Dolores working in the store as a designer, it’s part of the service that clients receiving. Dolores is amazing. She accepted me without appointment. she helped me above and beyond via phone calls via emails and she’s so kind and professional. highly recommend about Dolores , also the rest of the team in the store is very nice

I love this store! We were so lost on what stroller/car seat system to get and met with Daniella who is absolutely amazing! She spent a lot of time showing us different options, folding/attaching/test driving many components etc. She made the whole experience easy and enjoyable. Thanks Daniella! I am a frequent PB Customer(typically NJ location) but was in the area and looking to purchase a kitchen set for my daughter. We were in the store for over 25+ mins and were not acknowledged nor greeted. An employee( elderly woman with pixie cut- mentioned in previous reviews) walked past my daughter and I, completely disregarding us, and proceeded to ask other customers if they needed help, despite the fact that I needed assistance. I waited in plain site of the registers to try and get her attention, and she decided she would rather answer phones for 10 mins while another store employee was helping another customer on the register. After waiting for 10 MORE mins, unacknowledged(and still not greeted) another white customer arrived in the store and was immediately greeted by both employees, and asked if they needed help. I then had to intercept and inform them that I had been standing there waiting, despite their lack of regard, and more than likely due to my skin color, and race. As a Hispanic woman, and a long time customer at PB Kids, I have never been experienced such blatant racism in any location outside of this one. After announcing that I had been waiting the male employee was apologetic, and proceeded to provide me with customer service, but then stated " Some people just come into the store to play, we don't know", which is incredibly invalidating and a bit of a micro aggression, because I was not there to play, and rather make a purchase. *** ORDER ONLINE OR GO TO ANOTHER LOCATION IF YOU ARE A PERSON OF COLOR BC YOU ARE NOT WELCOME HERE***

I went to the store with my parents and purchased a crib. I also needed a dresser topper and the store associate showed us the topper and told me I needed to call back with the dimensions to order it So, I called the store back and ordered it to be shipped to my house. The topper was $170 with a 20% discount and on top of that they charged me a $70 shipping fee. I thought it was worth it but I should've read all the reviews on this store before ordering anything I received the box and it was VERY light. The fillmore topper consists of 6 pieces of wood, with NO bottom and no cushion. I was mislead by the woman when I saw it in person to think that it had a bottom, a cushion and it would work with my current dresser. I am VERY disappointed. Plus they charged $70 shipping for something that weighed less than 10lbs? Ridiculous. I called PBK in short hills mall NJ and they were VERY nice and helpful. I returned the topper there. The woman working there told me she doesn't know why anyone recommended I buy the topper. She said I would have to nail in the topper to my current dresser and it would likely break my dresser and cause the wood to split. Also, she said I was overcharged for the topper and shipping. Short hills has a much nicer location anyways! I was in the process of making a baby registry with PBK but I refuse to give them anymore of my business. I can't wait to receive the crib and get this over with. FYI- crib deliveries take forever but I'm not due until March so I'm not in a rush

The white woman with light colored long hair working in the shop needs to get over herself and be kind to customers - this is a shop for children so children need to have a tiny explore and see what works for them - we are nice, kind people who respect others and store products. Felt she was targeting me as I’m not white. We decided to not buy the item we were looking at and left.

I agree with the two posters below. Obnoxious and callous customer service. I waited forever while an agent prioritized small talk and chatting with a customer for what seemed like forever. I had only one small item and I asked another elderly lady (doing paperwork) if she could ring it up. She shook her head and just motioned toward the two occupied tills. I had a bag of takeout food I had just collected from a nearby Vietnamese place. When it was finally my turn, instead of a “sorry for the wait”, the agent launched straight into “Is that your food I’m smelling?” Her tone was offensive and her manner was intrusive and rude. I humored her just to get my transaction done, but sheesh - this is not a high-end experience at all. Training needs an overhaul. I think I’ll stick to Bloomingdales or Bergdorf from now on. I also wanted to add that when I inquired about wrapping an item (a 12 oz water bottle), the agent told me that it was $8.95!! Most stores would offer it for free or charge a little supplement. I found that was highly odd for a $26 water bottle.

The customer service in the store is super disorganized. The woman helping me was trying to help anyone that walked into the store or near the register simultaneously which meant that to purchase 4 things took an hour. The rug ordered for me was the wrong color, did not match the sample in store. I think the color was discontinued. The curtains I bought, pictured below, were labeled 96” but clearly are two different sizes. I spent hours on the phone with customer service and with the store and they were totally unhelpful.

Ordered a bed for my daughter in July. The expected delivery was the end of October. They charged me on October 6 and I received a notice on October 10 to schedule the delivery. I scheduled the delivery on October 17. On that morning, two hours before they were supposed to come, I received a call that they didn’t have all the pieces for the bed and I had to reschedule the delivery. They transferred me to customer service. The rep told me they have the parts and told me to call or email the delivery department back. I told her they just transferred me to you. After 45 minutes with her, I spoke with a supervisor who promised to call me back and never did. Next day, I called back and spoke to another supervisor who told me they had to reorder the bed and it would come between November 11 and December 1. My daughter didn’t have a bed anymore, I took off from work to have the delivery made and to call the morning of to tell me they didn’t have a headboard was ridiculous. I ordered from Crate and Barrel on Wednesday, got a bed delivered on Saturday and had a MUCH better experience. READ THE OTHER REVIEWS AND BEWARE. Terrible customer experience all around from Pottery Barn Kids!

Just be clear - they charged a return fee for each item. One was $50 Second was $30 Third was $60 Don't even understand how they do the math here for the return fee, but it's ridiculous.

Worst customer service ever! I was receiving a crib as a gift for our baby due in spring. The delivery driver parked in front of our house at 720am and idle for 10 minutes. My husband was standing at the door waiting for the driver to come. The driver didn't get out of the truck and then left at 730 and my husband received a text saying he needs to reschedule the delivery. Confused and upset I start calling customer service and of course they aren't open. Auto response saying to call during business hours but it doesn't specify when business hours are. Finally after 2 hours of calling we get ahold of someone. They tell us the driver called and no answer and waited for 45 minutes then left. I said that's a lie I have him on camera proving otherwise. He puts me through to his supervisor who continues to gaslight us saying the driver called left messages and no response. (He was calling the wrong number. ) To which I responded with he never got out of the truck to ring the bell. 2 cars in the driveway obviously someone is home and my husband was standing in plain sight at the door. So furious with this company I am never ordering anything from them again. Absolute lazy garbage human beings.

Potter Barn Kids is a nightmare to deal with. The customer service will do absolutely nothing when something goes wrong with your order. We spent over $800 on a crib for our baby, who is coming in a few weeks. We ordered our crib and mattress back in May. Pottery Barn kids delayed our order twice, and the. Misdelivered our crib to a nearby neighbor's home, where it was left outside in pouring rain for days. We alerted Pottery Barn Kids immediately and the customer service agent seemed sincere, but then went on to place a new order for us and then arrange for pickup. The pickup window was a full day. We stayed at home and no one came to get the damaged items. I notified PBK. Customer service refused a redelivery until the damaged item was picked up. So, they rescheduled a pickup for the water damaged items. They NEVER came a second time. Now, no one will help us, and we have lost $800. I don't know who to complain to because phone representatives do not help us, the customer service email agents won't help us, and the social media team on Facebook messenger refer us right back to the other folks who won't help us. I am appalled and disgusted by the customer service and hope that no one purchases from this company ever again. I'll talk to my credit card company tomorrow and try to find a way to get my money back or to take legal action. Shame on you, Pottery Barn.

This was a great company. I can see from other reviews here that I'm not alone in experiencing terrible customer service and poor products since the pandemic. If the quality had suffered over the past couple of years but customer service remained what it had been, I would not bother reviewing. I bought two bean bag chairs in late Nov. 2021. The inserts collapsed within a year. I contacted PB early Dec. 2022, days over the 1 year mark. Something like 4 or 5 times, I was told that replacement inserts were on the way, and when they did not arrive, the message was either that they'd been sent out to my old address, they were backordered, they were in transit (even though they were supposed to arrive in 3-5 days), and finally that the shipment was cancelled by PB -- after being approved -- b/c it was past one year. I've contacted PB numerous times. At this point, what bothers me more than a clearly defective product is the lack of communication and complete disregard for customers. I've been a customer for many years -- no more. Good luck PB -- what a stupid time to start treating your customers terribly.

I ordered a lunch box, water bottle, hot food bottle and matching silverware set on 7/24/23. The water bottle came in with the wrong name printed on it, I called to let them know and they stated that I had to return the water bottle with the wrong name and they would ship out a replacement. I packaged and sent back the incorrect item the following day; it was recieved by Pottery barn kids on 8/9/23. I waited patiently for my replacement, nothing. I called on 8/22/23 and was told THEY would start printing the item on 8/21/23-8/23/23-- I asked if they would be able to expidite the shipping as I have already waiting so long. I was told that wasn't something she could not change the shipping speed of the item. I asked for them to please reach out and see if there was something else they could do to get this item before my daughter starts school. I then waited on hold for 20 minutes only for the operator to inform me that the item is now on backorder and wont ship until October 16th. At this point i'm still on hold. 35 minutes into this call with ZERO resolve. Never again.

Do not order baby furniture from here, while the ordering process in store was amazing and our sales rep Fran was incredible to work with, once the order is placed it is out of the stores hands and at the mercy of the delivery service. The delivery service is absolutely horrible, from delays to having to chase them down daily for a simple COI it's been a nightmare process.

I ordered a school backpack for my granddaughter. she only used it for 1/2 the first day of school and it is already coming apart at the handle. I called Pottery Barn Kids customer service for a replacement and they said that they do not have the designed i ordered in stock and they could not replace it. They offered me $7.00 to have the handle repaired. This is terrible customer service. No wonder the company does NOT accept reviews by their purchasing customers for their items.

Absolutely terrible. Sent us wrong item, then when we returned it, charged us THIRTY dollars as a "restock" fee. If I had known there was a restock fee of half the value, I would've tried to sell the item on facebook marketplace or something

The folks at the store were nice enough. Ordered a cabinet and changing table for my newborn. Took a day off of work to be present for the "white glove delivery"...saw the truck pull up, and the guys just sat in the car. I was waiting for my doorbell buzzer to ring to let them in. After 10 minutes, I went down to see what was going on, and they were gone. Looked on my camera, and the guys never got out of the truck! My order status was changed to cancelled. After an hour and a half on the phone, they won't take a complaint, they won't give me a shipping ($170) refund, and they won't try and reschedule delivery for 48 hours (when I'm likely to be told next availability is weeks away) . It's not easy to take s day off work for this TERRIBLE service.

Customer service was not able to help me. Purchased my children backpacks this summer so they could start the year with a new backpack. One child's backpack is flaking apart...so I asked for a replacement. The first representative told me as long as I had the order number they could replace it for me, when I called back a different agent answered and she said she can't because it is past the 30 days. Truly disappointed. Pottery Barn is going to lose a customer for all future needs.

I bought an expensive glider for the nursery thinking it would be a good investment piece for our firstborn. However, after a few months it starts squeaking. At first I tried to ignore it, but it gets worse and worse over time to the point that I can't sit at anymore because this squeaking is so loud and awful. It's obviously not conducive to getting a baby to go to sleep. You can imagine between a crying baby and a loudly squeaking chair what that does to a new mom's nerves over time. It has me in tears that I can't rock my baby to sleep anymore. My husband and I tried to fix it but to no avail. I called pottery barn customer service but they said they couldn't do anything because I had been a year since delivery of the piece of furniture. However, I explained that we bought the glider several months before the baby's birth, so it was much less than a year of normal wear and tear. We spent several hundred dollars on a piece of furniture that provided us with less than a year of use, and customer service did absolutely nothing for us. Please save yourself the hassle of buying an investment piece from pottery barn, because without decent good customer service it's not worth it.

I am now thoroughly disappointed in what once was a store that previously provided great customer service. I contacted their customer service inquiring if an item I wanted to order might go on sale soon, as for the last several years I purchase our grandkids the same item and it was always on sale on Black Friday, and this year it was not on sale. The representative I spoke to told me if it went on sale with 30 days they would credit/refund the difference. So I placed the order. Today (6 days later) it goes on sale and I called back for the credit/refund and after spending 1 hour on they phone, they indicated I was misinformed and they would not issue a credit/refund. Needless to say, this left me very dissatisfied and I will no longer purchase items from Pottery Barn. Customer Service these days is just so sad!

I spent the big bucks on what I thought was a quality play kitchen for my grandkids. Well it last only a year before the front of the sink broke off. What looks like a solid play sink is actually multiple mdf boards tacked together with a few tiny nails. We tried glueing it but it broke again. I contacted customer service thinking they would back their product. No such luck! They call this normal wear and tear. So much for getting what you pay for and having an heirloom toy. I should have bought the much cheaper kid raft product for how long this lasted. Thanks for nothing pottery barn kids.

Absolutely horrible, will never ever shop with Pottery Barn ever again. Stay away if you are expecting a baby. We ordered a Crib in January which had a promised delivery by May 3rd. We found out the week prior after checking that it was delayed over a month without any notice. The exact same thing happened with blackout curtains we ordered, supposed to arrive end of March and we checked the day after their arrival date to find out they were delayed 2 more months. There are already way too long wait times for their products but to never alert customers that there are further delays is beyond unprofessional. These are crucial things for a baby who will now arrive before they guaranteed arrival of place for her to sleep. We gave a month of buffer to make sure if it was delayed a week that we would not run into this issue but a month without any notice for go to competitor is not acceptable.

AWOID THIS COMPANY BY ANY MEANS!!! Please, I want to warn every woman who is planning to buy furniture from this company. I made an order 2 months ago and still didn't receive anything. I was calling customer support, emailing them and every time I was given different update on my order and postpone delivery date. I'm giving a birth less than in a month. I have no where to put my baby. No dresser to put baby's clothes and all the items! Believe me, it's not fun to fight this big system when you are pregnant.

Pottery barn has gone down in quality over the years. Been a loyal costumer for 10 years and have bought numerous bed sets, backpacks and other children's items. Recently purchased a wheeled backpack for my daughter. Within a few months the wheels are falling off even though the rest of the bag is in perfect shape. Called customer service and they won't replace or refund my $75 backpack. This decision was made after waiting on the phone for a "manager" for over an hour. So disappointing they don't stand by their merchandise! But not surprising as it's crap now. Won't ever shop here again.

Pottery Barn Kids had a huge sale on kids' towels and I ordered two bath towels for my daughter. Turns out that Pottery Barn Kids had mistakenly put a wrong price on the bath towels on their website, and instead of the bath towels they sent me two washcloths! No email informing me about their mistake, no apologies. They just sent me the washcloths. When I complained about it, they just asked me to return the wash cloths for refund. Because of a few dollars that Pottery Barn Kids would have lost with their mistake, I have to deal with this and wait for refund. I think it's very bad customer service. It's not the customer's fault if you are listing wrong prices on your website! Very disappointed with PBK.

The sales representative named Dolores is rude and obnoxious to her colleagues. She is a true "Karen." She creates a hostile, uncomfortable, work environment for her co-workers.

I ordered a baby blanket in mid-May and it is now mid-July and I'm still waiting! Every time I call they say that a large order is coming in and the blanket will ship out. I heard this twice in June and now the same story in July. It's clearly a system error but I can't seem to get anywhere. They also hit my PayPal EVERY WEEK with a pending charge, so I have to go to my credit card statement to make sure the old pending charge drops off. I have heard from 2 other people that had the same issue. They are killing their brand with this nonsense! I'll NEVER shop there again!

I have my baby registry with Pottery Barn Kids. It has been high maintenance keeping up with back ordered items, pushed delivery dates and discontinued items on the registry list. There's a total disconnect with what you see online and what Customer Support is communicating. The white glove service couldn't get into my building with the crib in Dec so just left, which resulted in a 2nd work from home day waiting on the crib. (fee was not waved) The most frustrating purchase has to be the tufted convertible wing back rocker. I purchased the item Jan 16 through the quick ship category (which honors 1-3 weeks shipping) my baby is due in 5 weeks. We are now into week 7 waiting for the chair. I have spent hours on hold, talking to support, and i have a lengthy email chain going with different Support folks. While they've been very apologetic, and have communicated some sort of compensation will be discussed upon delivery - there is no solution to the problem. "Unfortunately, we are unable to expedite the delivery process. However, as noted earlier, we can compensate you once the Rocker has been successfully shipped and delivered." 2/28 Support said that the rocker should be to the warehouse by 3/11, I just received a note 2 days ago that says its back to "status temporarily unavailable". I would love to cancel the order, but I've already invested so much time, and energy picking out the furniture to fit my small nursery, its just too late.and I was really excited about the items. I never ever anticipated this much upkeep with having a registry with PBK. I've also had to manage the delay of my XL Larkin dresser (which finally arrives this Friday Mar 10 after 10 weeks) My in-laws spent hours on the phone with PBK Support as well for this item. Just an all around disappointing experience for everyone. And the disconnect between the Manufacturer and PBK gives me anxiety that I'm never getting the rocker. For an upscale furnishing store that prides itself on Customer Service, satisfaction and white glove service - I'm not feeling the perks of being 1 of their Consumers. If anything, its been a gigantic headache.

I was looking for a mattress for a twin bed and after looking at their website came all the way up to their store (I do not live on the UES) to see the mattresses in person. I approached a sales associate with brown shoulder length hair, who looked annoyed that I approached her because she was eyeing some parents nearby. She pointed me to the mattress and said she'll be with me shorty to answer any other questions but then left to talk to the parents. She did not come over to me and I was there for 10 minutes looking at other beds. No one else came up to ask me anything. I mean of course talking to parents instead of a single woman would probably be more profitable for them, but hey, Pottery Barn on 2nd Ave, YOU NEVER KNOW.

If I can leave a 0 star I would. I love PBK stuff and am a loyal customer. However, I would never ever recommend that particular store to anyone. This store has the worst sales associates I have ever seen. I was in the store a few times, and never had a pleasant experience. Once I was buying a Halloween candy basket. After staring at the sales associate chatting with one another for 10 minutes and inquired whether anyone of them were open, one woman told me I shouldn't wait at that register. Instead, I should wait at another register while there was NOBODY attending it. Today, I went there to meet up a friend of mine, there was a lady standing at the door kept staring at me like I was a thief. She approached me three times asking whether I need help or anything even after I told her I was waiting for someone. She stared at me and with a very unpleasant expression. I stared back and politely told her:"no, I don't need any help. Thank you." and looked at her walked away. She stared hostilely at me and my friend on our way out of the store.

Such a bad location. No one acknowledges you, opens way too late. It's a neighborhood baby store. People with babies are up early, 9am would be much better. They keep so many towels in stock and have barely anything else. They need to revamp it for city living and put items on the floor that are good for apartments, such as the Camden bunk instead of some of these huge pieces of furniture.

If you come to this store, expect to wait a long time! I have had to wait a significant amount of time on three separate occasions. The first time was waiting just to check out. Instead of helping customers, the two sales associates behind the counter were on the phone for over 10 minutes helping with orders for other customers over the phone. I finally just ended up leaving without purchasing anything. It was if I wasn't even standing there. The second time I waited 30 minutes to have two items gift wrapped. I wish I never mentioned they were gift items. It would have been nice to have been warned the wait would be that long - and when I tried to just take the items without wrapping, no one seemed to be able to help return the items to me so I could leave. My last and final experience was picking up a monogrammed item. I called ahead of time because I purposely wanted to ensure I did not have to wait. I was told the item would be done first (at 11am when the person responsible for monogramming arrived). I specifically asked if the item would be done by 2pm and was assured it would be. When I arrived at 2pm, the item had not been monogrammed yet and the sales associate said it would be done by 4pm. Overall a terrible customer service experience. The store needs to be more honest about their long wait times and not make promises to customers they can't keep.

This particular location does not have enough staff considering how many customers they have at all times of the day. They don't circulate the floor or provide assistance. So far I've been in there three times. I had to do the bulk of my research online prior to going in. For those considering using them for a registry, I would heavily reconsider. Their customer service and shipping company do not communicate and as a result I've been trying to get a chair delivered for two week. First time their "truck broke down" ...second time "it never made it on the truck" third time..they went to the wrong address.

Terrible service!!! Ordered a bed for our three year old. When the box arrived, we disposed of our daughter's bed but then realized that they only delivered half of our bed. Customer Service told us that the other half was still in the warehouse, they did not know what happened but they would request expedited shipping and we should get the second part two days later. Two days later when the delivery still did not come, Customer Service then told us that the order was still being processed and that it would arrive in 11 days!!!!! When I asked to speak to a manager, I was told that a note was being added to our account and that someone would call me within the next 24 to 48 hours.....On top of my daughter being very disappointed that she does not have her big bed yet, has to sleep on a mattress on the floor, It was a huge waste of time and money... I am done with this company.

I was a bit hesitant to begin this review, because stores like Pottery Barn do not exactly fall within my wheelhouse. So coming at it as a person with absolutely no expertise in this arena, I can't say I came away from my experience particularly impressed. I went here in order to buy a gift for an upcoming baby shower and was enthusiastically greeted by one of the store associates. Unfortunately, my experience was all downhill from there. Although other reviewers alluded to the limited selection, I was still stunned by what wasn't in stock-in this case, my first three gift choices. The store was rather small-as mentioned in earlier reviews-and the service was unexceptional, at best. Think Popcopy-the Dave Chappelle Show-minus the overt hostility/rudeness. And I must echo the sentiments of other Yelpers, the actual products are incredibly expensive, given the quality of material. Overall, there was nothing distinctive-in a good way-about this store.

Lots of really cute stuff but the quality is so so. Kids are hard on furniture and you want to buy quality. This store's furniture looks good but is too big for Manhattan apartments (unless you live in a townhouse or huge apartment) and isn't great quality. If you want to window shop for pretty furniture, this is your place.

Stay away from this company if you value your money!! The worst company I have ever dealt with. They charge outrages prices for such an unbelievably cheap products and poorest costumer service!!! We bought their Tatum changing table and crib. It took them more than 2 months and 2 wrong deliveries until we got the right items! Unprofessional service for this "wannabe" fancy company... Eventually when I got the items, I realized the quality is soooo poor! The drawers of the changing table do not open and close smoothly, very cheap design. I could have gotten something so much cheaper in a better quality. I love the design of their products but I'll never ever ever but their stuff Stay away!!

Legit the worst service I've ever experienced. Nasty store manager. If you have the choice, I would go to a different location.

Terrible customer service. Don't go this store. Store associates have no will to help, usually take more than 30 mins even just for picking up the ordered item. They keep making mistakes for charges, items bring from stock.. Everything is horrible.

I am really not sure why everyone is so down on PBK or this location. I recently went in to pick up a carpet and other things for the children's room and the staff was super helpful. I wanted a specific rug and the sales associate gave me her full attention to make sure that I was able to get exactly what I needed. When they didn't have some of the options I preferred in stock, she brought up items that matched my request in the price range I was looking for. I also purchased letters for their names and when one of them was "open box" she applied touch up on it without me even asking. These are the types of stores where you need to walk in with your expectation that you will wait to be helped, but if you are patient and POLITE, you will walk out a very happy customer. I would recommend this store, you can't compare giggle to pbk since giggle is from birth to 2 where as pbk will take you through the teenage years.

There's only one PB Kids store in the city, shouldn't be a reason to be rude. Staff is about professional enough to answer a few questions but once the credit card is swiped, don't expect anything else - can't get my items gift wrapped because they are too large and the paper they have is for "customers" - am I not a customer if I just purchased in your store?

DO NOT EVEN BOTHER WITH THIS STORE. THEE MOST RUDE EMPLOYEES. God forbid you ask them to help you with anything and they get an attitude and talk disrespectfully to you as if you are an idiot. When they are in fact the most inept and useless bunch of employees. They are NOT knowledgeable about their products and when you ask them about it, they throw their hands up in the air, say things, like "I don't know, that's all we have" or "what do you want me to do about it" I will never buy their products online or in stores. Williams Sonoma can thank their Pottery Barn employees for losing them business. And looking at their company earnings calls, they need all the help they can get.

Upper East Side location has great staff, but unfortunately corporate BP Kids customer service and order execution (if you order anything for delivery) is beyond horrendous. Get ready for endless emails with incompetent reps. Want some examples? 1) Received an email last week for a Crystal...my name is Lindsey...2) My order was erroneously cancelled about 6 wks after placing the initial order 3) Was charged in full for a $1000+ recliner that is now 8 weeks overdue - still no delivery date in sight. And don't even try getting in touch with the call center. You'll be on hold for 30-50 minutes, and just as you're about to connect to a live person, you'll get "accidentally disconnected". How is this place still in business? No freaking clue. Worst retail experience of my life. By far...!!!! STAY AWAY!!!!!

I've never written a review before on any site but this experience at Pottery Barn Kids on 2nd Ave in NY was one for the ages. My 7 months pregnant wife and I were shopping for a crib and the sales women was the rudest, most unprofessional woman either of us had ever encountered. We enquired about starting a registry and she threw the clipboard at wife. We then asked about the price of a crib and she was curt and rude with her answers. We told her the crib was on sale last month and asked if the store would honor the sale price. She then started yelling in the store that it was an "event" and it's now $200 more. She was yelling so loud that other people's children were staring at her. My wife and I were both shocked and immediately left the store. I just wished I got her name so we could complain to the manager. But we were so shocked and disgusted that we just left. Long story short, just go to Giggle on 75th and Lex. They are super nice and helpful!

The store is clean enough, but it's not very big, which is problematic since it's the only Pottery Barn Kids in Manhattan. They didn't have the crib (or any other furniture) I was looking for, because the floor isn't big enough to accommodate all the furniture that's offered in the catalog. The sales associate I spoke with was very nice, but it seemed like it was her first day there. She wasn't able to answer any of my questions, and when she went to check to find out anything I asked her, she was gone for extended periods of time. When she gave me a scanner to continue my registry, I found that there really was very little in the store that was worth even considering. Ultimately, I canceled the registry that I DID start with them, because after doing some research (on Yelp and other websites), I discovered disturbing accounts about their business, including poor customer service (which I wasn't surprised about given my limited experience), bed bugs in the furniture, and the fact that Pottery Barn Kids isn't registered with the BBB. Considering how expensive their products are, I couldn't really justify purchasing so many pieces for my son's room with It'll be a little less convenient to find another baby furniture store, but I'd rather hold out for something that's highly reputable (by business and consumer standards) than just going with something easy.

My husband and I had the huge undertaking of designing my daughters new bedroom! We made an appointment and meet with Dolores ! And what a wonderful experience that was. I am so thankful for people like Dolores that make special experiences even more beautiful ! Dolores was kind, sweet, knowledgeable and quick! She taught me so much about my daughters future needs- that I didn't even think of ! She designed the most beautiful room for my little girl! And when months later I had certain issues - she was there and fixed all of them! She is such a true gem- and anyone that has the good fortune of working with Dolores will completely agree with me!

Literally probably the worst customer service experience I've ever had. The fact that these people chose to work in a customer facing role is absolutely mind blowing. Not only do they seem cognitively incapable of helping customers, but all the employees show visible contempt when asked the most simplistic of questions. Do not ever ever go here.

I have several months dealing with this store trying to get my money back with a returned items on April. They told me that I will be receiving a gift card and I wait like 6 weeks to received. Now I'm trying to use the gift card and when I place the code it say that is no a valid gift card. This it's crazy!!

Had the best shopping experience here today ! An associate named Gary helped me above and beyond the usual service in any store. He was helpful and made me feel like the only customer in the store - I will definitely be back and hope Gary is there that day !!

Fran is a horrible saleswoman there, she is so rude and will make you dislike your entire shopping experience- the way she talks to new moms purchasing furniture is awful. Another wonderful man Samuel works there and was really great. He deserves a raise not stop assisting people where Fran barely can manage 1 client without being rude. Shop with Samuel!

Worst customer service I have ever experienced. First review I have ever written but it's just that terrible.

I have mixed feelings on this place. I have been meaning to write a review for months. My first experience was at least 4 stars worthy - possibly five. I had to get a coworker a baby gift and i need it THAT NIGHT. I call the store and was told that it closed in 20 minutes. now way i could get there. they found my item on the registry, wrapped it and took payment over the phone and then when i arrived after closing, someone met me at the back door and gave me my present, with a sweet note attached explaining that she took off the price etc. really saved my butt. I went in last week and this place wasn't even that busy, but the sales people seemed overwhelmed, the store was a little messy and the merchandise is impossible to find. most of it seems to be in back, as the store is more of a display rather that shelves of boxes. that's fine, except it took me ten minutes to get someone to even get me what i needed, but when they did they were sweet so - i am over it. i am sure i will be back. seems like everyone is pregnant.

So, I'm not sure what's happened in the past, but this particular store went above and beyond the "call of duty" to help me out with a recent purchase. I placed an order with a sales associate at this location and he did everything he could to get me the exact kid table and chairs for my daughter's big birthday present. He even called me from his personal cell to tell me the status of my order. Unfortunately, there is some sort of disconnect between the stores and the warehouse because I received an email stating that my table was not only unavailable, but that they'd stopped making the farmhouse table altogether. Yet, for some reason they still shipped the chairs to the table that was no longer in existence. I thought, "Maybe I'll find a table that goes with the chairs anyway." Well, when the chairs arrived, I looked in the box and there was only one chair. So here I spent over $250 on one chair. Here's what I learned. The warehouse and help number get you nowhere-very-awesome unless you have decided to return everything and not try to find a replacement. After squaring away a return for the one chair and getting a refund for the missing one via the helpline, I decided to call Pottery Barn Kids on the East side to try again. I'll make this short because the solution they offered was snappy too: I told them my story and asked if they could get me any table and chairs for my kid's birthday. They responded with, "Did you like the Carolina Table and Chairs? What color? Ok. Let me see if they are in stock. Yup! They are. How does 30% off and a shipment tomorrow sound? Also, we can have someone put them together for you when they arrive. No extra charge. Thanks for being so patient and accommodating with our ordering process. Sorry for your troubles." I also got two follow-up calls. I did not expect the discount, but the solution was gold regardless. I'm coming back here for everything now. Love. This. Store's. Attitude. They went from zero to hero. And PS: the "Carolina Table & Chairs" are great for smaller apartment living and super pretty. I think they were better than our original "Farm Table & Chairs" choice.

Ordered a personalized toy chest for my son. I have the same exact toy chest for my first child with his name written in big letters across the toy chest. It is also advertised this way on the website. When I received the toy chest the name was written so small in the middle of the toy chest. It looked absolutely ridiculous. Called customer service and they said they will send a new one. Over the past month I have received FOUR INCORRECT PERSONALIZED TOY CHESTS! Every time I called customer service and explained the personalization was not correct and not written in big letters as advertised on the website they assured me the fixed the problem and would send the correct item. Finally, after the 4th time of receiving the same incorrect item, I just gave up and cancelled it all together. Do not waste your time or money with this company. Customer service has no idea what is going on. They all lied to me saying the problem was fixed and it never was. Horrible, horrible, horrible!

This review is for their website. The most horrendous costumer service I have ever experienced in my life. Rude, not accommodating to their costumers. Horrible is all I can say. Will never spend my money in any of their stores ever again.

Terrible customer service and employees at this location . I went in to return and item and exchange for another . 45 min later I was overcharged and the employees math was all wrong . I definitely will not come back to this location . Specifically Attn to the manager Gigi who did not help the situation .

This review is for their website. I placed an order on (12/19 for delivery by their schedule on 12/24. Just found out that they weren't serious and the new delivery is 12/27. I ordered a kids item and it will be disappointing to explain that Santa f-cked up. Customer service was pathetic to top things off. The worst ever! Don't touch these people with a 10 foot pole!

Worst customer service. I ordered a set of curtains online which were only available for in store pickup so I have to trek - 8 months pregnant - out of my way to this store to pick them up. I get there and takes 25 minutes for them to find the order even though I received a notification it was ready for pickup. The associate then tries to give me one curtian, not 2. Thank God I checked the bag So when I ask where the other curtain is she says "we must not have one." okay - I point out I obviously don't want 1 curtain. After 10 minutes back and forth with the associate where she tries to tell me she'll give me a list of stores where I can try and get a second matching curtain and I keep clearly telling her I am not going anywhere she needs to find one and get it sent to me the manager steps in. Mgr tells her to call stores and find one and have it shipped - seriously this took a manager and 50 minutes Then the associate just walks away and doesn't close out transaction. Mgr has to step in again and they finally give me a claim check and say they will call when it come in. I'm still not happy as they should have shipped it free to my home but after wasting 1.5 hours on it I give up So I get a call the curtain is in and send my husband to pick it up. Complete incompetence again they can't find it even with my name and the claim check Pottery barn kids - where to go if you want to be treated like crap and pay expensive prices for cheap products Avoid like the plague
