Prime Example Jazz Club

Prime Example is located in a nice area for locals and non. A tid awkward to walk in and have a seat, then have the bartender walk up to you within 4 minutes to advise that you have to purchase to be inside. Yet, not ask if I would like a drink or beverage. I did advise the bartender that I was meeting someone there. She was fine with that once informed. Note that she was always polite. The atmosphere is spot on for a pub-type establishment. I’d visit again.

Ordered a shrimp Po Boy and they delivered a Catfish Po Boy. I was told that they would make my order and send it back out. I never received my sandwich. I spoke to the owner and she told me she would personally deliver it to me. But she never did and the phone number listed isn't the number to restaurant. The owner text me and ask if she could deliver it to me tomorrow. I agreed for her to do so. I called and text but she never answered my call but got my money for sandwich.

Tuesday and Wednesday night bands are amazing also food is very tasty

I'm not sure or the lady name I encountered but she was Alsome! I came before she was open and she still made sure I got what I wanted...the good was so good, I wanted to taste it and put the plate down until I got home but I couldn't even close the plate and it was hot and taste like my mamma cooked it herself! Will be returning and I suggest you go too! 😍😘👌🏽

The staff was awful they was all stuck up snobbish and anything else you can think of it was the worst experience I had at any jazz blues and food Club and then after you bought your drinks and spent your money inside of the establishment they had the nerve to come outside and tell you that you can't stand in front of the place after all the money I just put into this establishment I'll never never ever come here again I never ever thought I'll ever see a staff that is so nasty with their customers the ones who's tipping them and paying their salaries so they can have money in their pocket and this is how they treat you now don't get me wrong the food upstairs by Germaine's kitchen was a great experience the food is off the chain don't forget to stop upstairs at the kitchen can't go wrong but downstairs the bartenders the waitress that are real nasty

The Prime Example is a nice Jazz Bar with live music and excellent food. Also they have an "Upstairs" Bar" ran by Sharon Martin and Michael "Sal" Martin. They make sure you have a great time and make you feel at home..Try the red beans and rice with fried chicken!!!!!

Mature crowd, great oldies music playing on the jukebox. Laid back vibe, good drinks and a nice, attentive bartender. They have live music often and offer food! I'll be back when I'm back in town.

Live music. Delicious food. Personal attention from the owner. I was visiting from out of town and im glad i listened to local recommendations and came here. Its NOLA at its purest form. Will return when i visit the bug easy again
