Pressed Cafe

I stopped in on a Tuesday for lunch and the place was packed. Despite this my order was taken quickly and ready for me to go within less than 10 minutes. I ordered their daily special chicken tandoori panini, a regular Mac n cheese, iced matcha, and side of hummus. The only reason I’m giving three stars is because the hummus was A+, the matcha was pretty standard but they did add a lavender flavor for me, the fries were excellent and I liked that they included ketchup without me having to ask for it. The Mac n cheese was overdone, certainly not al dente and not worth the $12 cost. The sandwich was extremely disappointing with dry chicken and a big piece of gristle for my first bite 🤢. The onions did not taste pickled to me so they did not pickle them for long enough to add any extra flavor base. I might return to give them another shot but would probably not try another daily special and certainly not anything with chicken.

What Stands Out: What stood out the most, was that every team member I encountered was so friendly, helpful and professional. The lovely young, great energy woman who took my order named Izzy (sp?) was very helpful when I was deciding what to order. The Food: There are many items to choose from Pressed's expansive and interesting menu. Our food and everything else I saw looked fresh and delicious. It really can suit most anyone's taste and dietary needs. I pretty much eat anything, but my friend is dairy and gluten free. There were so many options for her. The portions are LARGE! I definitely could have turned my brunch into two meals. Pricing: The pricing is very reasonable, especially considering the large portions, freshness and quality of their food. Atmosphere: The atmosphere at Pressed is lively, upbeat, clean, comfortable and modern. There is a lot of seating (counters and tables) inside and a lovely outdoor area for the good weather. Location: The location is great because it's on a main street with everything from clothing, to sporting goods, home design, food markets and more. You could spend a whole day in this neighborhood. Pro-tip: It's a great menu, so I recommend taking your time to see all they have to offer - including their ready-made food and beverages. I also recommend ordering a few different plates, baked goods, etc., so you can get a real feel for it. Overall Impression: I've been to almost every restaurant around Newton, and I believe Pressed Cafe is the best all-around casual dining in Newton for food, atmosphere and service.

There's a lot of options here and we got the banh mi sandwich which was stellar and a tiny bit hot. The potato salad is good, but pasta salad is a bit too sour for me. The iced coffee is fairly strong. Would definitely try out more options in the future. You do have the option to either order at the front or go to a kiosk if you want to browse through the different options.

I’ve been a fan of Pressed for several years. I love it (and wish they had a location closer to where I lived). The food is fresh & tasty, the portions are huge, and the menu is ridiculously extensive. We’ve started using Pressed for our work lunches because they have a group ordering system and there is something that everyone on our team loves. To Pressed: Keep up the good work- it’s clear you value service and quality. Also, open a location closer to Natick 😊.

This is a good pace to eat fresh, healthy and tasty Mediterranean food. Conveniently located in a shopping area with free parking lots. Comfort seating, clean restrooms, pleasant interiors (somewhat casual, not fancy). The restaurant gets busy and crowded around lunch time, but still the lines are not too long, and it only takes a few minutes to find an open table. The prices are a bit high, but fair for the quality of food and the generous portions. Very good overall !

Doesn't disappoint ever - from coffee to extensive veggie options on the menu - everything tastes amazing

Nice outdoor seatings, plenty parking, great service, interesting menu. They also have a full bar. Saw on their website menu 'spicy Mumbai dreams panini' but was not available.. -Eggplant parmesan quinoa bowl $15 big portion with plenty grilled eggplant, cilantro lime quinoa, Roasted red pepper, tomato basil sauce, Spinach, mozzarella, parmesan cheese. Comes with house made hot sauce. It was mouthful of flavor and was just enough spice without the need for hot sauce. -'Spicy' Buffalo chicken Mac n cheese $15 Vermont cheddar mac n cheese tossed with house made hot sauce, marinated grilled chicken, crumbled blue cheese and ranch dressing. Topped with breadcrumbs and parmesan. Very interesting mac n cheese, rich flavor and spicy. -Costa Rican breeze juice $8.95 Mango ginger turmeric flavor. Serious ginger!

Walked into Pressed for the first time today and I was very impressed. It was a nice experience! Friendly welcoming staff, clean restaurant. Initially I was expecting a small juice bar. Instead it’s a restaurant, coffee bar, and “grab&go” rolled into one. My wife sent me to Pressed to get a Detox. I picked up a Whiskey Shot for myself. I asked about the Orange Paleo Ball and the manager not only gave me his honest opinion of it ( not his fave) but gave me one to try. I thought it was delicious—it’s a guilt free orange munchkin. 10/10 would go back again!
