How to Plan a Trip to Belgrade, Serbia

"A pared-back stall a few spots down from Koordinata built around a deceptively simple menu—bread, pork, and Champagne—served on silver platters and in plastic flutes. Nineties West Coast hip-hop blasts as guests dig into juicy roast pork with crispy skin and dip homemade sourdough into a salty, heavenly bowl of pretop (warm roast drippings). The operation tends to sell out, so call ahead or come early." - Sophie Dodd Sophie Dodd Sophie Dodd is a travel, wine and lifestyle writer.  Travel + Leisure Editorial Guidelines

Fantastic, just amazing pork. I really liked the bread dipped in gravy too. Only outdoor seating, but don't let that put you off from trying this wonderful place. They have friendly, English speaking staff that will help explain what's on the menu.

They do one thing and they do it with flying colors. Crispy roast pork. Crispy roast pork with pork gravy, bread, and a basic salad. And bubbles. In a lively, open-air market. They also had this tremendous self-made brioche filled with pork and gravy and herbs. Prices were very reasonable and service was top-notch. Funny, kind, and they have it together. Pretop was my Belgrade highlight. No in-house bathroom, prepare some rsd for the market WC or hold it for the next place

Authenticity is the main reason to come — the roast is exactly the way it should be: honest, traditional, and full of flavor. The sparkling wine is a real surprise as well: chosen with real care. If you want a place that keeps the essence of true Serbian food while offering something different, this is it. Just one note: you have to come early in the morning or reserve a table several days in advance — it’s on the market and there are only three or four tables, so it fills up instantly.

The most authentic place in Beograd. The atmosphere of the old market seems strange at first but the vibe of the place itself - 10/10. Best pork, best horseradish, best service🐷🖤

The absolute top of Serbian eating. The food was to die for, the wine was amazing, the music choice was superb. This, for me, is now a top reason to visit Begrade and a mandatory stop whenever I come through the city. I want to squat in front of this place every day! 🤌 Hvala!

Belgrade vibe at its best (because it's Zemun): A restaurant with one of the best crews you will find anywhere and a selection of champagnes - right next to a fish market. And they serve (pretty much) just one meal. On a shaky, plastic table. But that meal is probably the best pork you will taste, served with definitely the best dip you will taste. A must-have experience if you end up nearby.

Very cool spot - tender pork, cool music, cold crémant👍 Plan to come in advance, reserve a spot for particular time and come back for the next sitting slot (no available places for walk-ins), but overall experience worth it!
