Liked pretty much everything about this cute shop except my chicken au jus baguette. I’m not sure if it was the broccoli or the other greens, but something in the taste was off to me. I also kept questioning whether my chicken was actually tuna? Presentation was wonderful and the cheese and au jus were delicious with the bread, just something about the filling was too unique for my liking. My friend reported that the chicken salad sandwich was “like one a nice grandma would make at home but 10 times better.” Service and atmosphere all passed my test. Only just wishing I ordered the Mac n cheese…

Run don't walk here!!! My friend and I went and were treated so well. It's really nice to see people proud of the food they're serving. We both got the combo platters. The potatoes are a MUST!! Next time I go I need to try the garlic bread and homemade brownies. The chicken is the star. The skin is crispy and the simple seasonings of rosemary, tarragon, salt, pepper, and thyme (if I remember correctly) really help the chicken shine. My friend joked that she wants to get a whole deboned chicken next time we go. I will think about this meal for a while.

I stopped by lPoulet San Tête to try their seed oil free rotisserie chicken with a friend and it was amazing. The atmosphere is well curated. The seating and spacing felt more intimate for family or dates but also for solo dining. They also have outdoor dining. You can see the rotisserie chicken cooking behind the counter. My favorites were the chicken baguette and chicken dripping potatoes. I loved how the chicken was tender & juicy. The sandwich came together really well. I don’t know what was better because those potatoes hit the spot. Maybe some of the best potatoes I’ve ever had. The staff were welcoming and helpful. This is definitely a hidden gem in my books.

This is a review from Taiwan, and I have to say the food here was absolutely incredible! I rarely write reviews, but this place truly deserves it. Every bite was full of flavor, and it might just be the best meal I’ve had on my entire trip. Highly recommended!

I ordered takeout and overall it was pretty good but the Mac and cheese was fairly disappointing. There was not really much cheese, it was just Mac. I added the garlic sauce on top & then added my own cheese after. I’d come back and order something else though!

I ordered the red beans and rice bowl with a side of mac and cheese and Brussels sprouts. The bowl tasted like pre-packaged quality. It didn't taste bad, but it also didn't taste like restaurant-quality food.

Wow! What a find! We walked into this place really randomly and this is the best chicken I ate in the US. It was so tender and juicy! We also tried chicken soup, it reminded me of home. Their chicken is really phenomenal, simple, but so delicious, they cook it in a European style, which is quite difficult to find in the US. We will come back for sure. Our server was super nice as well, the ambiance is very cozy and clean and the price is more than reasonable.

Amazing food. The chicken is juicy but comes with different sauces for different flavors. Brussels sprouts had a perfect crunch. Garlic baguette had a fantastic herbal touch. Although this is a chicken place, their salmon is equally as fantastic! Loved the crispy skin!

*This review is for delivery* I've been craving what I guess I'll call "Thanksgiving sandwiches" -- that is, some combination of bird, stuffing, cranberry sauce on bread. The Poulet San Tete one is chicken -- that's fine; it's better even. And damn, the sandwich did not disappoint. I also ordered the rotisserie chicken baguette, which was also really great -- loved that it came on garlic bread. It had the perfect ratio of meat to vegetable to cheese -- something that seems easy but so many places get wrong. I'll definitely order from here again (although it's going to be hard to choose something other than a sandwich -- both of these were so good). The chicken itself was excellent. Moist, well cooked and seasoned. Husband found a small bone in his half of the sandwich. Ugh, but also yay for actually cooking and shredding a bird as opposed to places that serve some weird compressed chicken parts, masquerading as breast. Food came quickly.

This was my first visit, so I can't review comprehensively, but... I came up here from the Village with one objective: to try the Chicken Gobbler. I'd been on a bit of a hunt for Thanksgiving-type sandwiches, and someone on r/FoodNYC enthusiastically recommended this one. Their enthusiasm was justified. This was the best sandwich of its kind that I'd found in the city, beating out other places that I'd thought were excellent, and it didn't even use turkey! What it did have was rotisserie chicken, stuffing, apple cider vinegar onions, and cranberry sauce, on a great baguette. The stuffing was standout--no prepackaged factory stuff here--and the cranberry sauce was given a perfect light application that didn't overtake everything else, as sometimes happens. And the chicken au jus was a very nice touch. They don't have this specific item at the Village location, but hey, it's just a few minutes up on the 1, and so worth it. If you want the top tier of Thanksgiving sandwiches in NYC, come up there.

The chicken baguette au jus ($17) is basically a chicken dip sandwich with broccoli rabe, and I liked it. We took one for takeout, and there were globs of melted provolone studded with crunchy, pleasantly bitter broccoli rabe. The garlic baguette had softened, but it still withstood the aggressive dunking into the cup of oniony, savory, chicken dripping dipping sauce. The counter service was nice, and what I saw of the dine-in space looked comfortable. Real silverware and dishes, someone enjoying a proper glass of red wine. I'd want to dine in sometime.

The Chicken Bagette au Jus is an elite sandwich. The juiciness--even pre-Jus dunk--is sublime and the bitter broc rabe compliments it perfectly. It calls to mind Philly-style roast pork sandwiches. I know we're having a fried chicken moment right now (I'm not hating, I swear), but sometimes it's nice to eat homey and delicious chicken sandwich without instantly feeling the urge to sprawl out like a beached whale afterwards. As for ambiance/decor, it is sparkling clean and cute inside. My wife initially picked it off of vibes alone before even consulting a menu.

Saw the good reviews and am adding another. Fabulous chicken that features a lot of rosemary. Perfectly cooked. One of the best chicken meals ever! We enjoyed dripping potatoes, roasted cauliflower, and the crunch try health salad with cucumber and carrots. Good portions. Dinner for two plus leftovers for lunch. Tres bien! Merci!

Poulet SANS Tête, merci bien! The flavors here are heavenly! The rotisserie chicken is juicy and tender, redolent of rosemary, and a tantalizing heat of what? Cayenne? The crunchy Brussels sprouts are perfect - the little strands of orange peel make them rich and sparkling at the same time. The drippings potatoes are a monument to comfort food, what else can I say? Do not go without a sauce. My favorite is the garlic sauce - umami Paradise.! Joseph was sweet and attentive. The playlist can't be beat - eclectic, jaunty, and sophisticated.

This is a fabulous place. The wonderful chicken is cooked with olive oil and herbs. The potatoes are amazing. Brussels sprouts, delicious. Today I stopped in and had a lovely turkey. dinner with stuffing and cranberry sauce. Plus, the staff is always so great. It is a lovely little French bistro on the upper West side!

I recommend this place for everything but the chicken and broccoli and swiss + jus sandwich on baguette. It's a sloppy mess.

Malcolm and Robert are awesome - I come here at 1-2 times a week. The service and food are all amazing and healthy.

I never leave reviews but was blown away by the customer service that I felt I had to share. Not only is the food awesome, but they are very accommodating to allergies/allergy friendly. I called to ask whether the items I wanted to order in had any allergens I couldn't have, after confirming they didn't and hanging up, the manager called me back to confirm they take this seriously and will ensure the kitchen knows of the allergies. I've never had a restaurant do that before and was impressed. I also felt safe ordering in given the attention to detail. Thank you!!!

The menu is limited but everything is top- notch -- you can tell they use the best quality ingredients and take care with every dish. The chicken salad sandwich for example is just perfect. Service is excellent. Ambiance is simple.

Chicken is great, as are the sides - but most of all the staff is terrific. They're helpful and friendly and make me even more likely to order from them. I pick-up and order for delivery. Highly recommend.

White meat rubbery, kale too chewy, green sauce had twigs and was tasteless, potatoes very salty. Disappointing

I had high hopes and really wanted to love this place - offering fresh, real food available for lunch and dinner - but I too was overwhelmed with SALT like a previous reviewer. The chicken is nice and tender, but it has to be from all the salt. Thats all I could taste. We got a few sides (brussel sprouts were decent, potatoes were good and the zucchini corn, my favorite - good texture, flavor and cut the salt effect that lingered on my tongue). I was hoping this would be my go to for serving a great lunch for my boss and his family on his private flights, however, all I can say is I'm glad I went and tried it all out first. I don't want to give up on this place, such great potential! Maybe I'll try again in a couple of months and see if there is a new chicken seasoning recipe.

Wanted to love this place and ordered a whole chicken, fries and cauliflower. But, the abundance of salt was a deal breaker. Unfortunately!!! The good: Great potential. Nice sized portions. Creative. Good presentation. The bad: Super salty. Overly salted. Way too much salt. The chicken was crazy salty. And so were the french fries. Really?! And the cauliflower was way undercooked, nearly raw. The ugly: Frankly it all looked good. Just too much salt!!! I could still love this place. But not anytime soon. ‍

New Yorkers! Stop what you're doing and head to the newly opened Poulet Sans Tête on the UWS's Amsterdam Avenue (there's also one in the Village). The farm-raised rotisserie chickens are excellent, and the sides superb. I started with a whole chicken (nicely priced at $27) and a rotisserie chicken dinner ($26) for my neighbor. It came with two sides, so my friend chose cauliflower and potatoes with drippings. Both were good but the potatoes were sensational. I went back today for the rotisserie chicken lunch ($21), which has somewhat less meat than dinner. I chose two sides--the frites, which were fabulous, and the kale, which was a bit too salty for me. Friends like the ice cream, which I'll try next trip. Seating inside & out, plus delivery options. Love this place!

Outstanding Rotisserie Chicken. Juicy and delicious. The portions are generous. The many sides are also great. I had the spiced cauliflower which was amazing and the Israel quinoa salad was refreshing. My wife had the chicken and vegetable soup that was wonderful. A welcome addition to the UWS for both counter service and take-out. The service is very friendly and helpful.

Let me start off by saying that Poulet has fantastic food -- I used to order out from here somewhat regularly and have always been impressed with just how good the chicken & sides are. The reason I'm writing this review is to highlight how expensive Poulet has become. $30 for a quarter rotisserie chicken meal? When Whole Foods sells whole rotisserie chickens for $11? Let's call a spade a spade... it's unreasonably pricy. I can't justify ordering in from a neighborhood spot charging these prices. It's super upsetting given how good Poulet is. I pray for the day in which I can order from here regularly again. Please bring the prices back down to earth.

A neighborhood gem! I love the chicken salad sandwich, chicken and vegetable soup, and soft serve ice cream, but everything is good. Highly recommend!

Today I had a craving for chicken and this place hit the spot. The chicken actually tastes like chicken. The roasted potatoes cooked with the chicken juices were tender and savory. I'm sure the takeout is good, but to get the full experience, you need to eat there and watch the masterful preparation.

Stopped in at lunch time they weren't open yet but the chef said don't worry we are ready. I'm so glad he did, have wanted to try this place for a while. It was a great choice had the lunch special chicken was moist and so good, cauliflower and Brussels sprouts both were excellent. Will definitely return for sure.

Good service. Great tasting food made with quality ingredients and careful attention. I know the star is the chicken, and it is definitely good...but I could come here just for the sides. This casual French bistro vibe that has me planning to come back for more. It's fairly priced and properly portioned. And don't underestimate the sauces..so good!

Delicious, flavorful. I have been a few times and has yet to disappoint. The rice & beans are delightful and the chicken is spiced and cooked just right.

Chicken was delicious, ordered half chicken and was nicely flavored with herbs, juicy, meaty. Tried the salsa verde and the garlic and they added lots of flavor. Mac and cheese was a more grownup version with a white cheese and a ziti. Good. We went there and picked up, will definitely order again and try the potatoes.

Awesome new joint on Amsterdam Avenue! I had the rotisserie chicken dinner - so juicy and yummy with excellent herbs and such. Nice choice of sides and this time I had the macaroni and cheese (so good!!!) and the kale (tasty and healthy!) while my friend had the chicken with the spicy cauliflower and the roasted potatoes. They also have soft serve ice cream which I tried - it's made with all fresh ingredients too - yum! The folks who work there are all super nice, and you can see your meal being prepared by some great chefs, and can see how clean the kitchen area is. I've heard they're waiting on a liquor license too.

We live nearby and have walked by this place dozens of times but had not gone in until tonight. It was on our list to try, but with all the chicken places around, there was no pressure to try something new. When we got here, I noticed that they had a little chalkboard in front that says the best chicken in town. I thought this was very optimistic, and wondered which close relative or employee wrote that for them. When we got here, I noticed that the menu was somewhat limited to chicken and sides. In all fairness, the sides were quite interesting and so we ordered three of them. The cauliflower, the brussels sprouts, and the baguette. We also ordered two extra sauces, the aïoli and the garlic sauce. Despite the modest appearance in the simple menu, the chicken was probably the best I've ever had. it was perfectly spiced, moist and tender. We ordered a whole chicken and it fit three of us with some to take home at the end. The brussels sprouts were absolutely delicious and the cauliflower was wonderful. A little spicy for those of you who don't like spices but still delicious. we finished off our meal with the soft ice cream which had rainbow sprinkles and was delicious. Perfect

I still can't stop thinking about the meal I had here yesterday. Not only was the food divine and comforting on a cold day, the ambiance of the restaurant was so warm and welcoming. My friends and I were shocked at how great the quality of the food was for such an affordable price. I would have paid quite a bit more than I did because the quality was so high. I want to come back soon for more.

I had high expectations for a $27.00 Rotisserie chicken. Sadly I was very disappointed.... I can describe it in 2 words "DRY" & "SALTY". Disappointed!

I found this little gem on the UWS while browsing what I could have on a keto diet and I was very impressed by the food and service. I had the lunch rotisserie chicken with veggies and salad and everything came out perfect. The chicken was very juicy and flavorful and they even had sugar free drink options so I didn't have to just drink water. The staff was very friendly offered us free desserts which I politely passed on due to my diet. I will definitely return soon.

Wow - the food here was AMAZING and the service was lovely. The chicken ju baguette is to DIE for. Plus, they gave us a free (delicious) cucumber salad and a lil taste of ice cream. Highly recommend if you want an AMAZING meal in a really cute, casual atmosphere.

I just discovered a great new (or new to me) place for delicious chicken: Poulet Sans Tete on Amsterdam Avenue. It's not a full restaurant, but you can sit at a counter or take home. I stopped in because I'd heard good things, and I'm happy to say that the chicken is outstanding and the two side dishes I chose (sauteed kale and quinoa salad) were far superior to any take-out I've had. This place's secret weapon is the Chicken Baguette sandwich: rotisserie chicken meat with broccoli rabe and melted provolone. This is a riff on the Pork Italian, a Philly classic that doesn't get the fame of its better-known brethren the cheesesteak and the hoagie. The moist and juicy chicken meat replaces roast pork, and the crusty toasted baguette replaces the Sarcone's Italian roll. Delicious. A genius sandwich.
