This is a family owned Guerrero, Mexico styled restaurant. Their sister location is in downtown Tijuana, Mexico so you can imagine the authenticity of the food. It's no wonder people would line up outside for this place!!! It's easy to order for takeout now during Covid. The place only has about 15 small tables anyways so I would order for takeout even prior to Covid regulations.
Their signature dish is the pozole soup, which is pork and fermented corn (hominy) in a spicy broth. You can choose from three sizes: Junior, medium/regular and large. You can get it non-spicy if you can't handle it by asking for the white pozole. I recommend the original red pozole though as it tastes just like your grandma cooked it with love! Absolute mouth watering tender pork and soft hominy in every bite. I would rate the spiciness of the red broth at a 5.
I also love ordering the patitas de puerco or pickled pig feet. They're drenched in vinegar satisfying your craving for sour and tart deliciousness.
I've also tried their other menu items such as the combination #1. It comes with a green chicken enchilada, chicken sope, shredded beef tostada and fried potato rolled taco. Everything is topped with shredded lettuce, fresh tomatoes, avocado slices, Mexican cheese, and homemade sour cream and salsa. Everything is PACKED with meats. The meats are so juicy and tender I can't even explain how savory each bite is; you have to try them! I love how they use real corn tortillas and not imitation corn like Maseca.
You won't find a more delicious and accurately authentic Mexican pozole anywhere else in SoCal, so you best try this place out.
