Great place for amazing live music in Oceanside! Some local, some world-class acts. Love having such a great music venue close to home (used to drive to LA or downtown SD to see some of the same bands). Disappointed in the new menu. Missing the amazing tater tots and some other menu classics...new items are tasty, but smaller potions and $$.

I normally don't leave reviews but I just had too for this place from the moment I walked in I was treated like family the staff was super friendly the service was fast and excellent the music was just pretty damn good for a first impression I gotta say they did a great damn job me and my girl will definitely be back. P.S. the Mexican Candy shots were freaking amazing 😋

8/30/25: Still a great place to see live music and I love they have early shows! Nice combo of draft beers too. Great place to see live music! Decent selection of draft beer at reasonable prices. Can't comment on the food.

Still has the atmosphere it's had for decades: fun, and very local hang out. An upgraded sound system, and sound personnel with some nice lighting make it more of a "real" venue. What made our night was the hospitality of the bar tender. She was quick and very nice. All the personnel smiled. Security (obviously part of that team wearing a shirt with that printed on it in large letters) answered a question as we were parking to ensure us that parking after a business closed nearby was ok. The parking lot to the north has been transformed into a seating area. Parking is challenging, but seemed adequate for the amount of people inside.

I love this place for amazing music . Friday nights never fail me for great music selection 5-8 pm are favorite nights! Blues, jazz, rock.. delightful . I come here at least few times a month. Sometimes the music level is too loud for the space if they can adjust that the music will be definitely 5+ star. Food and drinks are relatively ok, prices are great, sometimes service is slow and some servers don’t smile.

Went last night for the first time. We had dinner at the Sushi place up the street so didn't eat at the Pour House. There was a cash cover charge that I did not expect so bring cash if you go. This place is spacious with a nice performing stage. The bands were really good and they have an outdoor patio with heaters if you get cold. I really enjoyed this place and will definitely go back.

Came here on a Thursday night for dinner with the hubby. Went inside to grab a menu since there was no one outside. A girl showed up seconds laters and took our order. I had the BLT with truffle fries ( 100% would recommend ) for an additional $2.00. Well worth it. Hubby ordered a burger and agreed he should've ordered the truffle fries. Service was really awesome and we didn't wait long for our dinner. We sat outside were they have strings of lights and heaters which made for a super cozy atmosphere =)

The Pour House in South Oceanside is a lively bar and restaurant with live music and a pool table. This joint has a full bar along with beers including some stellar craft brews on tap. I’d describe both the appearance of the Pour House and the crowd as bohemian. That is a definite compliment. There’s no trace of pretentiousness here. A small but diverse menu of quality dishes awaits you here. The pork sliders I had were a serious step above the norm. Quality all the way with their House Bacon Burger too. Next time I’m going for the Ahi Tacos-they sounded real interesting. On the Friday I was there, live music started at 5:30. They players were great and the volume was perfect. Blues and an eclectic mix was what was played. For the band later, a small cover charge kicked in. Service was friendly as were the other customers. The pool table saw action continuously. They have a moderately sized parking lot with plenty of street parking available too. Ride sharing services were heavily used by people coming and going. Glad I spent a few hours here. I’d do it again without a second thought.

Great atmosphere. Fun open mic. Probably the best pretzel I've ever had. Drinks were nice and strong.

Tell me why I tell the Hispanic security guard about throw up in the bathroom and he says "it's there for the night because it's not my job Its a busy night." and I asked if he's serious and he said he can give ME a towel to clean it but that's the most he can do.. and also tell 20 minutes later my brother in-law and I walk out to the car to get the ladies coats and I thought someone was peeing by the dumpster being drunk.. and and tell me WHY its that same long haired security guard with some other guy with Their faces in.. I'll just say what looked to be a lightish substance.. I mean to each his own... But at work.. on a busy night.. it's dangerous.. NO SHAME! On the way back from the car jackets in tow we walk past the security guard the other guy was gone now but the guard stood VERY alert like he could see EVEERYTHING haha my brother in-law even said "pretty busy huh?" And the guy just staired at us breathing heavily and didnt say a WORD! I want to say I've been here maybe 50 times in my life and the place is usually a fun time it has gotten a little wild lately.. I'll probably review it again next time because I don't mean to hurt the business but I'm not sure how else to let the local owners what is going on if they are unaware.. if they are well.. then pour houses days are numbered.. like what if a big fight happened and someone got injurded or the security guy in His state used the big knife he has on his hip! pour house being shut down would be a damn shame.. I don't want another firewater type incident.. On a side note my wife ate here last week on the patio and she says the food menu is very good the the waitress who is always there was all smiles..

It's a dive bar. Not a bad thing but this house is a bit poor. Tables are dirty, drinks are sloppy and the bartenders favor the regulars. I've been here many times and there always seems to be a funky smell in the air. Most recently, I stood at the bar, waiting for acknowledgement, while the bartender was leaning on the bar and chatting with a customer. The eye contact said that they would get to me when they were good and ready. There were three of us and we all got tired of waiting, so we left. On the plus side, the are open late, and they do have live music several nights a week. I like that, I just wish it wasn't so hard to order a drink (and maybe they could tidy up once in a while).

Went in for a bite and drinks. A band just got off and kitchen closed before we could order, prior to what was stated on website. Had a drink and then had to find some food. Perhaps I'll get back and try the food. Just wish more places would list when their kitchen closes.

Fun spot. They always have had live music when we visit. Food is pretty good as well. And the bartender double checks on you when you drink is going low. Great environment.

My favorite dive bar. I've been here at various times of the day (still need to check out the weekend brunch menu soon!) and night, and have enjoyed everything from bringing Cali to eat on the patio to listening to live music in crowds. The food is really good and reasonably priced. They've gradually whittled down the options, and now have a simple menu that features Taco Tuesday and Wing Wednesday. There's even a kid menu here! I've had truffle fries, the fish tacos, and the giant pretzel with the beer cheese. I look forward to working my way down the menu. Hilariously, I always over-dress and look way out of place when I come here. No matter the time of day, a lot of hipster and rough-looking people hang out... Anyway, this is a usual spot for my friends and coworkers, so I'll be back! Pros: - dog-friendly during the daytime - decent menu - live music at night - open late (like 2 am) - outdoor area is nice Cons: - parking in the area sucks

This place is such a vibe!!! Shannon the executive chef recommended the pretzel and the double burger and both were so delicious!!! I love the beer cheese sauce the pretzel came with and the grilled onions on the burger were so good. Our bartender Chanel was so friendly and recommended some IPAs that were refreshing and went perfectly with our meal. They have a pool table to play with friends and they had live music that was awesome. I'm definitely coming back with more friends soon! Try this place asap!

It is with great sadness that I am writing a negative review of this business. A few weeks ago the menu changed from incredibly burgers and my all time favorite pretzels. The new menu does not match the venue. We want our greasy burgers, fries and pretzels. Keep it simple and fast. 1-hour for a burger on a slow night is silly. We will be eating before coming from now on.

Being new to the area we went here to check out some local bands New Year's Eve. This place was popping! Enjoyable experience with lots of people and the service did a great job keeping up with the orders. The wings were bomb, bartenders were friendly even dealing with the intoxicated and the place was kept clean.

Ate here for lunch today with the wife. We ordered the Fish & Chips and Bacon Blue Burger and a couple of beers. The bar was full of people around 2:30pm but emptied out before we could finish our meals. The place feels like a hole-in-the-wall bar but the food seems to be on the higher-end. My burger was $16 and was excellent. Very tasty. The fries were seasoned almost too well (a bit salty) but the flavor was good. The burger was a tiny bit on the small size compared to other burgers around town. My wife's fish & chips had the same fries, but the fish portions were the smallest I have ever seen at any restaurant in my life. The fish was good, but these seriously were nugget-sized, and for $15 I think this is way overpriced. The staff was very friendly. This is definitely a smoker's bar and there is lots of seating outside on two separate patio areas which is great (I smoke occasionally). Beers were cold and tasty. They had a good assortment of beers on tap too. Our biggest issue, if any, was the timing. We ordered and waited forever to get our food. I had finished my whole pint and ordered another before our food came. No one else was eating in the bar, so although things were tasty it's hard to want to come back for food. Otherwise, if you're looking for cold drinks and an easy place to smoke, this is the one.

So we've been coming here for about 8 years. Mainly to see some good live music. The food used to be very good. Lately it's been mediocre and much smaller portions. The menu has changed many times. We feel obligated to eat here. If we're going to see a band because we don't drink alcohol. Today was the worst meal we've ever had here! Hubby's burger was extremely over cooked and my fish (fish tacos) was forgotten in the fryer for God knows how long. One server for the whole place, outdoor/inside! Poor girl, did the best she could

Fairly inexpensive place to see hang out or see a band. Lots of room and a large patio. When I was there, table service was not available, and I am not sure if that is typical. But I had fun and the acoustics are good for music.

Damn good burger and fries - yes its a dive bar but don't sleep on that kitchen. They are doing good things in that spot. We got pour house burgers with regular and the truffle fries. Food was quality and the staff was so sweet and take care of ya!

Soooo, came on a Saturday night about 6:00 Inside was packed but they had a cool looking/ sounding band inside. It was Loud so we couldn't really talk and hear each other, so we went outside. Lots of pics wood picnic tables set up on the asphalt parking lot. Kids were running around having fun using the cute table lights as footballs which was kind of scary and sad. Drinks for good, had quite a few beers on tap and we ordered their nachos to share very interesting flavor. Cute Oceanside pub to stop at and visit and catch up with friends

I like this place for a nice chill vibe. I came to see a band perform and also had the chicken wings with fries which were pretty good and the portion sizes were great! I like that they offer plenty of indoor and outdoor seating and the pool table is a plus! The bathrooms are always maintained clean and service is always on point.

What a fun place!? Great deals on bites and drinks, great atmosphere all around! You must stop by to enjoy the delicious food, great drinks and excellent service! Thanks to Alyshia for hosting us this afternoon!

Pour House was the perfect place to host my company's holiday party. Monique helped us create a fun event for everyone to enjoy. Will helped find and book us an amazing band that kept the energy up through the entire event. We had great food, a fun live band and I'm still getting compliments on what a wonderful time everyone had celebrating and being able to hang out in a comfortable and welcoming venue. Would highly recommend hosting an event here. The staff is so helpful and made it easy to pull together a memorable holiday party for us all.

We go to Pour House at least one a week. Great local spot, great service and fair prices. We love that we can bring our dog. Fun atmosphere

There is only a few places open on Monday and this is one of them. The moment we walked in, we can see this place in very fun, friendly and frequented by locals. The food is amazing and delicious. Bartender Robby was very friendly, helpful, and great food recommendations, we want to try everything he mentioned! For sure we will return for more. He was hopping on Monday when the trivia started at 6pm. Busy for Monday. Note: Parking can be a challenge because the parking lot is set up for seating. (But usually there is plenty on the street or behind the place.) ~ We went for more and it was great! Jennifer was awesome giving some great recommendations and one of the chef Codie made sure my Cuban sandwich was prepared so delicious and pressed to perfection. We tried oysters and the ceviche as well... but my favorite was the Cuban for sure!

Bearded bartender made it clear he was ignoring me. Couple next to me at the bar ordered and received their food; still the bartender studiously ignored me for many minutes. I just wanted a beer. When the bartender finally had time for me, he was utterly hostile. I ordered two beers. He demanded, "who's the other one for?!" ' I just didn't want to wait another awkward ten minutes for the next one. It's for me" He refused to pour the second one. I took my beer out and left no tip. He shouted "Hey, thanks a lot!" "You earned every penny, pal..." (lifts glass with a wink.) It's actually really fun to be a bartender. I don't understand how this hostile bearded guy chose to make it a wretched experience. This was the first and only time I've EVER left no tip, but he earned every penny and I feel zero guilt. Utter POS. WTF is wrong with you dude?

You wouldn't think a place like this have good food! The bar itself is very divy bar feel. The front Covid patio is nice. The bar seating facing the streets are nice to sit and people/car watch. We ordered the mussels, burger sub truffle fries and chicken wings. The food was definitely good. The mussels had this milky coconut broth. It was good, not what I prefer when eating mussels- more into tomato base broth. The wings were nicely cooked, no rub but you can request all the dipping sauces you want. We shared the burger and it was just the right amount of food! My cocktail was okay, I got the mule with some extra limes and it was still too sweet. Maybe a martini next time.

Popped in pooped out from house hunting all day. Wings were AMAZING, burger hit the spot & the fries were Da Best! The bartender was rock solid, the vibe was local and it was perfect!

They have HORUS on tap!!!! We were strangers and everyone was very welcoming. We had lunch, drank beer and met some of the locals. Jen behind the bar knew everyone. So glad we stopped.

This place has a dive bar vibe but the drinks and food was above dive bar standards. Creative drink menu and they were delicious! Food is fantastic, highly recommend the pretzel, literally amazing. Live band on a Friday night added to the fun. Service was quick and checked on us often!

This place was fantastic all the way around! I'd been wanting to try Pour House since I first drove by it a few weeks ago, and I'm glad I finally got around to it! The drinks are superb, and they were willing to make my drink to my very particular (and obnoxious) specifications. The food was also good, though not as stellar as the drinks. The servers were personable and checked in frequently. I will definitely be back!

Empty patio, empty bar and we were told they had no availabilty when we asked to have a glass of wine. I've spent 45+ years in the restaurant business and never experienced such "poor" service. Very disappointing and will never return.

They have some amazing beers on tap and the food was above average. Definitely a dive bar and if you're not into that vibe, the locals may be a bit much for you. Definitely not a yuppie or bougie place. I ate outside and the service was okay but when she didn't see me while walking around she just closed out my tab, so much for that tip. I gave her cash but it could have been more on my card.

I went to a show at PourHouse last night for the first time not knowing what to expect. As a venue, it was surprisingly nice...nice sized stage for the bands and a good amount of room for the crowd. Most of all, I have been to a million shows in my life, and never have I ever heard the bands sound so well balanced. Homegirl running the front house mix did a phenomenal job. Bravo.

Gave 1/2 of what I felt they were possible if cuz Taylor the server was amazing. Covering the entire floor on her own. The bartender, Rami. an ASS. Great wings usually is what has me coming back but not so good tonight. Thank you Taylor. Find a place more deserving off you.

Very cute patio area to enjoy the benefits of California weather. The food selection was okay, kinda limiting and didn't really stand out as wow....but decent. What made this place really impressive was the bottomless mimosas. Its kind of hard to find restaurants offering that up in north county. Offered on the weekends for brunch from 10-1pm. Again which is nice because usually there's a 2 hour window. So as a brunch spot with friends definitely a nice option.

This place was horrible! We chose the patio, weather was nice. Ordered some bar drinks that I had to send back I want to enjoy my drink not feel like I'm taking a shot every time I take a sip . I ordered the lemon salad my chicken was burnt & raw at the same which was weird. Burgers don't come with any garnish. 4 meals 100$ not worth it !!! & before I forget the entire place smells like pee

I came here to get chicken sandwich and waited a while to even get recognized. Once I did. Michelle gave me a sense of hostility that I will not come back. Enjoy the great outdoors and the great chicken sandwich that I remember bc I won't be back. :)

They deserve ZERO stars. I was there Friday night with a large group of friends to support other friends who's bands were playing. One of our friends is a US Combat Veteran with a service dog. After about an hour the management came over and decided to kick him out because they do not want dogs in their establishment. They told him he had to go out on the patio or could leave but he couldn't have his dog inside. Never mind the fact that it was 40 something degrees, crazy windy and raining. This is a very well trained dog. She stayed laying down, under the table at her persons feet. She wasn't doing anything that could cause a single person to complain. She had on her vest stating her name and her purpose and was doing her job as she has been trained to do! What they did is called service dog discrimination and very illegal. "Under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), businesses and organizations that serve the public must allow people with disabilities to bring their service animals into all areas of the facility where customers are normally allowed to go." This is Oceanside, a military town and they certainly know better than to do this to a veteran who needs the help of a service dog. I will never enter this establishment again and I will make sure all those I know who serve are aware of what they did.

I'm a regular here, and always enjoy it. I reached out to them earlier this year to see if we could plan a 40th HS reunion at their outdoor space, and they welcomed us with open arms. We had a bit of a hiccup after confirming this week, and the staff was definitely surprised when we arrived. However, they quickly sprung into action and created a dedicated space for us outside. I wish I had our three waitresses names, along with the bussers and support staff. They absolutely ROCKED. Every time I turned around they were taking orders, delivering orders, and generally organizing us. And they did it all with smiles on their faces, laughing and joking the whole time. Thank you, thank you, thank you! Everyone who attended really appreciated your service and you helped create a memorable event for VHS Class of 83!

Dry Rub wings are the BOMB!! Saw a live 3 piece band that was AMAZING! The keyboard player was named Tarryn and she was beyond talented. Didn't get the name of the band?? The place was packed for a Friday Happy Hour show. They probably could have used another bartender. Will be back for Wing Wednesday for sure!

The food here is exceptional and much more sophisticated than you might expect from a music venue and bar. I brought my son here today to celebrate the end of the school year. The service was friendly and efficient, the patio was spacious and the food was absolutely delicious. I have a feeling this place will be packed this Summer as folks start to come out from their Covid isolation. Come and enjoy it before everyone else figures it out! I had the beet salad and my kid had the angry rooster sandwich with truffle fries. Yummmm! Also try the lava cake for dessert..you won't regret it.

Pass this place often and never thought to go in. Glad I never wasted $ here due to your managements behavior! shame on your establishment for treating a vet the way you did. The ambiance of this spot is S H ! T GET OUTTA OSIDE.

Server Alyssa at the Pour House in Oceanside, Ca. is a good hard worker. I met some friends there recently on a Saturday night to watch music students performing in a showcase. I got there early enough to get a booth. Alyssa greeted us and she was very polite. A large Women's Social Group arrived also to watch the music school showcase. The restaurant/bar got very busy. I don't know if the bar was short handed, but it seemed like Alyssa was the main server. Many customers became very demanding. I could see Alyssa was working very hard to take care of everybody. It would have been overwhelming for anyone. I never ordered anything from the bar so I can't comment on the bartender's. However, Alyssa continued to take care of us. The new food menu was very good and they had good beer on tap. I wanted to give proper respect to, Alyssa, a good server who was working very hard to take care of a lot of people in a hole-in-the-wall bar, that might otherwise get overlooked. God Speed

This place is awesome! I try and make it here every Wednesday for open mic night, lots of amazing talent coming here. Also lots of shows throughout the week, Love this place! Great bartenders and door people.

Okay I was super happy about this place. It's walking distance to our house here and definitely recommend. The menu is super whimsical and fun. I ordered the bahn mi and even though it doesn't have meat on it, it was absolutely delicious! The angry rooster looked fantastic as well and Scott ordered the pork belly nachos and said they were bomb. I saw the negative reviews since covid but I didn't experience any of the negativity here. Just come here!!

They had outdoor seating available and all the tables are allow social distancing. I got the angry rooster sandwich and substituted my fries for truffle fries. The angry rooster was delicious. The chicken was cooked perfectly! The breading was well seasoned. The truffle fries were so delicious. I'll definitely come back here and try the other items on their menu.

Cover fee at the door. 2 double shot mixed drinks nearly $60 Dig into savings when you want to come here and have a good time for the night.

Just tried this place last week and it was really nice to sit outside on the patio with my roommate's dogs and enjoy our meal and drinks. I tried a Moscow mule and it was made well. I had the Ahi tacos which were nice and light with a little zing, and my brother tried the Angry Rooster sandwich which he enjoyed. The truffle fries were a great starter, delicious and crunchy. Also the waitress was sweet to take care of my dogs with an extra treat of bacon which was above and beyond.

Excellent dive bar with great food and live bands! Would love to play and eat there again!
