When we were in Nashville in late November, R found out that there was a Potbelly Sandwich Shop nearby. YAY!!!! We haven't been to a Potbelly since we left Cleveland, OH, in 2015, and there isn't a Potbelly anywhere in Georgia.
Parking for Potbelly was in a parking garage nearby. We used a mobile app that captured the time we entered and the time we exited. Fortunately, we didn't have to pay because we didn't stay long enough to pay.
We walked into Potbelly right before 5 pm on a Sunday, and no other customers were in the store. There were two employees, and one of them loudly called out a warm welcome to us from the order counter, which was the farthest point from the entrance. The menu didn't look much different from when we last visited a Potbelly, and both of us ordered our favorite sandwiches: I ordered a toasted original Italian sandwich (white bread, salami, old-world capicola, pepperoni, mortadella, provolone, mayo, mustard, lettuce, onion, tomato, pickles and oil); R ordered a toasted original A Wreck sandwich (white bread, turkey breast, hickory smoked ham, Angus roast beef, salami, Swiss, mustard, pickles, hot peppers, lettuce and onion). We both got the meal deal which added a bag of chips and regular fountain drink for an upcharge. We were able to watch the employees preparing our sandwiches. Everything looked fresh.
This store was well lit, well decorated, clean, roomy, and had lots of tables and chairs. Both of the employees were very friendly and courteous. Potbelly has many other types of sandwiches, and other things, like soups, salads, chili and shakes on the menu.
We took the meals back to the hotel and enjoyed them at our temporary home away from home. The sandwiches were just as great as we remember them. Dee-lish!
