Both Google and their website said they were open on memorial Day. So I stopped off the highway because my pregnant wife was really craving one of their sandwiches and had been talking about it for the past 6 hours of driving, I then paid for street parking only to find that they decided to close today. Next time update your hours online.

Google
I'd never been to Potbelly, nor heard of it. I was pleasantly surprised with my experience. I'm not a fan of toasted sandwiches but the bread and how they're toasted changed my opinion. The location is convenient. The menu options are easy to identify and follow. The sandwiches was absolutely amazing and I felt like it was a good QUALITY sandwich, not like a subway type version. The staff was extremely friendly, helpful, and attentive. It had that "My Pleasure" vibe from everyone, which is the experience that you come back for every time Will absolutely be back to Potbelly!

Google
We visited here for a late lunch on the weekend. As first time guests we were excited to try a new sub place. Ordering was a little hectic as the kids at the first part wouldn’t listen correctly so I had to wait even longer for my sandwhich to get made correctly while in a small group of three. The place was pretty busy after we ordered. The line for the restroom was always long while in the shop. Parking was a nightmare.

Google
Absolutely disgusting. I used to eat Potbelly all the time back in Texas and it was great. I don’t know how they manage to screw up something as simple as a sandwich, but this location produces nothing but inedible trash. Stay away if you don’t want food poisoning

Google
Locks the doors and closes early. Granted I came at 5:53 (they should have closed at 6) but I just came for a milkshake which would've taken a singular minute. Disappointed with this location and will not be returning.

PAL

Google
Stopped while traveling hoping to pick up a sandwich and because they did not update their hours online to reflect being closed Memorial Day, I wasted a parking fee and twenty minutes. Disappointing.

So I decided to try this establishment for the first time unfortunately due to rain I got it delivered. One my sandwich was wrong and they gave me an empty drink cup. 🥲 had so much potential

Google
I’ve ordered here twice in the last week. The first time there was bickering between the staff. Now my senses are raised. The second time, I noticed only 1 person wearing an apron and the guy at the register reusing his gloves. The second cook, oh I’m sorry, the now the third cook is changing gloves and not washing hands. Your staff is nice but I’d prefer above all is clean food. Management attention is needed here!!

Yelp
Five stars for friendly, fast service and well-made sandwiches! I stopped by Potbelly on a busy Friday during lunch, and was worried I would have to wait in a long line. (If you've been to The Gulch on a Friday, you can imagine how jam-packed the sidewalks outside were!) Instead, I was able to place my order right away, and had my tasty, toasted sandwiches in less than five minutes. A big part of what made this experience stand out was definitely the team working behind the counter. Every single person I interacted with greeted me with a friendly smile, and worked quickly and efficiently. I know many restaurants (especially chains) have been struggling with staffing since the pandemic, and it was reassuring (and honestly refreshing) to see a fully staffed and well-functioning store. I took my order to-go, and both my sandwich and my husband's were experly made with care. I'd definitely recommend this Potbelly location to anyone in need of a quick and satisfying meal - travellers and locals alike!

Yelp
After hearing about Potbelly sandwiches from friends for years, I happened upon the one in the Gulch and decided "why not!?". This Potbelly is located in the Noble Park area of The Gulch, and sits in the building with the wing mural and directly across from the water fountain feature. Shop was clean and well taken care. Staff were friendly, helpful and efficient. I was in and out with a hot sandwich, chips and cookie within about 5 minutes! For my first trip to Potbelly, I went with the original A Wreck sandwich on white with added mayo, mustard, lettuce and hot peppers...and it was delicious! There is a paid lot directly across the street that features the first hour free, which is super helpful and appreciated! Overall, great spot, good location and tasty sandwiches!

Yelp
Looking for a quick bite...potbelly is your spot. I popped in for lunch and was not disappointed. The atmosphere was relaxed, clean and friendly! The menu was short but had a variety of options. I got the turkey avocado sandwich combo with chips and a drink. It was about $15.

Laura M.

Yelp
Ok.. so first off the staff spent most of the time talking to each other while I waited for my sandwich. Which was made incorrectly 3x. Secondly, no one knew how to restart the POS (point of sale) system so the guy in front of me could pay. Took me 20 minutes to get a 1/2 sandwich and a cup of soup. And... it was only me and the other guy trying to pay. Wonder what happens during the lunch rush??!!?? At least the soup was hot. Not much you can do to mess up a simple Turkey, avocado sandwich... so only 2 stars for this location.

Yelp
Fantastic sandwiches! The Mediterranean chicken sandwich is the bomb!!! Fantastic toasted bread too!
google avatar

Yelp
I didn't try any food, but the Oreo milkshake was absolutely amazing. The shop has a great vibe, and the staff were incredibly friendly. I definitely recommend this place just for the milkshake!

Yelp
I had a sandwich delivered to my hotel room a few days ago and we decided to eat in the actual location today. We arrived to a welcoming atmosphere. We went down to order our sandwiches and they started the order, then put it in to toast. On the other side were two ladies who were doing the toppings. I asked for mayo, mustard, lettuce, tomato, oil and seasonings. The younger person started putting on the toppings. I see her put a light brown substance on my sandwich. I pointed to it and asked her what it was, she said...spicy mustard. I said, oh no I just want regular mustard. The other female said, well that's all we have. I said...your menu says mustard, not spicy mustard. The female said in a snotty tone...well, we don't have any other mustard. The next thing I know she's staring me down. I looked behind me...no one. She continued to stare at me. I walked to the other side of some equipment and she walked over to stare again. I couldn't believe it, so I walk back over and I'm like...really?!? What in the world? Next thing I know she's loudly saying...what is that ladies problem? I told her we only have spicy mustard. What's her problem? Well, my problem is this...your menu says mustard. Spicy mustard is quite different than regular mustard. You could have said...why don't you try it? If you don't like it we will remake your sandwich. That would have been the end of it. But, she was staring me down on top of being rude. Incredible. I am still shocked.

Yelp
Potbelly is located right in Gulch, while the other dining options here might seem a little expensive, Potbelly is at the rescue. Its economical, clean and quick. I have tried the grilled chicken sandwich and the Mediterranean sandwich and i thinks its quite good. the size of the sub is fairly long and it is quite filling. I love the bread particularly that soaks in the sauce yet doesn't get too soggy. The vegetables are fresh, its a good option for a cheat meal occasionally. Paid parking spots are available in gulch around potbelly. And the shop has decent area for sitting both indoor and otdoor.
google avatar

Holly T.

Yelp
Ordered online, walked to the gulch to pick up and they were very very busy! But the staff was all working hard to make sure everyone got their orders. We took our subs home to eat and they were delicious! My turkey avocado was fresh and filled high- very pleased. I'll eat here again- looked clean inside even though it was packed !
google avatar

Yelp
Great sandwiches and service. You can eat indoors or outdoors if it is nice outside and people watch while enjoying a fabulous sandwich. Their pumpkin pie cookie was delicious as well

Yelp
I just had an extremely frustrating experience. I tried to place an online order at 4:55pm for the BOGO deal that I received in the email. But it didn't allow me claiming the store was "closed" so I called and a lady Indiarie (i think) answered and said they closed at 7pm. I explained my dilemma of trying to order using the code "PERK: for the BOGO deal but bcos the site said closed i wasn't able to and if i could order it in person. She said nonchalantly, "No, I can't do that" and I'd have to do it online only. After explaining again since i obviously couldn't place an online order, i said i wanted to speak to a Mgr since she clearly didn't care. She said the owner Chris wasn't in but would be tomorrow. I have posted my screenshots to show the time stamp (top left of my phone) and the corresponding information online that says it's closed.

Yelp
So their IG pics don't match the actual sandwiches, but they're still tasty! Popped in here for the lunch about 10-minutes after they opened and it was already packed. The line does move fast and it seems like almost everyone gets their food to go. I wanted to order their new Cubano sandwich, but I still needed to function after lunch, so I went the with Mediterranean. A lighter sandwich with grilled chicken, feta, hummus, roasted red peppers and artichoke hearts. I ditched the artichoke hearts and added jalapeños. This sandwich wasn't much to look at, but was hit the spot and didn't leave me needing a nap. The parking here is awful. Metered street parking, a paid garage, or do I what I did and park in the Uber stall, right outside of Potbelly. Just throw those hazard lights on and stay vigilant!

Yelp
I first experienced Potbelly in Washington, D.C. many years back. I remember liking it then because it was different than your other standard fare like Subway, Jimmy John's, and Jersey Mike's. I remember liking it because all the sandwiches are served hot. Since I work in downtown Nashville, my coworker and I were driving around aimlessly for a place to eat. We settled on Potbelly because we were in the Gulch neighborhood anyway. I opted for the Pizza Melt. I mean how can you go wrong with a piping hot sub with pepperoni, capicola, meatballs, marinar, provolone, Italian seasoning, and mushrooms? Unfortunately I was a bit underwhelmed with the sandwich. The bread was not soggy and all the ingredients complimented each other nicely. It was like eating a pizza in sandwich form. My only disappointment was that there was barely any marinara on the sandwich. It's the marinara that makes this sandwich a "pizza melt". Otherwise I was simply eating a meat & cheese sandwich without any sauce and it was very dry. Regardless, I still like Potbelly. I just know next time I'll tell them to be more generous with the marinara.

Yelp
Ordered a sandwich and soup combo with a whole pickle on the side through Uber Eats! Is the most delicious sandwich I've had in awhile. The horseradish aioli is to die for. Will definitely be coming in to experience the whole vibe soon!

Debbie W.

Yelp
I haven't been in the vicinity of a Pot Belly restaurant in several years & it was as delicious as I remember it being! Such a great flavorful sandwich!!!

Yelp
Potbelly sandwiches are something else there yummylicious also you have to try their shake sooo delicious
google avatar

Tim G.

Yelp
This place is a well-oiled machine! And the sandwiches are really good. We stopped in for a fast lunch and were quickly greeted cheerfully by several staff. When taking our order the person inquired about the specifics of how we wanted our sandwiches prepared. Everything was smooth and efficient. Our sandwiches were ready quickly, and they were very good. And everything was prepared exactly how we had ordered. The fast service was especially impressive because we had shown up during the lunch rush. If I were only rating the sandwiches it might be a 4-star rating. But the service was so good, I had to bump them up to five stars. Will definitely return, especially when I need a quick lunch prepared in a hurry.

Yelp
As sandwich shops go, Potbelly is one of the best out there. After a long absence, we were left satisfied and feeling happy. Meats, veggies, and breads are always fresh and filling. Our go to are the chicken salad, and the grilled chicken. The turkey club is also checking out. The loaded baked potato soups is a must have indulgence and worth the calories. Although we didn't have the milk shake this time, they are a great summer treat. Did I tell you guys this is my favorite Sandwich Shop? :)
google avatar

Kyle H.

Yelp
Great service and staff. Food was as good and quick. The kid adding toppings was less attentive or short-term memory issues. Loaded my sandwich up with extra vs "light" hot peppers. I cussed that kid all the way back to Collierville!

Tyler W.

Yelp
Cmon y'all! Really!? This is what your Italian sandwich is supposed to look like !? Ordered this for pick up and what u see is what I got. Terrible.
google avatar

Byron M.

Yelp
The negative reviews may be out of date. I have no idea if the management has changed recently but my experience today was phenomenal. Ordered A Wreck and some chips. One of the best fast food deli-style sandwiches I've had in Nashville. Hot crispy bread with a chewy inside, all melted perfectly. Next time I will get double meat but the standard version is quite acceptable. Other reviewers mention service and parking. Everyone was incredibly friendly and helpful. The gentleman at the register even noticed my name tag which I forgot to take off and asked about what I did. Also thanked me as I was leaving. There is a parking garage that literally shares two walls of the restaurant. Pull in, scan a thing with your phone and get an hour of free parking. Many of the immediate spots were open, making it about 100' covered walk to the restaurant without crossing a street. Didn't know Nashville had a Potbelly until today, had only been to the one in Chicago. Definitely adding this to the lunch rotation! One thing though, if you want to sit at the bar by the window and people watch, it's like a wind tunnel. Be prepared to chase your napkins all over the place!

Ruby G.

Yelp
clean, fast & delicious! one of my fav sandwich shops in town highly recommended anyone who needs a quick and fresh bite!

E A.

Yelp
Delicious, the mac and cheese can be hit or miss when getting delivery but it was sooo good. the sandwich was delicious. i also got an oreo shake that was sooo good.

McKenna R.

Yelp
Mid-Conference lunch break called for Potbelly's shake and sandwich. Cute atmosphere and great service from the employees. Line looked long but was super quick to receive my order.
google avatar

Bridget M.

Yelp
Split a cubano sandwich with my sister and it was pretty good. I liked that you could customize with various toppings, all of them free! The seating out front could be updated (one of the chairs had a giant hole in the seat) but otherwise it is a good sandwich shop.

Yelp
When we were in Nashville in late November, R found out that there was a Potbelly Sandwich Shop nearby. YAY!!!! We haven't been to a Potbelly since we left Cleveland, OH, in 2015, and there isn't a Potbelly anywhere in Georgia. Parking for Potbelly was in a parking garage nearby. We used a mobile app that captured the time we entered and the time we exited. Fortunately, we didn't have to pay because we didn't stay long enough to pay. We walked into Potbelly right before 5 pm on a Sunday, and no other customers were in the store. There were two employees, and one of them loudly called out a warm welcome to us from the order counter, which was the farthest point from the entrance. The menu didn't look much different from when we last visited a Potbelly, and both of us ordered our favorite sandwiches: I ordered a toasted original Italian sandwich (white bread, salami, old-world capicola, pepperoni, mortadella, provolone, mayo, mustard, lettuce, onion, tomato, pickles and oil); R ordered a toasted original A Wreck sandwich (white bread, turkey breast, hickory smoked ham, Angus roast beef, salami, Swiss, mustard, pickles, hot peppers, lettuce and onion). We both got the meal deal which added a bag of chips and regular fountain drink for an upcharge. We were able to watch the employees preparing our sandwiches. Everything looked fresh. This store was well lit, well decorated, clean, roomy, and had lots of tables and chairs. Both of the employees were very friendly and courteous. Potbelly has many other types of sandwiches, and other things, like soups, salads, chili and shakes on the menu. We took the meals back to the hotel and enjoyed them at our temporary home away from home. The sandwiches were just as great as we remember them. Dee-lish!

Yelp
Loved loved loved it!!! Quick service. Fresh food, good prices. I'm also a huge sandwich person. I know a good sandwich! Exceeded expectations for a chain.
google avatar

Nick R.

Yelp
I came during lunch and really enjoyed my sandwich. The parking lot across the street offers free 1 hour parking, which makes it much more convenient. The place wasn't busy when I came and the food was delicious.

Ryan N.

Yelp
Have been to this location once before and had a good experience, have also been to locations in MA and never had an issue. Today however I ordered a sandwich for my son on white bread. It comes out and I said "oh is this wheat, I had and asked for white bread" the gentlemen(using this term generously) said that I said wheat bread, and then asked me and "is he really that picky?" Guy tried to offer me a free cookie, but he has definitely lost any business from me and others should really think twice about visiting a place who hires a manager who is as rude as this.
google avatar

Zack S.

Yelp
Nashville Resident and big Pot Belly Sandwich fan. However, this location could not be more mismanaged. Why can't I get service? I've been there three times in the last two weeks and have not been able to be served at all. What is the matter with the management here? This is ridiculous. I will NOT come back. Is there anyway to give no stars?
google avatar

Daniel F.

Yelp
"The fillet mignon of sandwiches" Looked for a nearby place for lunch after walking around the gulch and decided to take a chance here. You can a actually taste the freshness from each ingredient, this is far from a subway or a jimmy johns. The soup was scrumptious and to top it off, they are conveniently located next to the famous "what lifts you" photo spot. If you happen to be in the gultch and need a place for a quick bite, check them out!
google avatar

Lucy O.

Yelp
Nice sandwich!!! Ordered 4 different sandwiches and those are made to order and can be customized! Amount of meat in each sandwiches are very generous and you won't feel eating bare bread. Price were very reasonable for that area of restaurant. Only the disappointment was there were minor mixed up to the topping in some of our order. But overall all the sandwiches were very nice and will back again!!
google avatar

Catherine M.

Yelp
For a Potbelly's, pretty damn good. Even with a large line on a busy work day lunch hour, this staff manages to be efficient and kind. They hooked it up on the sandwich and all the toppings were great. I got chili and I will say, they should cut up their onions because giving whole raw onion rings in chili is a bit weird. I ordered take out from here the next day and it was just as good delivered.
google avatar

Annie M.

Yelp
We also went here because milk & honey & biscuit lover were obscenely busy. I guess you need reservations everywhere in Nashville. This is an over the counter sandwich, salad, soup, etc. It's decent sized inside and the food is good and cheap. I ordered the Mediterranean salad and it has a ton of stuff. I wish they had just an olive oil/vinegar dressing but their house is ok. The staff was friendly, you watch as they make your food & pick your sandwich toppings. They have a few sodas on tap & various bottled beverages. Parking can be found in decks.

Rebeca L.

Yelp
Courtney and Indeara, these two girls ARE THE BOMB!!!! Give them a raise because they are the ones that make this place amazing! They make you feel right at home and like you've known them forever. The sandwich is ALWAYS perfect when they do it. If you're having a bad day, you come here just to see them!! I love this place because of them and wanted to shoutout to these girls because they work very hard to keep everything clean and organized. I am coming 50 minutes away to eat here. YOU'RE THE BEST, GIRLS!
google avatar

Aaron B.

Yelp
Go to for a lunch sandwich. Love the Italian original add bacon. It's a happy place for me.

Angel P.

Yelp
I'm disappointed in this store. They are almost always running low on bread or various sandwiches. The store always closes or closes early due to shortage of supplies. I am not sure who is in charge, but they may need to hire a new manager. I have loved potbelly for years. It's one of my favorite sandwich shops, so I hope that this location can get it together.
google avatar

Michael R.

Yelp
Used to love going here, but no longer can bc you can't trust the hours. On yelp it says open tell 8, and that hasn't been the case for years. On their website and door it says 7 (on Friday the day I am leaving this review). But I get there with 15 min to go (yes I understand last min but they already close super early) and they are already closed up and no one in site. Also this is CMA weekend so people everywhere. Wish I could eat here but after many attempts have sadly given up.
google avatar

Yelp
We decided to stop by this sandwich shop for dinner one night. It wasn't busy on a weeknight, staff were friendly and patient, and quick service. We ordered the Pizza Sandwich and the Turkey breast. The sandwiches were toasted to perfection. Pizza Sandwich was cheesy and gooey. They gave plenty of Turkey breast and pepperoni on the sandwiches. They were both toasted and the bread were crispy. Overall the sandwiches were good and I would come back to try a different sandwich. Maybe it's the Potbelly stove or the ceiling....there's something about this sandwich shop that makes it very welcoming. Having a out door patio was a nice touch during the summer too.

Yelp
I am literally OBSESSED with their hot peppers, in turn I'm OBSESSED with Potbelly. I literally check every time we travel to try to make Potbelly theee stop when grub is needed. I was a little bummed, b/c this was my first Tennessee Potbelly experience and I feel like the main manager wasn't very friendly and her main focus was micro-managing the staff in front of the customers. It was really hard to watch, and I was really looking forward to this experience. INFO - Location, what a fun spot. It's close to the nashville wings mural. - Parking, the first hour is free at all the close parking lots, perfect! - My sandwich was SOOOO good (recommendation: Italian on white, with lettuce, tomato, pickle, onion, HOT PEPPERS, and the seasoning) - Chips - we usually get the jalapeno chips, and I got the specialty "Potbelly hot peppers" flavor chips (I prefer the jalapeno ones!) - Milkshakes - they come with a cute yummy little cookie on top of the lid with the straw through it. They are so good!! - Drinks - always sweet tea when it's an option... yum! - Soup - One of the people in my party got the loaded baked potato soup and another person got the broccoli cheddar. Both of them seemed to like it. - They close at 8pm, and there isn't really a non-busy spot to then go and talk if you want after eating here, definitely has no baring on this 3 star yelp rating PROS - Store was clean and bright - They sell their hot peppers! - Sandwich was yummy - The sandwich isn't super big, but it is filling, especially when you have chips with it, I was super hungry when I came. - Quality food/ingredients - They did come to my table and ask if I wanted more sweet tea before they dumped it for the night/closed CONS - As I mentioned above, the manager situation was pretty lame and really took away from the good experience I was hoping for

Yelp
Roast beef sandwich. One of the best I've had. Food tasted very good but some staff were unfriendly. My friends noticed it too. We were there during the lunch hour when there was a long line. I do understand that it could get crazy during those busy hours but customers don't like to be in long line either. Friendliness of the workers can make a customer's experience into a positive one.
google avatar

Veronica M.

Yelp
I have been in this location a few times and they always have had nice and fast service. Ingredients are fresh and bread has been freshly baked. They have salads too. The place is average in size and they also have outside sitting. Parking is tricky in the Gulch so it's not the most convenient, but if you don't mind paying parking then be my guest, pay for mine too while you are at it lol . Definitely better than the unmentionable SW!

Rosemarie O.

Yelp
Amazing! We had a big order last minute during rush hour and they were able to get it done in a timely manner. Everything was correct, food was great, and the staff was awesome. They even helped bring the food out to the car. 10/10
google avatar

Chad W.

Yelp
I walked 3 blocks the opposite way I needed to go just to eat here. When I got there they closed at 6 when Yelp said 8. Not very happy.
google avatar

Braden B.

Yelp
I spent $27 on Uber eats. I got a 6 inch sandwich what was cold. I don't blame them for that. That's an Uber issue. But damn the thing tasted so cheap. I never do reviews like this but I feel so ripped off that I need to. Feel like I was robbed. What a shame
google avatar

Saige S.

Yelp
Best sandwich I ever had!! Customer service was amazing and there shakes are to die for!
google avatar

Luc R.

Yelp
I want management to reply to this. I was told that this location was out of tomatoes. 7 pm June 9, 2019. How is a nation wide chain sandwich shop ever out of tomatoes? That's like McDonald's saying they're out of ketchup. I want something to get me back as a customer as potbelly has lost me as a customer for life.
google avatar

Wayne S.

Yelp
It was OK. A little pricey. But everything is in the Gulch. Meat was cold for a heated sandwich. And way too much blue cheese toppings. It almost made it uneatable. But I scraped it off and got her done.

Tristen S.

Yelp
The owner openly denied me service if I didn't show him "paperwork" for my service animal. He openly broke the law set forth and clearly outlined by the ADA. If you have a service animal do not give this establishment your business. Sir. For future reference and for your "wife" who you said was a lawyer: https://www.ada.gov/regs2010/service_animal_qa.html Q7. What questions can a covered entity's employees ask to determine if a dog is a service animal? A. In situations where it is not obvious that the dog is a service animal, staff may ask only two specific questions: (1) is the dog a service animal required because of a disability? and (2) what work or task has the dog been trained to perform? Staff are not allowed to request any documentation for the dog, require that the dog demonstrate its task, or inquire about the nature of the person's disability.
