Prego Review - Rice Village - Houston - The Infatuation
"Prego has been serving Italian food since the ‘80s and has the feel of rewatching your favorite sitcom—it’s a predictable comfort. The diners, who are mostly regulars, seem to know what to order—and are usually snuggled into their tables with a plate of veal scallopini dusted in fresh parmesan. All of the surprises get saved for the end of the meal when a parade of rotating desserts gets showcased on a cartoonishly large wooden board (fingers crossed that they haven’t run out of tiramisu)." - Gianni Greene
Fantastic outdoor seating in a beautiful part of Mexico City. Menus are available in English, and while the servers speak limited English, pointing to your choice works just fine. The food was excellent, and the service was very attentive throughout. Highly recommend the chocolate cake with vanilla ice cream for dessert—absolutely delicious. Prices are very reasonable.

Great vibes however the Italian food is really subpar. mussels were frozen kind and chewy, the seafood linguine is all frozen seafood/or not fresh. The service was hit/miss would not recommend given high prices

The food is good, the bread ah y
the bread was delicious, all the other main dishes were all good, but I wouldn't say it was great because the price was very high in terms of what it consisted. We paid a little over 3000 pesos for four people. The service was good but lacked genuineness, it felt like all they wanted was to offer was to jack the bill up.

Amazing ⭐️ best truffle pasta ever! So light and fresh- as if made by angels 😇 the staff was incredible also. I saw a stray cat lingering by the steps and asked the waiter for a tiny dish with milk for it, and he rushed back with a small plastic bowl with an inch of milk for me to feed the kitty 🥰 so kind 🖤 best meal and service so far in the city. Mucho Gracias Prego!!!

Amazing food, if you want a great place to it, local, cozy and with an among customer service THIS IS THE PLACE.
Our experience was great in terms of attention from staff, food and drinks, also the ambiance is really cozy and seems like home. I would recommend this for a date or a family meal, either lunch or dinner is amazing. We ordered the lasagna which was DELICIOUS, one of the best I’ve ever eaten and the pannacotta was also out of this world!
