Google
Overall, I highly recommend this Press Coffee location and Press Coffee in general! So why the 4-stars instead of 5? I really try to reserve 5-stars for outstanding or above and beyond experiences in some way. I’ve always had a great experience here with the exception of the internet. It’s always painfully slow and the most recent time, I was unable to connect despite multiple attempts and it not being as crowded as it sometimes is. Maybe it’s just me but coffee shops tend to be great places to meet people and/or get a little work done. This is only possible with a decent internet connection. Regardless, I’m sure I’ll be back as I still love this spot. For this visit, I tried a drip coffee and breakfast sandwich. I enjoyed both of them! I’ve had their Southwest Burrito too, which I really enjoy. I’m not big on any foods that are too spicy but I think they put just the right amount of green chili in to give a kick but not light your mouth on fire. Anyway, I hope you enjoy as much as I do should you choose to visit!

I’ve been here a few times… the coffee is amazing, and the avocado toast is to die for… just be aware, because of the popular brunch spot around the corner the parking situation is challenging and the lines (at Press) can be long on the weekend. (I’m assuming folks grab coffee while they’re waiting for their table to become available at the brunch spot.) If you don’t mind sharing the seating options are ample, and they have a great shady patio… if you’re looking for a chiller vibe without as many people coming and going and fewer families, I would recommend visiting at an off hour … but do visit, it’s an amazing spot! *update: they were so busy this last time I visited, there was a mix-up and my avocado toast which i ordered “for here” was in a to-go box in the online order queue just dying there…. Also the outside of the box is pretty dirty, forgivable, but yeah… I won’t be visiting during peak hours on the weekend again.

Google
Overall good, but they are trying really hard to push the 12oz "cappuccino" which in reality is just a latte, so you have to ask for the 8oz if you want anything that resembles a cappuccino (even then it will depend on the barista if you end up getting an 8oz latte instead, there is no consistency). Also, beware of the comfy seats in the patio, they are extremely dirty, not sure how often they clean them, but they have been dirty for months!

Google
I don't drink coffee, but I love chai tea. I love that they use a powder over a syrup like other establishments. Food options are great as well. Much better experience than their competition. Better quality drinks and food.

Google
This Press location is really wonderful. Press is a Third-Wave coffee shop whose focus is on specialty (80+) coffee. It's one of the few places in Phoenix I've found staff knowledgeable on pour over techniques. It's smaller than The Roastery but has a lovely shade patio and is near the walking trail around the lake.

Google
Calm and prestine environment for a coffee bar. You will definitely love the service here and the staff are extremely kind and accommodative. Had an excellent weekend morning with the smell of the brewing coffee and the hotness of a beautiful coffee cup. Will definitely recommend for anyone who is a coffee lover.

Google
We’re visiting from Tucson and wanted to try something local. This place is great! It’s located next to a beautiful lake and they have a dog friendly patio. My husband ordered a vanilla cold brew, which was smooth and not too sweet. I ordered a shaken cinnamon honey cold brew and it was delightful. It tasted like an oatmeal cookie in the best way possible! If we’re in town again we’ll be back!

Google
Their ice mocha is velvety smooth. Friendly staff.

Yelp
Me and my boyfriend make it a point to visit local coffee shops whenever we travel and we came upon Press Coffee! Saw that it had great reviews and needed to try it for ourselves. Just the interior and ambiance alone, we were sold. I'm not one to be flashy, so the inside of the coffee shop already impressed me. The service was great and the baristas are top notch! We got the 12 oz nitro cold brew and the 16 oz espresso honey cinnamon, and it did not disappoint! They had the nitro cold brew on tap, with that classic bitter but dark- chocolatey flavor. The espresso honey cinnamon has a smooth texture with a flavor similar to a churro/cinnamon roll. Next time we're in AZ, we're definitely coming back here :)

Yelp
Love press. As a self proclaimed coffee expert press is the best coffee in the town. Two roasts usually available the OG early edition and rotating roast. Early edition is delicious. A hint of PB , mm perfect. The OG burrito is completely underrated . Don't sleep. One of my favorite breakfast burritos around. Lightly pressed and served crispy. One of the best.

Yelp
**3.5** Was looking for a coffee shop after landing from the airport. A close friend and I decided to visit this spot and I was stoked about 1. the prices compared to CA and 2. they had Sumatra beans, say no more! Ordered a pour over, Sumatra beans why yes it was hawt as heck outside but why not. yolo. The baristas are so so nice here!! She gladly rang me up and off she went whipped up the beans, weighing scale, pour over set and the kettle--they had a Fellow Stagg, which we slightly bonded over :') my little uncaffeinated heart was so happy. I was told they would bring me my drink in 5ish mins so off we went to grab a table and catch up, also ordered half an avo toast -- riveting, I know. The coffee was good! Nice chocolatey, berry balance, it was a little over-extracted but it's all preference and I'm just a diva when it comes to coffee. To note, it was served ready to drink in a to go cup which was sweet and definitely travel friendly but I wish there was an option for ceramic drinkware. Again, all preference. Avo toast was also good, it was sprinkled with chili powder which gave it some depth in flavor. Not sure when I'll be in Arizona again but def a good spot! Yet to visit the Scottsdale location too!

Yelp
Love this neighborhood coffee shop! Never disappoints. Friendly staff and love the outdoor space overlooking the water

Yelp
Coffee is really good here but it's so popular that there's a long line and a long wait for your order. There's patio seating and indoor seating too. A variety of pastries is presented as well but we just had coffee to go. Parking was also a bit of an issue as it was around 9am on a holiday Friday. But after having a good cup of latte, it was all worth the wait and the frustration of looking for parking. A definite must try but perhaps on another day or time when it's not too busy...

Yelp
I didn't love my iced matcha latte. I prefer the ones at Starbucks... but what was really, really good are the breakfast burritos! They are also HUGE. Service was also a tiny bit slow, but it was friendly so I will definitely be back. I'm excited to try another drink, and see if I enjoy one of their coffee drinks better.

Yelp
My first time here! The environment was very welcoming and the coffee was great. Lizzy, the barista employee helped me with a good recommendation, and was very kind to me and my pup from the second we walked in the door all the way up until we got our coffee and pup cup. I love women like this working in the service industry!!! Press Coffee is lucky to have someone like Lizzie to be the face of their company here at the McCormick ranch location!

Jaime F.

Yelp
We love Press, but we went to this location for the first time today, and we realized after we got home that they didn't put honey in either of the Espresso Honey drinks. To pay that much for coffee, and to tip, you'd hope they would put all of the ingredients into it. The coffee did not taste good today, and we paid too much to not get what we ordered.

Yelp
Press Coffee is amazing! Loved the whole vibe and set up of this location, and the convenience of getting here off Hayden Rd. The Peru single origin pour over I had was made perfectly, and I was so happy to pick up a bag of Early Edition beans while I was in the area. I had only heard of Press Coffee from what I had read online and was perfectly content with my experience here. One of my favorite parts of this location was seeing the display of global map of coffee types and varieties next to the coffee beans for sale. Loved learning about different varieties and flavors from around the world.

Yelp
Press Coffee at McCormick is one of my favorite places for a coffee with a friend. Since it's right on the water, I like to grab a coffee or matcha and go for a walk. Their coffee and matcha are reliably good and the place is always busy, so planning for a walk is a great idea here.

Yelp
Love love love this coffee shop! Right off the bike path which is super handy for a mid-ride break.

Siaira I.

Yelp
Iced chai is absolutely delicious! Service was also amazing the blonde girl (didn't get her name, sorry) remembered us from the day before lol. Not from around here but if i'm ever back in the area we WILL be back :) Thank you to that girl

Yelp
Avocado toast is amaze!!!! Everyone who works here is so friendly. Perfect place to get work done and such a nice environment.

Yelp
Rude staff member has been here a long time. Coffee is mid. No options for keto breakfasts. Overall, not an upgrade from the mom and pop cafe that used to be here.

Yelp
Been a few times when I've been in the area. Always delicious coffee and food. Clean and comfortable. Great staff.

Yelp
This was my first visit. It's close by work and was ideal for a meet up with a friend. We've even been to a restaurant next door. (Yeah, I live in the west so not familiar with theses parts. Lol. That is one reason I chose somewhere different.) The lake is beautiful, relaxing. We sat outside. I'm not a fan of animals but the dog on the animal was relaxing right along with their owner so I was okay. The barista was friendly and even gave us the origin of the Americano. Neat. It's a cute place to enjoy "quiet" time. The prices are to be expected and that's fine. Why I did not give five stars: I didn't care for the taste. It may have been because it was half & half and not heavy cream as well as the sweeteners they had from which I selected. FYI They do not use straws. My friend had a cold drink. Will I return? Yes, it served our purpose. It closes at 2pm so we had to wrap it up and get on with our day even though they said we could stay as long as we wanted.

Yelp
During my walk this morning I passed Press coffee and decided to give them a try. The coffee was very good. Nice shop with additional seating outside. Coffee was rich and bold. Would come back here again.

Yelp
I came here because I live in Scottsdale but went to a coffee shop in Mesa and had a delicious vegan coffee cake from Sugarloaf Lane bakery. I found out they also supply to Lakeview which is not far from my house. Score! As the name suggests, it's right next to a lake. They have multiple iced tea options and outdoor seating. Besides pastries they also have a food menu that includes vegan options as well. I'll be back to try that out!
google avatar

Johan A.

Yelp
this place honestly had my heart, the food is decent and the service was amazing. I loved the the layout. It felt both spacious and cozy at the same time The coffee though.... Was even better. I loved it. Will come back.

Trish M.

Yelp
Take your own bag if you order pick up of multiple items and DO NOT expect to be greeted by staff, or even acknowledged
google avatar

Davood M.

Yelp
Loved the mocha and caramel latte, however the coffee cake was too sweet, I wouldn't recommend it. Great lakeview!
google avatar

Tracy D.

Yelp
I absolutely love the coffee cake they serve here. It's not baked in-house but a bakery drops them off to sell here. They are perfectly soft and crumbly. They also offer vegan baked goods that are delicious. The staff is always nice and friendly. The coffee is roasted in-house and it's good. The vibe is very laid back and the patio has a view of the water. The food menu is limited which is the only reason I give them 4 stars. I recommend the avocado toast and the coffee cake.
google avatar

Cara T.

Yelp
One of our new favorite spots for coffee! The espresso honey cinnamon cold brew shaker is my current fave--so delicious! Almost like a cookie, but not too sweet. Love that it's made with oat milk. This location is particularly nice because it's next to a neat neighborhood lake, so you can grab your drink and go for a walk when the weather is nice.

Jeff R.

Yelp
We'd been wanting to try Press when we visited Scottsdale and so were pleased to see that they've opened at this new location. Contrary to a negative review or two, we found the shop spotlessly clean, service friendly and quick, and the coffee some of the best we've tasted on the area. My wife and I are coffee enthusiasts (e.g., snobs). We roast our own beans and have near-professional equipment at home that we've used daily for many years. We like to think that we know a good cappuccino or latte when we see one, and we very much enjoyed our Press drinks this morning. We'll be back!

Yelp
Located next to a lake where many folks were out walking their dogs or riding bikes. The patio is perfect spot to take a break with your fur babies for coffee and delicious breakfast. We tried their breakfast burrito. It was nicely toasted and served with yummy salsa. Perfect portion size too. Highly recommend! They also had many tartines (French word for toast with toppings). We chose their original and it was the bomb! If youre hungry, you could probably eat two orders of these. The French press took a while to make for them but hubby enjoyed it very much. Their latte was delicious as well. They do have soy, almond and coconut milk options. Enjoy!

Yelp
They used to be altitude coffee lab but they just recently changed the name. Good little coffee shop on the corner. I got a small iced latte with caramel & organic vanilla (they didn't have white chocolate mocha). It tasted good maybe could have used a little more flavoring but it was good. Not to sweet & not to bitter. They do have a patio outside as well. Also you can order some coffee thru UberEats

Yelp
I live in the area and was excited when I saw Press was opening. Unfortunately this location just hasn't lived up to what I've come to expect from Press. 1- They are slow. Good coffee takes time, fair. BUT if I order a cold brew and a latte and I'm the only one in line- why did it take 10 minutes on multiple visits? 2 - I've been several times in the last couple months since it opened and it just doesn't seem totally clean. Visible bus tubs full of dishes. Cups half full of watered down cold brew on the back wall? Why? This is nit picky I know, but spots and dust on countertops, unbussed and unwiped tables when there are multiple staff members working. Floors look dirty. I feel like the vibe Press goes for is very clean, simple lines, etc. Just doesn't match their brand. 3 - I have waited in the lobby alone twice for 5-7 minutes before a staff member noticed or greeted me to take my order. They were in the back and hadn't noticed me come in. 4 - I actually witnessed a staff member take a milk frothing pitcher out of a bus tub full of dirty dishes and use it without rinsing it. 5 - witnessed same staff member adjusting her shorts multiple times under her shirt without washing hands 6 - I started ordering my cold brew with no ice because half the time I order light ice, I still end up with a cup full of ice and watered down coffee. Today was the first time I received a cold brew in a 20 oz cup that was only 2/3 full. I go to Press a lot. Multiple times a week- sometimes at the Quarter, sometimes Fashion Square or go work from 32nd street, this has never happened before. I do get it, had I ordered it with ice it would have been the same amount. But with tip, I just paid like $7 for this coffee - come on, are you that cheap? This just rubbed me the wrong way. 7 - the staff just doesn't ever seem that friendly. I'm bummed to write this because I had high hopes for our neighborhood location. All these things are small, I know. It's not THAT bad, but it's just not that good either. I'll take the extra 5-10 minutes out of my day to drive to Maverick or Cartel if I need my midday cold brew. I'll still visit the other locations though if I'm in the area.

Yelp
Went in around 3:00 pm on Wednesday afternoon and the gentleman would not wait on me or the couple behind me. After five minutes I went around the corner and he finally came out. Not a great first impression!
google avatar

Marlo M.

Yelp
Very good coffee spot, the young man who made my pour over not only had great knowledge of coffee he really seemed to live his job, my pour over was perfect.
google avatar

Yelp
Nice drink and service but sorry Andrew I always have to give one star for the variance of cost of a couple of oz's of animal milk to other types. A $ is not right.
google avatar

Andrew L.

Yelp
Fantastic coffee, great gluten-free pastries, and an amazing view. Not a whole lot more you can ask for in a neighborhood coffee shop.
google avatar

Gayl B.

Yelp
Great tasting coffee--just the right amount of bite with milk for a latte. Yes, there is an incredible patio here, but wait... Reasons to stay inside #1--drinking a hot beverage when it is still a tad hot outside is best enjoyed inside--at least it was for me. There was plenty of seating inside too. Reasons to stay inside #2--The coffee barista/owner/? was busy with the roasting machine. This was definitely fun to watch while inside! Reason to stay inside #3--The pastry cabinet keeps screaming your name! Another reason to stay inside. Short walk to grab a yummy treat. Reason to stay inside #4--enjoying the artwork! When I was here, the art on the walls was from a Portland based person or inspired by Portland downtown scene. Cool to view. Reason to stay inside #5--you get to listen to the baristas happily greet customers! Baristas were efficient and nice, greeting us upon entering. The patio is definitely an option, but the inside can be just as great, too!

Yelp
Another day on vacation, and another coffee shop. Today I stumbled upon Lakeview Coffee which is close to where I'm staying. Tucked away in a shopping plaza along with Butters, this coffee shop roasts it's own beans and offers the basic coffee items that a shop should plus some unique breakfast items. I just went for their drip and a large iced Americano. Both drinks were delicious and priced very well. I had 4 shots of espresso with a splash of half-n-half iced, and they prepared it perfectly. The drip was also full of flavor, and fresh! I love supporting these smaller coffee shops, and it seems that the locals do as well. There were many people sitting outside (despite the rain) in covered spaces and some people inside studying or doing some work. I guess my only gripe would be the lack of a signature drink, or any signage that would elude to a Lakeview Coffee only signature item. But outside of this, a great spot that won't disappoint.
google avatar

Haneen O.

Yelp
This place is so neat. I met a friend here for coffee and it took me some time to find it as I was in the shopping center south of here. There is a small fountain and lake next to this shop and it creates a serene and laid back environment. I ordered an iced latte with almond milk and caramel syrup and it was enjoyable, lots of caffeine of course but I drank it slow. I loved their outdoor patio, the weather was perfect and the seating comfortable. They do have food items but I didn't try any this time, maybe during my next visit.
google avatar

Lillian W.

Yelp
Really really dig this space to study in or just read/write! The outdoor patio is just lovely, especially when Arizona isn't scorching hot! There's a nice lake, some pleasant bougainvillea bushes, bikers and families enjoying the outdoors, and if you're lucky - some pups! It really is a location that feels like it fosters community. On top of that, the coffee is great! If you're a versed coffee addict (which I'm not...), I think you'd be pleased with the selection of whole beans. If you're into the sweet and flavored lattes (which I'm also not entirely....), I think you'd be pleased with the options which aren't overwhelming. If you're in the middle (which I am), you've got your choices! Also, if you play piano (which I do), you'll be pleased to see a very cute upright piano in this fun spot!
google avatar

Yelp
It's a feeling... sometimes, it just feels right. This was my first time at Altitude. I was looking for a coffee shop to plant my little booty down and get some work done. Some people like coffee shops that are busy or have comfortable seating or if they are like me, you're looking for a good cup of joe with something people on top. :) I liked the vibe here... the barista was very welcoming, the place was cute, plenty of seating inside and out. It also has a dog friendly patio with some doggy treats and water set up. My go to is a white chocolate mocha but I didn't see it listed on the menu. I asked if he could make a white mocha and he said yes. Yay! I grabbed a seat outside and he brought my beverage out to me. After an hour or so, it started getting too warm so I retreated to a seat against the wall with an outlet. Being in N Scottsdale, it's not crowded and I really like that. I would definitely come back to this place and bring Rocky (my 4lb chihuahua).
google avatar

John B.

Yelp
If you are in the area, this place has great-flavored espresso coffee and a good brunch or lunch menu. They roast their own beans. I know because I watched them do it. There is a lot of outdoor seating and enough indoor seating so you can probably find somewhere to sit most of the time. I ordered a cappuccino in a ceramic cup. It had a nice smooth texture and a full-bodied flavor. If you like your coffee hot, I would recommend that you specify the way you want it. I didn't and I thought that it could have been served a little warmer. Overall a solid coffee shop that is worth a repeat visit.
google avatar

Mae W.

Yelp
Yay it's Press now & 100% better. So happy we have a Press nearby!! I always go PB shaker!
google avatar

Danielle R.

Yelp
I'm not usually a coffee or tea drinker outside of my home kitchen but I came here with a friend and we both got drinks. Hers looked great it was a caramel something or another :). Mine was the ginger peach tea with honey and cream. It was very good. I wished it had less ice and that I was informed it would take longer than normal as it needed to be made from scratch. I'm new to this store and such so i had no idea. Not a huge deal I just like knowing in advance. Since we came during Covid times the pastry area was sparse and I really wanted to try the chimney cakes. Maybe on my next visit they'll be there. It's a cute shop for sure on a lake with a nice view. The staff was friendly as well and the patio was a nice touch as well.
google avatar

Brandi J.

Yelp
Team here was super helpful! Loved the coffee and environment. Held a gathering here and we will be sure to come back.
google avatar

Yuko H.

Yelp
Came here one Sunday morning to meet up with lovely Yelpers, and I really liked their ambiance. Their patio is by the lake, a great place to hangout with a cup of coffee. I tried their cappuccino, and I really liked it. You order at the counter and have to bring it to your table on your own. Coffee is really full, I had to walk so slow to bring it to my table. I thought I was incompetent to be a server when I can't even carry a cup of hot coffee efficiently. I also tried their avocado toast. They put generous amount of creamy avocado, I really liked avocado part. Toast was a tad too crunchy, had a difficult time slicing. Despite of very busy on Sunday morning, service was quick and friendly. Not sure if I would order their food again but would like to come back to sit at the patio for relaxing morning with a cup of latte. Just need someone to carry my coffee.
google avatar

Erica M.

Yelp
Came here for breakfast with a friend and it was a beautiful day to sit on the patio! We both ordered coffee and 2 different kinds of breakfast toast. I ordered mascarpone and walnut toast that was drizzled with honey and it was delicious! It was a decent sized slice served with an orange garnish. It was simple but well done and I'd definitely enjoy ordering it again! My friend had the avocado toast. It looked great, the avocados were nice and ripe, it was just a little bit bland being just avocado, it could have used a little more seasoning, but was fresh and good! We would definitely return for walnut toast, the service was good as well!
google avatar

Karen W.

Yelp
What a beautiful morning for a finely crafted brew! A group of us gathered together at Altitude to sip and nosh in this picturesque coffee spot. Much thanks to Yuko H. for organizing! The menu consists of breakfast, lunch, coffee, tea and smoothies. I had the avocado-egg-balsamic toast with an iced latte. Although it was pretty busy this late morning it came out quickly. The toast had a very generous spread of creamy avocado, sliced hard boiled eggs and a drizzle of balsamic vinegar. Overall it was pretty good. I would have liked an additional hit of acidic flavor or a different texture to balance out the creaminess and smooth textures of the avocado and eggs, maybe a thin slice of tomato on top or pickled onions would help? The bread was well toasted but a bit tough to eat with the other ingredients as the crust was very hard to bite into. The iced latte was smooth, refreshing and delicious. There was no hint of bitterness whatsoever and it was a perfect complement to go with the toast. While the indoor area is nice and cozy the patio looked gorgeous and was very dog friendly so I will have to keep this spot in mind next time I'm in Scottsdale looking for a dog friendly spot or for good coffee drinks.

Halle L.

Yelp
Terrible coffee. Took 2 sips & threw it out. It tasted old and I'd rather drink coffee from Village Coffee Roastery down the block in the same shopping center. Nice to walk around the lake next to this place but other than that, this place is not very good.
google avatar

Tony L.

Yelp
really nice coffee location. They have really good tea options as well. They even have decaf coffee which is something that I do not always find at some of the smaller coffee shops that I go to. Everybody knows Starbucks but this place is actually really good. I can see why they have so many good reviews here on yelp. They do have a few bad reviews but honestly I do not think that the people are being super transparent about this location because every time I come to the location it is really really good. The coffee and all the drinks are super good and the staff are always really really nice. I guess those are the two most important things when you go to a coffee shop
google avatar

Laura B.

Yelp
Just stopped by to see if the kitchen was up and running, and it appears Lakeview Coffee is no more. It will reopen in a few weeks as Press Coffee.
google avatar

Sarah D.

Yelp
One of my fave places for coffee! And they have a really good chai latte. Plus, they have a liquor license to add bourbon into that chai ;) Great dog friendly patio overlooking a neighborhood lake - so Peaceful
google avatar

Kent M.

Yelp
Has been several months since my last time here during a Trek ride. Not it today however. Accidentally driving by and is open, so just came out with my favorite 6 shot Americano and honey. And I see they also have some wonderful food options here I'll want to try...another time however. Great staff and very nice seating outside and in both.

Yelp
What a cute little place tucked away in a cute plaza in Scottsdale.. The barista was charming and so very helpful. I was # 3 to place at my table , and he's like that's because I'm working on you #1. I had an oat vanilla latte with there breakfast sandwich.. so delicious although I wish it was real bacon and not turkey bacon but either way ! Yummy!!!! Will definitely come back!!!! Keep Rocking it guys:-)

Yelp
We ordered a vanilla latte and a traditional macchiato . Great service. My husband wasn't too impressed with his macchiato, thought the Cartel coffee place was way better. My latte was good. It was nice sitting outside, amble seating!
