I am so impressed with this business. The owner Athena is passionate about where the ingredients come from especially the meat and cheeses. They are clean and high quality which is very important to my family. The produce is fresh as well as the bread. The staff is amazing and the sandwiches are delicious!!! We highly recommend trying them out. They always go above and beyond.

Excellent. Really can't be compared. Top quality meats and cheeses (which can be bought by the lb) everything is fresh. Excellent pricing. Wished they carried coke products.... Owners are LOVELY! They will let you sample any of their meats. Nice and clean. . Truly a hidden gem.

The wife (Terry) and I got food last night for the first time and nothing but blown away! First thing walking into this lovely establishment you smell the bread, amazing food and great staff! The two gentlemen there were nothing but perfect, really made us feel welcomed and relaxed. I was told also they have a national ranked sandwich in the entire USA, I can stand behind that! Couldn't ask for more from a local community restaurant! You guys are the best! Will be back every week if not even this evening! -Jack & Terry

Google
This place is by far the best Italian sandwich ever! I mean from food to service it was an amazing first time experience. From the moment we arrived the lady greeted us with a smile and explained all subs to us. Then, sampled some of her subs so we can try it. My boys loved it! We will be coming back again!! ❤️🙏

Google
We used Primo Hoagies for a party and it was a big hit. Everyone loved it and talked about it all weekend. We got the Italian, roast beef, Turkey and meatball subs. The meatball was particularly popular and went fast! The food was great and the service was excellent. They had these really cute wood boards for the subs that had markers for where to cut which looked really cute! Highly recommend for parties!

Google
100000/10 customer service. Sandwiches are just…unreal. You cannot go wrong. But the customer service really tops it off with big fat cherry. I was sent home with the wrong order, and we didn’t realize until they called. He (the store owner) drove our sandwiches out to us so we didn’t have to drive back up there. Overall just phenomenal. This dude cares about his business, and it shows. Now we have lunch for tomorrow, too! Bonus points for referring to me as my boyfriend’s wife 🤭

Google
Best sandwich ever. Best bread ever, Best CHEESE EVER. It can’t be beat. Customer service is always 100/10. They’re kind, helpful & just do it right. I’ll recommend to anyone who listens

Google
The food is a taste of back home (I'm from the East coast). And the manager, Athena, is absolutely wonderful! We had an issue with our rewards and points, and she worked so well with us to get it figured out. I live this shop! Great food, absolutely amazing customer service, and just a great place to go if you have the time to swing by. 100% would recommend, and I suggest it to everyone who is looking for good food.

Yelp
Amazing Italian sandwich and pasta salad. Sandwich was so big I couldn't even get my mouth around it. Service was on point with Jack! Inside and outside seating.

Yelp
Bummer! Disappointed! Take-out. Bread was dry and hard on both our sandwiches. Wilted lettuce, mushy tomato, fairly bland sandwich (mild Italian) on my wife's sandwich. She gave up about 25% thru and swapped to a P&J at home. Mine was the corned beef schwartzie with wilted/mushy coleslaw, hard bun, and not quite enough Russian dressing. The corned beef seemed more like a chipped ham. I ate the whole thing but we both believe this to be the worst specialty sandwich shop offering ever. Customers Beware!

Yelp
Another order and consistently delicious! If you haven't tried the primo hoagie Italian hoagie chips, definitely check them out!

Yelp
The best!! We love primos and everything that we have gotten from them! Remind us of what we had when we lived in NJ!

Yelp
Ordered food for our football Coaches during inservice. Food was amazing, Service was incredible. Let Primos cater your next meeting. You won't be disappointed.

Yelp
Came here for a lunch hoagie last weekend. I decided to grab the sharp Italian. I had a taste for a good Italian sub and I like cheese so sharp provolone sounded like a good idea. Service was good; sandwich didn't take long but it wasn't too busy for a Saturday afternoon. I have a slight gripe with their sub sizes. There's the mini, which is only about 4" and the regular which is about 9". The mini is too small for a lunch sub for an average person and the regular is a bit big for what I wanted. I wish the mini was a bit bigger, like 6". I got the regular and as expected, it was too big; I left about 2 - 3". I'm a 5'9" 230lb man and consider myself to be an average eater. Anyway, enough about the sizes. On to the taste more importantly. Honestly, I wasn't impressed. Decent quality of meat and the bread was baked nicely, soft inside with a light crunch outside. However, it was WAY too heavy on the peppers and pickles. Now I love hot peppers, make no mistake but when it comes to my subs and hoagies, I like a nice balance with a good amount of meat and cheese with the added light crunch of fresh condiments. Every bite was just a mouth full of bread and crunchy condiments; I couldn't even taste the provolone and I barely tasted the meat. My being unimpressed is likely another reason I didn't finish my hoagie. Maybe if you REALLY love peppers or pickles, this is the one for you but sorry, it's a pass for me. I didn't even come back for my leftovers later or the next day, which is big for me because I'm a stickler for leftovers.

Yelp
Good quality subs. Fresh toppings and clean restaurant. Expensive though. Our biggest issue was having to go up to the counter a couple of times as items were missing from our subs.

Yelp
This isn't your Primo's hoagie from Philly... the chicken cutlet sucked (it was like some frozen chicken tenders or something)... their regular hoagie was at best ok

Yelp
Why 5 stars? Because this is definitely going to be a neighborhood go-to for me. --- --- --- Something that Woodforest has lacked are a variety of convenient, quick-service options. But PrimoHoagies just opened this week, and its menu is so enormous, that it's like adding three new restaurants in one! Perusing through that novel of a menu, there are like 16 things I want to try, and I eventually will. But to start, I went with the Italian hoagie. I initially ordered a whole, before seeing that it would have cost $27.99. I asked how large it was, and was shown some bread that looked like it would barely fit through the door. I opted to change to the middle size, which was plenty. And the taste? It totally hit the spot with exactly what I was hoping for in an Italian hoagie. I had to raid the cooler with all the goodies: macaroni salad, coleslaw, mozzarella balls, and dirt pudding. All of these were awesome. As were the Herr's chips. The only thing I didn't love was "The Killer Brownie", which was sold at the check-out counter. I visited on their third day open, and it was a well-oiled machine, despite being busy. Great job on training the all-new staff, and welcome to the neighborhood! I will be back, often!

Yelp
These people are AMAZING!! Very rarely do people go out of their way to care for others but these people went the extra mile. Thank you for all the care and attention my son received from all of you. Not only do they have delicious food but they have HUGE hearts. So blessed to have this type of establishment run by such gracious people right in our neighborhood. Eat here, you won't be disappointed!!!

Yelp
I stopped by for lunch and got the Italian. One of the best sandwiches I've ever had. The sandwich was massive and service was extremely nice and helpful.

Yelp
Best cheesesteaks, delicious food, and excellent customer service. Highly recommend for eating in or picking up to go

Yelp
As hoagies go this is far more like a northeastern version than most chains. I had a mild sharp Italian which features prosciutto, sweet capicola, salami and sharp provolone. The meat is cut super thin and piled up. It was however missing the distinct flavors associated with those cuts with the saltiness of prosciutto completely absent. It was a good solid sandwich though on a roll that was a little harder than the typical hoagie roll. The Philly was similar with a harder roll, lots of wiz and caramelized onions but the meat was lacking seasoning and was thicker than those grab in Philly but still filling. The Herr's chips were on point.

Joseph J.

Yelp
This was a GREAT sandwich shop! The interior design was very unique and the sandwiches were extremely well made, especially the Cheese Steak. Not being from Philadelphia I appreciated the well-made sandwiches with excellent bread and side items, especially the macaroni salad, which was terrific. This is not your typical sandwich shop such as Subway (ick) or Jersey Mikes (dry bread), this place is different, and I highly recommend it. The service was great! I read an earlier "dingbat" review from someone who complained they received "too many pickles and peppers" on their sandwich. GIVE ME A BREAK! ... This place is well worth it. Well Done PrimoHoagies! TJ

Yelp
Nearby my chiropractor verve and decided to try. Walked in and no one at counter so it took awhile to get served.. not sure why it was just after 12. I ordered the Philly cheese steak 9 inch which was $13.99 and wanted a coke - they only have Pepsi so got a Lipton green tea which was almost $4.. so the total with tip was $19 with tip. The cheese steak was brought to my table. The first thing I noticed was the peppers were pickled and not fried with the cheesesteak. Also not much cheese on the cheesesteak. Overall good but too pricey for lunch.

Yelp
The family that runs this restaurant is over the top in customer service. The smell when you walk in is incredible and the subs are quite delicious. If you're looking for unusual chips they have them too. Even the sliced pickles are the best I've ever had.

Yelp
PrimoHoagies catered at a recent event and did a fantastic job. Their sandwiches are delicious!! I had their turkey sandwich and I loved how the turkey was more of a shaved style rather than slices. My husband had their pasta because he is vegetarian and that was also delicious. For the event they had everything. You got lettuce, tomatoes and pickles and all the sauces on the side with your choice of chips. Thank you PrimoHoagies!!

Yelp
I'm hooked on Primo Hoagies! I've been coming here since it opened and I can say without hesitation that every time it's been great (otherwise why return, right)? They are passionate about freshness and always hit the mark. I will return with pleasure!

Yelp
Very excited to have a taste of home right here in the Houston area. Italian hoagie was the real deal and don't skip on the sides as the perfect compliment. The staff was working hard to keep orders moving and the owners were friendly interacting with customers and keeping spirits high. Wishing them the best of luck in Texas and looking forward to returning soon and often.

Yelp
My first time here, and I was eager to try something that boasted east coast Italian quality and quantity. I ordered a corned beef schwartzie. the medium size, it was $15. Even when the sandwich maker brought it to me and put it on the counter, even at that point I thought maybe perhaps I ordered the wrong sandwich. I confirmed with my receipt that I had indeed ordered a corned beef sandwich, but this corned beef did not look like traditional corned beef.I would say there's less than a quarter pound of meat on this cold sandwich. Unfortunately, the corned beef did not feel or taste like authentic fresh corned beef. It looked like ham. It was shaved super thin and just did not do it for me. I Took a picture and two bites and wrapped it up to take home. I will let my husband try it and get his opinion. I am not going to give a bad review based on this, I would just warn against anticipating something more traditional Italian East Coast. I will try this place again and maybe update my review, but for right now I would at least avoid the schwartzie. They do have a lot of different sandwiches on the menu and perhaps a cold Italian sub is the way to go. We will probably give it another try but after today's visit, I don't think it'll be anytime soon . Also be on the lookout for a lot of teenagers just playing around behind the counter. I know that's pretty much the only thing most fast food places can get, but it doesn't make it any less annoying . Three stars is probably too much, but I don't want to only give two until I get a second opinion

Yelp
New hoagie restaurant that lives up to his name. I ordered the classic Italian primo size and ate only half. Fresh deli meat along with fresh veggies is a win win in my book.

Yelp
Stopped in for lunch on a Wednesday afternoon while passing through town with my 2 year old. I have a couple special requests and they were very accommodating. Sandwiches came out and looked great and tasted better. Everyone was super friendly!

H S.

Yelp
Philly native....Bought an Italian hoagie and added hot and sweet peppers, I have to say that it did taste pretty good. My test is would I go back...I have to say that I would. The ingredients are fresh, the meat is sliced thin and plentiful, although I would prefer a softer Amoroso roll, their signature roll with sesame seeds was different but acceptable. The price is extremely reasonable too! Very nice owner!

John M.

Yelp
Best deli hands down. Great bread and delicious meats. I highly recommend everyone give it a try.

Jessica H.

Yelp
Athena is such a sweetheart! Every time we have gone she has worked so hard and always made sure we were taken care of!! Their food is absolutely the best sandwiches you can find around here, but it's truly the owners that keep us coming back!!!!! Definitely recommend trying the turkey diablo with the hot peppers, the pepper jack cheese is addictive!!!!

Bruce B.

Yelp
Just picked up a Primo sized Italian hoagie and a small turkey and cheese bowl. I added a cookie at the counter. Great sandwich and bowl. Quick in and out at a reasonable price.

Thomas Z.

Yelp
The food was average, but the quantity was bad for the price of the sandwich. Although they are charging about the same price as other sandwich shops, their sandwich is so narrow, which limits the amount of ingredients they can put on it. I think I'll stick with Jersey Mike's or Jimmy John's, which both have better value.

Larry R.

Yelp
Great spot. Hot Italian is my favorite x xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Yelp
As someone born and raised in Pennsylvania, Primo is pretty stereotypical hoagie chain. The people here are pretty stellar though. Main reason I give such a good score is the service.

Roy J.

Yelp
Called in for a to go order. Didn't realize they were closed. They took my order anyway! When I got there for my order they made me fill so welcome even though I'm sure they were all ready to go home on a Friday evening. The sandwich was awesome! Thanks mathew and the rest of the staff! Keep making the customers feel special that goes a long way!

Yelp
First day! Food is fantastic. Sides are novel. Must check it out. Only thing they need to add is Dr Pepper.
google avatar

Brandon K.

Yelp
Great bread, service awesome. Owners are very grateful and appreciate you as a customer.

Yelp
Great food and gray service. I've been in there twice and the sandwiches are absolutely delicious. I highly recommend trying this eatery.

Yelp
This place was really great! I love the freshness. It was something I wasn't expecting. But when I saw the line I k ds it must be good.

Juan R.

Yelp
Awesome food!! I was born in Houston,Tx. But I have been on the East Coast I love the bread and the Delicious Deli meat. They have. O -I forgot about the chips. We found this place by accident on the weekend and we have been back 3 times in week.

Don D.

Yelp
Unless you are from the NY, NJ, Pennsylvania area you may not be familiar with Primo Hoagies. We visited the store in Montgomery to see if was the real deal - and it definitely was. The sandwiches are stellar!! Met the owners who were very welcoming and treated us like royalty. I highly recommend a visit to try them out (the Italian Diablo would be a good start)!

Andrew C.

Yelp
Pretty good. I consider myself a sandwich man and I would come back. Can't speak on the salads, I do not consider myself a salad man. Three more words

James P.

Yelp
This place charges almost $20 for the equivalent to a large sandwhich from firehouse and a small bottle of water(which was $3.50). All drinks are bottled. No machine for refills. I asked if it came with chips and she said they don't have a combo. Stupid. The meatball hoagie was mediocre at best. Subway is better than this place

Stacey G.

Yelp
The best hoagies you will find in the south! A little overpriced. $4.50 for a tiny side of pasta salad and the sandwiches are $13 but fresh and delicious.

Janice F.

Yelp
Picked up a tray to feed 10 for a family gathering. Excellent job with the sandwiches, condiments and the packaging of the food. And, gave us cookies since it was our first time ordering! Excellent hoagies! Give them a try, you won't regret it! And thanks again for the excellent food and service!

Rob S.

Yelp
Awesome. Always fresh. Definitely recommend to anyone. Freshly sliced meats. Nothing pre-sliced

Shawn L.

Yelp
Definitely would not be back!! Due to the incompetent staff. I orders a large sandwich, 2 bags chips & drink spend over $40 dollars and gave a tip. As I was at the table eating my lunch the employee realizes she forgot and/or failed to ring up the chips. She approached me very loud, aggressive and was very confrontational stating I never paid for the chips. I thought surly for that price I paid it was include in my order. I understand if it was a miscommunication/misunderstanding but it could have been handled MUCH differently. I was completely humiliated over a simple 2 bag of chips. The way it was handled is unacceptable, rude, unprofessional and was uncalled for. I will NEVER be back.

Rod H.

Yelp
Food was good, not great. Long wait for order was horrible, not even close to just ok. Then the order was botched, since one of the sandwiches was wrong. Didn't find out until I got home, as it was delivered wrapped in a bag in a crowded waiting area. Quality control is obviously not high on the list here. Too bad, was hoping to find a new choice.

Patrick J.

Yelp
Greatest subs on the planet! Facts, True story, no joke! (I needed more words to finish the review)
