"Two friends who met while working at nearby restaurant La Mercerie have opened their own trendy bistro a few doors down, opposite the opera house. A magnificent counter adorned with zellige tiles greets guests; upstairs, the dining area is sizable. At lunchtime, tuck into a set menu, which comes at a very affordable price considering the quality of the dishes. The menu – renewed twice a month – smacks of good, modern cuisine, and features unusual combinations and trendy names such as celeriac ice cream. Hands down my favorite restaurant in Marseille! Every visit feels special — the food is always creative, fresh, and packed with flavor. But what makes Prémices truly stand out is the team. What a culinary highlight and experience. By far the best restaurant in this price range. Unbeatable in quality, taste, presentation and creativity. The entire kitchen team cannot be praised enough. The service staff are also incredibly friendly and very service-oriented. Thanks to the whole team for a unique evening.

Spending some time in Marseille since years. I’m happy to see many new places to try! Enjoying the evening en tête à tête with the sink, I was hosted by a very welcoming staff. Dinner menu is a seasonal four courses meal, with some extra options such as the black truffle. Food was great overall, some seasoning and balance improvement could be great for the chicken stock and the coffee in the starter. Great vegetal dishes, delicious meat dish and bright acidic desert. Wine menu looks neat, can’t say much about it. Worth visiting.

I want to hope this was not a good day for Premices. The 4 course menu had no cohesion. The flavours were confusing and not tasteful when combining everything on the dish. The quality of the ingredients was top, the chef very creative but the end result was lost in the process. The service needs to do a better job at being patient with their clients but still they were polite and friendly.

My family and I have spent such a good moment in this nice restaurant close to the old port. Delicious food, friendly staff, great wines, cozy atmosphere... And all of this without breaking your wallet. The dishes are prepared and served by passionate and dedicated people and you can feel it.
