Very Disappointed — Will Not Be Returning I rarely write reviews, but I felt compelled to share my experience. I walked into this café expecting the quality and professionalism that comes with an English-style coffee shop, especially one that presents itself as a premium place. Instead, I was completely ignored. The staff were too busy chatting with each other to even acknowledge my presence — no greeting, no “hello,” no “we’ll be right with you.” Just blank stares and indifference. Not a single smile, no effort to make me feel welcome or valued as a customer. It felt like I was intruding in their space rather than stepping into a café that charges a premium for its drinks. Speaking of which, the prices are ridiculously high for what you get. With service this poor, I honestly expected much more. For a place that tries to brand itself as a refined or “English” coffee spot, they’ve completely missed the mark. I walked out feeling disappointed and frustrated. Would not recommend. Plenty of other spots nearby where customers are actually treated like human beings.

Wow, It was literally a great quick healthy dining experience while traveling, and stopping at the rest stop. All of it was perfect. The Chicken Bang Bang wrap flavorful and full of chopped veggies, the Broccoli quiche, so moist and flaky and we had the guava lemonade fruit tea to end this great meal A+ for sure!

Google
Super fast even though it was busy. They have healthy food and many options. Also, they have vegan options. What a surprise!

Worst pret coffee i had. Paid 7 dollars for small cappuccino with extra shot. Instead I got cup of milk with taste of chai lattee. Even they didn't accept subscription which I use in new york. Better was to go to 7 eleven.

Google
I got to buy almond croissants I asked for 6 and it was 10 am I couldn't believe that there was nooo available but there were really many back in the ovens, they just didn't want to do the job of lowering the tray to give me the bread. ! The truth is flats of respect, the croissants are the best for real

Google
They don't use a subscription, which is used in New York. U need to pay for coffee as it's Pret Manager but not affiliated for subscription.

Came here after driving for hours needed caffeine badly, coffee was not brewed fresh and I paid $6 for a hot chai tea latte to receive a half full cup of it. Prices are higher than Starbucks. Though I feel bad they seemed entirely short staffed and overworked.

Google
I asked if they could make me a fresh salad without croutons due to a gluten allergy. I was told they were currently making wraps so they couldn't. Counter staff was kind, but I left with nothing because apparently it was too difficult to make a salad.

Yelp
I'm thrilled to see a Pret in this rest stop. What a great idea ! I'm happy to have fresh and healthy foods to eat. Wonderful selection!! Self service here. And I usually visit a Pret every time I am in NYC. Today I loved my avocado chicken sandwich with spinach & drink. Absolutely delicious. ((They had a Moroccan lentil soup that was pretty good toO, but I was stuffed. I look forward to returning here!

Yelp
The cost of the food has increased above most other sandwich places. Egg salad sandwich $12.45. No sides or drink yet.

Yelp
Nice fast food restaurant focusing on quality food. It's located inside the rest stop and it had lots of options of prepared foods and pastries. Jeffrey Hyman founded the first Pret a Manger in London on 21 October 1983. The first Pret a Manger shop opened in Hampstead, London, in 1984. The name Prêt à Manger was based on prêt-à-porter, French for "ready-to-wear" clothing. The company emphasizes the use of natural ingredients and advertises that its sandwiches are made on the day of purchase in a kitchen at each location (with the stated exception of a few small outlets). Food left unsold at the end of the day is collected by charities. Sandwiches are packaged in paperboard rather than sealed plastic. 67% of its trade is in London, where around three-quarters of its stores are located. We had a good chicken parm sandwich..it was hot and delicious. Nice fresh peppers and seasoned chicken meat inside the wrap.

Yelp
Reasonably fresh tasting food at a rest stop is a nice treat. The staff friendly, and was doing their best with some pretty terrible customers (they ordered wrong and were blaming the staff in a really condescending way). I got a mediocre chicken parm wrap - but I've had better food here, so it's my fault for getting a tortilla from a pre-a-manger. Their breads are actually good, so stick to those sandwhiches. The drinks from the cafe are pretty good too, both times I've been through the line has been minimal compared to the wait at starbucks, but with comparable prices.

Yelp
For an off-road highway service station food place, this place is great. If you're looking for a healthy alternative In contrast to the typical fast food establishments, this place is it. They have delicious breakfast and lunch items, from smoothies and breakfast sandwiches to salads and healthy sandwiches. They also have great coffee. We always stop here and it helps us eat healthier when traveling in long distance car rides. I'd definitely recommend their juices and pretty much any sandwich they offer. I've been to the location downtown Boston a ton of times and it's the same quality. Everything is priced super reasonably and comparable to any other food place in the off route service areas. Great place!

Yelp
Easy on/off travel stop during an 8-state road trip. The summer crowds were in full force here, but seemed to be lining up at the Chick-fil-A and SBX. Wanting morning coffee, Pret A Manger caught my eye. The two workers were friendly, but confused me when I told them the self-serve dark roast coffee was out. On display were a regular coffee, dark roast, and decaf. The barista/cashier informed me that they were "all the same, pick any one." Wow! Probably not the best thing to tell a customer in front of a line full of customers. I chose the regular roast. While enjoying it, I pondered... was it the regular roast? Was I drinking dark roast? How about decaf? A few more hours on the road might tell. I will say the almond croissant gets five stars here. It was hot and flaky with a surprisingly "raw??" center of dough. Upon further inspection and calling of all taste buds to formation, it was determined to be a thorough soaking of the dough in almond flavor. OMG! The sticky wet texture threw me off, but once I realized it was just drenched in delicious almond, I devoured that thing. Then took another sip of mystery coffee.

Yelp
This place is relatively new and yummy! Christan and Wanda had excellent customer service skills and seemed like genuinely kind people. They even gave me a free hot tea! They have soups, sandwiches, salads, juices, other light snacks and then coffee + tea.

Yelp
I could not believe my eyes when I saw Pret in a Turnpike service area near my hometown. For me, this is the best coffee chain in the world. You will love this place if you're a real coffee fan. Starbucks and their fake coffee doesn't even come close.

Yelp
Delicious, flavorful and fresh food. We had one of their salads, and a sandwich on small baguette. Small cappuccino, which was also good, and I didn't even have to ask that it be dry, the barista knew how to prepare it. Wonderful surprise in a service area. Thank you PRET, you have two new customers!!!

Yelp
This Pret a Manger is one of the few that you'll find at rest stops when you drive along the Northeast Corridor. I love Pret a Manger, and used to eat there at least once a week when I lived in London. They have a ton of options for breakfast and lunch - both non-healthy and healthy. For breakfast, they have fruit, yogurt, egg breakfast sandwiches, muffins, croissants. For lunch, they have wraps, sandwiches, and salads. I can't have dairy or egg, so most of the stuff they serve is off limits for me, but I used to be able to have it and I used to love everything I used to get here. They do have steel cut oats that are vegan (just oats, water, and salt) so that's a nice option for breakfast that is hot, healthy, and allergy-friendly. The coffee here is not that good - I got a latte with almond milk and it had a burnt flavor and didn't taste all that fresh. The customer service here was great and everyone was friendly. I'm happy that they have a Pret a Manger here - it's definitely one of the best things you'll find along the drive and I'll definitely be making it a point to come here during our next road trip.

Yelp
The address on this location is not accurate. The location the reviewers are referring to is the service area location.

Yelp
A complete surprise and utter deliciousness right here in a rest stop on the way home from New York City. I drove in to use the facilities and this rest stop, Thomas a Edison, was incredibly spotless and well managed. As I was about to exit, I noticed Pret a Manger in the distance and figured I would give it a look because I was a bit hungry. I avoid rest stops because they are just heavy and full of wasted calories. I was immediately taken back by how fresh and bright all the food looked. This is my 1st experience with them. I will definitely go back to them and wish they were in every rest stop. The food was clearly marked. All calories were listed clearly so you could see exactly what you are ingesting. You could choose your food to be hot or cold depending on food choice...which were VERY plentiful. There is literally something for EVERYone & lots of it. I was very much impressed on every level. When I went ahead to go and eat it (I chose an egg and quinoa bowl and I was utterly floored at how perfect it was served. The eggs were sliced fresh and the salad part was crisp & cold. The quinoa was very fresh as well. I would return here every time I pass for a quick bite to eat before hitting that highway!!

Yelp
Absolutely delicious coffee & super fast service! I've been a forever Starbucks customer, but there's such a difference in coffee quality that I would choose Pret over Starbucks any day! Beautiful renovation to the service area to boot!
