here several times with coworkers for after-work drinks. The bartenders have all been really good. Friendly and attentive. Sometimes there is table service sometimes not so I always order at the bar. The crowd on weekday afternoons is mid- to older professionals and quite representative of Houston so a very comfortable vibe - I guess the galleria area is too uncool for the younger crowd (there's also an age minimum - 23 and up I think). Quite instagrammable in terms of decor (not divey). Open air and can accommodate some social distancing if that's important to you. Large free parking lot in the back (gravel and uneven so leave the low-riders at home). Gonna rate them 4 stars because the back parking lot, while big and spacious, could use some leveling. Sometimes they seem to be have food vendors prepping for the evening and sometimes not - there is no kitchen here. Check their food lineup online, seems to change often. Perhaps they'll have food trucks on more weekdays days in the future. Nice place for sure.
