This was my first visit, so I can't review comprehensively, but... I came up here from the Village with one objective: to try the Chicken Gobbler. I'd been on a bit of a hunt for Thanksgiving-type sandwiches, and someone on r/FoodNYC enthusiastically recommended this one. Their enthusiasm was justified. This was the best sandwich of its kind that I'd found in the city, beating out other places that I'd thought were excellent, and it didn't even use turkey! What it did have was rotisserie chicken, stuffing, apple cider vinegar onions, and cranberry sauce, on a great baguette. The stuffing was standout--no prepackaged factory stuff here--and the cranberry sauce was given a perfect light application that didn't overtake everything else, as sometimes happens. And the chicken au jus was a very nice touch.
They don't have this specific item at the Village location, but hey, it's just a few minutes up on the 1, and so worth it. If you want the top tier of Thanksgiving sandwiches in NYC, come up there.
