"Chow down on burgers and loaded cheese fries at this Downtown sports bar. A favorite of locals, it’s also an excellent spot to catch sports on TV and drink one of Press Box’s many beers on tap." - Amy McCarthy

"Don’t be deceived by this unassuming Downtown spot, the Press Box knows how to party on game days. With TVs in every corner, including a large projection screen on the back wall, and delicious and hearty pub fare like loaded cheese fries, brisket sliders, and the buffalo chicken sandwich stacked with three melty cheeses (cheddar, jack and bleu cheese), this is a great under-the-radar option for Downtown dwellers to walk over and catch the game." - Alaena Hostetter

Very generous portions and fairly worth the price! Had a veggie burger with curly fries and a peach lemond drop martini! Loved the food and drinks! Everything was made pretty quickly and cooked to perfection!

I'm pretty sure we were charged for 2 dri KS we were never served. We came on a Thursday night and eventually closed the section we were in. Pretty much forgotten about. The waitress that left put in for a 3rd drink we never got. When closing out we told the waitress/bartender we didn't receive the last round but ended up charging us anyways. Other than this the experience was good. Food was very good. On a other note tons of people come in just to use the restroom. None of them seem to be customers. I will most likely have late night drinks somewhere else next time. We do not go out often but this experience changed where we will go from now on.

Great food and very generous portions. The burgers and nachos were delicious The server was super friendly and welcoming, she was having a baby soon so I hope everything went well for her.

I recently dined at the Press Box Grill and had an absolutely delightful experience. From the moment I walked in, the lively atmosphere of the bar set the perfect tone for a great evening. For starters, I ordered the Chicken and Andouille Sausage soup, which was a flavorful combination of tender chicken, spicy sausage, rice, okra, onions, green peppers, celery, and garlic. The medley of ingredients created a harmonious blend of flavors that left me wanting more. As my main course, I opted for the Blackened Salmon fillet served with rice and the grilled veggie medley. The salmon was cooked to perfection, with a mouthwatering blackened crust that added a delightful hint of smokiness. The accompanying rice was fluffy and perfectly cooked, and the grilled veggie medley was a colorful and delicious addition to the dish; however, the Haddock Filet and Fries was a little disappointing. The texture of the fish was overcooked and it was a tad greasy. I would not recommend. The fries were good considering. I can't say enough about the delicious food I enjoyed at the Press Box Grill. Each bite was a burst of incredible flavors that left me thoroughly satisfied. Coupled with the lively atmosphere of the bar, it made for a truly memorable dining experience. I highly recommend visiting the Press Box Grill for a fantastic meal and a great time.

Google
First and last time eating here! $12 for this, which I have to try and pick off the foil it's stuck to. Including the salad my bill was $20..WOW. Grateful there's not too many ways you can get salad wrong. To make matters worse the on duty management/owner Chris, whomever he was, sounded absolutely irritated and short with me because I made the conscience not to contaminate my body by eating foil paper mixed in with my food! With all this AND having to drive back to the place, he made sure to tell the waitresse/bartender to charge me the $3.80 DIFFERENCE for the salad I got in place of the tater tots that were NOT EDIBLE. I should have known better because as I'm waiting for my order I realized this is the same place we ordered catering for a company luncheon, were very disappointed, and we've NEVER used them again. Needless to say my lunch was a COMPLETE BUST and WASTE OF $$$$

Google
Had volleyball team dinner for 30 people tonight. EVERYTHING & EVERYONE from service, food, quality, portion sizes was excellent! Highly recommend. We've traveled alot as a team & this was one of the best experiences. Next time in Dallas, would totally return there!

Google
Came here trying to find dinner after 9pm, and being unsuccessful in other blocks. My wife got the wings, and I got the fish and chips. She said her wings were salty, and only six came in the order. My fish a d chips were a hearty portion, but the fish could've been seasoned better. Drinks were great though. And they had very reasonable prices. It's a great place to watch a game, but better food could be found around in the area.

Pros: Located in a cool spot. It’s bustling and you feel like you’re entering. Listen to the spooky story about the elevator doors. It scared me so badly. The pub is in a great location. Con’s: I wasn’t greeted with a warm welcome. It felt more like a nuisance than a welcome. I didn’t have the chance to place an order and I believe my waitress became upset. I was on a tour so we didn’t have time to order anything outside of drinks. Overall: I was on an awesome tour with Taylor and I’m happy to learn about the history. The waitress leaves something to be desired though.

Yelp
Great food and superior service. Friendly atmosphere. It's my go to when I want to watch a game and grab an easy bite.

John R.

Yelp
Food was greasy, very overpowering. Chips and queso were okay. Service was very slow and there was a group vaping on us obnoxiously the whole time. Service was also quite slow.

David J.

Yelp
Great place and food. Staff makes you feel like they are taking care of you and food is extra special. Food to order and consistent each visit. Food prices are average and drinks are lower than average.

Goldie J.

Yelp
The food was fresh and really good. We ate there twice during our short stay in Dallas. We also heard other people at our hotel say how good the food was.

Mister T.

Yelp
Came to Dallas from Houston to attend a convention. Friends and I didn't know what to eat, so we settled with this place after considering 7-Eleven. I'm gonna be so for real with y'all, this place was so good. I'm not sure if it's just because we were hungry, but this place was AWESOME. Service was great! Staff was friendly and welcoming! Food didn't take that long, but it was kind of an empty Wednesday so maybe it's different when it's busy. Food was delicious and the cheesecake was DIVINE!!! We got the caramel drizzle on it and it was absolutely delicious. The ambiance was typical of your average bar. TVs with sports games and jerseys on the wall. Very cozy and the bathrooms were clean! Highly recommend this to anyone in the downtown Dallas area! I'll definitely be coming back when I get the chance!

Justin D.

Yelp
Great place to stop in for lunch or dinner. We stopped in for lunch while at a conference and glad we did. The staff was awesome and quick to take care of us. The restaurant was very clean and the food tasted great! I highly recommend stopping by and checking in out. But make sure you are hungry!!

Kai S.

Yelp
So the food was "mid" not a lot of flavor in the food. Our server was really nice. Great guy. I did have to ask for them to garnish my Bloody Mary and I did not like that. When I order something I want it to come how it's described. My friends had multiple options they felt the food was "mid" as well. We all ate about half of our food and left. No Togo box needed. I ordered the Ruben with my sauerkraut on the side in my server brought me sour cream on the side . Lol ew, but it was funny . The restaurant was clean not loud what to expect from a typical pub

Diane B.

Yelp
Great experience overall at Press Box. Lots of TVs spaced out pretty well, service was attentive and gave great recommendations. The spicy chicken Parmesan was cooked perfectly and well spiced. The carnitas salad was so fresh & really tasty (as was the lime cilantro dressing). The staff was efficient and always smiling. Will definitely return.

Chance R.

Yelp
Ariel ...Is the best bartender in the history of bartenders... She makes the best bloody Mary on the planet!

Jeff J.

Yelp
Such a nice spot in dallas to get out of the heat & do some eating & boozing. Pretty good bartenders, mighta had to wait a lil bit for a refill but they're nice people so ill overlook that, the only complaint I had was it was kinda TOO cold up in that sumbitch! But if you're cold just step outside for 5 seconds & you'll appreciate how cold It is inside. Nice drinks, a fairly cheap juke box that I played some sinatra on & clean shitters, I hope i get to come back here next time im in Big D.

Nick L.

Yelp
For 15 minutes I stood at the bar, 3 servers looked at me and did not knowledge me or offered if ai wanted a drink, nothing. All 3 looked at me and still nothing, I smiled and nothing not even a smile back. I was really looking forward in having a drink or two and enjoy MNF for a quarter or two. They were not extremely busy, not busy to not even smile and say I will be right with you or something. I had to ask for a pen and paper to write a not and left it at the bar. There went my evening. Will not have the eager to go there and enjoy a drink. Better your game Press Box, no bueno!!

Owen F.

Yelp
We ate here on a guys trip and loved it. The food was REALLY good, the service was even better, and the prices were really fair for a downtown establishment. The menu is quite extensive with something for most guests, including soups, salts, burgers and sandwiches. I highly recommend.

Jerry B.

Yelp
Great place to watch games and have a drink. The food is better than I expected and the beer selection is awesome. Staff was friendly and attentive...

Olivia J.

Yelp
My friends and I had just gotten to Dallas for our first time and had no idea where to eat. We just started wandering and came across this restaurant. I wouldn't go by the yelp rating of this place because it's a lot better than people made it out to be. The service was good and so was all of our food. I loved my burger and the cheese fries we got were pretty good. They also have pretty reasonable prices, so that was a plus. I wouldn't necessarily come back if I'm in Dallas again, but that's just because I like to try new places when I'm in different states and would rather not dine at the same sports bar twice. If I lived in the area, I would come back to eat for sure!

Omar A. M.

Yelp
The Press Box Grill is a perfect inexpensive choice for lunch and dinner. It was so good I brought my wife and friend. My wife ordered the Chicken Parmesan, with sweet potatoes fries My friend ordered Potato Skins and Back and Blue Salad with stake. Both of the said their meals were delicious and satisfying. I ordered the Blackened Salmon two day in a row it was that good. There were a few shortcomings the stake was over good. My portions were a little light. The bathroom needs an overhaul. The good part was my server Jessy and the price is right.

Rebecca C.

Yelp
Food was ok but it took SO long. We sat outside and no one came so we ventured inside and waited 15 minutes before we just ordered takeout online. They were apologetic after finding out we ordered online, but it was not great. Food 5/10. Service 1/10.

Faith G.

Yelp
The regular Chips & Queso was really good. It had a spicy kick to it from the jalapeños which was surprising, but really good. We tore the plate up. The pork chops were delicious, if I go back here I would order it again. The mashed potatoes tasted like box mashed potatoes tho unfortunately so I would substitute it for a different side. The service was nice. The workers were polite and helpful and checked on us often. Instead of 5 stars I give this place a 4/5 just because of the experience I had. Some people came into the restaurant who seemed to know the workers (I'm not sure if they were friends or off duty co-workers) they were very loud in their conversation. One of the ladies who came in and was socializing with the workers was distasteful and speaking very loud near our table. Obviously her behavior has nothing to do with the restaurant, but that atmosphere seemed normal to the workers there.. which threw me off.

Yelp
Visiting from out of town and a guest services associate at the Sheraton Dallas recommended this spot. Excellent customer service. The vegetable melody was on point: flavorful and not overcooked. Cilantro salad was very fresh and tasty. Loved the salad dressing. Nice sized portions. I don't eat large portions of food so I had enough for next day which went into hotel fridge. Thanks for saving me from overpriced, mediocre hotel restaurant food.

Rick S.

Yelp
What a great neighborhood restaurant. Think of Cheers if your old enough to remember it. The employees make the restaurant and the food is great too. I had the Press Box Reuben and onions rings. This Reuben sandwich had a great mix of flavors and I enjoyed it. The onion rings added to the meal and the fried pickles were amazing. If your in Dallas take the time to stop by.

Kat W.

Yelp
Food was EXCELLENT. Chips and queso was excellent! Ambience was a bit loud, but it's game day, so as it should!!! Our server was wonderful and gave great tips for the area.

Ben J.

Yelp
Solid drink menu, reasonably priced food, and the Shiner Bock BBQ sandwich is amazing. Even on a Friday night, we were able to be seated quickly and our food and drinks came out very quickly.

Sandra T.

Yelp
Great place as always, love the fact that they are requiring masks to get in, safely first! Love the food and great drinks.

Nancy B.

Yelp
Horrible rude service. Waitress slammed silverware down after I asked her not to call me "sweetie" and told me I could leave. Manager threatened to call the cops on me when I told him what happened and showed him how the waitress slammed the silverware down. Waitress lied and said I dropped an F bomb. Rude service, obviously not concerned with customer satisfaction. Blocked me from posting on their social media page too. Cowards.

Cayenne B.

Yelp
The porkchop was dry the vegetables were not seasoned and the water taste like tapJalapeno Pork Chops

Jill D.

Yelp
I'm not sure this is a typical American pub but it is for Dallas. We eat here a lot with the office because it is close to our building and they never disappoint. It looks like a good place to watch sports but it has been a great place to take a candidate we are interviewing or even a client for an informal lunch. My favorite is the salmon but the fish and chips are good as well as the burger. Several of my office mates get the grilled chicken sandwich. Definitely a good place to go if you're looking for a satisfying lunch, good service, or just to hang out and have a drink watching a game.

Stephanie C.

Yelp
Came here when my usual bars were closed.. Service was mediocre, drinks were average for the place.. Will give this place another try in the near future!

Susan C.

Yelp
Great place to watch the game. Super-friendly staff, above-average food, very clean and welcoming. Order the Buffalo chicken sandwich with blue cheese for something spicy & different.

Alexia G.

Yelp
Great food and friendly staff. Huge portions! Would definitely eat there again. Recommend the club for sure!

Diondra S.

Yelp
They DO NOT have chicken pasta. It's 10:30 and they don't have a special. In the middle of downtown, unacceptable. The chicken fried chicken was bland! And the mashed potatoes that come with it. Booooooo. But the bartender was nice.

Lauren B.

Yelp
BEST BAR EVER!! literally nicest bartenders in Dallas area . So extra and go the extra mile for their customers. So fun and made my trip to Dallas worth wile. 5 stars literally all around . Amazing food and not gonna stiff you on the drinks. Matthew and Ryan were great.

Matt F.

Yelp
This place was great. The bartenders were friendly and attentive, and they had to deal with raucous Philadelphia Eagles fans, so kudos to them for keeping their composure. We got a few ice cold beers, some appetizers and food and it was all good at an inexpensive price The club sandwich was excellent and the loaded cheese fries were equally good.

Susan M.

Yelp
We had a great experience again. This is the third time we've eaten at the Press Box. The place was quiet, which was quite a change. Usually it's very busy, I guess it's because it was late afternoon on a week night. We both had the chicken fried chicken. It was crispy and nicely done. My Stella (on tap) was delicious too. The service was superb. We went back after the concert for dessert. The cheesecake was awesome.

Alex F.

Yelp
This place is a staple for downtown restaurant/bars in Dallas!! My favorite spot! I traveled to Dallas a few times a year before I moved here and if you're staying in a nearby Hilton, Weston, or other local hotel, this is definitely a place you need to go to. Good spot to get a good meal, friendly staff, 20 or so beers on tap, and AMI music jukebox for you. You'll see other business professionals working here and local regulars as well. GREAT spot for sports. ( Press box also has a HUGE projector for all your sports needs)...I came here all the time when I visited and it was the perfect blend of chill environment to get a drink but also was lively and the bar has character. Perfect launching spot to either go to bed after or go out to Deep Ellum or wherever the night takes you. When I moved here I met the bartenders and they've been nothing but solid folk to me. The staffing is steady so they work as a team and your drink and food orders always come on time. The food menu diverse, quality is solid, and my two favorite items are the pork chops and brisket tacos. Honestly, I haven't had anything I didn't like. One time my pork chop came out a little small and the bartender sent it back for a better chop- respect. The place is clean, following all the covid ish, and I have never had a bad experience here- ever. Outside dining is available (no heat lamps) but it's a great spot to chill if you have a pup or just want some fresh air. GREAT spot for people watching. All in all/ this is my favorite bar in Dallas!

Terra C.

Yelp
I'm beyond happy with this meal! The mango salmon is perfectly paired with the rice and veggies. Full of flavor

Vi G.

Yelp
Lunch w/ the colleagues. Anywhere in DT DALLAS, with a view, deserves 5 stars from me. I got the gumbo bowl, it wassss DELLLISHHHH!

Jack B.

Yelp
AWFUL place. I was standing for 10 minutes waiting to be seated while 5 of the 8 staff were laughing and carrying on and not working. Go somewhere where they treat the customer with respect.

Skyee ..

Yelp
The food was nasty, i had the spicy chicken sandwich and it was dry. The service was horrible for a party my size. Waiter didn't even ask us what we wanted to drink.

Donovan S.

Yelp
I ate here with my teammates for volleyball Nationals after we found that two other places had 1-1.5 hour waits. This place had no wait. Now I know why. When we got there the manager came by in a Texas Rangers jersey and a hat and said "How many?" We said 9 and he left and came back with 9 menus and rolls of silverware and plopped them down at the end of the table and left. Oh-kayyy, guess we're handing them out ourselves! Our server was nice and I'm pretty sure she was the only server in the place and she was hustling, it was packed. We had to wait quite a while for drink orders, but she got them eventually and they do have a good beer selection and lots of TV's so we watched the Cavs-Celtics game. We were starving so I made sure everyone closed their menus so she'd know we were ready because I could tell she was slammed. She took them and we waited a while for food too and when we got served two orders were wrong. She fixed them both quickly. The food was not great. I got the blackened salmon with charro beans and vegetable medley. My salmon portion was small, overcooked, and the spice was...off. The charro beans had carrots in them, which they shouldn't, and I don't like cooked carrots...but I wasn't sending anything back. Plus see above: starving. I ate'em. The veggie medley I liked, it hit the spot. One of my teammates' girlfriend had the blackened chicken and said it tasted like "chorizo" and said "how do you DO that?!" It was very thin and it was the same spice on my salmon. Not good. She had hatch chile mac'n'cheese with bacon...sounds great, right? It wasn't. The cheese tasted very processed and weird. Another buddy had the chicken fried steak which I am still kicking myself for not getting and he said it was pretty good. Another teammate had the loaded baked potato, which I finished for him, and it was good. Hard to mess up, but it can be done, and they didn't mess it up. I did get a $1 off coupon for my Yelp! checkin, our server had already taken my card and couldn't take it off after it had been run so she gave me $1, which was funny but I'll take it. The venue is cool and has a good layout for watching sports and a nice patio outside to watch downtown Dallas, and a good beer selection. The service was really slow and I saw another table get their menus and silverware dropped on them with a drive-by by the manager and raised their hands like "What the hell?" You can beat the wait at busier places, (you seat yourself), just be prepared to sit a while or bring a snack...

Cosmo W.

Yelp
I was here for a holiday party, so I didn't really have a meal, just some starters as snacks and beers. However, having said that, everything was excellent! The service was fantastic, especially since it was packed and we were a party of about 25. My server let me try several beers before I ordered and she was very knowledgeable about the many beers they have on tap. She was attentive and fast, no one was dry for very long! As far as food, I only had the queso dip and nachos, both were good and tasty- no complaints. And even with all the people in our party, she sorted out our checks correctly and quick- difficult especially with a packed house! I don't make it downtown that often, but I will definitely come back here!

John M.

Yelp
After dropping a lot of Money on food at the state fair and still being hungry, we cut our losses and decided to head downtown for some grub and Press Box Grill is where we landed. Super friendly service from the bartender. Great Beer selection along with a loaded menu. Being that Mexican food is our fav, we were excited to see queso on the menu...and we will say...we have tried a ton of Queso and for a sports bar...this queso was darn good. Had a bit of heat to it...chips were crisp and fresh. Wife went with the Chicken Fried Steak, curly fries and a small bowl of Chili..Again...that Chili...man that was great!..Chicken fried steak was super tender and came with a ton of fries. Mine was the jalapeno marinated Pork chop, Mac-n-cheese and fries. Chop couldn't be anymore tender and the Mac was creamy goodness. The overall visit was great and I would recommend this place to anyone

Tierra C.

Yelp
The food was great. Customer service is a 10/10. Close distance to everything downtown.

Matt K.

Yelp
One of my favorite lunch spots in Downtown. Staff is very friendly. The moment I walk in they start pouring my drink and taking my order. Food quality and options are great. Highly recommend.

Shirley S.

Yelp
In town on business and ordered delivery through Yelp, Love this option especially when the fee is lower than room service and no minimum. There was a delivery and service fee but combined it was still less than room service. I was in the mood for pastrami. Searching on Yelp for evening delivery I came across Press Box Grill. I ordered a Reuben Sandwich with fried pickle chips, A bit pricey for a sandwich but it was packed with pastrami. I didn't see an option/reminder to order mustard but it was tasty without it. The fried pickles came crisp and they were delicious. Probably why I didn't miss the mustard. Even better when I out a few in my sandwich. Almost every time I order delivery through Yelp they arrive about 15 minutes earlier than they state. That's a good thing for me!

Roanna D.

Yelp
Last week I was invited to try items from the Fall menu here. I truly enjoyed everything that we tried. I enjoyed the hospitality of the owner and the staff and I am eager to get back. I highly recommend that you check them out! I tried the following items: -Southwest Brisket Sandwich -BBQ chicken pizza -Spicy Chicken Sandwich -Brats & Pretzels I have to say every single dish was so freaking delicious but my favorite was the Brisket sandwich.. what can I say.. I'm a sucker for Brisket!!!

Jay A.

Yelp
Food was decent. I had mozzarella sticks and some chicken tenders. The service was awful though. We were in the middle of ordering our food and our waiter just walked off. He also did not check on us once or asked if we needed anything extra. We did need some extra condiments etc.

Elizabeth L.

Yelp
First time here. Came on a Friday evening around 6:30pm. Parked on the street & walked. The place was about half full. Service was really excellent. Fired pickles were good. Potato skins were about average. Food was very strange. Ordered country fried steak (which I love), but this one tasted very strange - gravy tasted like stale corn flakes & zucchini tasted like popcorn. The mashed potatoes themselves are fine, not salted. The country fried steak without the gravy is fine, not salted. But, the gravy was poured over the mashed potatoes & steak & made everything taste weird. I ended up scraping off the outside batter from the steak & the gravy from the mashed potatoes & things tasted somewhat normal again. I did end up eating more than half the plate, but I think I was eating it because I was confused on the flavor & tried to place it. Overall, service was great & vibes were good, but food was very strange. I would not recommend & I would not come back.

F M.

Yelp
I really like this place. The food is always good and hot. The service to top notch and responsive. I had the turkey club sandwich with sweat potato fries. My friend had the grilled pork chop, which was so yummy. This place adds to the wonderful experience of living downtown.

Daniel V.

Yelp
Food here is very average. I've ordered a handful of things off the menu since my office was so close. Sandwiches, salads, etc. all not terrible, just okay. Service was average also. Decent beer selection. And had a few TVs with games. If you're a Dallas sports fan, (which I'm not) you usually get a good crowd of dudes cheering for the local team. I'll go back for the beer, and occasionally a cheap appetizer.

Kimberly R.

Yelp
Enjoyed our visit! Great salad, service was friendly and attentive! Tried a few new beers and found one I loved! Great hang out... would go back

Mike H.

Yelp
Straight and simple. Cheeseburgers were good! Service was great and fast. Bathrooms were clean! I would eat here again.
