"One of our favorite things to do in Miami is sit at the Prime 112 bar, have a martini, and enjoy the complimentary bar bacon. Since the early 2000s, this South Beach steakhouse has been the place for celebrities (and people who have convinced themselves they are celebrities) in search of a big night out involving steak and a stiff cocktail. The restaurant still has an old-school electricity to it—and its dark dining room, brick pillars, and seared steaks undeniably evoke a martini mood." - bryan kim, team infatuation
"There are many places in South Beach trying hard to be fun—and failing at almost every level. While there’s nothing particularly new or trendy about Prime 112, the steakhouse is still one of our favorite places to dress up and eat next to famous people. This place is stuck in 2004—but not in a lame way. Rather, in a way that makes it feel like an uncle who’s committed to a particular decade. There’s complimentary bacon you can enjoy at the bar while you wait for your table, very spillable martinis, and good steaks. Also, NBA players love it here. There’s a good chance you end up waiting in line for the bathroom behind a point guard." - ryan pfeffer, virginia otazo, mariana trabanino

"Not unlike iguanas or professional athletes enjoying their offseason, Miami is saturated with sceney steakhouses. But few of them do it better than the city’s original sceney steakhouse: Prime 112. And this institution is still one of Miami’s best places to dress up and spend too much money on steak and dangerously spillable martinis. Prime 112 is a reminder of how Miami used to do see-and-be-seen restaurants, back when reservations had to be made over the phone and celebrities ate in the same dining rooms as civilians." - ryan pfeffer, mariana trabanino, virginia otazo
"Last time we were here, we stood in line for the bathroom behind an Orlando Magic starter. Professional athletes are obsessed with Prime 112. You’ll see them unwind over expensive wine during the offseason, or refuel with ribeyes after playing an away game in Miami. They tend to eat in the same dining room as the civilians. This makes Prime 112 feel like an old-school scene, a time before the fear of going viral made everyone tense up. A hoodie and slides (only if you can dunk)" - ryan pfeffer, virginia otazo, mariana trabanino, julia malave
