"Press Club, off Market Street, is a dark, upscale spot to get a drink without committing to a sit-down dinner with people you barely know. Colleague from Phoenix in town? Go here. We’d definitely recommend the meat plate and as many cheeses as your party feels comfortable ordering. Hopefully, you don’t have to itemize your expense reports." - Taylor Abrams

Google
Amazing coffee shop in downtown Phoenix! I didn’t even realize it was a chain until I went to leave a review and saw all of their locations. The atmosphere is fun. My latte was so good, I wanted another one for the road! My husband’s pour over was phenomenal as well. And all of us enjoyed the empanadas, so be sure to try those. We even went out of our way to visit again on our way back home!

Google
Stayed in town for a business trip and came here everyday during my stay. The honey cinnamon shaker is addictive. Their empanadas and pastries are also really good. Wish we had a press back home!

Alex L

Google
Always delicious and consistent. The empanadas are the perfect size for a morning snack. Also try their small pastries for an added treat.

Jesse Kroeze

Google
Pour-overs, single origins and their own beans - coffee snobs welcome. Great coffee in downtown Phoenix.

Simon Round

Google
There was no bad press for Press Coffee as it was a great tasting coffee. I ordered a small 8oz cappuccino and it came out as a flat white, just the way I like it. Never order a larger one as you will not taste the coffee. I will come back.

D K

Google
Bacon empanada was meh (cold, mainly egg with very little cheese or bacon) but the espresso honey cinnamon shaker was awesome and worth the trip!

Google
I come here frequently on weekdays over my lunch break to study and get a coffee. I have Celiac disease (gluten-free) and my biggest concern when ordering is cross-contamination. I've NEVER had an issue here. So far, every drink I've tried is 100% gluten free. The baristas are super knowledgeable about ingredients and extremely patient and friendly while checking. I wouldn't be surprised if the whole drink menu is gluten-free - but I haven't tried everything yet. Today I learned they even rinse the steamer between every single use, so I don't have to worry about gluten-containing alternative milk residue. The kitchen is IMMACULATELY clean. I love the atmosphere here and it's honestly my favorite coffee place.

Danny Duarte

Google
It was such a great experience here- there was only one barista for a busy Saturday. But she did the best job ever to be poised and took care of everyone with such high customer service and quality coffee drink making. The depth on coffee flavor is great. Location is cool to grab a drink and walk downtown.

Yelp
Nice interior, but the staff was unfriendly. Our main issue was the misleading advertising. Both their website and their Google and Yelp pages stated that this branch (EVB) serves hot breakfast sandwiches and empanadas, which is why we chose this spot. However, when we arrived, we were told that they don't offer breakfast sandwiches at this location--only empanadas and sweet baked goods like muffins. They had no empanadas at the time (8 AM). We're not fans of sweet breakfasts but didn't have time to look for another place. So, we ended up ordering a muffin, a croissant, and a latte. The coffee was okay, but the baked goods were overly sweet, to the point that we couldn't finish them. I wouldn't recommend this place, especially if you're looking for savory options or value accurate advertising.

Yelp
Press Coffee is a nice café that's convenient to get to from the convention center. The space is nice, too, with a good amount of seating both indoors and outdoors. They have lattes in four sizes (8 oz, 12 oz, 16 oz, & 20 oz). I tried the 16 oz, which has two shots of espresso. The flavor of the coffee was nice, with the typical dark and bitter notes you'd expect for espresso. But even though I got the coffee as soon as it hit the bar, the latte wasn't very hot. That ended up being helpful while walking around in the sun outside, but it was still a bit disappointing. That said, I'd come back to Press while attending a conference. I'd like to try their empanadas, which they offer as part of a deal with their coffee.

Wayne H.

Yelp
We were in Phoenix for work for a few days, staying at a downtown hotel near the convention center. The first thing I always do when we arrive at the hotel is look for a nearby coffee shop, preferably a local shop or chain (no offense to the Bux or Peets), for our morning caffeine fix. Press's East Van Buren (EVB) location was just around the corner from our hotel so I ordered our usual, an iced oat milk latte and an oat milk matcha latte. We both agreed the drinks were good, but nothing out of this world. I would go again, but I think we'll look for some other shops to try out as well. I will say, with so many locations in/around Phoenix, Press is very convenient and you're sure to find one near where you are. On their website, they heavily promote their mobile app, offering $5 off a first order and some points to start. Unfortunately, as you can read from the reviews in the app store, the app is terrible. I consider myself fairly tech savvy and yet it still took multiple tries to verify BOTH my phone number and email address. If you leave the app open, none of the data refreshes. For example, I browsed locations at night after all the locations were closed so it correctly indicated the location was closed and would open at 6:30am. Opened the app up at 7am the next morning and it still said the location was closed and would open at 6:30am. I had to close and reopen the app to be able to order. At best, the UI/UX is clunky. At worst, it's barely usable. The sad part is that there are reviews going back years that detail the problems with it, yet they have not invested in making improvements. Mobile ordering seemed to work fine, though only drinks are available so it isn't possible to order food. On top of that, I didn't get $5 off my first order so either I misread the promotion or it was no longer active (though still being promoted on their website).

Yelp
Went here New Years Morning. Service was friendly. Small but clean and cozy. Coffee was great and the empanadas were amazing!

Samina M.

Yelp
If you ever find yourself in downtown Phoenix, Press Coffee is a lively and welcoming coffee spot! I got myself the Hazelnut Cold Brew with whole milk. The cold brew was a bit on the sour side, but was refreshing and hit the spot. The empanada tastes almost as if it has a good quality omelet inside of it! Mine came out a bit on the harder, slightly burnt side. However, the packet of Cholula was a great addition to elevate the flavor. Overall, a cozy place to get your morning started, catch up with friends, or get some work done. Loved the decor and appreciated the friendly staff!

Sana K.

Yelp
Super cute coffee shop behind the sheraton hotel where we were staying. Many options for coffee and sweets. They also had empanadas. Very cute decor inside. Very nice staff. I wanted all the things. The mini turtle bite cupcake things were my fav! The chocolate chip cookie was really good as well.

Justin L.

Yelp
It was a hot, hot day in Downtown Phoenix. So much asphalt and so little shade. I managed to walk around for a bit, but went back to the car way before my meter expired. This coffee shop was close to where I parked, so I went inside for a bit for refuge. Press is located on the ground floor of a television station building along E Van Buren Street. I'm not familiar with the area, but I saw a few nearby parking garages if there are no meters available. They have a small patio outside with two chairs. The interior space is minimal and modern. Not the coziest place, it kind of feels like a classroom. It was fairly empty on a Saturday at 1PM, with one other patron typing away on their laptop on the counter table and another waiting for their drink to be made. The menu consists of your typical espressos, teas, pour overs, and cold brews. They also have these Shakers, which I think are just chilled and shaken caffeinated beverages. Decent amount of pastries available. Iced vanilla latte was pretty much perfect. Adequate amount of ice with just the right creaminess from the whole milk to compliment the flavorful expresso. It was very enjoyable, especially with the high temps outside. No such thing as bad PRESS!

Jana P.

Yelp
Press Coffee imPRESSed me and my friend! I loved my matcha latte and espresso shot. Great real flavor and not watered down. Plus the dessert bites were such a great addition to our coffee. My friend got a caramel shaker and for me who doesn't like things too sweet for drinks, I thought it was well done! Clean place and the staff was friendly. Loved the amount of seating as well so it didn't feel crammed and my friend and I had a nice catching up.

Anna Z.

Yelp
I was in town for work at the Sheraton nearby and walked over for a quick morning coffee. This cafe is quiet and clean, but what really stood out was the espresso. Wow! It has been a while since I tasted such high quality latte. A plain 8oz oatmilk latte from here got me smiling and loving the day.

Carl G.

Yelp
Coffee was well made, good proportions. Service was quick for me, though the line did slow a bit here and there. Great empanada! Super flaky. Employees were super nice and efficient.

Kacey C.

Yelp
This is a nice coffee shop right near the Phoenix Convention Center. I came twice during my visit. I preferred the Americano to their drip coffee. The chocolate croissant and bacon, egg and cheese empanadas were both tasty! Press is also reasonably priced for a coffee shop - $3.25 for a 12 oz. They have fun design touches like a quote wall and their cups say, "No such thing as bad press." Great branding! The staff was calm, collected and kind during busy rushes from the conference.

Lindsey H.

Yelp
Great coffee, easy order ahead on the app. Reasonable prices. I really enjoy their lattes, both hot and iced.

Tatiana F.

Yelp
Came here for a conference and was in need of something that would help me stay caffeinated during the day. I tried many latte's during my stay in Phoenix and I must say, this is the best one! I'm so happy I found this place. In terms of food, there wasn't many options. However, I got the Peanut butter power balls. Very healthy and peanut buttery - no complaints. I will definitely come here again before my flight back home!

Megan A.

Yelp
Protein plus caffeine in a "peanut butter shaker," iced latte, and a hot chocolate for the kids. Winning this Father's Day!

Lauren B.

Yelp
This is my favorite Press location! The employees are so friendly and helpful. The prices are so reasonable and they don't load up the cups with a ton of ice, which I love. It is also a nice place to get work done and doesn't get too crowded. Love it!

Lisa M.

Yelp
We had a great experience here, quick service, a really clean space, and great coffee. The service was quick and our barista was friendly as well. I got a nitro cold brew, which was roasty and creamy, even before adding milk. My husband got a latte, and the espresso was smooth and interesting, with blueberry vibes and nice foam. We liked the espresso enough to buy some beans to take home with us too. Good experience overall!

Lincoln P.

Yelp
Latte was creamy, not too sweet and espresso tasted great. Beautiful modern space, lots of dark tones l, concrete and wood. Staff was friendly and the little breakfast empanada was small, but tasty. I'll be back in October when we have an event at the convention center!

Jamie K.

Yelp
I was blown away the first time I stepped in to be able to enjoy a relaxing morning coffee at such a clean and beautiful modern design featuring simplicity and North European style. I love an environment given to mean different and itself-oriented and blossoming in an elitest fashion. If you feel like a white collar on a day of casual charting and programing, this is certainly the place for you. Dispite my long-winded introduction to its style, coffee as the main seller which I have yet commented on after about 200 words of cliche served its purpose in standard quality and upscale decoration. If you can take a look at the coffee cup in the picture, you can see how beautifully it's made. To that extent of elegance, I paid my respect and appreciation down to my heart. My ratings to a coffee place usually covers quite different criteria besides quality itself, and is included in the Service section, given the fact that most places are oriented in self servicing. And that includes seatings, charging outlets, wifi connection, and whether this place has nonsense like a machine requiring you to tip the baristas without them serving it to me...Seating is sweet, high chairs aren't usually comfortable but to follow the main design idea of the place. Charging outlets aren't there...I failed to find a place to charge my electronic devices. Wifi connection is good as I remembered. As for tippings, optional as always but as I said, didn't make much sense. I guess it's not a problem since most of the places are doing that nonsense now. I apologize for my words. This place is what's rated, pretty good to grab a coffee and visit. I do recommend this place but one thing I don't quite understand not just this place but coffee places in general that goes into chain business, and that is the very similar over-priced experience for just a cup of coffee. And to be frank, Starbucks seems a little more economically friendly for the same price. But here, cheers to the quality! P.S. Muffin was not warmed because they don't have a heating device. But it tasted delicious.

Yelp
I honestly wasn't really expecting some great coffee but just needed a close café where I was staying at. But I'm glad I stopped by here because I came here twice during the weekend! Everyone here is super friendly including the stuff and customers inside. I got the Iced Matcha Latte and my boyfriend got the Hot Honey Latte, which he absolutely loved that he came here everyday during the weekend for coffee. Their coffee is really good that I might have to buy a bag if I see it in my area or buy it online. Not only is the coffee so great but the place inside is so nice! Many were here to work, which has a nice vibe to work inside. I would be the same if I was living in the area. I definitely recommend visiting here if you want some good coffee and a place to chill at. I would want to come back here to try having their bakery and food they have available as I heard that it's pretty good.

Kevin V.

Yelp
I ordered an iced latte with regular milk, but it came with either soy or oat milk. When I asked the barista, she insisted it was regular milk, even though it didn't taste like it. She didn't offer to fix the mistake, but was quick to take my order for another one with the correct milk. Just be aware--if they get it wrong for you, you'll have to spend more to get it corrected.

Rob L.

Yelp
We're in town for the World Baseball Classic, staying at Hyatt Regency. Press Coffee is a very short walk from there. A nice walk on a nice spring day in Phoenix capped by a delicious hot latte delivered with cheer, a smile, and great service. Glad I stopped by. Plus they have a cool world map indicating the world's coffee belt and fun cups with a bold statement! (Which I would happily agree with based on my experience there.)

John A.

Yelp
Love this place! Great drinks, food and people. Must try when in DTPHX.......................................

Baba D.

Yelp
Ordered double espresso. Wait was long (15 min) due to conference traffic. Coffee is bright, cherry lighter roast kind of like Intelligentsia.

Joseph C.

Yelp
Good coffee. Quick service. Clean and professional cafe. Perfect for pick up between meetings

Justin C.

Yelp
Delicious pour over coffee that has rotating offerings. Limited bakery items but they pair well with any of the pour over. Lots of seating is available inside and provides a really relaxing place to enjoy your morning breakfast and coffee.

Rachael K.

Yelp
I really enjoyed the iced latte that I got from here. I also got a chocolate croissant and it was solid as well

Chris B.

Yelp
I went in the other day on 10/30 and ordered some drinks and breakfast food. It was a spontaneous stop after a morning outing while traveling the weekend in Phoenix. After squaring up by paying cash, I realized I didn't have extra to leave a tip. I asked the barista if I could send him a tip via Venmo or PayPal. He graciously told me not to worry about it, and that his belief was to just treat others the way he would want to be treated (the Golden Rule) and he was just focused on that and letting the results take care of themselves. I was really impressed by his wisdom and made a note that while I wasn't able to give him a financial tip, I wanted to write a positive Yelp review. May good things come his way! Oh yeah, and the Chai, the Cafe Latte, and the breakfast bites were great!

Evelyn C.

Yelp
Came back again since I am in town. Great coffee and friendly service as last time. Highly recommended if you are in DTPHX!

Amir H.

Yelp
Perfectly made cappuccino without defaulting to adding a lid. Too often coffee shops waste plastic on lids when a well made capp can hold its own without spilling. Quite atmosphere to work or relax as well as very kind baristas that complete the Press experience.

Chanele R.

Yelp
I have found a new hangout! They have excellent drinks, a robust food menu, super friendly staff, plenty of seating, and even a parking garage to keep my beloved wheels out of the Arizona summer sun. Oh, and let's not forget free, fast wifi, and their music list seems to have been taken from my own. (Basically, you win my heart when you play The Cure, but you also play Interpol and The Smiths? Yes, please!) But you come here for coffee (I mean mostly - it's 105 out and they have good a/c too). I did one of the "shakers," and I was NOT disappointed! I chose the chocolate peanut butter one, which was a creamy (yet dairy free) mixture of cold brew, PB, and chocolate, with a touch of agave, all swirling together for flavors that made me drink it a little too fast. (I'm going to get all Oliver Twisty "Please, sir, I want some more" in here.) They also offer these in chocolate or PB solo, as well as chai. And, of course, you can do regular coffee, lattes, teas, or even on tap kombucha. I didn't eat, but I have my eye on those avocado toasts. Save me a covered parking spot, I will be back. You almost make it worth working on a Sunday. (Thanks for the free WiFi!)

julie L.

Yelp
Best matcha Latte! I love my matcha latte with just oat milk and no added sugar. When I read in one of the reviews with 2 stars about the matcha latte wasn't sweet enough and the response was that press coffee uses ceremonial grade matcha with no added sugar, I was stoked! That's the way I like it! And with foam on top. Well, it was just perfect!

Elizabeth K.

Yelp
Love love love! Favorite coffer spot in Phoenix. Spent a lot of time here today working. Outdoor and indoor seating. Coffee was excellent and fairly priced. Chai wAs also quite delicious. Sandwiches A+ plenty of food.

mk c.

Yelp
Really great latte. The space is cool and was entirely empty at 7:30 on a Monday. I was stuck in Phoenix overnight, thanks American Airlines. The best thing I encountered in Phoenix was the staff and latte at Press. If I ever return to Phoenix, I'd be back!

Garrett C.

Yelp
Solid espresso, friendly staff, unique and modern interior. What more could you ask for? From looking at their setup, you can tell they know how to properly make espresso(unlike most places). Give it a try if you are walking around downtown!

Peter P.

Yelp
The best! We get our beans from them too. Their Baristas make awesome drinks! Try their iced cortados..So good!

Nicole B.

Yelp
I really love press. It's the type of place you envision in movies where you can go there on a quiet morning. Enjoy some avocado toast and a nice espresso. For not being a coffee person, I actually really enjoyed their coffee and the service.

Molly G.

Yelp
Did not care for the coffee itself.....ordered an espresso, hot. Got it on ice and threw it away. The inside is rather plan, I love a good local coffee shop the draws you in where you do not want to leave. This little place did not do it for me, unfortunately.

Kaitlyn E.

Yelp
Had a short walk to this spot from our hotel, and I do not regret! We got iced americanos with the Kenya blend espresso, and it was delicious! Full of flavor, light, bright... amazing. Will definitely be back.

Farisa A.

Yelp
I chose the little lounge chair area to study for awhile. It's not too busy yet but I'm sure things will liven up soon. One of the drip coffees of the day in mug.

Michelle M.

Yelp
I finally made it to press and I must say - coffee is delicious and the baristas are very friendly and helpful! Will definitely be coming back! I got a vanilla latte and the southwest burrito.

Christen H.

Yelp
Coffee was fresh, they had breakfast empanadas that were amazing! The staff was so friendly, we were there for vacation I recommend trying them out

Sammy G.

Yelp
THE BEST COFFEE!! I haven't had such good Latte in a long long time. I am not kidding. We are visiting Phoenix and found this coffee place on yelp and just loved it! I will definitely go back and try more drinks. The server was also really nice.

Anandi R.

Yelp
This place is clean, adorable, and quick. I love their app for online ordering and my drink has always been ready for pickup, which I appreciate in these crazy times of COVID-19. Their chai is like no other I've had, and it a delightful treat. Iced tea is reasonably priced, comes in 32oz (yay) and tastes amazing unsweetened. The staff is always friendly and smiling. A few months ago, before we moved to the neighborhood, I spent a few hours working here, and enjoyed the small friendly crowd and was never made to feel unwelcome for spending so much time. The Wi-Fi was fast enough for me to get real work done. So happy to have Press Coffee nearby!

AmberAndBobby B.

Yelp
Amazing staff excellent service. Great coffee and incredible empanadas! Very spacious with plenty of seats.

Candice N.

Yelp
Came into Press early this brisk Sunday morning on the reccomendation of a friend. Shea was awesome enough to give me a sample of Oatly oatmilk, and it was just as delicious as she praised it! I enjoyed it in a chai latte, along with bacon & egg avocado toast. I will be back! Thanks for the great visit!

Payton H.

Yelp
Super friendly and great coffee!! I spilled my coffee everywhere and the barista cleaned it for me and made me a new one!!!!!!!! I LOVE IT HERE

Semaria K.

Yelp
The Iced Chai Latte Yummm! It has a unique taste that I enjoyed so much. I like the space for hanging out with people or reading/studying. The music is chill, nice location as well.

Robert W.

Yelp
Holy God the coffee is good if you want good coffee this the place to go. Also I messed up my order and forgot to order a second Latte and they were kind enough to get me the second one in record time so the service is great too. I'm writing this as I wait for my egg burritos to arrive and once they do I'll let you know how those are. The burrito is gone and it was as good as the coffee. I'm contemplating walking back to the coffee shop to get a second coffee, I don't really need more caffeine it's just that good that I want more.

Michael N.

Yelp
Excellent service... clean tables and comfortable space. Very friendly staff. Recommend for quick pick up
