"For well over a decade, Mexico City native Angelica Maria Solis Zamudio has been serving Tulumenses gorgeous plates of antojitos chilangos at her open-air fonda. Diners fill the house at lunch for pozoles in zesty red, pure white, and green (the last made with earthy pipian verde), which all come with an array of diced onions, shredded cabbage, sliced radishes, oregano, toasted chiles, fiery salsas, and tortilla chips. While hot soup may be the furthest thing from your mind in the Quintana Roo heat, they’re precisely how Mexicans cool off. If you want to go another route, enchiladas and chilaquiles come in blankets of flavorful red or green salsas, sliced by slivers of white onion, cool Mexican cream, and generous powderings of salty, white cheese." - Bill Esparza
Service was fast, and although the place was small it was lively. Great music and we were frequently checked on. Amazing food at very good prices. Had the nopal and rajas quesadillas and the chilaquiles. With the salsas, it was so delicious and spicy! We also got the flan to go and it was fantastic. Not too sweet, and very tasty. Also got the juice which was made from fresh fruits. Lovely!

It was my first time trying pozole and I'm glad it was at this restaurant :)
I had the red pozole with chicken and avocado (not pictured because it was ordered separately). I enjoyed customizing the soup with the fixings (onions, beets, lettuce, lime, etc.) and appreciated the complementary chips. The staff was helpful and the food came out quickly!

Excellent pozole: choices of verde, rojo, blanco and one other one. Served with all the appropriate accoutrement of diced onion, sliced radish, limes, oregano and shredded lettuce. For a bit more you can also add avocado (a whole one, sliced), crema, queso. Great homemade tortilla chips as well.

One of the best local food you can get in tulum. We went there two days in a row for their pozole. But everything else looked yummy as well.

This place is the real deal. Great local fare at a reasonable price. The Pozole is fantastic, the mole enchiladas stuffed with cheese are delicious and the lime cucumber agua frescas are large and refreshing. Great place, don't miss it.

No frills authentic pozole soup. Most people come to Tulum for the fancy restaurants, but this is the good stuff. Outdoor seating no aircon so be prepared to sweat a bit, but it’s worth it. Location is easy to miss if there’s cars parked out front. I eat here at least once a week. I always get the green pozole as it’s special, but it seems the fan favorite is the red. Medium is more than enough to fill you up but if you want something special order a sopa. If there’s 4 of you order a mole chilaquiles to share.
You’ll see lots of locals so you know it’s the good stuff. Also as friendly on the wallet as can be. Service is always fast and super friendly. LUNCH ONLY!! Make sure you don’t miss this experience!!
