Google
Great all the way around! We stopped there for a weekday lunch on a family trip. The food and service were great; I got a crawfish enchilada with salad, my wife and daughter got a catfish meal to split, and we got the 3 variety gumbo for a starter. The food was delivered quickly, and our waitress checked on us periodically throughout the meal. It's definitely a stop on our next travels through!

My husband and I met my parents in town for the weekends and my mom always raves about Prejean’s. We came for dinner and it was AMAZING! The appetizers were fantastic and so was our meal! We sat outside since we had my dog but it was shaded cool and relaxing. Vivian was our server and she was phenomenal, she was attentive to everything and everyone, including my dog! She was great! We will absolutely be back!

Google
Overall the food was great. The green beans weren’t bad, but just not to my liking. Pork Ribeyes were tender, well done, yet still juicy. The red beans and rice was 🤌🏼🤌🏼. The customer service was excellent. I sat at the bar and the young lady checked on me often and also asked how I was liking the food. Wish the. Brownie had a bit more ice cream especially for the price. It was mostly whip cream. Will definitely comeback and try another item from the menu.

Google
We got the threesome gumbo and the red beans and rice with the pork chop. It was all very good, but the gumbo and green beans were amazing! I could make a meal of just the greenbeans, they were so good.

Google
Wow! Just pulled into town and followed my gut to stumble onto this gem. Excellent service, tasty food (grilled oysters amd shrimp) and a wicked Old Fashioned using Louisiana whisky (Rare Stash). I hope I can corral my team to return here at least once during my stay. Can't wait to try the Bread Pudding back at the Hotel!

Google
We brought our daughter here while she was in town on a business trip. She had the Catfish Atchafalaya and really liked it. My husband had the Shrimp Trinity. He said the fried shrimp, stuffed shrimp and shrimp & grits were good but the green beans were way salty. I had the Cajun Fried Rice and it was awful! The rice was cold, dry, and had a sour taste like it was old. The shrimp cooked in the rice was tough. The 2 catfish filets on top were just 'meh'. Couldn't eat any of it. Very disappointed.

Google
Chloe was our waitress and I think we would come back for her service alone! She was wonderful. We wanted some good, authentic Louisiana cuisine and this is it! We don't get this good food in North Louisiana 🤣 He got the catch of the day, snapper & I got the eggplant pirogue. We got the crawfish bon temps rolls, and the brownie sundae to top it all off! Spent a bit of money and it was worth every penny!

Google
I wanted to highlight some seafood dishes and a few other things from our last couple of trips to Prejean's. A few of our go-to dishes at Prejean's are the Crawfish Enchiladas and the Shrimp Trinity. Both are packed with flavor, and I would highly recommend trying. The seafood platter has so much food on it that you can eat on it for multiple meals. We do have a little turf in the mix with the grilled to perfection pork chops. Crawfish Enchiladas Shrimp Trinity - Shrimp & Grits, Fried Shrimp, & Stuffed Shrimp. Seafood Platter - Shrimp, Crawfish, Catfish, Gator, Oysters, & Hush Puppies Grilled Pork Ribeyes

Yelp
I wish they had one of these gems in Houston. It was the best food and we had a great waitress. We tried the fried green tomatoes, and I ordered an item off of their brunch menu. To die for! Cute small town vibe inside and a bunch of cute LA merch to buy.

Yelp
Prejean's Broussard location has held-up well and has become a regular stop for us. The genre is highly competitive in this region, with very stiff nearby competition. So, consistency is critical, and Prejean's has met & passed the tests. I like the basics like fried shrimp platter, hush puppies, cheeseburgers, gumbos, etc. Others in our parties have sampled the menu with great results. Our Son had a steak for his B-D a few days ago, & declared it very good. Plenty parking in large private well-maintained aggregate lot. Clean restrooms. Mercifully, the bar, entertainment, & noise are kept in a separate part of the building, so meals are enjoyed in peace. Can be very busy on Friday & Saturday nights. Mostly locals. So far, this has been a "no-miss" dining choice. Do try Prejean's. Rick

Yelp
Customer service was good, the restaurant was clean. The food was just okay. I was with a large party but the food came out in a reasonable time. We had appetizers and drinks to keep us occupied. I had the "Cat 5" Hurricane, it was juiced down, more juice than liquor. Pretty drink but disappointing. I had the 1/2 & 1/2 platter with fried catfish and grilled shrimp. I also tried the chicken cracklin and crawfish nachos. Everything was just okay.

Yelp
What a great stop. Happy they had a full bar and a great menu. Large parking lot with parking close to the entrance. We were greeted when we arrived. The decor at this establishment was very aesthetically pleasing to the eye. Lots of places to be. We chose to sit at the bar. We were greeted promptly and our drink orders taken. They Just opened so they're so the Margarita machine was not yet 100% ready, so I ordered a Long Island instead. Trying to decide on what to eat was like picking your favorite fish in the ocean. I settled on shrimp tacos and was very happy. My husband had the sampler with oysters and was thrilled with the spread. Overall great food and drinks for the money spent. Highly recommend if you are in the area. Great news the Margarita machine froze up and I was able to sample before leaving. Great start to the day!

Yelp
Fantastic experience, almost perfect! The service was very friendly and even though the server was overloaded she still checked on us, brought us refills, etc. We got: crawfish enchilada (a MUST get, an incredibly delicious dish), shrimp and grits (delicious! The grits were seasoned so it was delicious even if you ran out of sauce) and the boudin flatbread (this was a miss for us, you couldn't taste anything but the strong sauce they put on it). I would absolutely go again and recommend it to others!

Yelp
What a fabulous Cajun place. The crawfish crab cakes are incredible. Chicken Crack Crack is so delicious. Anything fried is lightly breaded, not too heavy. Duck gumbo is the best of their 3. Outside dining with the live band is great. Good music and atmosphere. Highly recommend!

Yelp
We really enjoyed having a lighter dinner at Prejean's! Service was great, easy to find and open seating on a Monday night. The stuffed mushrooms and gumbo were the star of the show. This is a great place to stop for some Cajun specialties!

Kelly N.

Yelp
Best Cajun/Creole food in the world ! Always super delicious ! Madie was our server this time. She was super nice and made great suggestions ! The catfish is so incredibly fresh ! You can taste the fact that it literally came from just up the road ! The crawfish etoufette is amazing ! Get the bread pudding fried. You won't regret it ! This location is smaller than the Lafayette location, which makes it cozier ! Service is speedy. Even bought the cookbook they have for sale up at the front. We will be back ! Highly recommended !

Yelp
The shrimp Poboy is one of the best boys I've had in a very, very long time. The french fries were cooked to perfection crispy outside fluffy inside the lettuce and tomato in the poor boy were fresh and crisp was an absolute perfect dish.

Yelp
IT'S HERE! The second location everyone has been waiting for. This prejean's has a far more limited menu than the Lafayette location, but all the favorite's remain. I got the Cowboy Catfish which was great as usual. It was pretty slow, but was also late on a Tuesday. Service was great, a lot of rollover from the previous restaurant/bar that was in the same location. Give this location some time to catch on. Their current patio is great, but they have plans to expand for their indoor music scene as well.
google avatar

Terry V.

Yelp
So after waiting a whole hour for food (they had a big party come in). I got the worst shrimp sandwich (it ain't a po-boy if it's on a hoagie roll) I've ever had. A 6" hoagie roll with 5 shrimp, half slice of tomato, and core pieces of lettuce. Just a horrible dinner. I'll only go to the Carencro place from now on.

Yelp
Met up with some friends while visiting from out of town. We had our 3mo old with us and this was the first time I've had a restaurant give us a little stool for his car seat. It was brilliant. The food was also really good. It was my first time having alligator and I could've gotten another plate for myself. Not sure what the sauce was but YUM! I ordered some sort of seafood pasta and I was too full to eat it all after the alligator bites but the leftovers were just as good the next day.

Erick P.

Yelp
Scheduled a reservation for Mother's Day. When we arrived, the restaurant said that they could seat us but it would take up to two hours before we received any food.

Yelp
Last minute lunch date and what a treat! For a great price we were stuffed when we left and pleased with the lunch portions and taste. A must dine for lunch for those on a budget yet wants to have a rewarding meal.

Yelp
My dog Lucky and I stopped here on our road trip cross country to Colorado. The shrimp po'boy was so good. the bread even better. After lunch the owner stopped by and we struck up a 25 minute conversation. Jokingly I suggested I was adopted, because that's how welcomed I felt. Highly recommended stopping here.

Yelp
Yummy Louisiana seafood. Cooked with a kick! Great service and rustic ambiance. Worth the 15 minutes from Lafayette. My mouth is still buzzing from the Catfish and Oysters!
google avatar

Jarrett J-Rock A.

Yelp
Food and atmosphere was great! Service was a little slacking due to our server having to cover our table and outside tables. Management shouldn't being making people cover two areas. We had a table of 10 so people we were constantly needing things like drinks refilled, etc., and it took them a while to get our food out because our server wasn't always around due to her covering tables inside and outside. I saw plenty of servers that could've jumped in and helped out. I only give it a 4 due to that reason. The food was on point and delicious!
google avatar

Jordan K.

Yelp
Amazing food and service. We went three times in three days during our trip. One night they accommodated 60 people for our baseball party! Would absolutely love to go back if we are in the area.

Jan B.

Yelp
Food was amazing. Got the tuna power bowl I believe it's called. Service was nice and food came out rather quickly.

Yelp
The food is some if the best in Acadiana. The ambiance was comfortable and made the entire event pleasant . I have had family gatherings and s retirement party there.

Yelp
I'm visiting from Florida and Came to the area to visit family and had the absolute most amazing lunch. Our sever, Jamie, was so personable and friendly. She made some great recommendations. My crab cake Benedict was excellent. All crab. (I only got a dab of hollandaise sauce so I asked for more which Jamie was happy to get) My cousin got the blackened catfish with crawfish étouffée...this dish should be award winning. As a foodie I've traveled around the country and this dish is by far the best dish I've ever had. Teens had chicken tenders to which they reported was the best tenders they have ever had. The crew was sweet and celebrated my aunts birthday. But thank you to Jamie for being amazing and fun. You made our time at Prejeans so much fun!!! And thank you for the house made pickles. They were....simply the best!!!! I don't know when my travels will bring me back but I'll be sure to come back.

Yelp
Food was really good! All dishes looked and tasted wonderful! Now the fried seafood, Brussel Sprouts, grilled oysters and specialty dishes were cooked and delivered hot! We went at 2pm before Mothers Day (Saturday), table for 7....

Yelp
Let's start this off by stating that 6 out of the 9 people at our table were in the service industry for over a decade, so this isn't some Karen complaint about crappy service. Absolute worst restaurant experience we have had in our lives. We made a reservation for two family members birthdays. Once we arrived at the restaurant, no one was at the host stand to greet any customers. Mind you, the restaurant was empty and it was 5:45pm. Once sat our server greeted us immediately. After our party arrived, the experience went downhill. The server when asked how the twice baked potato tasted was "it's a potato". After the appetizers our server started to be more and more sparse throughout our time there. Once again, empty restaurant. I noticed that every worker (server and kitchen staff) were all congregating around the kitchen entrance and the bar. There didn't seem to be anyone in charge at all. No GM or Assistant Manager. Once we received our food, our server never came back to the table until we were done with our food. When they asked if we would like boxes, we had to ask for them again after we saw our server playing with the birthday sparklers in the kitchen entrance while the dessert was being prepared. The bread pudding had a piece of ceramic in it as well, but that was the only thing that was free, so you know, no need to mention we almost broke a tooth over something that was given to us. The icing on the horrible experience cake was getting robbed for gratuity for a server that didn't do their job. If I assume correctly this server made close to $60-$70 off of my family's table for doing absolutely nothing other than screwing off and hanging out, occasionally doing something. Once again. Maybe 3 tables sat in the entire restaurant, and there were at least 3-4 servers. I understand when there are a certain amount of guests at a table, there is gratuity added, but that is to make sure the server is adequately paid for the service they provide. Often it's to make sure they get something for their time and work when it's busy. It was not busy, whatsoever, the entire time we were there. No one in our party of 9 will be returning or visiting the other location. I'm sad that people not from our state go here to experience our culture. I wish I could give less than one star.

Yelp
I've been to the other Prejean location in Carencro, and it always gets the job done. How did the grand opening for the Prejean in Broussard do? Honestly, the exceptional food and top-notch service made my dining experience impeccable. Now, let's get down to business regarding the food. 1. Crawfish Nacho (Favorite) Louisiana Crawfish Tails Deano's Spicy & Cheesy Cream Sauce Tortlla Chips Pickled Jalapenos 2. Shrimp Trinity (FAVORITE) Shrimp & Grits Fried Gulf Shrimp Zydeco Stuffed Shrimp Green Beans 3. Fried Seafood Platter 1/2 & 1/2 (Fried Catfish and Fried Shrimp) with hush puppies and fries. 4. Seafood Gumbo (Gulf Shrimp, Crab, Louisiana Crawfish & Rice) cup size. 3. White Chocolate Bread Pudding House-Made White Chioceow cad Puding Whiskey Butter Sauce. (TO-DIE-FOR) I definitely plan to come back here next time I'm in town. Our waitress Ally and both GM Chris and Clare did a wonderful job serving us, too. Thank you, guys, for the awesome dining experience!! #LambChopOnTheGeaux #prejeansrestaurant #broussardla #cajun #foodaddict https://prejeans.com/ 209 N Morgan Ave Broussard, LA 70518

Yelp
Excellent food. Great service. Highly recommended. I had the snapper and it was cooked to perfection.

Yelp
Food was delicious, fast service, nice atmosphere. Love this place. This the second location, there is another farther north, this one just opened in January.

Yelp
We stopped by on Friday morning and they were open. We live in Baton Rouge area but had an errand to run in Broussard so we picked this place off yelp. Very please we did. Our server Baley was great. She was very friendly and helped us choose what to order by explaining it to us. Everything we ate was great. We had the crawfish rolls and stuffed mushrooms for appetizers and bread pudding for dessert. We ordered meals to go but they were great even reheated. The place was clean and nice. If we are in the area again we will be sure to drop by.

A H.

Yelp
Yummy food! And great service from Abbie! The pork chunks/cracklins were fantastic! Shrimp po boy was full of shrimp! Etoufee was creamy and delicious!

Yelp
Yummy food! Super nice service! Would definitely recommend! Happy to have it close by!

Yelp
I thought is was pretty good - friendly staff . Very clean place . Food was good - definitely has some seasoning. Will go back and eat eat again. Only criticism I will say is the Sweet tea tasted like it needed some love . Tasted like someone stored the pitcher up with a goat foot. Other than that maybe drop that price on that 46$ ribeye ( that's high) . Much love

Yelp
The level unprofessionalism by the hostess and the manager was unreal and shocking..! Just because we asked the hostess to move us because the booth was too tight to sit in and the hostess just gave us an attitude from hell. What was the point in that?? Then when we asked to be accommodated it's as if we were asking for too much.. How wild is that??? Because she was so rude, I asked to speak to her manager who then proceeded to give us an entire speech about the rotation, bla, bla, bla - it was such an uncomfortable exchange that we honestly didn't even feel like we were a valued customer - so we left... This man came off shady.. So long and good luck with that crappy attitude just because we wanted to be comfortably seated in a booth.

Yelp
Prejean's is pricey, but worth every penny! Every time I drive through Lafayette, I stop here. The Cajun atmosphere is great, especially when there is a live band. The food and service is always outstanding.
google avatar

Yelp
I travel from Houston to Lafayette frequently and always look forward to my old faithful Prejeans right off I-10 & 49. I heard about a Broussard location and was intrigued. Stopped in at Lunch on Thursday and was not disappointed! We ate at the bar and were greeted and served immediately, bar tender was long on suggestions as was the Patron next to us. We order the duck gumbo, chicken & sausage gumbo and the crawfish enchilada. I couldn't tell the difference between the original and the new restaurant, which is all one could ask for from a titan in the industry. I was delighted to see the manager come over and introduced himself and chat with my wife and I. If you loved the original the Broussard location won't disappoint. See y'all next trip

Rajun C.

Yelp
Just left, food was not good and pricey. Had seafood gumbo, tasted like tomato soup, catfish breading fell off in chunks, Tourists may like it but a true cajun will not. Very disappointed, was hoping it would be so much better.

Ken L.

Yelp
We had supper on Thursday, December 28th. While the food and drinks were very good, this is the first time we had poor service. We were seated quickly, but it took a considerable amount of time before a waitress came to serve us, and there were only a few customers in the restaurant at the time. We kept looking over at the bar where most of the waitresses were at but could not get one to come over. When we finally got a waitress, the service was good.

Gary K.

Yelp
Second location needs help. High prices would be justified if the food and ambiance was like location #1, but they're not. Service is ok, but food was so-so and building looks like a warehouse. Not returning to this location.

Mary B.

Yelp
This place was amazing. Our server Jaslyn was the sweetest and very attentive! We had the crawfish nachos, a shrimp po boy and blackened chicken Alfredo. Our food was amazing and enough to share between three of us. I would highly recommend Prejean's to anyone I know that would be in the area. One of the managers came to greet us and I love the interaction with the leadership. Shows so much pride in their restaurant!

Stewart T.

Yelp
We had our anniversary meal here and were treated very well. The food was great and the service was extremely friendly. If you are still hungry enough to try desert after all that food, definitely go with the crème brûlée!

Heath M.

Yelp
Fantastic. Ate here for the first time last night. My waitress was awesome. She recommended artichoke appetizer. I had my doubts but they were amazing. The catfish dinner was incredible also. I will be back.

Jacob H.

Yelp
Visiting from California with my family. Everyone loved the food and service was great!

K M.

Yelp
Extremely Hot in the place to the point of being very uncomfortable. We asked the waitress about it and were told the side we were on does not cool as well. My thoughts...We are paying customers, get it fixed before seating people there. When we arrived at our table to be seated the table area was full of flies. The food is over priced and we've had better elsewhere and will not go back. We were there for Father's Day lunch. Broussard location.
