I came into your store today and got a sandwich. Honestly, I didn’t expect it to be anything special — but it turned out to be great! What really made the experience stand out was the customer service. A young man named Jon waited on us. He mentioned it was his first day, but you never would have known it. His customer service was out of this world! He had a big smile, a great attitude, and made us feel very welcome. I just want to say thank you to Jon and let the manager know what an extraordinary job he’s doing already. He truly made our visit a great one. Keep up the great work!

First time in and the service from the ladies working was fantastic. Super helpful and polite. I got the chicken club with all the add ons. The chicken was chopped but just didn't have a ton of flavor. 8" sandwich, drink and chips for $17. It was just alright nothing to get too excited about.

We arrived around 9:30pm. Service and people were on point, very fast and friendly service, but the prime rib steak sandwich was terrible, would not recommend it. Taste was not good and to much grisle. Not edible.

5/20/25 Nothing is more annoying than a businesses generic responses to poor ratings! NO we won’t be back! Romanelli’s will be our go to from now on where their subs far exceed Pot Belly’s, & more affordable! 5/19/25 A large sandwich with literally only ham, pepperoni and provolone, and a bag of chips cost me $19.99! Never again! These sandwiches are not worth that. Absolutely ridiculous!

Don’t order on the app… just call because you can’t build your sandwich the way you want. I ordered using the app and I like to add hummus to my sandwich but they do not have an option to add it on app so I put it in the instructions. “Please add hummus” Long story short instead of putting it on my sandwich they wrote on my sandwich bag “can’t, not paid for” and didn’t say anything to me at pickup. Just Put it on the sandwich and tell me when I pick it up, it’s not rocket science.I wouldn’t have put it on there if I didn’t want it. Not to mention I didn’t even get any toppings on one of my sandwiches (Which was my moms meal on Mother’s Day). I have never had a problem at any other location. Do better please.

Edit: it seems this locations customer service has fallen off… hard. Bummer because I really enjoyed how great it was before. Previous review: Staff here is incredible! Super friendly and efficient. Night and day difference compared to some other sandwich shops in the area.

I had the Steakhouse Beef sandwich and the Chicken Pot Pie soup and I can’t even describe how delicious it really was. This is a awesome place. It’s nice it’s clean it’s and it’s laid-back place to come eat

My sandwich was delicious! I had the skinny Italian which was just enough for me. It was loaded because I got the works and added cucumber. I made it a meal deal with chips and a drink! My boyfriend had the first sandwich (I forget the name) and he really enjoyed it! The bread was fantastic! Crunchy, soft and warm. We also ordered the chili, which we weren't fans of. The lady who helped us was so kind and fast. We were in and out, and enjoying our sandwiches at home in no time! It was delicious! So glad it's around the corner!!

I remember these sandwiches when I was living in Texas but haven't had them in years. We visited AZ and was so glad the franchise made it to AZ. The sandwiches are good but the pickles veggies on the side really elevate the flavors of the sandwich. I think the sandwich is good standalone but how can you pass up the pop of the spicy side of pickled veggies. The feel of the place is the same as all the other locations since it is a franchise but I don't mind that. It was clean and the service was on par. I will be back on my next trip to AZ.

Amazing servers and Tony has the best customer service, Sandwiches are awesome so much better than any of those other sandwich places out there prices are very reasonable, especially when you compare it to other places, the atmosphere is super homey and on top of that gives you that nostalgia of being home

An average-at-best sandwich shop with weak service and a confusing setup, I don't like leaving negative reviews, so let's dissect why is good and bad here. First, the bread they use HAS to be toasted. Otherwise it's stiff. Now, I'm sorry, but I don't like being forced to eat a hot sandwich. Sometimes a cold sandwich is what sounds good, and if the bread is too hard, then that's a no go. The girl working there told me, "you can get it cold but our bread is designed to be hot so it's soft..." whatever. The sandwich fillings are meh. The chicken salad tastes like nothing. The tuna is tasteless too. No interesting sauces, no interesting combinations. Just some very basic sandwich choices. Nothing even remotely unique. In these days of a thousand sandwich joints, boring chicken salad on frozen bread for $15 just doesnt cut it. The service was anemic. I guess I'm getting old because I really like being greeted in some way when I enter a business. It can be anything. Even a "?Hey you "is fine. but here, I walked in, and there was not a single acknowledgment from anybody. I waited an entire four minutes before anybody said anything. Now that may seem trivial, but with everybody tightening their belts, giving indifferent service won't get you much business. I will say that there was nothing wrong here. It wasn't bad. I don't need an apology or some reaction from the management. It was a go-hum sandwich served with indifference. And I paid almost twenty bucks for the privilege. So my overall rating is, "meh." I've had better sandwiches at the grocery store deli to be honest.

Lazy employee... Ordered from Uber eats and the employee didn't add anything to the sandwich at all... even the bacon that charged me extra wasn't added.

Came here when visiting from Southern California. It was sooo good!! My husband and I loved our sandwiches and great price as well.

This is a clean and friendly establishment. Very reasonably priced and the food was delicious. There's not a whole lot to say except if you haven't given this a try, you should. Very filling and satisfying!

What a sore disappointment to go into this potbelly. These kids have no work ethic anymore. Well, for the most part they don't they I must've been sitting there for five minutes before I even got acknowledged to place my order. By the time I got to the point where I needed to ask for sandwiches and stuff like that. They actually were slow slow slow and I've worked in the food industry before I became a professional and they could've done better. They were they were deliberately moving slowly, this happened Saturday or no I'm sorry Friday, January 24. I would not recommend going to this place.

Quality! The past two times the soup has been watered down like if they're trying to save on food and when I called, they told me there's nothing they can do both times. Just no customer service.

I got the Avo turkey with chips and sweet teas- I did add hot peppers and that spiced it up . The service was good the young men taking my order were very nice . The place is a vibe . The music was making me dance . Great place to eat .

Service here was atrocious. Ordered online on the potbelly website for toasted pbj sandwiches (one normal pbj and another pbj w/bacon) on the night of 09/06. Came 1-2 minutes on the time and one of the workers said it was finishing up (understandable). Waited another 25 mins just to ask them the status, one of the other workers said it's still being worked on and that they were busy with customers.... literally only 3 people were in. Apparently, the sandwiches were then ready and given to me without an apology, instead it was "have a good night"... nah that left awful impression. And the audacity to give me sandwiches cold.... so the sandwiches were done then why were they cold?.... assumed it was already done and they couldn't put in the effort to actually look for the sandwiches. Seriously? I didn't mind paying for overpriced pbj sandwiches here.... but because of the service and no sense of urgency or care... definitely not coming here again and actively suggest friends/family to look elsewhere for a better sandwich shop.

Trash location. Placed an order for two peanut butter and jelly sandwiches....literally the easiest thing to make. Waited an 20 extra minutes past the ready time AND THE SANDWICHES WERE ICE COLD like they had been sitting there the entire time. My bf checked twice and they told him it was packed....there were literally only 3 other people inside lmao.

I have been ordering here for a long time now, and this last time i ordered they sent to the wrong address and on my receipt it shows the right address i called about and was turned away blaming the driver...last time i ordered their food....

It was okay and the service was okay. My husband and son likes it but to me it was not my cup a tea place.

Service here was really nice! Not sure what others are talking about with bad service. Guy who helped us with building the sandwich was very patient (it was my first time in a potbelly) and listened to our special requests. Their foundation soda was flat but they were nice enough to let us have the bottled ones. Sandwich tasted good too. Lettuce was fresh and crunchy. One area of improvement is that voice doesn't travel well inside of the restaurant so it was hard to give or hear instructions from people working there.

Rude service . Took pictures & as we were walking out ,cashier said " take as many pictures as u want". I'm non White . NEVER coming back!... while we were at the parking lot leaving, a white patron came out with her order!! Gave 1star for cleanliness but deserves no star!

This is the second time, it happens. I ordered a tuna sandwich, instead I got a lettuce and bread sandwich. The girl that was making my sandwich was not nice at all, she was wearing a blue polo. I didn't get a receipt so I didn't catch her name. I drove from Laveen just to get a lettuce and bread.

Let's start with I love the Cuban! Potbelly is one great place to eat. Great food and staff. Let's talk about the Avondale location. Yesterday was our second visit. Both have been relatively the same. Food was pretty fresh. The two young lady's seemed nice but on the flip side kind of acted like they didn't want to be at work. I tried the chili for the first time knowing it comes in a bag and they heat it up. Not to bad. Added some pepper for better flavor. Cleanliness- considering that food locations were closed in the lobbies off and on over the last 2 years you would have expected companies would take the time to detail clean. Not this location. Light fixtures, signage, etc.... It's pretty gross. It makes me wonder how the cook and prep areas are! Overall the food and staff are pleasant. Just don't look up while eating!

Ordered through Door Dash ordered The Wreck looked good took one bite and it was beyond gross the meat was bad. So disgusting and sticky contacted Door Dash they said to reach out to them, I tried four times to reach out via Facebook messenger never received a response and they read my messages just never felt compelled to write back. I won't ever return.

Honestly, do yourself a favor and skip this place. I'm sure you can find much better sandwich shop in the area. It's not like the food was bad it just wasn't memorable. I honestly don't even remember what the service was like either, again, not bad just not memorable. I remember the place being fairly clean so that's a plus.

This place is very friendly. Its like an upgraded Subway with its sandwiches. I like how they have different versions of the same type of sandwich depending on your calorie consumption. I had the Mediterranean Big multi-grain sandwich with chicken. The hummus was really tasty. My boyfriend had the Big Wreck in multi-grain and it was tasty as well, specially the hot peppers. The bread truly was my favorite! I also had the chicken pot pie and you can tell its made with fresh vegetables. We had the oreo shake and it wasn't bad. I would recommend this place for sandwich lovers or soup lovers, at least come check it out. They have dessert, but I didn't try their cookies nor smoothies nor malts, so maybe next time.

I will never go here again. If you order with Uber eats which I have done on May 5th and today June 20th the sandwich comes with no meat and the manager was not helpful I will never go here again chicken salad just isn't worth it then I told her to refund the sandwich and it still has not been refunded save your money and go somewhere else.

Always been a fan of potbelly subs. However recently I ordered through their delivery app and somehow my address logged wrong. Sandwiches were delivered to wrong address. When I contacted potbelly's, the manager said no problem and remade my entire order, no questions asked and did not charge me at all. Thought this was extremely kind. This action will keep me coming back to Potbelly's. Thank you!!!

I have never had any issues with this place. I have been here multiple times. Ordered in person, through their app for pickup and I've ordered through Uber/grubhub. Not once was my order incorrect. Food is always hot, the restaurant is always clean. Workers have been kind and friendly each and every time I have gone. I love this place far more than the other sandwich shops around here. I don't usually do Yelp reviews but after seeing all the complaints I thought it was time for a positive one. I refuse to only leave reviews when I have poor experiences. Gotta leave the good ones too!

I liked the options they had but the sandwiches were small for the cost in comparison to other shops I've visited. Lemonade is bomb and chino selection is awesome. They were nice about me carrying my dog in due to the heat outside

Placed an order yesterday for delivery at work. Ordered an Italian sandwich. It was expensive with the small order fee, delivery fee, etc. Sandwich was $17.55. When delivery came, order was wrong. I called to let them know & the store's response was, "That's what you ordered." No it wasn't. No refund, no attempt to help. Just poor customer service. Bummed. I was starving. This was the Avondale, McDowell Rd location.

For me Potbelly's is just okay; nothing great but not terrible. Idk why but it's hard to find an amazing sandwich place that offers something crave'able, does just about everything right, has the perfect toppings or toasts the bread the best or just has that factor where you're like "let's go"! I've been to Potbelly's around the lunch and dinner rushes a handful of times and what's weird is they never seem busy. I have noticed though that this place is bit stingy on the meats. The sandwich I got (The Wreck) supposed to come w 4 diff meats and I added extra turkey; not very reflective from the pic. Also, this past visit while checking out I asked the cashier lady for a small side of hot peppers they keep by the register (not sure why) and as she pulled one cup out it was wrapped in few strands of long hair .. - They finally came around in 2018 and offer a kids meal now so that's gd.

I have ordered the tuna sandwich several times on DoorDash, and each time, it has been extremely mediocre. The first time I got it, it was dry & not at all tasty. The best part about it was the bread. I attempted to give them another shot and ordered it maybe 6 months later. Same bland taste & I couldn't even finish all of it, despite how hungry I was. I would honestly not recommend this place to anyone looking for a high quality, tuna sandwich.

The half sandwich and salad are a great deal! The Mediterranean salad was AMAZING. Great size salad! Calli helped me and she was so nice! Hardworking young lady!

So please don't get this review and assume I had a bad experience. I typically really enjoy sandwiches from Potbelly's. I will have to say that I didn't enjoy my Mediterranean salad. Something seemed off. Can't put my finger on the exact reason. A few thoughts included.... Why chickpeas? I do love chickpeas, not not on salads. Why no kalamata olives? I love kalamata olives on my salads. Who knows. I tend to get the Italian sub which was great with all the toppings.

The staff was friendly and efficient. Anytime, I go to a sub shop for the first time, I get their Meatball Sub, as I think it serves as a benchmark for their other subs, though this is not always the case (as happened here). So, I ordered one here with Provolone Cheese. I loved the toasted roll (less dough than most other places) but, it needs quite a bit of improvement. At first bite, the meatball was very bland. Only, after getting into the sauce with the spices sprinkled on did the taste improve. For being as crowded as it was (14 people when I walked in + 5 more with take-out) I have had better elsewhere. But, I'd try their Italian next time around. Well, I was late in getting the above review posted. So, I'm adding my 2nd visit here. As stated, I did order the Italian and a Oreo Cookie Milkshake. And, I must say, it was a very good sandwich from end to end. After reading a rave review on their OC Milkshake, I knew that I'd have to try one. Well, I did. And, it was decent. I really liked the mini oreo's and short bread cookies that they put on the lid (the short bread fits around the straw, and the oreo's sit on top). But, the shake was a bit thin (could easily suck it through a regular straw), and the bits of oreo's were pulverized into grains. Also, a reviewer said, "Great sandwich selection". Unless I missed something, 10 sandwich choices isn't a great selection, imo. Also on this visit, the shop was quite noisy. Even though there were less people (10 dine in + 3 takeout) than on my first visit. While I did enjoy the Italian, over all, I think most of the other sub shops are better. So, I don't think I'll be going back.

Wasn't that bad of a place. Ordered the roast beef on white, with hot peppers, provolone, and light mayo. Sandwich was pretty good, their bread is much better then other competitors. There is not that much meat in the sandwich, however they do not over do it the bread like the other place's do. I also had the oatmeal and chocolate chip cookie. My favorite combination!

I am from Tucson and pot bellies was always loaded to the max with vegetables in your sandwich. Look at the photos posted! I got the last scraps of hummus and a sprinkle of veggies. I paid $9 for a roll of bread with some spinach. I'm so disappointed in this. This is rediculous, I won't be back.

Nice choice for a quick meal Potbelly's is a small sandwich shop with a relaxing, neighborhood vibe. Potbelly offers all the favorites, turkey, ham, meatball, italian mixed, chicken and cheddar, tuna, chicken salad, and my favorite "the wreck". All of the breads at Potbelly are made fresh daily and you can tell with your first bite. The bread and deli meats were absolutely delicious, Potbelly also serves chili, soups, shakes and smoothies. Potbelly aslo serves "skinny" sandwiches with less meat for those watching their calorie intake. The staff is friendly and accommodating and will offer suggestions if you like. Potbelly's is a nice choice for a quick meal.

Absolutely a horrible place to buy a sandwich. I used to order a lot of large meals for my company lunches, but no longer. Ordered a sandwich today and after waiting for 15 minutes just to order, I get up to the area where you choose toppings and was told that they gave the sandwich to someone else. They clearly only care about to go orders [Grub Hub, Uber Eats, etc], as I waited for about 20 to be made in front of the customers waiting. Then the employee was rude as to why I walked out, with no offer to rectify. Avoid going there. If you must have it, order from a pickup service. I personally will never order from them again.

I ordered potbelly for delivery via their app. I have used it several times however for some reason this time the delivery address was wrong. We contacted potbelly and they unfortunately could not do anything about the original order but offered to remake our entire order. Thank you so much potbellies. Not only were the sandwiches delicious but I appreciate your going above and beyond even though it was my error.

So I normally don't like to do bad reviews but here I go. The first girl started off nice setting up our sandwiches. But then the next girl just lost some of the friendliness and also messed up my daughters order. Lettuce only ! How hard is that? Not to their fault my daughter didn't like the sandwich we got for her so we wanted back to order a new sandwich for her. Then second time around, we got a eye roll about ordering another sandwich. Well saying I won't came back doesn't mean much since I don't live close to here.

Beyond upset. I ordered online. Simple order. I called due to Covid for curbside pickup. The phone rang 20 plus times to the point I was wondering if the place was even open. A young girl, answers the phone and brings my food out. I knew I should have checked my bag. Of course, my daughter's Mac & cheese was missing. The nerve of the workers to have a check list and miss the Mac & cheese. Look at my receipt. Ugggh! I tried to call back and again no answer. I hope someone from management reads this! Ridiculous!

Just pulling out because it seems closed. Open on everywhere I check but doors are locked. Sucks.

Very odd layout when ordering in. Sandwiches were pretty average. Ordering online however was a pleasant experience.

My hubs and I ordered postmates potbelly. He was happy with his me not so much. I got ham which honestly tasted sour. I asked for avocado there was no avocado in it. I asked for Heavy hot peppers there was none in my sandwich. I asked for a side of potato salad I got the Macaroni one. I am a menu master but I personally don't know if I will order again so disappointed.

I love Potbelly but to all of my Veteran Brothers and Sisters here in the valley, be advised that of the hundreds of restaurants in the valley that appreciate our service and provide military discounts, this is not one of them which is disappointing to say the least. Nearly every restaurant appreciates us and gives a 10% discount. This franchise along with Wing Stop are two that I know of that does not. The food is good so if you want a sandwich this is a decent place to go. There are dozens of other restaurants very close to this place that does give military discounts. Shame on you Potbelly.

I recently had a Potbelly sandwich on a diverted flight layover in Baltimore and it was delicious! So I've been dying to to try the one here. (Was it THAT good or was I just hungry in Baltimore). I did an online order of the same Ham and Swiss sandwich I tried there. I walked into the store and she said "are you the online order"? How did she know?!? It was warm and ready and tasted just like the one in Baltimore!! Yay!! Easy online system. Fast and friendly service. Sandwich in my opinion is better than Jimmy Johns, Jersey Mike's and way better than Subway. Can they please build one in north Peoria?? I will definitely be back!

Very popular fast casual option which is a great spot on your lunch break. Slightly different sandwich options than you might see at other chain sub shops. Their soups and cookies are also delicious. Restaurant is always clean and staff is very friendly. Highly recommend this place if you're looking for something different than a boring old drive thru sack lunch.

This place never disappoints! The soups are delicious, the sandwiches are hearty, the flavors amazing! And don't forget to order a milkshake or malt, they are hand dipped ice cream, no soft serve here and a real treat. Delicious!!

The food is, meh. The staff is extremely rude, and the prices are ludicrous for what you get. Even when giving a 40 minute lead time for online orders they still took an additional 20 minutes to prep my order. The employees are more interested in getting customers to conform to the business needs than conforming to the needs of the customer. Don't take my word for it read the comments from many other customers, and Dona D doing her best at damage control, while a bunch of teenage loudmouths drive this joint into the ground. I would never recommend this joint, nor will I ever return. If post COVID economy doesn't take this place out of business, the snot nose staff will. Stay far far away.

I had an issue with my order so I completed my survey to be that bratty customer who complains and the manager contacted me within two hours of my visit to rectify my complaint. Thank you Potbelly's for always being available and offering delicious food! Your customer service is what keeps me coming back. XO!
