I recently dined at Prime KBBQ with a party of 5 on a Friday night, and unfortunately, it was a disappointing experience. Despite being avid KBBQ lovers familiar with many LA establishments, this was our first visit to Prime.
We opted for the Combo A priced at $120, expecting a generous portion of meat. Regrettably, the quantity did not justify the steep price when compared to other top-rated KBBQ spots in the area. Our party found itself still hungry at 9:30 pm, prompting an attempt to order more meat. To our surprise, the waitress informed us that the kitchen was closed, even though the posted hours indicated they were open until 12 am.
The lack of a last call notice left us bewildered and frustrated. The waiter acknowledged the issue, admitting that customers have frequently complained. However, he explained that the owner decides when to close, particularly on slow days. This lack of consistency and communication left us hungry and dissatisfied.
Leaving the restaurant at 10 pm with lingering hunger was disappointing, to say the least. Our attempt to convey our dissatisfaction was met with an apology, but it was evident that the owner's decision-making prioritizes closing over customer satisfaction.
In conclusion, our experience at Prime KBBQ fell far short of expectations, and we won't be returning. It's disheartening when a restaurant's management seems indifferent to customer concerns, undermining the overall dining experience.
