Primo Review - First Hill - Seattle - The Infatuation

"First Hill has an extreme lack of places where you can party. But Primo’s kind-of-fancy dining room works for a lot of celebratory situations like a birthday dinner, a low-key date, or a Happy Hour with cocktails after a long day at work. There’s just something about drinking a mule under a crystal chandelier while eating a handful of mozzarella sticks that gets you in the mood to party. Food here ranges from wings and stromboli to pies containing things like fontina and truffle oil." - Aimee Rizzo

Made reservations for 6p on a Friday but probably wasn't necessary judging by the open tables. We were quickly waited on and brought drinks. I would not recommend the water here. We started with the breadsticks with Alfredo. Those were excellent. I decided to try the Chicken Parmesan sandwich and my wife had the Cajun Shrimp Pasta. The sandwich was plenty big and tasted good. It lacked flavor so I probably should've added red pepper. The pasta dish was cooked well and had excellent flavor and a hint of spice.

Google
Primo has stolen my heart! From the amazing drink selection, to the vast and delicious menu, this is the place that calls you back for more. The best part of Primo? I feel like family every visit. Stop in downtown New Castle to try out their starters, pastas, pizzas, sandwiches, soups and more! (All from the heart) Don't forget to ask Tommy for his famous Expresso martini!

Only in town for a few hours and got recommended this restaurant. Came in 30 minutes to closing and they were still happy to seat us. (I usually do not order food that late with respect to the kitchen). Pizza was great, higher quality mozzarella was noticeable above the usual, low sodium skim milk, mozzarella. Lots of toppings, a quality pizza. The usual, Italian restaurant, food, chicken Parm, chicken Alfredo, and stuffed ravioli had great flavors above what I would expect from a small town restaurant.

Google
Super cute place... our server was great. The food was... meh. The best dish we tried was the mushroom ravioli!! It tasted home made and good quality. The breadsticks in the appetizer were ok... bland... but warm. The breadstick w my meal was cold and hard... lol. Not good- couldn't eat it. I'm pretty sure my and my husband's meal sat under a hot light for a while because our pasta was dried up and the sauce was soaked into the noodles. The salmon on top of my fettuccine alfredo was AHHHMAZING. I loved that salmon. It was simple, with a perfect crisp on the outside and tender in the middle... nom. My son had the meatball sandwich and said it was great. I'm not a fan of meatball sandwiches so I wouldn't be a good judge of that. We then had dessert... a Berry tart they were calling it... but it was literally inedible. The crust was underbaked to the point of being gummy, and the cream was weird...it was rubbery, but flaked apart JUST LIKE SALMON when I picked at it. The berries were obviously freeze dried and completely gross too. Not worth the saved gas... I'll drive to indy next time.

Great food and great service. Husband and I had pasta and my kids had pizza. We will for sure come back.

Google
Tastefully decorated interior that gives a very upscale feel. The ambiance of the restaurant is very casual and the music selection being played was quite appropriate and not overwhelming to the senses. The hostess was genuinely warm and welcoming. The waitress was very attentive. She was quite comfortable making menu suggestions and even brought out a beautiful desert display to tempt the taste buds towards the end of our meal. Our meal consisted of mozzarella sticks with marinara sauce for an appetizer, lasagna, with a Caesar side salad, my husband had the chicken parmesan with a Broad Street side salad. The appetizer and salads were served quickly. Bread sticks are not offered as a staple item, as is traditional at most Italian restaurants, but as an appetizer for purchase. A single bread stick is served with the meal. The salads were fresh and crisp and the Caesar dressing was good. The mozzarella sticks were quite tasty but the marinara sauce was somewhat bland. The lasagna was put together well, presentation was lovely and professional, yet without a savory sauce, falls short of excellent. The chicken parmesan, was cooked to perfection, with the chicken being moist and easily cut with just a fork, yet once again the sauce left something to be desired. Over all, the meal was good, the price was acceptable, wait staff outstanding, but would really love to experience a savory sauce bursting with the classic Italian herbs and spices, garlic, oregano, and thyme. Definitely will return to try some other dishes. Suggestions; Perhaps a monthly wine education and tasting for a nominal fee, would be an awesome way to introduce customers to wine pairing with meals. Bread sticks served in a basket traditionally, and adding a salad with the meals, as opposed to a side for separate purchase.

Google
Ordered the Italian sausage sandwich. After we got our salads they came out to tell us they were out of Italian sausage. The waiter suggested the tenderloin, it was a big hunk of grissel. Felt the food was not worth the price, took 3 bites of my sandwich, left dissatisfied and hungry. I will not be back.

Yelp
Saturday evening dinner for four was EXCELLENT experience. Seated quickly and great service. Our waitress was attentive and kept drinks refilled. We all got Cajun pasta with shrimp or chicken. Perfect sauce with a slight zing of spice but not too hot. I loved the shrimp. Portion was large, we could have split one meal. We had leftovers for lunch the next day, bonus! Nice bar to sit at. Could do family dining or quiet booth for date.

Yelp
Delicious cuisine that is much needed in our small town. I am usually an Alfredo gal through and through but their chicken primavera is also pretty amazing. The atmosphere is low lit and the staff are high spirited. I am planning a dinner soon so it may be time to come back to try some new dishes. If you are local you probably already know it is downtown on Broad Street. If you are traveling through and have a desire for some Italian food you take IN 3 then turn right on State Rd 38. Come through and taste the hidden gem our little town has to offer. Happy Eating!

Yelp
Loved stopping here for a few drinks and appetizers. The restaurant had a great downtown vibe. The service was friendly. Food was delicious.

Yelp
This is a nice little hidden gem we discovered in downtown New Castle. The food was great and we loved the atmosphere. Prices are reasonable.

Yelp
Tommy at the bar was great, friendly and helpful. The wild mushroom ravioli was spectacular. The mushroom in the ravioli was rich and creamy. The mushrooms on top marinated in a vinaigrette were surprisingly popping and sweet. Needed more of those for sure because the balance with the richer cream would have been even better! Seriously some of the best ravioli I have ever had. Added shrimp which was good, wish I had tried the salmon. Tommy lived in Alaska and says the salmon is spectacular. Next time will try that. Erin got the cajun chicken penne which was also really good. Bread tasty and crisp and a wide selection of bottle beer along with several drafts. First time here will for sure be back!!!

Yelp
While in New Castle we asked where to have lunch and were told to check out this spot. It also had some food reviews so we decided to try it and were impressed! It is located on Main Street which has some free street parking in front, or a short way past there is a small parking lot for all the downtown businesses. The signs were easy to follow and when we walked in we waited to be seated by a friendly host who was focused and helpful. We choose a booth but they also have tables as well as a back room that can be reserved for gatherings. The menu is full of great options but we chose yo go with a lunch special that had a pick two. I chose spaghetti with marinara and my Mom had mushroom ravioli. Each then also comes with a side salad or you can swap for another side with some up charges. My mixed green salad was delicious with a simple pesto type dressing that lightened up the flavor. The pasta was comforting and had a tangy taste that was amazing. The breadstick is a focaccia type bread with lovely seasoning and I assume made in house as it was that good. The ravioli was very creamy and had a lot of mushrooms so my Mom enjoyed it. I liked the atmosphere and it was busy but not overwhelmingly so for a Thursday afternoon. I would for sure go back and try one of their other options and maybe an appetizer. Loved there friendly staff and felt a great comforting vibe inside the space. Plus it was delicious!

Yelp
We visited this place for the first time. Nice atmosphere and the food was good. Started off with breadsticks for appetizer, they were really good. Only choice for dips were pizza sauce and Alfredo. We chose the Alfredo, which was good. Wish they had cheese as an option (they may have, but it wasn't on the menu). I ended up getting the Jerk Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo. Had a good spice to the chicken and the the pasta was really good. Others with me got the Cajun chicken pasta, and the chicken Parmesan sandwich, with chips. They were happy with the choice. Although the Cajun was pretty spicy for their taste. Service was good. We will be back. I saw them bringing pizza to other tables and it looked pretty tasty. Nice little place right in New Castle. You should try it.

Yelp
We visited for the third time this month. The pizza is fantastic. The sauces (marinara, and Alfredo) are very good and make the bread basket a meal itself. Service was prompt and jovial. The noise level was low so we could have a conversation at normal levels. We will return.

Yelp
I came here with my friend and her mom to get a drink after work on a Friday. Our server/bartender Tommy was fantastic! He made sure we were well taken care of and had a great personality. Primo had just brought out their pumpkin line of drinks, so I decided to try the pumpkin sour beer they had. It was light and refreshing. The bartender even ground his own spices to make a pumpkin spice sugar rim on the glass! Looking forward to more Friday evenings here

Sally H.

Yelp
Food and service excellent... wine much to high.. need a house Chardonnay...10$ a glass is too much..

John H.

Yelp
Friendly staff. Items to choose from on the menu. Alcohol and soft drinks along with tea and lemonade are available. The restaurant is family friendly. The restaurant is downtown New Castle. A good place to bring friends and guest, as well as family.

Yelp
There's good, and here's "good for around here." This is good. Mushroom ravioli yum yum yum. Blue cheese homemade chips? Yes! Great revolving beer list. Wish they were open on Sundays, and more through the week (close on m-t perhaps), and also that the bar was open later. Also wish there was more seafood than salmon: There's a LOT of salmon on the menu. Haven't tried the pizzas yet, but the flatbreads are yummy. Perhaps offer a few more vegetarian options, though the blue cheese salad is delicious. Love to support local!

Kim D.

Yelp
Great food, great place for date night, friendly atmosphere & staff! Especially love their Caesar salad with salmon added! And their pizza is fantastic!

Yelp
You might not think you'd get a legit meatball sub in small town Indiana, but you'd be way wrong. We took advantage of Primo's curbside service, which was pleasant and efficient. The wife has asked me not to mention her order since it's a food normally reserved for small children, but her meal was tasty as well. Great prices, healthy-sized sides, and easy ordering!

Yelp
On a whim we decided to go to Primo's again. This is only like my third or fourth time in the restaurant with family. I've been in twice for company get together's. I have to say I have been impressed with service and meals. The longest I have saw any one wait was 15 minutes. And I'm not so sure they weren't waiting on someone else to arrive and be seated at the same time. Everyone including our self and I observed come in was greeted quickly and seated almost immediately. The waiter was prompt to get our drink order. Drink orders were returned and we ordered a appetizer of Brichetto. The order for the appetizer was turned in the way to return a few minutes later to refill drinks and ask if we were ready to place our order for our meals. We placed our orders I was in a few minutes the way to return with our appetizer. Man was it good. HUM. Next we received our side order salads. Which all I can say is oh my goodness they were huge and delicious. Are Mills were served hot and ready and as requested. I tried the salmon on a bed of pasta with vegetables underneath. This is something very much out of the ordinary for me. Decided to go out on a limb and try something different. I must say I was not disappointed and may have a new favorite. The others in the party ordered a Baked Lasagna and a Fillet. They both said their dishes were awesome. This location is good for parties of two all the way up to 12. They also take reservations for large parties. We will be returning here many times.

Yelp
Pizza buffet and trivia night was so much fun! Amazing quality pizza! Staff is wonderful and attentive. Quality ingredients for the pizza makes all the difference. Beautiful dark wood decor is so warm and friendly!

Yelp
Another shitty restaurant in the mid west. My steak sucked My cheese cake was ore bought from Home Depot I think.

Yelp
Primo, Great food, excellent service. The favorite destination for Sunday family brunch.

Yelp
I'm a 3-star fan because this is great for New Castle, IN (a small town in the middle of Indiana), but the food was marginal. It was good, but not spectacular enough to brag to others about. You can see the kitchen from the bar area, it sits high enough that it overlooks into the open kitchen cooking and serving area. Unfortunately I witnessed them removing the frozen ravioli from the freezer to cook it, presumably for their "Cheese Ravioli" menu option. Being a nicer Italian restaurant, I would have expected these to be homemade, being in such a small town I'm also not surprised. I'm pretty sure their bread sticks are not homemade either, I could be wrong. Ugh, I hate giving reviews like this to locally owned restaurants that I WANT to promote, but I've also gotta be honest! I had the Baked Spaghetti and my date had the Creamy Bolognese, both were good but the baked spaghetti was a little bit too watery. The portions were decent sized. We opted out of dessert, they were having a special night for 1/2 off desserts. The seating, atmosphere and scenery was inviting and nice, a private room is also available for booking. My only wish was that the food would have been more homemade and memorable.

Yelp
Good, solid Italian fair but limited selection. Good atmosphere and pleasant staff. The booths are really interesting and make for private little cubbies to talk with your friends.

Brittney B.

Yelp
Food is so wonderfully crafted and the management and staff are so welcoming! I love their tasting menus and cocktail experiences. A must try and will return! Banquet room available to book and be served!

Yelp
Great food. I am a baked spaghetti junkie! Excellent beer and wine selection! Rotating specials. Always good energetic atmosphere. Super flexible during Covid and was one of the few places I felt safe going to when we reopened.

Yelp
I ordered the wild mushroom ravioli off of the lunch menu. Omg so good! The service was great, quick and very friendly. Will definitely be back.

Yelp
Place is so dope, confused by the bad reviews but no one place goes hard every single time. Even Lebron takes a game off. The staff, the owners, the whole decor is legit. We love it here and probably eat here twice a month. The owner still has a flip phone bc he's that old school, yea so you're welcome and now you know how fire this place is, we love it.
google avatar

Yelp
Great dinner tonight! Had the linguine bolognese! Loved it! Awesome atmosphere! The alfredo pizza appetizer was delicious and had a nice presentation! This is a great addition to New Castle's downtown! Check it out!
google avatar

Arika Yager M.

Yelp
The Chicken Parmesan was delicious. I opted to substitute penne noodles for spaghetti. My husband got the spaghetti and meatballs. Portion was filling, but not overflowing like Olive Garden or other Italian places. Breadsticks were delicious and I highly recommend the Caesar salad too. Only downside is they told us 10 minute wait and we waited 25+ minutes. I'm sure it was due to short staff because you could see half the restaurant was empty.
google avatar

Jordan M.

Yelp
Such and amazing local Italian restaurant! The service is always top notch, and the food is phenomenal. If you haven't had "The Norm" do yourself a favor and order it ASAP! Best salmon I have ever had!

Yelp
Primo was a nice find in New Castle, IN. Good solid Italian with an upscale decor. Nice bar menu. My chicken parm was hand breaded and served with al dente spaghetti with a nice house made marinara. They make their meatballs fresh each day. My father doesn't care for pasta, but had his eye on their tender beef ragu. He asked for it to be served on a cheesy risotto and they did. He loved it. JP, our waiter was outstanding. He was attentive without being obnoxious. He was friendly and very knowledgable of menu and history of building and the restaurant. Local guy. Can tell he's proud to be working in such a nice restaurant in his own home town If you are within 90 miles or so, drive on in to have a nice dinner. By the way, my whole tab for three with meal, 2 appetizers, and drinks was $68. Very reasonable.
google avatar

Richard B.

Yelp
Their Caesar salads were fresh and crisp and I liked their house dressing. I had the Spaghetti and Meat Balls and Sandy had the Lasagna. The portions were very large and the sauce and meat balls was very good. The Lasagna was well prepared also and had plenty of meat in it and not just meat sauce. You could tell that their meat balls were hand made and not the prepackaged frozen kind you get at many Italian restaurants. We also had bread which was served warm and was soft and not hard. Serve was excellent and the wait staff were always there when you needed a drink refill or extra butter for the bread. The restaurant was well lite and extremely clean. The atmosphere was great and the noise was almost non existent. Wait time was a little long however they were extremely busy. The wait time was actually no longer than most restaurants of this type. We plan to come back soon.

Paul H.

Yelp
Found this place on Yelp while staying in town. The food was amazing from the basic pasta to more traditional dishes. Will definitely go back the next time I'm in the area.

Yelp
I'm not the easiest dining customer there is. My husband and I tried this restaurant tonight for the first time. I am picky with my tea- it has to be brewed, dark in color, and unsweetened. It can't be fountain. I ordered tea and it was very light- like flavored water. I sent it back & just got water. A lady came over (owner? Manager?) & told me what happened with the tea, that they tried something different. She agreed, it was too weak. She offered to brew me some fresh tea so I took her up on that. It was the best tea I ever had! Pleasantly surprised because no one ever offers to brew me fresh tea. To me, that was gold standard. The meal itself- linguini bolognese- was out of this world delicious. I ordered two meatballs extra and they were okay, not the best I ever ate. Same with the breadstick. My husband thought the breadstick was good. He had chicken parm over spaghetti and gave it 4 stars. That's a good review, coming from him. We both loved the salad dressings- blue cheese and French. I wish I could make dressings like that. Then, the waitress came over with a tray of 3 cheesecakes. Hubby ordered the strawberry cheesecake and I ordered the peanut butter cheesecake. They were worth a five-star rating. Rivaling Cheesecake Factory's cheesecake. The price wasn't bad either for the heaping portions we both received. I'm so happy we tried this! Oh, the atmosphere was nice too. That's important to me. Also, when we walked in, the greeter gentleman was very welcoming and warm. I felt comfortable going in. Thank you everyone at Primo that made our experience one of the best dining experiences. I felt like we were out of town, on vacation. Then we stepped outside and realized, we are still in New Castle! I highly recommend this hidden gem of a restaurant.

Yelp
Dinner and brunch are worth a pop in. Large portions made fresh daily. Excellent variety and drink specials. Ambiance and atmosphere are great for families and private dining

Yelp
I think by far Primo has the decor ambiance vote for NC hands down. However, that said I noticed little things needed to complete the upscale genre. The napkins were black which is updated but they were paper which did not fit the upscale motif. The other thing that seemed off was the lighting was fairly bright for 8:00 on a Sat evening but nothing to take away from the feel of the highend restaurant complete with the water divider. I only sampled some appetizers with a nice Pinot Noir. I enjoyed the chips with the bleu cheese and pesto very much. I will make it a point to go another time for a full dinner because the menu was appealing and prices very reasonable.

Stuart R. H.

Yelp
My family and I love to eat here. The food is absolutely amazing and the Sunday brunch is a real crowd pleaser when we take friends or family. We also like to go in on Fridays for the half price mozzarella sticks because our daughter loves them and I think they have the best sandwiches around. I also have had them cater for my wedding (big deal in my opinion lol), my Company Christmas Party, my Fierce Martial Arts awards Banquet, and I took my staff there for Employee Appreciation Day this year and we always love the food and service provided. As someone who has literally rented out the whole front of the restaurant, taken my staff to their banquet room, ate their for brunch, lunch, and dinner, and have had them cater multiple big events, I can truly say that they do a amazing job. Keep up the great work and what you're doing in New Castle.

Yelp
I was happily surprised by how much I enjoyed my dinner at Primo. First of all, the interior of the restaurant looks great. The management made very few changes to the interior since its Bella Vita days, but that's fine because there was really no reason to. By far the nicest restaurant in New Castle and Henry County as well. I was really impressed by the drink menu and the amount of local beers and liquor on the menu. I enjoyed a Henry County Mule made with Hotel Tango vodka. Very good! Wish it would've been put in a copper mug, but I can let that one slide. :) As far as food, we ordered a goat cheese and marinara appetizer. I loved the goat cheese and marinara, but the bread it was served with was a little dry and also not very toasted. For my main meal, I got a Jerk Chicken Salad. Not really sure why they call it jerk chicken as the chicken was not spicy at all, but it was still good. The salad dressing was delicious - was some sort of herb pesto dressing which was amazing. The best part was the gigantic piece of flatbread underneath the salad topped with mozzarella cheese and caramelized onions. To. Die. For. Especially when dipped in the pesto salad dressing. Overall I thought the food was good, atmosphere was very good - it's a great addition to downtown New Castle. I really hope it makes a go of it!

Michele B.

Yelp
Best restaurant in New Castle by far! Katie and her dad are awesome people and serve some amazing dishes...mushroom ravioli, Italian sausage bruschetta with goat cheese and the salmon are all top notch! And don't forget the Pineapple Express to wash it down

Yelp
My family had a great dining experience last night at Primo. It is wonderful to have another choice that is not a national chain where we don't have to drive out of town. The meal: Our table started with the Caprese Salad as an appetizer and ordered the mushroom ravioli, the lasagna bolognese, meatball sandwich, and kid's pizza. The Caprese Salad was a little small but it was well prepared with nice presentation and quite tasty. The lasagna was meaty and quite delicious with a great sauce. The mushroom ravioli was very good with great flavor and consistency. The meatball sandwich was of a good portion size and reportedly quite good. House made chips were ordered as an accompaniment and were nice and crispy with a good flavor. The kid's pizza was devoured by a picky eater. Desserts options were also great. The chocolate cake was wonderful, the cheesecake trio was good, but the tiramisu reportedly tasted a little freezer burnt. The service: I was mildly concerned when we entered because the hostess seemed a little overwhelmed. Seating was filling up and she really didn't know what to tell us when she couldn't seat us immediately. Being new I just see this as a normal ramp up issue that will be learned with more experience. We didn't have to wait long to be seated. The wait staff was VERY attentive. Our server, JP, was extraordinary. Drinks were refilled in a timely fashion. We were updated regularly on the status of our order. The servers worked as a team to ensure our needs were met, and the manager checked on us several times. Even when our son's pizza was a little late being delivered after the other entrees were served, the staff noticed it and we were compensated for it. Definitely an A+ service experience. Price: It is a moderately priced restaurant with entrees averaging $10-12. Good value for great food. Opportunities for improvement: Perhaps a bread option for the table would be useful, ie breadsticks with garlic herb infused olive oil. I do realize costs in the restaurant industry are always an issue, but it would be nice to have a small snack while the food is being prepared. Also, a time schedule should be devised when seating is full so the hostess can confidently give an estimate of a wait time. Overall Summary: EXCELLENT. We will definitely make this a regular dining option.

Yelp
Excellent ambiance, good vegetarian options (thank you!) & great beer selection (thanks again!). Happy to have Primo downtown.

Yelp
Service was great, the food was marginal at best. The chicken was rubbery and not good at all. We had both the chicken Alfredo and the chicken Parmesan and both tasted like the chicken was microwaved. The server Casey was great and very prompt and courteous.

Yelp
Very good ! Never had anything I didn't like . The only downfall here is they don't serve bread and salad with you meal. You have to order it separate , but the Caesar salad is very good !

Yelp
Very good place in town for some Italian food, and maybe some good steak. The service was great. Plenty of flavor!!

H. M.

Yelp
A surprising find in downtown New Castle. I had a small Broad Street salad with orange vinaigrette dressing and the Wild Mushroom Ravioli. That salad was fresh and good. The orange dressing tasted like a pesto sauce. It was different as a dressing but I think I would try it again. But I'm not sure why it has orange in the name. The Wild Mushroom Ravioli entree was excellent! The stuffing inside the ravioli was flavorful and the alfredo sauce was excellent. The are a few mushrooms on top of the ravioli which were delicious. I wish there had been more of those! The entree was served with a breadstick. It was ok but definitely nothing special. I only ate it because I dipped it in the entree's alfredo sauce. The breadstick could've been a bit fresher and had a bit more flavorful. I will definitely be going back.

Yelp
Who would have imagined a classy Italian place in New Castle? Especially when its not on 3! Great food, great atmosphere, service was great as well. Can't wait to introduce the in-laws to this place!
google avatar

David D.

Yelp
Didn't care for the preparation. The menu lacked the normal fare, unless you are a vegetarian. Prices looked good if in NY or Chicago.

Liz A.

Yelp
We were very pleasantly surprised with our visit to Primo! The food was delicious and the service was fantastic! Definitely better than any chain Italian restaurant! Prices are comparable too. I think the only thing that would make this restaurant better is if a salad and bread came with the meal! Other than that no complaints! Very nice restaurant! We will definitely be back! This is a great addition to New Castle!

Yelp
Came with family of varied ages and the restaurant did not disappoint. Really appreciated having a place like this in New Castle. Would have really enjoyed it when I used to live there. I don't remember exactly what everyone ordered since it's been several months, but everyone liked the food plenty and appreciated the service. Let's see, um, I think I had something with mushrooms and a cream sauce. Big fan of mushrooms, so that sounds like something I would order. Quality stuff whatever it was. Wish I could remember. I do recall seeing spaghetti dangling from my 5 year-old niece's mouth in large quantities. She was happy. Staff was very pleasant with all of us. Would gladly come back. Maybe with a date. Wink-wink. Seriously, Tien, if you're reading this, we should go here. Share some wine and Lady-and-the-Tramp a meatball. Then, we can stroll through downtown beneath the crimson crepuscular rays of an Indiana twilight as we slowly walk back to my parents' house nearby to watch reruns of the Rockford Files with my dad over coffee and ice cream.

Yelp
We decided to try this restaurant on our way home from Chicago. The restaurant is very clean and nicely decorated. The Italian food is "ok". We started with their calamari which was quite tough, hence we did not finish it. My husband had a 1/2 Caesar salad (which was a lot!) and I had the Caprese salad which was tasty. The slices of tomato could have been bigger (they used a very small tomato). I figured since it was prime tomato growing/harvesting time the size and quality of the tomato should be great! It wasn't. For dinner I ordered the Alfredo and the waitress recommended I have it with shrimp. I wondered why & then when it came I understood. It was pretty bland otherwise. My husband ordered the lasagna boulagnase which was a lot of food but it too was rather bland. The waitress was very attentive. It really is hard to find truly delicious Italian food on the road. Oh well... it was worth the try.
