Google
Waffles were good, service was fine, when we went for breakfast only one employee was working. We were actually impressed in his speed of fulfilling orders. The only negative was the atmosphere, eerily quiet and humid.

Google
DELICIOUS!!! On vacation and looking for a breakfast place! Loved the SOUTHERN BELLE the best but ice cream waffle sandwich, make your own with fresh strawberries and the Nashville Hot we’re fantastic too. Sooooo good! Couldn’t find it originally but went into the Lyric Market and passed tons of food options. All the way to the back and worth it!! Great service! Fast, crispy, savory and filled with Belgian pearl sugar!!!

Google
Absolutely heaven with each tasty bite! Stopped in during my visit back home and after reading some great reviews about this place had to come. Full transparency, this place will leave you wanting more. First, because it is THAT good, especially the Monte Cristo, but the portion size/ content will require thinking where to next within the hour. (Leaving with an appetite, especially if you plan to walk around the downtown area) Overall, it is a must stop for a great snack or accompanied with other items! Can't wait to go back!

Google
I saw a picture, thought it as a local downtown eatery. But it is just a glorified Starbucks. I had the Cristo, waffle filled with turkey and ham and cheese with blackberry jam. It had just barely enough of each of those ingredients to be able to say they were there. The waffle was good. The drink I ordered was the pink drink. Acai juice and coconut milk. It was mostly ice. It was $5.50. For the money, it was a small snack for the price of an entree at a restaurant. I do not recommend. The service was atrocious. 2 guys who clearly did not want to be there and could not have cared less if I liked the food.

Google
My husband and I got the Elvis waffle. The flavors were amazing with the warm peanut butter and honey drizzled on top of the chooped bananas and bacon were perfect. Definitely recommend and we already plan coming back tomorrow to try one of the breakfast waffles.

Allison Wells

Google
Quick service, nice workers, great food, amazing location. Would definitely come here regularly if we were locals. Great location for working/studying, there are outlets for chargers.

Google
It's always busy in the mornings, and now I know why. Legit option for breakfast on a Saturday morning. The House is my favorite Nutella and strawberry great combination.

Lisa Smith

Google
I am normally not a waffle fan but the Southern Bell with lemon curd and blueberries was absolutely delicious. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Will definitely return…..probably tomorrow!

Yelp
I would describe Press Waffle as "okay." For $12 chicken & waffles you get what you pay for. It's quick, affordable, and does the job. I'm not sure how freshly the dishes are made, but mine came out warm and the texture of the food didn't taste too fresh. The waffles were very thick and tough, and had a brioche bread-like texture. They were hard but very filling. The chicken was 3 strips. The flavor was good, but the exterior texture was hard-not crispy, but rough. The overall presentation of the plate is good, but I was a little disappointed when I ate it. This place will satisfy your craving for chicken and waffles, but I'd seek other places for quality taste.

Yelp
Delicious! Hubs and I stopped by to give it a whirl and love it! I got the House, he got the Chicken & Waffle -- both were tasty! Service was fast and friendly. I definitely see why people love Press nestled inside this food hall. Absolutely worth a repeat visit. Cheers!

Yelp
The waffle were really good! I only wish they were a little softer! But honestly other than that I would definitely be back to try the other waffles on the menu! This was the ultimate sugar rush!

Yelp
Located inside Lyric Market at Downtown, Press Waffle is easy to find and has lotsa customers. There are some bar stools right in front of the kiosk but plenty of seats in the market place. They offer milkshakes, coffees from Starbucks, and of course waffles. Naturally I came here for the waffles only. There are either sweet or savory waffles. It took quite some time for the staff to take my order. They were rushing at least 6 tickets out before they had the time to take more orders. It took quite some time for my food to be ready too. The kitchen looked chaotic, and one of the staff looked overwhelmed. There seemed to be no order in the kitchen. I had the New Rocky Road waffle, and a DIY waffle with strawberries and a scoop of ice cream. The Rocky Road waffle was DELICIOUS. The waffle was warm, crunchy, sweet (but not overly sweet), and had a candied taste. There were mini marshmallows in between the ice cream and the waffle, and also plenty scattered all over the tray. The highlight of the dish is definitely the waffle. The DIY waffle with strawberries and ice cream was scrumptious too! Of course the highlight of the dish was the waffle. If you have the patience to wait for the staff to take your order (about 10mins wait), and you have the extra time and patience to wait for your food or drink (about 15mins wait), this place is for you.

Yelp
Whoo doggies! Nashville hot chicken breast and Belgian waffle, the best! Just the right amount of cayenne-pepper heat with a rush of sweet pancake syrup on a slightly sugar crunch waffle with a pinch of bacon crumbles. Usually, this style of chicken is so hot you feel like you're eating it on a dare... not so here! Definitely will come back and suggest it to my friends. Made to order, get a coffee and relax because you're in for a treat!

Yelp
I am not a big fan of sweet and savory together, but my daughter told me this place was amazing, so I gave it a try. I'm gonna start saying that is at the Lyric Market Food Court, right in the heart of Houston Downtown. The girl taking the orders is sweet and funny. The menu is not huge but not small either, they have the right amount of items for you to find something you'd like. They have savory waffles and sweet waffles. I ordered The Cristo, a delicious combination of turkey, ham, white cheese and blackberry jam, and OMG this was so good!!! My daughter ordered the American, with bacon crumbles, maple syrup and an egg on top, delicious!!! They also have coffee Definitely coming back soon! Note, the only reason I gave it 4 stars and not 5 is because they only had one person cooking so the orders took long time to be ready.

Daryn J.

Yelp
Meh. It's alright. An ok pick if you work in the area but nothing I would travel more than a couple blocks for. Only actual complaint was the cost of extra tenders. They priced me 2.25 per tender for the world's most average tender.

Yelp
Walked into this place early in the morning in fact I was the first person there! Me and my bf ordered t we I separate waffles. First off the guy was very rude and bland with his greeting he obviously did not own this place cause if he did he would treat the customers better. 2 he bused freezer frozen food. I was so annoyed by the service and food I cancelled my order as it was being made well I made by bf cancel it cause if I went up there it would have been bad

Yelp
Location: inside lyric market corner spot Staff: very nice and friendly, seems like English is second language, please be patient. Price: average Parking: street or garage ( I went on a Sunday and they will give you a receipt with a scan part for the first 2 hrs to be free) Seating: indoor and outdoor Drinks: bottle drinks available as well as Starbucks Food: I went for a plain waffle and the home waffle. Everything was very well display. However the waffle itself was a bit too hard for me as if it was previously frozen.

Yelp
My friends and I decided to check out one of Downtown Houston's newer food halls Lyric Market. We had our dinner, but needed to satisfy our sweet tooth, so we ended up here at Press Waffle. I had never heard of them prior to coming here, but from what I read, they are a franchise with different locations all over. They had a couple of young folks working the counter who did a great job and got our items out as quick as they could. As far as their menu goes, they have quite a few options. You got the namesake pressed liege waffles of the sweet and savory variety. You also have ice cream and coffee as well. We all went for some of their sweet waffle creations. Liege waffles are different as they are a little thicker and dense than your average waffle. It also has large sugar crystals that give it a little texture and pops of sweetness as opposed to a total sweet waffle. I'm a sucker for s'mores so I went with the Happy Camper. Marshmallows, chocolate and cookie butter topped the waffle and made for the most delicious bite. I tried bites of their signature House waffle which had strawberries, cookie butter and Nutella. Simple, but delicious. The Southern Belle might have been my favorite even though they were all delicious. This one had lemon curd and fresh blueberries which made it lighter than the other two and perfect with a cup of coffee. Overall, we really liked everything we tried here. I am not in the downtown area too often looking for food, but I would come back here if in the area.

Yelp
I would have given this 3 stars, but after a second visit I'm dropping it to 2. First visit I got the fruity pebbles waffle and my husband got nashville hot chicken. His was decent, but I didn't care for the flavor of mine at all. The waffle itself was drenched and drizzled with a sticky sweet but almost bitter sauce. It killed the waffle for me. We were back in the area again a few days later and we decided to try it again. Same dishes, but getting the fruity pebbles waffle without the sauce. It was better in the sense that the sauce was left off, but this time around the waffle had a stale, chewy texture. Not pleasant to chew or swallow. I tried adding some maple syrup but it didn't help. Something was off with the texture. What's worse, my husband's waffle was worse than the previous visit and had the same weird texture as mine. After 2 unsuccessful visits, I have to say it's just not good food

Yelp
It should be a crime to taste so good. The waffle reminded me of the waffles I had in Belgium. Crunchy but soft and sweet inside. The cookie butter was just the correct sweetness. The best dessert ever. I'm going to go with it's super healthy because it was loaded with strawberries. Loved finding them in the Lyric Market.

Ariana L.

Yelp
Got the Churro Waffle and the Southern Belle, and they were amazing! Quick service too!

Yelp
We had the cinnamon roll and the all American and it will be wonderful. Highly recommended great staff.

Brice M.

Yelp
came in for a waffle just under an hour before they close was told I can only order coffee. Food looks great though.

Yelp
Soooooo good. Hubby and I made a special trip just to eat here. Employees were friendly, and the food was delicious. We got 2 different ones to try/share. The Elvis...waffle topped with peanut butter, bananas, bacon, maple syrup, and powdered sugar. The Cristo...a waffle sandwich with smoked turkey and ham, cheese, blackberry jam, and sprinkled with powdered sugar. Will definitely go back.

Yogi C.

Yelp
Service, horrendous! Sat me, said she'd be right back. Then proceeded to go to another table, take orders, made 4 drinks, served them, went yo bar, took drink orders, made & served them. After my order could have been taken & prepped, she finally took my order, $18 for 2 eggs, 2 pieces of raw bacon & $10 old coffee with lipstick all over the rim of the cup. Apologies for raw bacon, will make more, after I'd slowly finished my eggs & toast, the bacon appeared. It was brown, but microwaved into oblivion. No acceptable way to cook bacon. This place reeks!

Cassidy P.

Yelp
Parking was confusing. Finally found the garage it's 411 smith street. But do not use Google maps because it tries to take you to Preston st which is not correct. There were signs and in other yelp reviews that said if you stay less than two hours, parking is free. Once we got to the gate it said if you were there 0-2 hrs it's $6. We were there less than an hour and had to pay $3 dollars when we left. The food market is located on level M. Now for the Press Waffle. My husband got the Nashville hot chicken waffle and I got the chicken and waffles. I have a big sweet tooth, but the waffle itself was so gaggy sweet I could not finish it. The chicken was very good. Crispy and juicy. The Nashville hot was better because the spice balanced the sweetness and made it much more enjoyable. Overall it was a little disappointing.
google avatar

Julio G.

Yelp
The place is tucked away in a food hall. The service was great. The waffles were made to order, so it took about 20 minutes to get our food. There is limited seating for all the shops, so keep that in mind if you visit.
google avatar

Marlena B.

Yelp
Maybe I came in the wrong day because those friendly people that work here did not show up today. I got the jerk face employees. My sister refused to order anything because they were so rude.
google avatar

LaTosha S.

Yelp
The waffle is small but mighty! It looks like it won't fill you up but it absolutely packs a punch. Both waffles were delish. I like a little sweet and savory so my mom and I shared the house and the chicken & waffle. Both were delicious. The service was just okay but I give them grace because they just opened.
google avatar

Michelle J.

Yelp
OMG these are hands down the best waffles we've ever had! We had the Happy Camper, the Elvis and the Nashville Hot waffles. The happy camper is like S'mores on a waffle. We loved the toasted marshmallows on top. The Elvis was amazing, piled high with sliced bananas. I was not a fan of the bacon crumbles, but only because I'm not a fan of the smokiness of the bacon. The texture however was perfectly cooked and crispy. First bite of the Nashville Hot made my husband's eyes water and he couldn't talk for a minute . The waffle under the chicken was tasty and decadent. We will definitely come back!
google avatar

Gina R.

Yelp
Great customer service and the cinnamon roll waffle was delicious. The parking is confusing at lyric, it said $12 for event parking but then a sign on street said 2 hours free with lyric receipt, but there's no one working at booth, luckily found a spot on street on a Sunday (free parking on Sundays on street) anyway great waffles.
google avatar

Liyani M.

Yelp
This is my first time at this joint and I was impressed. Their chicken and waffles are delicious and they serve Starbucks coffee. I ordered an iced pumpkin spice latte with an extra shot of espresso and it tasted exactly like the Starbucks brand. They followed the formulation of the drink. It was on point! I will definitely come back here again when I visit Houston.
google avatar

Simrin K.

Yelp
I still dream about their Nashville chicken and waffles. It was perfectly spiced and sweet with their yummy maple syrup.
google avatar

Moondera R.

Yelp
Delicious!!! The breakfast bomb is literally the bomb. You need to try!!! I don't like a runny egg either but it's not too runny and if you don't eat it right away, the egg cooks some more. You can also ask for it not runny. Overall 10/10
google avatar

Crystal V.

Yelp
This place is great hot and fresh very good I ordered the cinnamon waffle and it lived up to the name . It was very delicious and I'd highly recommend as well as a chocolate milk , an Oreo milk shake and an orange juice.

Sheila K.

Yelp
Oh wee what a twisted treat. I had the best waffle. You must try it if you are downtown.
google avatar

Laura T.

Yelp
Waffle cereal with cinnamon toast is heavenly! It is a must try and would recommend this to anyone who like waffles especially on the sweet side! Press Waffle Co. in downtown Houston is in the Lyric marketplace. First, don't stress yourself out by finding parking in the downtown area when coming to eat. There's ample of parking in the Lyric marketplace. Parking is free for 2 hours as long as you make a purchase and save your receipt. The receipt has a QR code which you need to scan when exiting the parking garage. Press Waffle shares the same space (booth) as Starbucks and hence, their menus are right beside each other. Now to the food, I had the Waffle cereal and it was fantastic! Due to the waffle having a slight deeper pocket (essence of Belgian) it soaks in the house whipped cream, syrup and toppings. I had taste bites of cereal milk with the warmth of the waffle, whipped cream and cinnamon toast cereal. It was not overtly sweet and it complemented my iced coffee with no additional sweetener. My husband had the waffles Nashville hot with chicken strips and breakfast bomb (waffle sandwich with sausage and fried egg). Both of them are on the savory side with flavors just right. My husband stated that the Nashville hot was a tad bit hot for him but it was okay for me.... Overall, this is a good place to satisfy a waffle craving! Sharing a picture of my gooey cereal waffle here.
google avatar

Jordan M.

Yelp
Hits the spot. Very rich. We got one each but you really only need to share one. You can add ice cream to any of the options which is my recommendation. They validate parking!!
google avatar

Misty A.

Yelp
We went out walking the bars on main st I am not much of a drinker but I love me some food! Decided to close the evening with dessert! Best part of the night! Staff was super friendly. The atmosphere was awesome! This food mart is really nice!

Nadia K.

Yelp
This is probably the worse waffle I have ever had. It was so thick and dense that you couldn't even swallow it. Service was meh, slow, and just there.
google avatar

Arika M.

Yelp
Terrible customer service. Tried to order a coffee here but the 2 guys working today 3/21 around 1p were too busy flirting and talking. I tried ordering with both of them, I stood there with no line for over 15-20min, disappointed..

Tyson P.

Yelp
Food is hot and fresh. Staff is always pleasant and quick. This is a nice place for a quick snack.
google avatar

Steve N.

Yelp
Service sucks. Ordered a House waffle. Right around the 30 minute mark, got tired of waiting, complained and wasn't even offered my money back. Just kept telling me to keep waiting so I walked off. Stole my money!!! Do not eat here.

Dania S.

Yelp
So glad they opened a new location in downtown. Tried the woodlands location a year ago and absolutely loved it! Coffee is great and food is even better! The cristo is my go to. It has the perfect combination of savory and sweet and you can't go wrong with a vanilla iced latte. The manager was very welcoming and went above and beyond.

Louise B.

Yelp
Based on the reviews. I was super excited to try this place. Good location, very clean space. Service was okay. The waffles were a huge let down. Although the presentation was nice, the waffles were the most dense waffle I have ever had and the flavor was definitely lacking. Definitely disappointed. Wouldn't return or recommend.
google avatar

Jordan U.

Yelp
Food was very very good. Service was solid, got my food in a timely manner. The location is nice. Very good waffles, would reccomend.

Kim P.

Yelp
The waffles were delicious. The Staff very nice and helpful with recommendations. We went outside to enjoy the sunshine, because it was cold inside.

Jennifer B.

Yelp
The Press Waffle in the Lyric is not consistent with their hours. The website says 8am but there is a line waiting at 8:30-8:45 and no one is there. Seems like a coffee place would get it together before anyone have to start work. I stayed waiting by counter from 7:50 to 8:30 and no one was there We he finally showed up, I ask how long before I can get the breakfast bomb, he said 15 minutes. I was so disappointed because i had to get to work. It would be nice if they can at least get there and start serving by 8. Although 7 would be better. My boss sent me down with an order of 7 coffees for our clients for a depo hearing, but even at 8:15 no one was there. So which is the actual opening time? Get it together please!!

Angel ..

Yelp
Tasty. Friendly service. The waffles were surprisingly dense? Hard to cut with knife and fork

Alan B.

Yelp
Food, service, and location where superb, outstanding, and right across the street from my hotel! Please try this place out for an excellent breakfast next time you're close to Lyric Market.

Sue P.

Yelp
1st impression was not there, waffle was hard, it tasted like freezer waffles , the lady at the counter was not friendly either!

Taylor T.

Yelp
what the heck. i thought this world be a cool experience but i could get better food at mc donald's. save your money, time, and gas. don't be fooled by all the toppings.

Miguel S.

Yelp
Great waffle place in downtown. Staff is great and the food is even better. Definitely coming back!
