Portland’s Best Bars and Cafes That Play Vinyl Records | Eater Portland

"This beloved Foster bottleshop featured a vinyl station when it was known as Unlimited IPA, and its new owners have kept the party going. The long, narrow space has a fair bit of vinyl on display, along with a wall of refrigerators stocked with equally colorful tallboys and six-packs. The sounds come courtesy of an industrial turntable, but the real star is the rosewood-paneled Sony ES receiver it’s hooked up to. This is the kind of neighborhood shop where regulars pop in every few minutes for a tallboy of their preferred IPA, but the hardwood bar is plenty capable of sustaining an evening of pints on repeat." - Ben Coleman

New owners (of a lil while) are wonderful. You can find everything from Kirin Light to Double Mountain special releases. Winter white wine to Underberg. Not pretentious, honest, and the proprietors have good taste. Stop messing around! Go to Pour Decisions already

Fantastic little bottle shop and beer spot. Full of friendly faces, dogs, good beer, and once a week or so a terrible movie night. The owners are wonderful folks and they always make me feel welcome.

Great mellow beer bar that specializes in IPA, as the name would indicate but other wonderful non-IPA, cider and wine offerings as well. Chill atmosphere with lots of board games available. Cool local art to enjoy and of course malty/cider/wine libations. Comedy here this Sunday evening, which I think is a fairly new thing. Been coming here for years and the non pretentious locals scene has remained an enjoyable experience. It's roomy inside with large picnic style tables, good for larger groups or spreading out your intimate gathering. There's also a great bar for local socialization. The outdoor street side seating is a huge plus for this gem. After years of visiting, still a great place. Love the vinyl spinning on the turntable.

The bartender here was a genuinely nice guy with friendly banter. I like that they offer half pours so I can have a variety of beverages without a high price. Also the vibe here is relaxed.

A wonderful neighborhood pub, with 6 rotating taps, and a truly impressive selection of bottled beers. If you return a few times, I've found that the bartenders get to know you're tastes pretty well, and can make solid suggestions about their ever changing options. They offer both indoor and limited outdoor seating (right on Foster Road, for an unmistakable neighborhood experience), and a good selection of board games, so bring a few friends and stay a while.

Went for the Fort George tap takeover for Portland beer week. Amazing! Here's the equation. A few well healed taps + a supply of rare and tasty bottles + "dad rap" on wax = instant classic.

A great beer bar that offers a wide range of draft and can options. They have various N/A options as well. They also spin and sell vinyl.

Yelp
Honestly our favorite neighborhood bar- The regulars are regular. DJs for the anniversary party were poppin OFF. New owners have really polished up the place, more beers on tap, and so many more snacks - a fine fine time was had - took some pictures:

Yelp
Haven't been here for a couple years, and not much has changed--except the name, the owners, and the number of taps. Still feels real comfortable, funky, casual (How many place you know of have a window in the bath room that views inside the building. Friendly and informative beertender, fine sel3citon of cans and bottles to go, And the expanded number of taps takes them beyond IPAs, with the same eclectic spread of known and never heard of before breweries. no poor decisions here.
