PostScript Announces Houston Opening in February - Eater Houston

"PostScript wants Houston diners to put on a pair of rose-colored glasses and eat. It will open at the Shops at Arrive River Oaks on February 12, with a “modern American” menu from chef Bryan Caswell, according to a press release. Caswell most recently helmed the now-closed and much-revered seafood spot Reef. Before that, he had notable runs at El Real Tex-Mex Cafe and Jackson Street BBQ, which are now closed. Caswell’s menu for PostScript will include caviar donuts with white chocolate creme fraiche, mustard brulee short ribs, Akaushi tomahawk ribeye, raw and roasted oysters, a shellfish tower, crispy rice sushi, and throwback desserts including a baked Alaska and 11-layer chocolate cake. Where GAP Concepts, the hospitality group behind PostScript, comes in is with the style of the place. Like its XOXO Dining Room in Dallas, this restaurant will be a visual feast with loads of pink inspired by the metamorphosis of a caterpillar to a butterfly. The company hired artist Romain Lefebvre, also known as Punk Me Tender, to create artwork for the restaurant, including butterfly embellishments on the exterior, installations at the bar, a custom pink piano, and more. Each booth will feature “press for Champagne” doorbells. The restaurant also features a cocktail lounge with a pink quartz bartop and what the group refers to as a “princess table” that is flocked with photos of Princesses Diana and Grace of Monaco. PostScript will be at 2800 Kirby Dr., Suite A-132. It opens on February 12, and reservations are available now." - Courtney E. Smith

Google
We picked this place for a birthday dinner. To start, it is a charming spot with a pinkish floral interior that hinted at a delightful dining experience. However, the first hint of issue came with a limited selection of entrees printed on a 2-sided flimsy paper menu. The restaurant appeared to be understaffed. Service was mediocre. The food was good and savory but overpriced. While the quality was satisfactory, it did not justify the steep cost.

We had a best time celebrating my friend's birthday. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The food was good and the drinks.Beautifully well decorated, and I love the pink colors 💗. Outside is nice, too, with flowers decorated on the top of the celling. We definitely go back again.

Google
Came here for a celebratory lunch with 2 friends. We mainly chose the spot for the ambiance. Our orders came at an average time. The food and drinks were subpar and quite overpriced for the portion and quality. We asked for ketchup twice and it was finally brought when we were almost done with our lunch. The restaurant was pretty empty so not sure why the service was so delayed. Presentation wasn’t anything special either. We were surprised when a 20% gratuity was automatically added for a party of 3 people when their website states over groups of 6. We didn’t really ask about this but it felt unethical. After trying this place once I probably won’t return again.

Absolutely the cutest spot in town! We celebrated a bachelorette party for my friend and we’re very impressed from the moment we walked in. The cocktails were fantastic and the food was great!! They Absolutely went above and beyond and catered to our every need. We were a bit loud but they were very gracious to us. I can’t wait to return for date night with hubs, they have a 36 oz. Tomahawk steak that I know he would love to try. Highly recommend this gorgeous spot.

Google
The place is cute. It is cute for photo ops and that's pretty much it. Service is subpar at best and I mean really subpar. My cousin brought her niece with her and while they do not prefer to serve children, they never said they didn't. She asked for extra napkins and the server told her they don't give extra napkins for children. Do they not have a napkin budget? Do the patrons need to chip in? And help them with their napkin budget? Really? What business does that? They completely messed up the check. Did not have our table ready. Switched up our seating arrangements a day beforehand. We were told we would have one area and we're directed to another. Waited 2 hours for our food. Waited an hour for water and another half hour for drinks All the while our hostess was pouring herself drink after drink. Food came out all at once. We had ordered appetizers and asked that they be sent out first. Reservation was made 2 weeks in advance. It took 7 days to actually get a hold of someone. Like I stated before, the place is cute. Great photo ops. I've been there once. I have no desire to ever return again.

Google
My Wife and I came for our anniversary and I scored MAJOR points with PostScript. I was looking for a great dinner spot with great food, beautiful ambiance and precision service. 10 out of 10. We were met with excellence from the moment we stepped in the building to the moment Jonathan the manger escorted us out. He really made us feel very welcomed and appreciated while his team was especially attentive to our requests and didn't miss a beat. We will definitely be returning. PostScript Wow!

Google
I loved the decor and the whole setup of this restaurant/Lounge. It was beautiful. The drinks were great. I was however a little disappointed with the food. Such a small selection to choose from and over priced. I was also disappointed to learn that the Champagne Button on the wall is just for show. It doesn’t really work. But over all nice place for ladies and great photo backgrounds.

Yelp
The cutest spot! It's a girl's dream eatery for sure because of the decor and vibe. Took my daughter and friends here for her sweet 16 dinner and it was a success for what she was looking for. The decor and aesthetics are everything. The restaurant is decorated with detail. There's a bar and lounge eating area, outdoor seating, full dining area and a private room. Whether your party is for 2 or 20, they can accommodate for sure. There isn't a cake cutting fee either which is a good thing if you're celebrating something special. The food was very good and wasn't heavy feeling. We ordered chicken hummus (A), jumbo crab cakes (A), truffle pepperoni flatbread (B+), short rib (B+), French onion dip (A) and I want to say redfish (A+). Don't judge us for our large and expanded appetites. The manager walked around and made his presence known in a positive way. The customer service overall was average. I don't think they were prepared for the large crowd of people that night. The food was tasty and the atmosphere was so nice, I would definitely go back despite of the service. I really believe they were doing the best they could with the staff they had that evening.

Yelp
I really wanted to like PostScript because, if you know me, I love pink and was super excited to try this place for my birthday. To start, I went in person and made a reservation for a large group for my birthday party. I was told to call the manager to ensure we were seated at the table we wanted to be at. The number on the card was disconnected, and the restaurant line was impossible to get a hold of anyone on. I ended up emailing the manager with several questions to help plan my birthday party. He replied to one of my questions and ignored the rest. I followed up with another email and never heard back after that. On the day of my party, I arrived 15 minutes early to set up the table before my guests arrived. I was told they didn't have my table ready, and we had to wait for quite a while before anyone checked on us. Off to a bad start already. Then, the service. My guests all had to walk to the bar at the front of the restaurant to order drinks because the waitress left us unattended for the first 20-30 minutes after we were seated. Keep in mind, the restaurant was dead. It was 7 p.m. when the waitress finally came back to take our order--our reservation was at 6 p.m. Waiting an hour just to place our order is insane. And, of course, the food also took quite a while to come out. My guests had to go up to the bar for refills because the waitress and the rest of the restaurant staff seemed to be MIA. On top of this, they charge an automatic 20% gratuity. The food was mid, too. The only thing this place has going for it is the aesthetic, unfortunately. Extremely disappointing.

Yelp
Cute place perfect for a girl date and it's within short distance of the garage with free parking. Typical brunch/ lunch menu. Food was average, nothing to write home to. You'd go here for the ambiance. Service was okay, not very attentive as we had to call the server to get anything. What really set me off is that they added gratuity for a table of 2... coming from a restaurant background myself, I've never ever in my life have seen any place add gratuity for a party of 2 and at 20%. Gives me the vibes that they wanted to give bare minimum service and get away with it.

Yelp
I thought this place was super cute and perfect for a girls outing! The food and drinks were delicious, but a tad bit pricey in my opinion. I also thought the service was pretty slow going on a Thursday evening. Overall, everyone was very friendly and helpful.
google avatar

Yelp
Visited this restaurant on a Sunday afternoon. Parking is good with garage and street parking available. Service was amazing. Everyone was very friendly, helpful and humorous. It was also surprisingly pretty empty for a Sunday afternoon. If you come here, it's definitely more for the aesthetics, photo ops and ambiance rather than the food. The brunch option was very limited and I don't think the value of food is good for the quality versus price.

Yelp
Honestly not my favorite place to go. i think it's kind of over rated . The place its self is pretty and the decorations are nice. But i wouldn't eat here as the food is just okay nothing special . The drinks are fine over priced and the service i haven't had the greatest experience. If you like insta pictures and pink you should come for at least one drink because it does make a good photo shoot.

Yelp
Free parking garage available a short distance from the location. PostScript Houston is a true girls' paradise, offering the ultimate combination of aesthetics, content creation opportunities, delectable food, and stunningly cutesy views. The ambiance is unmatched, with incredible décor that makes it the perfect backdrop for photos. During my visit, I indulged in a Dusse margarita, which set the perfect tone for the meal. For starters, I enjoyed six raw oysters that were plump, meaty, and absolutely delicious. My main dish, the champagne shrimp, was a standout--the spiced pecans added a luxurious twist that elevated the dish to a whole new level. Every plate was beautifully presented, and it's clear that attention to detail is a priority here. The highlight of the experience was sharing it with my girl crew, and we were all blown away by the impeccable service. PostScript Houston truly offers an unforgettable experience, blending exceptional food, great vibes, and flawless service. This was my second trip... I highly recommend!

Yelp
Me and my girlfriend went here to literally gossip and laugh in a girly setting! When I saw this bar online, I instantly thought, I can go here to vent about life, boys being boys, work and travels in peace in this environment! They did not disappoint! We were greeted in the kindest way and sat instantly. The venue was pink and hand beautiful Chandeliers all over with a stunning piano and super comfortable seating! This allow for maximum gossip!! Being able to catch up with my girlfriend who was visiting from NJ was a treat! The food was delectable! We ordered their beef salad with a house vinaigrette, an appetizer, roasted chicken, and for the dessert, we split a ginger bread ice cream sandwich! Being able to laugh over smooth drinks while we bobbed our heads to the beat of the top 40 Tik Tok hits was all we needed to complete our busy day together!! This place is a 9.1 for me!!

Yelp
The service was horrible. The place is cute and well decorated. They do have valet parking, though a free parking garage is only a block away and worth the walk. The caviar donut, which they normally sell for $15, was so tiny. It was yummy. But there was no way to even break it into two bites. It was the size of a donut hole. We participated in HRW dinner, which was $55 and, in my opinion, not worth it. The other appetizers were a little larger, which made those who got the donut have to sit for a while between courses. Which brings up the waitress never knowing who got what. Everything she came out it was a mess. The pasta was so horrible. They labeled it as spicy. It was not. It tasted like a poor version of jar sauce and the pasta itself was overcooked. I sent mine back. I couldn't believe they would normally charge $25 for that. Insane. The desserts were good but came out in a staggered mess over 15 minutes. Those that got the key lime pie were frozen. They didn't tell us until the end that we could only split the check 3 ways and we had 8 individual payments. 3 of us decided to be group leaders and just have the others Zelle or cash app us. You think that would be easy enough. It took us an hour and a half for her to get the tickets correct! Despite me requesting the manager and literally writing out each group ticket myself. By the end if the whole thing it was not at all worth the hassle for subpar food and horrible service. They also state they have a dress code which most looked like they adhered to. But there were a couple of girls next to us wearing jeans shorts and barely their tops looking like they just rolled in of the beach. I definitely wouldn't recommend or go back.

Yelp
Girls love brunch, and what better place for a girls meet up? Very cute, very demure, very mindful. If the location and the decor don't blow you away, the food, drinks, and service will. Waiter:Taha, he was very personable and attentive. We also met another member of the staff Tommy. He was charming and attentive and even offered to snap a few photos for us. Food Truffle short rib Benedict. 10/10 Perfectly poached egg paired with a beautifully seasoned short rib and sweet potato hash and decadent truffle hollandaise. It was love at first bite. Drink Silver fox 10/10 Bourbon and chambord are a dynamic duo in this refreshing cocktail. Not too strong with the right amount of sweet. The ambiance, food, and service made this an overall great brunch experience. Parking: Valet $10 Garage free Street parking $6-40 depends on the #of hrs.

Yelp
This was my second time at Post Script for Brunch and it was worse than the first, which was unmemorable and didn't leave me wanting to return. I was skeptical about returning but it was for a birthday and I didn't want to taint the guest of honor's view of the restaurant. The Brunch menu is limited and food is just ok - definitely not great. Many in our 8 person party didn't love the food. The service was VERY slow. It took over 30 minutes to get our first round of drinks and even longer for the second. Everyone was done eating and ready to go by the time the 2nd round arrived. A few of us were missing items from our orders and it took tracking down other waiters to get our waiter's attention to follow up on the missing items. With the limited entree' options I didn't see anything I really wanted, so I ordered the Filet & Frites with a side salad (instead of the Frites) and a side of eggs. The Filet was supposed to be medium well but it was so tough I couldn't cut it with a steak knife. The "side salad" was literally just mixed greens and dressing - no toppings or anything additional. I asked the waiter to replace the filet with grilled salmon which others at my table ordered for their main salads and said it was good. It took forever for the salmon to come out but when it did it was seasoned well and was pretty tasty. We also had Brussels for the table and those were pretty good too. A friend had the Benny and could barely eat it. She said it was just a weird combo of flavors. We would have dealt with the slow service and the blah food BUT the issue came when I asked for a to-go box. Again, it took forever to come. The waiter initially wanted to "box" the food up for me but I asked him to just bring me the box. When the waiter returned he had a PAPER PLATE in his hand because they had run out of to-go boxes! Yes, you read that correctly - like the flimsy ones you have at the family cookout where the food soaks into the plate and creates a mess later. He really expected me to put my uneaten salmon on that plate so he could wrap it up with foil. If that wasn't bad enough he returned with a large obscene piece of foil that he tore off the roll, not even a professional precut piece!! I sternly told him I was not going to be doing that because it was just tacky and unprofessional. I requested the manager who eventually came to discuss my and the rest of our guest's distain. The manager relayed the same story about running out of boxes and I shared with him how unacceptable this option was and they could have gone to Costco, Walmart or anywhere else to find boxes instead of subjecting guests to this embarrassment. They really thought they would take my food in the back and wrap it up in the picnic plate so that I could discover the tackiness at home! The manager apologized and invited me back for another visit but at that point the whole experience was a failure in my book. While Post Script is pretty, that's all it really is when it comes to brunch. This poor choice and their inability to properly plan for supply inventory, unacceptably slow service, and subpar food makes this one of those places anyone with a decent pallet and standards should just skip. Clearly, I won't be back.

Yelp
Great Brunch spot and the ambiance is fabulous! Perfect for a photo op inside and outside especially. A total girlie girl's dream decor. I don't personally like Breakfast food so I only ordered truffle fries, but I'm definite turning. The Owner/Manager walked around and talked to the patrons

Yelp
Restaurant is definitely a Instagram-worthy place to come with your girly friends, deco is all floral and pink, ambience is great, and located in Shops at Arrive River Oaks. Service is impressive, they refilled our water constantly throughout the whole time. Food though is okay, price is reasonable given the location and decor of the place, but nothing really stood out in terms of the flavors. Presentation again is pretty, portion is small for all dishes.

Yelp
Book reservation on a Sunday for dinner with my girls. Upon arrival, didn't get the warmest greeting from the host but we are here for the food experience. We were sat immediately. The ambience was very nice. Restaurant was nicely decor and built out. Great opportunities for pictures. Service is quite slow for only having 4 tables to serve in the whole evening. We paid for parking so that didn't help how service took over 3 hours. Our server was very sweet but food took forever and not to mentioned most of our food came out salty. From the crab cakes, to the onion dip leading all the way to the side broccolini. The chef was very heavy handed with salt. They ran out of most of the items we requested for. The whipped mash was broken and tasted like grits. On top of it all, the way how they packed out to go dish looked like thanksgiving left over. That was the cherry on top. Did not expect that from a high end business casual restaurant.

Yelp
The initial factor that influenced me to dine here were the aesthetics, visually it's beautiful! PINK,GIRLY, & CHIC! A girls dream and perfect place to dine with your girlfriends. There were plenty of photo ops. I enjoyed the overall dining experience. The staff and service were excellent. In my opinion, the food was overpriced and I had a little trouble finding something on the menu. I'd visit here for special occasions not for the food per se.

Yelp
Such a cute place! Very pink, which I was not expecting but loved it. The drinks were pretty good, espresso martinis are always a hit or miss. The pasta was absolutely perfect. The texture of the noodles was cooked perfectly and the chicken blended so well with the pasta. The truffle fries was great too! Our server did very well. Would definitely come back.

Yelp
New restaurants on Kirby drive Free parking in the garage or valet.. OK, very Instagram worthy spot. I really enjoyed the Tarte flambé. It was a different kind of flatbread with a sweet to it. They have cooked oysters and roasted oysters. The menu is very small, but I think it's great for little groups to eat off of. Worthy for IG. Service was quick and fast got our drinks in time. The only thing they do is make sure your whole parties prior to seating.
google avatar

Anna K.

Yelp
I'd categorize it as the latest Little Hen but not very busy. Very pink and girly but a confusing concept imo. Since only one man was in the restaurant I'd expect a menu to be lighter with more fun salads and delicate bites. I didn't see anything on the menu that I'd crave or come back for. The drinks were good but service was slow and underwhelming. It's an enormous place so it will take a lot for it to look busy. The decor is fun and whimsical so definitely stop in once for drinks, pics and maybe an appetizer in the bar area.

Angela R.

Yelp
I went here with my friend for her birthday. I was not impressed. I'll give the ambience 10 out of 10, but everything else needs improvement. After ordering drinks, it was 30 minutes before our food order was taken, and even longer to get our food, which I could have made better at my house. My friend got the short rib bene, and the yolks in her poached eggs were hard. Her chicken sausage was so overcooked that she did not eat it. I ordered a burger. The meat was seasoned okay but overcooked. The French fries were floppy and very oily. I didn't eat most of them. The best thing we ate were the Brussel sprouts. No complaints about them. They were delicious! Personally, I feel like everything is overpriced, and I would not recommend it. To me this was a huge waste of money.

Megan E.

Yelp
This place is soooo overpriced for the most mediocre food I've ever had. The menu they served was not updated online so we already went in looking forward to ordering meals that were not even offered. My $4 coke was so so syrupy and barely carbonated which is so annoying that it cost $4 even if it was a good coke. My Caesar salad was literally drowned in funky tasting dressing. The place was practically empty when I went and I can see why. The cocktails were good, but so overpriced as well. It's a cute place inside but that's all it has going for it. I would not go back here unless they seriously dropped their prices to better match the level of food/drinks they are serving
google avatar

Yelp
This place was so amazing. It was so beautiful inside and the service was impeccable. The food was delicious and so were the drinks. They made me a special cucumber martini that was delicious. I did notice my drink might not have been charged correctly. I called and they fixed it for me with in the hour so again great service.

Yelp
I was so eager to try out PostScript since it's new and the aesthetics was drawing me in. I booked a Sunday at 1:30pm and was happy to see they had tons of availability. I got there around 1:25pm and they had valet for ($10) or there's metered parking ($5.50/hr). So you might as well valet. It would have been nice if valet was complimentary and they worked for tips. These restaurants just always feel like a money grab. Ugh. My friend was already seated at the bar when I walked in and there were 2 or 3 hosts at the host stand (not sure why it was that many of them) and they let me know we could be seated after my friend cashed out at the bar. Upon joining her at the bar, I became observant to a few things. The bartenders (both of the men) work very slow and were extremely unfriendly. I don't even think I got a hello. One of them in particular continued to stare me down with such a disgusting stern look. I was tempted to incur if he had a problem but I elected to let it go....this time. Also seated at the bar was an older gentleman who is either the owner or the GM (more on him later). My friend cashed out at the bar and we got seated in the dining room, which faces the patio. The patio is lovely and so is the dining room. That was until I looked up at the ceiling. There were several tiles missing, one of the open tiles had a small leak that was dripping and the walls along the ceiling need to be painted. I know they are new so I chose to overlook this eye sore. Our waiter, Gorkay (spell check), was charming, polite and attentive. He brought us menus, and my friend got the salmon BLT and I got the French toast. We also opted for a few mocktails and truffle fries. The food took under 10 minutes to come out to our table but the French toast was absolutely disgusting. I should have opted for the avocado salad. The things I did like were the ambiance, our waiter and the mocktail options. That was all. I'm frustrated with these new restaurants trying to be an influencer attraction/photo op that they forget to have good food. This place is just like Annabelle Brassiere. SIGH! Also, I said I'd circle back to the owner or GM, or whoever that man was. I noticed how he engaged only with certain tables because he clearly knew them, which is fine, but why not also go around and ask other patrons how they are enjoying themselves? You're a new restaurant so it wouldn't hurt to do so.
google avatar

Yelp
I wish I had the energy to truly recant the experience received this afternoon. But I don't. Because we were never served our food after being here for 2 stinking hours. I'm still sitting at the table & they can't even run the cards correctly for the tabs. 0/10 will not recommend. Who cares how cute the place is if you're going to pass out from starving while you're in it? YOU WONT SEE ANYTHING AT THAT POINT. Ugh.

Yelp
PostScript is an adorable, pink-themed restaurant in Upper Kirby. The ambiance is definitely Instagram worthy with pink covering every surface like a Barbie dream house. Be prepared for an evening of fine dining, and dress to impress! Bonus points for wearing pink. Service was very friendly and prompt. Our server Trey was awesome! A concern I always have with Insta-worthy restaurants is: Can the food live up to the ambiance? In the case of PostScript, the answer is...YES! I ordered the key lime silk mocktail which was like dessert in a glass! We started with the champagne gulf shrimp, which was absolutely delicious and served with green beans drizzled in champagne vinaigrette. For my entree, I ordered the Chicken Francesca; it was beautifully served over maitake mushrooms with asparagus on the side. All super tasty! What stole the show, though, was the Robochon puréed potatoes. I could have eaten just the mashed potatoes and been thoroughly impressed with my dining experience! Silky, smooth, buttery, and rich - these potatoes are a must on any trip to PostScript! I would definitely recommend PostScript for a nice dinner out. Note: Parking in the garage of the shopping center is very easy and free!

Yelp
I booked a reservation for Saturday morning and it wasn't too packed. Keep in mind they ask for your card when you reserve and will charge a cancellation fee if within 12 hrs or if you don't show. The interior was super cute, perfect for taking pictures. Loved the wall art and the flowers, butterflies. They even have a champagne button that they server said at night they have to bring you champagne which was super cool. We ordered the pastry basket and short rib bene, both were delicious! The pastry basket had a nice variety of pastries, all very good. The butter it came with was so creamy. The short ribs had a creamy ruffle sauce, the eggs were perfectly poached and the hash and short rib was very flavorful. Both great items to order for brunch! Overall the food was delicious and the service was great. Would love to come back and try their dinner menu!

Yelp
The decor of the restaurant was very pretty, but in terms of food I have to say it wasn't the best (especially for the price). I ordered the salmon crudo and the sauce was so overpowering to the fish that I couldn't even taste the salmon 90% of the time. I also went for my cousin's birthday and found out that they no longer provide the free dessert for whoever's birthday it is anymore, which was a tad upsetting, but the server was amazing because not only was she nice, but she went out of her way to go back and ask about it even though she was pretty sure they didn't provide the dessert anymore. So overall, would I come back? Maybe? Because although my food wasn't good, my cousin's truffle fries were actually amazing. I just genuinely don't know if the food was worth the price in my opinion

Yelp
This place is a joke. Don't let the pretty decorative rooms make you think different. First time here and it was not busy. Mom and I waited 40 mins for a drink!! Manager was oblivious and I had to pull him aside. Unreal and can't believe they are still in business.

Yelp
This is a very special spot if you like pink and/or butterflies. The decor is so pretty, pretty and pretty. Service to customers is very awesome. A very well greeting and great kindness to ensure you are served well. Me and my friend went for brunch. We ordered lavender mimosa. Our waitress asked if we like it and we said it we didn't complain but we did say it taste like a good champagne with no lavender flavor. She kindly apologized and offered to add more lavender and blackberries we agreed and then we can taste the lavender flavor. The brunch menu was unexpected. The entrees were mostly breaded type of food. I asked if they had a regular menu. Our waitress apologized and said they have the regular menu around 3pm. I choose the crab benedict with well done egg it actually was really good. My friend choose Houston in the Hole (hope I got it right) it was ok for her. It was my friend birthday so they gave a very mini cupcake with a candle, it was set up very nice with Happy Birthday in chocolate on the plate. It was very pretty and kindness. We plan to go again during dinner instead of brunch.

Yelp
The vibes are immaculate, themed a pink butterfly Barbie vibes. Got the crab cake Benedict and the French toast, and the dessert platter they were all decent and ok. The crab cake bene could be a little fresher. I thought the mangoes on French toast was a nice touch, loved the mangoes. Staffs were friendly.

Yelp
Was there for a friend's birthday. The salmon was okay but the chocolate cake dessert was the bomb.com. The service was good, cute server with nice accent. Beautiful ambiance too If you want to take pictures. It wasn't busy when we went to low noise. The decor was very intentional. I would go again.

Yelp
I have no complaints when it comes to PostScript. We had a large group and they seated us right away with our reservation, all of our food was correct and tasted great, and the restaurant is beautiful. Perfect for a date night or girls night out.

Yelp
For whatever reason the reservation system, did not correctly log the reservation. On a Sunday night, the restaurant was practically empty. The hostess could not locate the reservation. She made a fuss about it. The restaurant was empty it was a waste of effort to repeat not having reservation when it's clear the reservation platform did not work and the restaurant was empty. Then she stated that the table could not be seated until the majority of the party had arrived to the restaurant. Meaningless policy! I hate that I have had better hostess experiences as far less posh restaurants. The dessert course tasted like dry, stale, overpriced pastries. The interior design is the only praiseworthy redeeming aspect of this experience. I dislike that it is a restaurant that tries to be a loud club. I shouldn't have to shout to be heard by people at my table. With any music playlist, it is inevitable it won't be the music people want to hear. Worse to not be able to change it. The food portion was small. Instead of 8oz of chicken breast, it looked like 3oz of chicken. A cup of mashed potatoes, 4 asparagus spears, with 2 tablespoons of gravy for $30-$40. It was overpriced for what it was. Bad service + bad food + nice atmosphere = meh experience This super cute place will not last in Houston. I predict it will close in less than 2 years in Houston.

Yelp
The ambiance is what you're paying for. The food was very aesthetically pleasing but nothing special. The waiter was nice. This is an instagram restaurant & if that's your thing, you're gonna love it.

Yelp
I was extremely excited about trying out this restaurant based on the beautiful pictures I saw on social media. It is the perfect place for a girls night out with the beautiful art work and hues of pink and green throughout the restaurant. The menu contains a ton of fish dishes and vegetables prepared in different ways. I ordered the chicken dish which was flavorful and delicious. However, there were a few unsettling aspect. 1.) The small plate section of the menu is basically salads. I wouldn't have known that if our waiter didn't return to our table to verify this detail 2.) Our waiter was very nice but not attentive at all. There were multiple times we were waiting for his return. I also specifically said no mushrooms for my main dish but my plate was filled with mushrooms. 3.) They are very serious about the no extra lightening with photos. There was a staff member who would politely approach the table and reiterate the policy. It would have been nice if the staff member helped out the waiters who seemed to have difficulty with managing multiple tables. 4.) For a table of 2, our waiter told us it's an automatic 20% gratuity to the bill to split checks. This isn't a problem but this information was not posted on the menu or anywhere for that matter. However the message about the lightening was plastered just about everywhere. 5.) My friend ordered a specialty cocktail with a top shelf alcohol. She absolutely loved her drink but there was a bug who continued to fly around our table. Unfortunately the bug landed in her drink which was still 1/2 glass full. The staff member who refills the water glass noticed the bug in the drink and proceed to alert our waiter. Our waiter approached the table and my friend mentioned a bug flew into her drink. There was no additional request from my friend. The waiter apologized but stated unfortunately there was nothing he could do about it. This was also weird because my friend didn't ask for a new drink but he just assumed she wanted a free drink. Overall it is a beautiful restaurant with decent food. Unfortunately the service gives me no desire to return soon.

Yelp
First things first, if you're coming in during the evening make sure you have a reservation. Secondly, come with enough time to find parking if you don't plan on using valet. Third if you want to take pictures of your food come during the day when there's sunlight because they have a strict no flash photography rule apparently. My friend and I had a reservation on a Saturday at 6pm. No issues finding parking or getting seated. The restaurant is STUNNING. The most gorgeous, elegant, feminine restaurant ever. They did not skimp out on the ambiance. As far as the food goes it was okay. We ordered appetizers as our main entrees, two rounds of drinks, and desserts. The flat breads were good, the fries were good, the drinks were good. The dessert tray was really mediocre but that's to be expected. They had other better sounding desserts on their menu. Overall this is a cute place for the vibes. I would manage my expectations when it comes to the food. It's not 5 star quality food but it's enjoyable. For a girls day this is a cute place!

Yelp
This place definitely has potential but it's not quite there. I will start this review off by explaining the things that I liked and then explain things that they need to work on. * Friendly staff - The hosts at the front desk were energetic, presentable, and helpful. They found our reservation with ease and we were seated right away. We attended on Mother's Day. * IG Photo ready - This place is certainly photo-friendly pretty much everywhere. From the art outside the building, the entrance near the bathrooms, and the walls outside, you are sure to capture some good photos here. * Great location - I believe this is considered the Kirby area. It's a hip, millennial-vibe kind of area. You will love the area, even if you don't love the actual restaurant. It's also what I consider to be a centralized location for most Houstonians to get here easily. Now for the improvements. These are again, things that I think can and will eventually be improved as long as folks in leadership care. * The food is mediocre. Our bill was $150 with no alcohol. We got the pastry box as an appetizer, and it was decent but not anything to write home about. I also feel like they just have this stuff sitting in a warmer until someone orders it. My wife got the lobster bene, which she says was overly rich. The presentation was also not great. I got the Steak and Frites, which was the most expensive dish. The "Frites" were nothing more than a frozen bag of Ore-Ida french fries in a fancy bowl. I asked for my steak to be medium-well, and it definitely was probably still alive it was so rare. The key lime silk mocktail was a little too sweet but not bad. Mine did taste like it actually had alcohol but hopefully not. * Service - This is probably the thing I didn't like the most. Our waiter was nice but just not very attentive. We ordered a diet Coke with lime. They brought it but forgot the lime. The coke was completely flat. They brought the lime after asking for it again. I asked for another diet Coke, which was still flat so I just left it alone. The waiter did not pay attention during our meal to make sure our table was cleaned of items we didn't need since the table space was already tight. They also have to go all the way to the other side of the restaurant to process payment for the bills. That seems like something they should be able to easily rectify. * Other complaints - There were no paper towels in the bathroom, so I had to shake my hands dry. The menu is limited, which usually indicates businesses try to focus on a small amount of items on the menu and perfect it. Not the case with this establishment. Everything we ate was either mid or just bad. It's also pretty pricey but the food/service doesn't reflect that. Last thoughts. This place will get business regardless because of the location, ambience, and social media popularity but they need to work on possibly expanding their menu or improving the quality of the items already there. They also need to hire additional wait staff to improve the quality of service. I am not sure we would go back but encourage you to go to make your own judgment.

Yelp
My friends and I came here for a Saturday happy hour and dinner and I loveeeed it! We arrived a little late for our reservation so we sat at the bar while we waited for a table in the lounge. The lounge and bar offer happy hour until 6pm. It's a cute vibe and a great place for small gatherings or large groups as they have all size tables. The bar service was nice and sweet. During happy hour we got various drinks (cannot recall what my friends had because I downed 3 daiquiris during our visit!) but they were all good. For appetizers we had the oysters which were delicious! My first time having them raw and safe to say I am no longer afraid of raw oysters, along with shrimp cocktail. I've had better but it was still good! Once we moved to our table we got bread service which was mwah* chefs kiss. It came with apple butter and being from Indy now living in Houston, this touch almost brought tears to my eyes. Now for our meals. 10s across the board. We all tasted each others and it's safe to safe all three dishes are delicious. Even the Brussel sprouts were on point. We didn't need salt or anything. We definitely be coming back!

Yelp
The place has a beautiful ambiance, but the food was disappointing. My daughter and I ordered the burger and fries along with the pastry bread tray, and everything was overly oily--even the bread was too greasy and buttery. The burger lacked salt and overall flavor, making it unenjoyable. It seems common these days for visually trendy spots to fall short when it comes to the food. On a positive note, the service was great; our waiter was polite and attentive. I'd definitely return for cocktails but not for a full meal.

Yelp
Postscript is such a cute chic restaurant in Postoak. The food did take a while to come, and it was pretty average. The brussels sprouts were really good, and my salmon sandwich was very oily. I don't think it sat right with my stomach looking back at it.but it was a really cute vibe and lots of places to take pictures. They even have secret backroom. I would go again maybe just for drinks or maybe for a happy hour. Not for the food, just for the vibe.

Yelp
Went here on Saturday to celebrate a girls weekend with my best friend. It's very cute and pink. The decor is nice but I'm always leery of "instagrammable" restaurants as the food can be hit or miss. However, the food was great. My best friend and I split a steak and eggs, got oysters, and the shrimp starter. It was all delicious. But tbh the best part was the "tootsie" cocktail. That was the best cocktail I ever had in my life. I would say the service was pretty neutral. Not a bad experience. If im back in the Houston area I would eat here again

Yelp
Postscript... A beautiful new restaurant in Houston brought to you by the owners of Xoxo dining room in Dallas. Let's talk about the aesthetics. They definitely made this place photo friendly. It is absolutely gorgeous. If you love pink, and butterflies you will take 300 photos before even sitting down for dinner. After my photoshoot, I quickly reviewed the menu. The menu was pretty limited IMO. I decided to go with the Chicken Francesca. The chicken Francesca included sautéed chicken breast, miatake mushrooms, jumbo asparagus and Meyer lemon jus gras. This dish was pretty good. Note: the sides on all dish are pretty tiny. I appreciated the fact that our waiter let us know this in advance. If you are really hungry it would be best to order sides for the table and to share. My friend had the Brûlée short rib. She said it was very good. This dish comes with candied mushrooms. Again if you are very hungry be sure to order the a la carte sides. All in all this is how I would score PostScript: Ambiance: 10 Service: 10 Food: 8 flavor is great. Portion sizes are lacking.

Yelp
Yikes! Well, this was a complete bust! We tried this place for Valentines and it was a complete waste of $300. They had 1 hostess working on a busy night so it took us 15-20 minutes just to get seated. The line was backed up out the door and the hostess took her sweet time. We finally got to our table ordered drinks and an appetizer. By the time we got our drinks they were warm and a warm cocktail was just not it. We ordered the French Onion Caviar Dip, there were just a few little drops of caviar in a runny onion dip. It took over an hour to get our food and I understand it was Valentines but it really wasn't that busy or maybe they should have just planned to have more staff available that night. When our entrees finally arrived they were extremely bland and underwhelming. I expected a lot more for the money we paid. The snapper was full of bones, the salmon had no seasoning and the steak was extra bland. The only thing that had seasoning was the whipped mashed potatoes and the seasoning was salt and a lot of it! Definitely won't be back, what a waste of a dinner and night!

Yelp
Held a Mothers Day get together here with my girlfriends. This is a girly night out place for sure. The restaurant screams high end girly. The food was delicious and so were the drinks. We had such a great night here and the places for photo opts are endless. This is such a well decorated and maintained restaurant. Food is so worth the money!

Yelp
This is really a cute little spot to have a lunch date, I went with my friend for her Bday and they treated so us well, I didn't like the sliders I ordered and the chef came out to speak with me to get good feedback. I end up of getting the flatbread pizza. It was tasty I would recommend it. The place is aesthetically pleasing for pink lovers. The Pink Piano is Bomb!!!! perfect touch.

Yelp
If you're looking for a cute brunch place with the girls, this is it. Barbie would love eating here with the hot pink walls, elaborate decorations, and numerous photo opportunities. Postscript is definitely a feast for the eyes. The service is great as well. Our server, Rachel, was really attentive, super helpful in providing recommendations, and you could tell she was a pro at taking group pictures. Now, let's talk food. While the food was well presented, it was just okay. It wasn't anything mind blowing and there wasn't much to write home about. My friends and I did start off with the pastry basket which was a cute basket of mixed pastries that were pretty good. The muffins were moist and the financiers were something you don't see often and had great flavor. (Financiers are a French pastry, similar to a madeleine, but a rectangle). We also tried the Frenched Texas Toast, which was sweet and soft, borderline soggy - which I don't mind, but if you're looking for a French toast with more structure, this isn't it. The truffled toad in a hole came with a side salad and was a bit more filling since it had protein in it, but my favorite dish was the Truffled Short Rib Bene. That dish by far has the most flavor of all the dishes we tried. The pricing of everything was a bit more than I would have liked for the amount of food that you got, but for the area, I get it. Each dish was around $20-$30. A good place to go try out and take pictures overall though.

Yelp
This place is so cute and feminine in every way. Pink walls, chandeliers, butterflies, florals, all around a really lovely ambiance. There is a dress code which is new for me but once getting there I totally understand why. It was so fun to see people dressed up. They even offered house mocktails, great non-alcoholic options. Unfortunately the service was disappointing. We were forgotten about for about 30 minutes until someone remembered our table, then the waiter forgot our drink order. He comp'd the drinks which was polite. The salads don't have an option to add protein to them which was kind of strange despite having other protein options on the menu such as steak, shrimp, or salmon. Once we ordered, the food didn't take long. As a side note they have very limited gluten free options, a couple salads, the omelette, and some sides...

Yelp
Beautiful restaurant. Excellent service. Stupid rules. Mediocre food. Yes this place was built to be an Instagram worthy restaurant. Take pretty pics in pretty clothes. But please have you read the rules!??? The dress code is absurd. The staff have a right to decide if what you wear is acceptable . Also don't plan to celebrate here. No outside food or drinks or table decorations. While they enforced this rule with our birthday dinner - it was not enforced for everyone. I literally saw 2 birthday cakes go by. The table next to us had a full on flower centerpiece they brought on their table. So I guess the staff also gets to decide who has to follow the rules. And the worst part the food was meh. My short rib was the toughest piece of meat ever ! The salmon and the snapper dishes were bland. No wonder the restaurant was practically empty on a Friday night.

Yelp
We had a wonderful brunch at PostScript--the food was good, the service was excellent, and the restaurant is absolutely beautiful. Really, the restaurant is an Instagrammer's paradise, and deservedly so--it is very pretty and full of pink and cute touches (including the "press for champagne" buttons on the booths). I fully expect this restaurant to be a go-to for girls' brunches, bachelorette parties, and maybe even baby showers. As cute as the restaurant was, I wan't really expecting the food or service to be great, but it was actually very good. The French toast is to-die-for and super custardy, and the bite of my friend's brunch burger that I had was delicious, very juicy. And the truffle fries we had on the side were great too. Our server was excellent and seemed truly invested that we had a good time--I really appreciated his attention to detail.
