Grillades Pico Loco ( Poulet Portugais )

Very tasty food and a great experience overall. We ordered the chicken thigh and breast, as well as the Pico Loco salad with shrimp, and everything was fresh, flavorful, and nicely prepared. The portions were satisfying and the ingredients tasted high quality. The staff were genuinely kind, welcoming, and helpful, which made the experience even better. It’s refreshing to see a place run by young people who are clearly motivated and passionate about their work. Supporting local businesses like this really matters, and Pico Loco definitely deserves it. If you’re walking on Saint-Jean Street and looking for a casual spot with good food and a positive vibe, this is a great choice. We enjoyed our meal and would absolutely come back.

Casual, laid-back atmosphere. While the service was a bit slow, it was understandable since there was only one waiter for the entire place when we visited. Despite that, the flavor was amazing. I absolutely loved the polenta, and the chicken was delicious. I was really gutted that I had to leave the next day – I would definitely love to return for more!

This roast chicken restaurant was already on this street when I first came to Quebec City, about a decade or so ago. Now it's moved closer to the Old Town. Today is my first time back in Quebec City in six years, and I've come back to this restaurant again. The roast chicken is as delicious as ever—incredibly fresh, crispy skin, slightly savory, accompanied with juicy and tender meat. The sausages are handmade by the owner, completely different from the industrial taste of chain restaurants; the saltiness is just right, and they're very tasty. The roast pork chops and shrimp are also roasted to perfection. The fried potatoes are made with a unique sweetness thanks to the owner's locally sourced potatoes from Orléans. Making them himself is a significant improvement over frozen potatoes, as well. This meal reminds me of my time in Quebec City; it tastes like home.

The food was delicious and fresh. Perfect for someone who was trying to avoid poutine and tartare which seem to be the staples everywhere else.

came here for a late lunch/early dinner and although the restaurant was empty (which we thought may have been a bad sign) all the food was absolutely delicious. the chicken was freshly cooked, juicy, and flavourful. 1000x better than nandos. many thanks to the kind bulgarian server whom we had a great conversation with. would highly recommend this spot.

A casual place where the food is really good, highly recommend the ceviche, octopus and chicken! It really hits the spot.

We had a great time at Pico Loco. The food was delicious (we had the chilli con carne and chicken soup apps and chicken breast dinner) fast and friendly service, and a warm atmosphere. The price was very reasonable too. The piri piri sauce is amazing!

The chicken breast with spicy sauce wasn't that spicy at all. The fries and cole slaw was good. The rice however was a bit too salty and it tasted like it came from an instant rice box sold at grocery stores.
