Aladin had helped with our dossier and did succeed in getting us a loan, but it was only one option, and from the bank we both already had engaged from the very beginning of our loan process (unfortunately my nationality never helps in France). And I would like to note, I would have given 5 stars, because Aladin was attentive with our dossier and helped throughout the process. However, the main turning point in our negotiation process- where we realized we may be limited to one bank and we could have stopped the process with Pretto and continued with the bank we engaged, which Pretto had not yet approached - changed my rating. It was at this point where we were encouraged to continue with Pretto, and told that if we only had this one bank in the end, we could have a discount due to the limited offers and it lastly being the bank we had already started the process with. We decided to continue due to this promise of a discount if indeed there were not additional offers.
So yes again, we did receive one bank offer, but unfortunately we did not receive the full discount, which appeared related to internal company disputes. What frustrated, disappointed and offended me further was when I was told "our dossier was complicated because of my nationality and it required a lot more work" - this is something you should not say to a client and also part of your job. In addition, my husband was put through additional stress due to the politics of the company at this final stage with many back and forth emails, phone calls, etc.
It is not our business how the discount from Pretto was organized. The fact that Aladin shared it came from his personal bonus should have NEVER been part of our final commercial discussions. It is very unprofessional and personally a problem Pretto should handle internally.
Sadly, Aladin said he will never offer a discount again to clients because of the headache it caused. This is a shame, because we would have never gotten frustrated if the original word was kept and it offers a large number of potential business opportunities for Pretto in an already competitive courtier immobilier business. (To note we were going to go with an international friendly courtier but had decided to give Pretto a chance after some research.)
I hope other clients all the best with their loan discussions and would like to again emphasize I believe Pretto is worth investigating for your loan, but the company itself needs to work on their commercial finesse and fitness.
