Prévost @ the Haycock

We visited Prèvost to try the 5 course taster menu. I use the term of course lightly. Some of the courses were consumed in 1 or 2 bites. I realise these are not meals but to me they verged on the side of ridiculouse in what was actually on the plate. I tried hard to appriciate the combination of tastes but i have to say i really didnt like the taste of anything presented to me except for some malt loaf. It was £70,pp and i left very hungry. This was obviously excluding the drinks consumed. The resturant was almost empty. I wish we had booked a meal instead. My fault for booking a taster session. Im not the sort of person to say i liked something when i didnt. The menu of what would be presented looked very nice but when it arrived on the table i really wasnt impressed with the taste, presentation, quantity or flavours. The staff were polite and the service was great but the actual food / taste and price didnt impress me at all.

My partner and I went for the 5 course taster menu. The staff were very attentive and the atmosphere was lovely. The food was lovely, the combination of flavours and quality of ingredients was impressive. Big selection of drinks and I think fairly priced for the quality of food you get.

We chose the five-course tasting menu with wine flight for our wedding after having the chance to try it earlier this year, and it was absolutely perfect. Our guests are still talking about the incredible presentation and unforgettable flavours. Each dish was beautifully introduced by the chef who prepared it, which made the experience feel even more personal and special. The accompanying wines were spot on and delicious. The service from each staff member was charming and friendly throughout, striking the perfect balance of theatre and precision. Truly a feast for both the eyes and the taste buds! Thank you everyone at Prevost, we will be back.

We had a wonderful dining experience again! Having visited 3 or 4 times, I have always been impressed by the exceptional food and impeccable service. Each dish was meticulously crafted with high-quality ingredients, cooked to perfection, and served with an artistic touch. The 3-course lunchtime taster menu was not only delicious but also great value for the experience. Highly recommended!

An unforgettable Friday lunch with my wife. Everything was perfect. We were presented with a voucher by my daughters entitling us to the 3 course menu with champagne. Each course was introduced by a different chef which was a nice touch. All the food was immaculately presented and tasted good. The amuse bouche was particularly tasty. Also worthy of a special mention is the bread and butter which was free flowing. The owners have created a great ambience. The restaurant is an orangery style building and we sat alongside one of the glass walls. It was a lovely sunny afternoon and we had great views over the gardens. The background music is well chosen and added to the relaxing atmosphere. The service provided by Theresa was very attentive and as the restaurant was quiet we had a chance to chat with her and to one of the chefs which was interesting. In my opinion, this is Michelin standard (and we have eaten in a few Michelin restaurants) We will be returning.

Went in for a combined Birthday-Anniversary meal as a late lunch just prior to Christmas. Had the 5 Course Tasting Menu. Absolutely spectacular food, beautifully presented and explained by different chefs as each course was brought out. Service was absolutely impeccable as you would expect. Beautiful hotel and setting. We will definitely be visiting again.

Random picked restaurant off Google (of course i did a little research on what to expect) That being said this restaurant turned out to be a real delight! The Venue was stunning, plenty of character with an elegant modern finish. The food was executed perfectly, creative and well balanced each course was devoured! The cocktails were equally as interesting with levels of complexity that made you salivate as you read the drinks menu. My girlfriend was happy with the surprise and it turned out i was as equally surprised with myself for finding such a gem. We had the 6 course tasting menu and left extremely satisfied. 10/10 one to visit, i will be surprised if this doesn’t get a Michelin star this year 🌟

This restaurant was a magnificent find and we had the most amazing lunch today! We visited for our wedding anniversary and we genuinely cannot fault it. We have eaten in top-quality restaurants all over the world and yet this undiscovered gem is on our doorstep! The service was attentive and friendly, the decor modern and unique and the food truly exceptional. Attention to detail, fantastic ingredients and great originality...the chocolate cep mushroom dessert was possibly the best dessert I have ever eaten! Thank you to all the staff, you made our anniversary meal very special and memorable! We will definitely be back!
