I lived here for 3 years and here are my views on these apartments: THE POSITIVE -This is the perfect location if you are an Indian student. Large community of South Indians living here. -About 15 minutes away from downtown. There is a bus stop just outside the apartments. Super convenient. -There is a university near by as well. -There is the trolley/subway just behind the apartments, within walking distance. -The Hub: a very cool common area for the residents with 2 floors of gym space, an outdoor balcony with several grills and sitting options this area is only open during spring and summer, party area with a pool table and private study rooms. Every now and then management puts together fun parties with food and drinks for the residents. -Maintenance is outstanding! There are usually 3 to 4 maintenance men for each building and they are very fast and resolve any issues within hours or at the most a day. I really appreciate how clean they keep the buildings, they do a great job!. -Each apartment has an outdoor little park/nature area we’re the residents can go and sit and relax. They also offer small grills for outdoor cooking. -The apartments have a lot of closet space. THE NEGATIVE: -Management doesn’t really resolve much when it comes to needing their help with something. -The apartments have automatic heating systems winch the residents have no control of. This is very frustrating because there are days where the apartments feel like an oven! It can get super hot and on very cold days it will feel like it’s not even heating at all!. That part is definitely something that I hated while living here. -The Paint they use for the apartments chips very easily, in fact in the kitchen little flakes of paint would constantly be found in our pots and pans, plats and cups and we would always have to be careful not to let any get in our food while cooking. -The parking is NOT FREE, you will need to pay to have your car in the apartment lots. The system they use for payment is ridiculous and can be very frustrating to deal with. Overall I enjoyed my stay here but I do feel that these apartments are more suitable for students.

During my time living in this complex, I have experienced serious security, hygiene, and management issues. Packages go missing or are stolen almost every day. In common areas, strong food odors come through the ventilation system; fire exits are used for smoking, and there is a persistent odor problem in the elevators. The presence of insects with antennae inside the apartments is extremely disturbing from a hygiene perspective. This issue has been reported multiple times, yet no effective or permanent solution has been provided. The most critical issue is the lack of security. There is an ongoing concern that car windows may be broken and valuables or even vehicles stolen. Although it is stated that there is 24/7 security, there are serious observations suggesting that security services—especially at night—are not actively or effectively provided. Additionally, threatening notes and messages have been left within the complex. Photos and visual evidence of these incidents are available. Another major problem is inconsistent pricing practices. The prices initially quoted are later changed, forcing residents to spend days proving that they are right. Even when it is clear that the resident is justified, they are still made to go through unnecessary efforts to have this acknowledged, while no one takes proper responsibility or shows sufficient interest. Unfortunately, many employees demonstrate a lack of ownership and accountability when it comes to resolving issues. Requests are often dismissed or delayed, and follow-up is inadequate. I have been directly affected and harmed by these issues and no longer feel safe living here. The purpose of this review is not to defame anyone, but to clearly present real experiences, encourage the responsible parties to take action, and help current and potential residents make an informed decision. I hope others do not have to go through the same experiences.

The apartment location is good. However, there are several areas that can be improved: 1. The maintenance personnel who usually visit after a request appear/seem to be non-technical in many cases. Most of the time, they suggest temporary fixes or advice rather than providing long-term solutions. In some instances, they directly blamed the residents for issues that were not caused by the current occupants. During one maintenance visit, we were told that if a technician were to come, the office would charge the residents $500. I would suggest that maintenance staff be more technically trained, resident-friendly, and professional so that we can live peacefully together in this community. In other apartment complexes, I have seen technicians arrive promptly and resolve issues with long-term solutions. Their behavior was professional, and management relied on resident feedback, which made residents more satisfied. 2. There should be a strong and meaningful review system after maintenance services and office visits. By “strong,” I mean that resident feedback should be seriously considered for staff performance evaluation and improvement. 3. Office visits are often stressful for residents. Even for small concerns, it can take a couple of hours to be seen, even when there are no long queues. Sometimes, resolving a single issue requires multiple visits because it was not addressed properly the first time. Office staff could be trained to be more efficient, proactive, and solution-oriented. 4. After every office visit, residents should receive a follow-up email within the next day. This email should not be generic or automated; instead, it should clearly address the issue discussed and outline the next steps or solution. 5. During winter, the heating system does not work reliably. This is one of the most serious issues in the complex. We experienced extreme cold and were unable to sleep for several nights. This issue was not limited to our unit; several friends living in different units experienced the same problem. After submitting maintenance requests, staff arrived after two days and only cleaned the bottom portion of the heater before leaving. They suggested removing the AC unit, but since the AC area was already covered, this was unnecessary. 6. When Amazon packages are delivered downstairs, there is a high risk of theft or tampering, which has happened multiple times. When we informed the office, we were simply advised to use the “Fetch” delivery service instead of addressing the security issue. Residents should feel confident about the safety of their packages and overall security. However, the authority did not seem to take care of this in the mailbox area. 7. Parking is a serious issue, especially for buildings closest to the office. Residents in these buildings often have to park near the last building due to the lack of nearby parking spaces, while other buildings appear to have a greater number of accessible parking spots. This becomes a big issue in the winter times. 8. On one occasion, a maintenance person entered our unit using his key without knocking, while we were inside. When we asked why he entered, he said he thought there might be a maintenance request, although we had not submitted one. He later stated that he had entered the wrong unit by mistake. This was unexpected and concerning for us. 9. The glass windows should be cleaned regularly, at least once a month. From the outside, the buildings often look dirty. 10. The apartments could be improved by adding dishwashers (except possibly in studio units) and proper ventilation, both of which are currently absent. Despite these concerns, there are some genuinely good and helpful people in this complex, including a few supportive office staff members. I sincerely hope that management will address these issues to make the community more resident-friendly and foster a happier living environment. I would be happy to update my review to five stars once I see thoughtful and effective solutions implemented in response to these suggestions.

WARNING: DO NOT MOVE HERE!!! TRUST THE OTHER REVIEWS!!! ALL THE POSITIVE REVIEWS ARE COMING FROM PEOPLE WHO ARE JUST VIEWING OR MOVING IN. The leasing agents incentivize it. My mother moved into Prairie Shores in 2019 and moved out in early 2021 but moved back later that year in October. There were minimal charges after the first move out in 2021, just from a TV Mount. The move out this time around?! Apparently $3000 in damages that they neglected to notify anyone about!!!! We found out via a collection agency!! I don't think they know that it's illegal. But let's start with the basics... Prairie Shores is a NIGHTMARE. There are roaches everywhere. Yes EVERYWHERE - in the common areas, elevators, and of course the units. The bed bug in the bedroom was the final straw. My mother's car was stolen and a tree from the property fell on it. The appliances are cheap garbage. They haven’t been remodeled since what looks like 1990. The cabinets have years of old paint on them. Cat hair and dust sit on the heat grates. There was a man who lived in my mother's hallway who had several police reports/calls on him whom Prairie Shores, FOR YEARS, did NOTHING about. The pipes are eroding, and there will be visible amounts of rust in your water. They can't keep the apartments properly heated in winter and give you A/C units that you must kick to stop sounding like a car with no exhaust in the summer. The storage unit flooded TWICE. Neither time did they alert my mother and/or fix the problem. (ALSO, ILLEAGAL). They NEVER answer the phone. Hot water in the shower is a luxury. Only 15% of the laundry machines work at one time and is Latoya there still because no one wants her job or? But I digress. The Move-Out Charges $600 for 2 closet door replacements of which I can GUARANTEE, that if there was any damage done to them, it was not a result of the tenant. $700 to take down peel and stick wallpaper and to re-paint and patch the holes in the wall from the 2 TV mounts. Including pictures of the wallpaper already falling off the walls in the explanation... Was a great touch. $1500 to take up "peel and stick" fake tile in the kitchen and hallway and replace ALL the flooring in the unit. I took up and changed that flooring TWICE. The floor looked the same under it each time. Just as RAGGEDY as it was when she moved in which is why I put it down. The carpet is extremely cheap. I can't imagine them not changing it after each tenant. This is AFTER a 30 percent discount because she lived there for 3 years. Prairie Shores has been a nightmare from start to finish. From the poor living conditions to the outrageous move-out charges, it's clear that they do not care about their tenants. Do NOT move here. Trust the other reviews and save yourself the trouble.

I m a resident of building 2851. The worst among all. I had to go back to office 6 times on the day of my move in because the fobs they gave me was not working. I had to swap the fobs 3 times because they said they are waiting for new fobs and refurbished ones are available. When i walked into my apartment, worker was still working and fixing things inside. It should have done way before my move in . There laundry room is terrible. Water and soap is leaking from machine and they put boxes on floor to cover it. I got my mailbox key after 8 days. And all this time prairie shore has unauthorized access to my mailbox. Don’t move in with them unless you absolutely have too.

I lived at Prairie Shores for almost two years and ultimately had to involve a lawyer to terminate my lease due to unresolved habitability and building code issues. I experienced many extremely distressing issues while living here, but here are the highlights: • Water leak from the ceiling caused wall damage that required repair • Recurring roach problem, even after multiple pest control treatments • Bedbug issue during my tenancy that was extremely distressing • No heat during the coldest week of January 2024, with no urgency from management • Bathroom vent non-functional for two years, a 311 report was made — this is a building code violation • Water bubbles in the bathroom ceiling and buildup in the A/C unit raised concerns about possible mold • Ants got into food on multiple occasions • Laundry machines frequently out of service, with several broken at once • Phone calls and messages to management often went unanswered • Despite a formal letter from my doctor recommending I vacate due to health concerns, management refused to release me from my lease • I was only able to end my lease after taking legal action I have documentation and photos for many of these issues. Based on my experience, I would strongly caution others before signing a lease here. UPDATE: Prairie Shores sent me to collections for “unpaid” rent after my lawyer legally ended my lease with them due to building code violations. Prairie Shores uses an illegal method of sending their past tenants to collections, as they failed to give me written notice or an itemized bill stating the charges requested. They sent a bill, unknown to me, straight to collections which is illegal under the FDCPA. I am not the only person this has happened to, so if they also use this illegal method on you, request that collections validate the debt, as is your right under the FDCPA. Prairie Shores seems to think they are above the law. My advice to tenants is to make sure you are aware of your rights as a tenant, and to exercise those rights to not be taken advantage of. In conclusion, DO NOT RENT HERE.

The maintenance team was courteous, respectful, and highly professional throughout the entire process. They arrived on time, clearly explained the work being done, and completed the task efficiently while maintaining a clean and orderly workspace. Their professionalism and attention to detail made the experience smooth and reassuring.

Google
horrible communication from the management team. im actively experiencing a leak from the ceiling in my bedroom that has been going on for HOURS. i put an “emergency” maintenance request in and have been calling the “emergency” number since 6pm and nobody ever answers or responds to the voicemails (i’ve left 3). i go upstairs to see if the people above me have a leak and the entire floor above me is flooded. nobody notified me of anything and nobody is answering any forms of communication. i’ve called and emailed in the past about the heat and it took me having to go to the office to remind them that it doesn’t feel like the legal heat limit of 68 degrees. when the maintenance team finally came they said my heat was at 55 degrees. this was during the recent polar vortex, mind you. i’m leaving this bad review in hopes they’ll finally help me.

Yelp
I will keep this nice and simple In 2019, my apt contained mold, water in the walls, and my apartment was flooded. Per leasing agreement, they have 14 days to fix this or they have to terminate the lease. This was never done So they illegally sold debt to a 3rd partt that should have been cancelled. I NEED A MANAGER TO CONTACT ME WITH 30 DAYS OR YOU ALL WILL HEAR FROM A LAWYER

Yelp
If I could choose negative five stars, I would choose that. My family and I moved out of Prairie Shores in August 2023 after being assured by the staff that everything was in order and no further charges were due. However, we recently discovered a $501 charge reported to a collection agency, which severely impacted our credit score. We received no prior notice or explanation for this charge. Despite having documented proof of our apartment's condition and clear communication with the management, Prairie Shores proceeded with this unfair and unexpected charge. This experience has been distressing and disappointing. I searched different apps and found that many residents who lived in Prairie Shores experienced very similar issues. This led me to wonder why and inspired me to write about my experience, hoping people learn to collect all evidence to fight for themselves (Update): I called the number that the Prairie Shores team left in the Google Map review, and guess what? The phone number is wrong and not in service. This further indicates that Prairie Shores does not want to solve the problem.

Yelp
I lived here for 3.5 years and would not recommend it to even my worst enemy. It is infested with cockroaches and staff does nothing. They do not offer subletting options if needed. There is black mold in the bathrooms that they just paint over. I had no less than 15 packages stolen within the first year I lived there, my boyfriends car was also stolen and they did nothing to help, not even let us review security footage. Letoya Carter, Crystal Stoke, Jordan Thompson, and all other associated staff are incompetent at best. Like other review say, you have to literally beg them to pay attention to you and give any sort of assistance. They break their lease terms and demand payments that are noncompliant with lease agreements. The unrenovated units are not livable conditions.

Abagail D.

Yelp
THE WORST!! Management is the worst! The individual building manager that handles maintenance etc is the best. But the actually leasing office and management are the worst. Do not waste your time, energy or money moving into this place. I can't wait to move out. They are money hungry. Your car will get towed even if it's registered to the lot, they will find a reason to tow you. Honestly the worst. It's hell living here and I cannot wait to move TF OUT!

Akmaral U.

Yelp
Wish I could give negative stars. Lived here through grad school, years 2017-2020. Building is just OK, somewhere to sleep I guess, nothing special, very old and ran down, i thought it was affordable for the square footage. The entire time I lived there, there was a horrible ant infestation that the building couldn't suppress. Was too lazy to change apartments. Really should have. Moved out in April of 2020. Filled out all paperwork, surrendered keys. Over 4 years later, I get a 50-80 score drop on my credit report for 108 dollars i didn't pay to Prairie Shores many years ago. Not a single attempt to contact me, not a single indication that something was due was communicated to me. Not a single email, voicemail etc was returned when I tried to contact them. Collection agency also did not bother to contact me. I really would recommend to run away from this place.

Yelp
If you are new to Chicago and trying to find a place to live, please do not live here. I'm a student coming from CA so all I did was look at virtual tours and thought that was enough. Ultimately, it's on me, but I've learned to realize how awful this place is. First off, the leasing office is the absolute worse at communicating. It look me like an hour to get my keys when I moved in and then weeks to get my mail key. I've had mail stolen from me and have heard that's common here. The people that live here always smoke weed so get used to your unit constantly smelling like someone hot boxed it. Even though it's an obvious violation against the lease to smoke inside, the property management does absolutely nothing to enforce anything so people just do whatever they want. They have a security number but every time I've called them, nothing is ever resolved. Please don't move here. It's absolutely worth spending a little more to stay away from this poor quality apartment. I can't wait for my lease to be done.

Eb S.

Yelp
Been living here since 2022 and I can't wait until my lease is up I travel out of the country a lot so my girlfriend takes flights from California to Chicago to make sure my rent is paid on the months I'm away I just received a call from my neighbor saying I have 3 notices on my door, I've tried calling no answer my girlfriend came here to speak to them the first notice in February to show rent was paid she's not on the lease they can't answer her questions I'm on the lease and every time I get service to talk no answer or they're closed.. we will be trying again tomorrow I'll leave another review

Edward B.

Yelp
Prairie shores seems to not value senoirs. There is rampant car crimes, and unauthorized car towings. The management doesn't have time to help seniors because there overworked. Signing up for anything is an online nightmare. It's not the workers, its corparate mentality that doesn't value people. Edward à tenant

Yelp
If you are looking to live somewhere convenient this place is it. If you want to deal with respectful, courteous, and professional leasing and management staff run and run fast. They are a living nightmare. If Golub and Company wants this property to flourish after building this brand new Hub building for the property residents to enjoy they would start making some much needed staff changes. Human resources need a overhaul at this property ASAP.

Denise B.

Yelp
Needed new lighting hardware called my maintenance support team and had a rich response so quickly it surprised me. Very happy it worked out because I had something to do the same day. Truly a blessing, I had an easy day ahead. Mission accomplished. Thanks Engineer WMc and N. God bless.

Yelp
I lived here for 10 years and while I moved out in 2019, reading a few of the reviews tells me some of the building's issues remain. Despite this, and having lived in multiple apartment buildings around the South Side, I can tell you this place isn't any worse than those were. My complaints: - elevators in my building were old and slow, and had been poorly rehabbed inside, but usually worked fine. - laundry room has machines that were brand new just like 3-4 years ago. The reason they break is because a lot of residents don't use them properly (use the non HE detergent, force doors open during operation, add extra water, etc.) I saw this happening myself and the one time I tried to explain it someone wanted to fight me over it for "not minding my own business". It also seems like the dryers weren't properly installed because my building had small fires on a couple of occasions resulting in full laundry room shutdown. - I had a couple water issues in my apt but both times were a result of a neighbor overflowing their tub or toilet or whatever. - Cable used to be included in rent, but they took that out a year or so before I moved. - I can't really speak to current management as I only ever dealt with Draper and Kramer, who sold to Golub just before I moved out. The management office people back then were nice and mostly helpful. - There were constant issues with package theft from the lobby mail area. The mail carriers won't deliver packages to the property's package room at 2801 so you have to go to the post office and stand in line forever. Compliments: - The buildings are very solid. I lived there during snowmagaeddon and a variety of huge storms and was always safe and dry. - Parking! There isn't another rental property in Chicago of this size who lets you park in a dedicated lot essentially for free. - The maintenance crew were always responsive to problems I reported and were nice guys as well. - The views from the higher up apartments are amazing. - rent is about on par with similar buildings. - one of the few places that lets you have a pet. Suggestions: - These buildings were constructed in the 1950s. They are ready for more than just simple cosmetic updates. The elevators all need to be upgraded to new high speed units. - go back to including basic cable tv in rent and add a basic tier of internet. You can negotiate a much better rate in bulk than individual residents will obtain piecemeal. A small bump in rent would be acceptable. - each building needs its own package room accessible by residents. It doesn't need to be staffed, just a place for the mailman and UPS to leave packages, with electronic access, large locked cages and video cameras to prevent theft. Every building used to have a cleaners (now vacant) that could be used for this. Easily accomplished with the coded electronic keys everyone uses or with block-box style USPS keys for the cages. - pharaoh ants have been a periodic issue in these buildings for decades. The exterminators need to be more proactive with whole building treatments and bait stations to get rid of them once and for all. Overall, you could do a lot worse at a large residential rental building in Chicago.

Yelp
Maintenance is usually pretty great in my building, but lately, it's been sloppy work and I've been finding myself cleaning up after their work, whether it's cleaning up the paint they got on the wrong wall or cleaning up the bad sealant. Residents here are not respectful, they steal each others packages and break/steal cars - management doesn't do anything about it. This place is not horrible, but I hate living in a place where our opinions are not valued or constantly being told "there is nothing we can do".

Yelp
The service was very prompt. The gentleman who put the light up for me was very kind and professional

Yelp
The maintenance team in my building 2801 are Awesome! Whatever issue I have they always take care of it in a timely manner. For the new laundry room machines and app to use I even had the maintenance manager Lamont show me exactly how to use it on my phone. He took the time to make sure I knew what I was doing and I truly appreciated that. I am not the tech savvy person as some of the younger folks are. I don't know about the other buildings but the folks in my building are friendly and helpful. Always speaking and I use a cane now so someone always holds the door in the lower level open when they see me coming. This is the 3rd complex in Bronzeville we have lived in and by far the BEST!

Angel A.

Yelp
I moved in June if 2022. I actually love it! I don't have any bugs lol. The building is always clean! Maintenance has been superb! it is a lil pricey lol but my overall experience is I really do like it.

Eileen C.

Yelp
I received good service. I have always had prompt service. I have lived at Prairie Shores for many years. Thanks for your care.

Gbemmy M.

Yelp
If ur looking for an apartment to live , DO NOT TRY THIS APT! It's not a suitable place. 1) Management are so rude! 2) Increment for house rent is way too much from $1700 for 2bedroom to $2100) without doing any positive thing to the apartment that requires increment. 3) They always tend to repair hot water every time, depriving renters of showering/ cooking when needed especially when going to work. Sometimes, they will send email saying the whole water shunt will not be working for a certain period; tell me how are we supposed to get set for our daily activities? All they are concern about is the money.

Chenxian X.

Yelp
Insecurity of the neighborhood. I just found out that someone that I don't know entered my apartment and moved my stuff. The management office does NOTHING about it. This place is really crazy and unsafe! Don't rent this place!

Michael S.

Yelp
Absolutely terrible leasing team. I have left multiple messages, called multiple times during different times of day, and I have not gotten in contact with the leasing team. After reading the reviews, I cannot say I am surprised.

Yelp
So it has been 5 months since I posted my last review and things have not gotten any better. Today I woke up to my lock being unlocked. Apparently there was a new wifi service being installed and they needed to come in. 1. This building does not call you to make an appointment or arrangements so they can come in and do anything in there 2. The maintenance staff treats us as if we were children and talks to us as if we are children 3. The maintenance staff feels like they have the right to come inside if you are not home. They have a master key so why not right??? Lol 4. I don't care if you have something to do in there you need my permission to step inside MY apartment. I don't care if you knocked for hours if I don't open the door for you DON'T OPEN IT. I keep calling the office to get in touch with someone about it I have asked for Bonnie, LaToya, and Arieana. NOBODY ANSWERED!!! It was hard enough to get some to answer the management office phone and now this added to it is just the worst. I cannot stress enough that they have done this once before, and that there are 2 females living here, that anyone with a master key can just waltz in there as if it's their home as if they pay 1800+ to go in there whenever they please. They have such a damn urge to go in there and install the new wifi but they can't go in there and fix my roommates closet (which they have been "fixing" since we moved there" Overall they are so unprofessional both the management team and the maintenance team. DON'T RENT HERE!!!!

Tammia M.

Yelp
I have been here for only a full month and I have seen 4 roaches already an one thing about me is I hate bugs not only that it's ants everywhere they still have yet to send a exterminator out.. then the water runs yellow in the tub and when seen first hand they told me " oh just run the water for a while and it will be ok it's the pipes and if the pipes get fixed the rent would go up a lot" not only that between 5:30 to like 7 you will be waiting about 10-20 for an elevator because only 2 works the residents also steals a lot they stole my whole couchand management office never ran the cameras luckily they sent another one out that I had sat in the lobby and waited for....with this apartment being renovated I'm VERY DISSATISFIED because this is my first apartment‍

Montinique L.

Yelp
I like the building I live in 2901, the maintenance guys are very nice and helpful whenever I call they are johnny on the spot. Thanks

Yelp
I'd give it zero stars if it allowed me to. Constant maintenance problems in this building, and more often than not it takes over a week before maintenance even shows up to fix anything. Toilets constantly overflow even when you put nothing in them. Pipes are constantly bursting and soaking the carpets. The heating and AC sucks throughout the whole year. Refrigerators leak. Certain floors and units have complained about roach and bed bug problems, which I've been fortunate enough not to have had. Management doesn't give two shits about the tenants and building conditions, and are very short and nasty with you when you call for help with something, and as I mentioned maintenance doesn't either as it takes them days to show up. For all the money you pay here, the laundry machines here seldom work, maybe only three or four of like the 12 washers in this building typically work, and only a few of the dryers actually dry your clothes. Just recently there must've been a flood in the next-door unit because the carpet in my bedroom and linen closets got soaked, damaging quite a few of my belongings and making the bedroom reek of standing water. After dialing several numbers I was finally able to get someone from maintenance over, and he didn't do anything other than tell me to "pull up the carpet and put it in the bathtub" until someone comes to take care of it on some unspecified date. Yep. His advice was for me to rip up the carpet that came with the unit myself and toss it into the bathtub. And as per usual, the management office wouldn't return any calls about it. I really only moved here because I was in such a rush to move to the city. OOPS. I would've been out of here last year, but because of the pandemic, I couldn't. Thankfully I only have a few weeks left here, but I'm still dangerously close to breaking my lease just to put myself out of my misery. Stay as far away from Prairie Shores as you can. It's a miserable dump with management and maintenance that is even worse. It's just not worth it. Screw this shithole. Moving out of here will be the happiest day of my life.

Yelp
I have had the pleasure of speaking with multiple leasing agents and management for this property. The customer service of the team is impeccable! They have efficiently and quickly answered all of my questions and have provided me with all of the information needed to make the moving process less stressful. I highly recommend this property if you are looking for a affordable, safe, clean and convenient location to live with agents and management whom actually care about their residents! Thank you PRAIRIE SHORES!!!

Yelp
My bathtub had water underneath the bottom of the flooring which made standing unsteady. Also my bedroom door's where struck and I wasn't able to move them either way. I reached out to the maintenance crew that evening. The next day when I arrived home from work, the maintenance guy informed me that my tub was fixed and that they are ordering new doors. I was so happy about everything and they took care of it so quickly. I truly enjoy living there. Thanks guys for all that you do.

Yelp
Don't live here!!!! The management offices is so terrible they don't care about your rent or any payment so they just chargin anything for you if they want and if you try talk about what happen, what you want its a doesn't matter of them also they just hang off the phone or don't listen to you! Im so feel bad about that. They are just eat your money don't do anything! God bless them!!!!

Yelp
DON'T LIVE HERE !! I found a collection from Prairie Shores in my credit report recently. I called the collection company, they told me this is the utility bill I owe in October 2016, which is the month I moved in. I had not received any notice about this bill from Prairie Shores during the days I was there, and the collection company never contact me and then gave me a collection directly. I doubt that the bill is even not to me, it has a joint responsibility person that I don't know. Disappointed with the management of Prairie Shores they're so irresponsible!

Yelp
unfortunately i happen to be a dumb ass for moving into this building. during to this stupid covid-19 i'm forced to stay. soon as we get free im moving the fuck out of here. again this company (golub) dont care about anyone. nothing but issues since feb 15, 2020 and they get worse as the months go by. this is a poor building, they charge $1500 due to the area because the units are very old and everything is vintage ( per management office and maintenance staff). i cant wait until the city of chicago is able to come out. last time they paid the i spector this time you wont be able to do that because they are aware. see you not going to treat me any kind of way and think you will get away with it. the leasing office dont communicate with management and vice versa. i have nothing nice to say about this building at all. im not the only one with complaints, but the only smart o e to complain. such as people saying they shower smell like raid, no heat, the management dont do anything, the halls and elevators are dirty and smells and when tell maintenance they do nothing. no one is ever at corporate office and the manger bonny is never in the office or at the building. i hate hate hate i moved in this sorry as building and i hate that someone didnt warn me. all the windows are painted shut like you in jail somewhere and havent been clean on the outside in years.
