"Enrico Sablotny and Lukas Winkelmann, the duo who run this little restaurant, are from the Ruhr Valley. In the kitchen, first-rate ingredients are transformed into distinctly original, creative compositions. Skilfully combined flavours and harmoniously balanced contrasts are particularly evident in dishes such as Eifel salmon trout, apricot with long pepper and chamomile velouté, or boiled beechnuts with radicchio compote and cherry balsamic ice cream. Diners never know what to expect from the carte blanche set menu. Excellent service comes courtesy of very attentive, competent and charming waitstaff, who give the place a pleasantly unpretentious feel. The seats at the counter overlooking the open kitchen are especially popular. In summer, soak up the lively atmosphere of Cologne's Südstadt neighbourhood on the terrace." - Michelin Inspector

"Enrico Sablotny and Lukas Winkelmann, the duo who run this little restaurant, are from the Ruhr Valley. The cuisine here is exciting: modern, flavoursome, it is made with top-notch ingredients. It may be predominantly plant-based but that doesn't mean you have to miss out on fish and meat altogether. Diners never know what to expect from the carte blanche set menu. Excellent service comes courtesy of very attentive, competent and charming waitstaff, who give the place a pleasantly unpretentious feel. A Michelin star, and it's easy to see why. From the moment we walked in, the staff were incredibly attentive. We were greeted and seated straight away. It’s a small venue, so attention to the little things is hugely important — and they nailed it. We were lucky enough to sit at the counter (it's an open kitchen), giving us a front-row seat to the magic. The service appeared effortless while maintaining the absolute highest standards. The chefs hardly spoke, yet everything ran like clockwork — it almost felt like the executive chef was communicating telepathically with his team. The service was exceptional. Each course came with an in-depth explanation of the ingredients and techniques used. We opted for the wine pairing, which I’d highly recommend — if you're enjoying a meal like this, the pairing really completes the experience. Just like the food, each wine was introduced with thoughtful details about its origins and flavour profile. Absolutely 100% recommend this restaurant if you’re after a top-tier dining experience in an intimate setting.

The food presentation and taste is excellent. The idea of having no menu is really exciting. All the courses were accompanied by amazing wines. The whole staff is so professional, welcoming, and friendly. Having a counter space allowed us to ask questions and also pop into the kitchen. The washrooms are super clean and equipped with small towels. For this, I would give the restaurant 5.5 stars. That Michelin star is well deserved, restaurant recommendable any day, and we will be back.

Lovely, informal, small-scale. Living room atmosphere with relaxed music. Don't expect an ultra-sleek Michelin atmosphere, but good food with care!

A wonderful evening. Extraordinarily imaginative and delicious food. Lovely atmosphere created by people who are dedicated to sourcing extremely good ingredients and turning them into an unforgettable culinary experience.

Michelin Star, but don’t expect the typical Michelin type setting. What is different? It is more relaxed, easy going, run by young guys who are having fun. What is not different? The prices What is great? The food is extremely well prepared and well served. What sucks? Sorry, to say: the wines were selected by amateurs. I know wine is a taste thing, but as a *-restaurant you can’t miss on the all-stars. And the ones I had, did not impress. All in all 7.5/10

Overpriced. We had the tasting menu and expected much more for a Michelin star. It was outrageous the fact they served in one of the courses a simple potatle. Only one or two courses valued the status of the restaurant. We do not intend to return.

where do i even begin. the most prestigious meal of my graceful 25 years on this planet earth. the chefs weren’t culinary chefs as much as they were medical professionals where the food was a small baby child and they were performing surgery. The experience was profound. The service and setting did not disappoint. A petite non-pretentious setting enabled conversation to flow and the 3.5 hours of our magnificent experience felt but a faint rain drop in an ocean many of water. The food brought out feeling of love, empathy, and desire in me. Every time i thought i couldn’t be amazed, again amazed i was. I would like to thank everyone at Pottkind for their phenomenal achievement. It’s not easy to have such an affect and yet they did. I leave you with a single photo of the food, as if it could ever do it justice alas enjoy.

One of the best restaurants I’ve been to in a while. Great location, very cool bar situation where you can look into the kitchen, super friendly and easy going staff, great wine selection and of course amazing food. 100% recommendable!
