Long time yelp reader, first time writer! Pour House motivated me to pour my heart out in praises for their food, drink, and service! First off, my friend is going through a breakup and I wanted to cheer her up, so wanted to take her somewhere new for both of us... and she wanted to take her adorable dog with her, so when I heard Pour House had a dog-friendly outdoor patio, we decided to give it a try.
First off the beer selection was great... a nice balance of all different styles of craft beer, including the Golden Monkey Belgian Tripel (which clocks in at an amazingly deceiving 9.5%) for only $5! I also had the Sweet Water 420 which I love... There were solid lighter beers as well, such as the Fin City Wheat and a Grapefruit Ale... both of those seemed to really improve the spirits of my friend in mourning. (Speaking of grapefruit, if you haven't seen the Aziz Ansari bit about 50 Cent & grapefruits, then you should check it out - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=waCF81HdKAA)
As far as food, everything on the menu looked amazing, but we decided to go with the specials for the day, and what a great choice that turned out to be! I had a chicken spinach pizza with honey sriracha sauce... and it was so tasty that I'm tempted to trek back there tonight to try it again! The doggie enjoyed the nibbles of the crust that I gave her as well :) My friend had a crab & avocado salad sandwich w/ fries and we also split some mashed potatoes - all of these items were amazing.
As for the service, it was top notch. Our server was very attentive and quite friendly... she took the time to get to know us... and our little dog too! Ahahahaha! Sorry, I had to do that. Anyway, our server was on top of every request we had. I believe her name was Eve? or something like that... I know the name had an E and a V in it... Evette? Eva? Evelyn? Evita? Evervescence? Oh well, guess I'll just have to go back!
My only complaint was that the urinals in the bathroom were very tall... I'm about 5'9, and without getting into all the details of my dad bod, I'll just say that I almost had to get on my tippy toes! Sorry this whole paragraph is prob tmi.
To summarize, I was pleasantly surprised with this establishment, from the succulent suds to the savory snacks to the sensational service, we were sent home simply satiated! Okay, I'm sorry I love alliteration too much...
