Yelp
I've always loved Postino. The food, the wine lineup, the atmosphere, all of it has made it one of my favorite places. I've gone often because it always felt welcoming and enjoyable, and I truly looked forward to each visit. That's why this experience was so disappointing and honestly upsetting.
During my visit, Postino was promoting two specials: buy 100 dollars in gift cards and receive a 30 dollar bonus card, and half off bottles to go. I was excited to take advantage of the holiday deals because I genuinely enjoy their wines. But what I was charged didn't match the promotions that were being advertised. After checking the prices online, in person, and on DoorDash, I realized the same bottles had three different prices, and none of them matched the promotional pricing shown in the photos I attached.
On top of that, I didn't receive the gift cards I purchased, and I wasn't given a receipt at checkout. When I requested an itemized receipt later, the version I received did not reflect the actual pricing or match any of their menus. It felt inaccurate and left me confused.
When I contacted the restaurant, the only response I got was that I was the first person to notice any issues. After that, I never heard anything back. No follow up, no explanation, and no effort to make things right. It made the whole situation feel even more disappointing, especially because I reached out in good faith with photos and details.
I've had so many good memories at Postino and truly love their food and wine selection, which is what makes this experience so discouraging. I really hope management takes this seriously, because transparency and communication matter, especially to the people who visit often and genuinely enjoy what they offer.
