"Being that it’s firmly in the Downtown Danville ‘burbs, Primo’s is the best family-friendly sports bar option around. The menu is centered around their signature pizzas (including GF, dairy-free, and cauliflower crust pies), there are apps for days, a range of salad options, and then some. There are 39 TVs both indoors and on the handsome outside patio, plus 35 beers on draft, including five new ones added each week to always keep things fresh." - Adrian Spinelli

I've been in the area for years though I've never been here until a few weeks ago. The vibe is awesome, tvs everywhere, great pizza, fun service staff, good beer selection. The outdoor seating area is huge! Most of it is covered. The only issue is the limited street parking

Google
Great atmosphere with a ton of beers on tap but overall the pizza just wasn’t great. It wasn’t bad. Pizza never usually is but there’s so much better pizza out there.

I set up an outing for my son's 21st birthday at Primos. Everyone was extremely accommodating and helpful. Service was excellent and friendly. And when another customer said their group did something, "questionable", management took it in stride and handled it very well. After the event was over, I (and my son) was extremely pleased with the evening. Thank you Primos.

Google
Truly unfortunate what we just went through. After years of coming here, today we just got the worst service ever. And this was prior a big event the place had. 12/22. We were greeted with no customer service whatsoever. Okay, no problem. Server lady, was also miserable. And would not smile or anything, again. No problem. Ordered two beers, got them. They were arm but I can deal with that. It’s okay. Ordered our meal, appetizer and pizza. After this, we didn’t see our server again. Beers got empty, we were ready to ordered a pitcher or whatever. Appetizer shows up, we ask the lady who brought the appetizer to please have our server come to us as we see her talking to everybody except us. Time passes, no water. No beer. No server. Pizza shows up, we ask kindly again to please have someone check on us. We’re thirty, we need crushed red pepper, napkins. Nothing. Stopped to search for our server lady but she was busy with other tables. She finally shows up, we just ordered the check and paid. We left. And for the very first time ever, we left no tip. Truly terrible. I guess this place should add self serve and just call it a day, that way we enjoy our meal and drinks instead of hunting staff for 65+ minutes.

Google
The manager of this restaurant was extremely rude. Brushed my wife and I off constantly when we just had a simple question. The food was dry and was very disappointing especially considering the fact that it’s double the price.

Love the vibe here! Family friendly, large venue, great service and the best tacos in town! They also play your favorite sports games here!

Google
Very popular and beloved pizza place in downtown Danville. Two large dining areas. The room has huge flat screens with sports always playing. Known for their pizza, lots to choose from. One in particular that caught my eye was Pesto Asiago. Healthy in terms of toppings - homemade Pesto sauce, mozzarella & asiago, fresh spinach, chicken and mushroom. Great deals are the lunch specials. Our the mini (any pizza on the menu) and a refillable soda for $8.95. Waitstaff is friendly and accommodating. Mine was willing to make me an Arnold Palmer (lemonade and iced tea) light on ice with no issue. Nice! Fried zucchini and Mozzarella Sticks are light but gooey. Lots of beers to choose from. Very kid friendly, including a kids menu and high chairs. Lots of kid groups are alway here eating - local sports teams.

PRIMOS! This place has evolved they used to have this small parking lot that was hard to park in and get people to leave, but after COVID they had transformed the parking lot into their own patio! Looks so good now and the atmosphere and feel there is so bright and fun. Go get some good food and drinks and have fun! 5/5

Yelp
Went in on a Friday night when Sam Ramon Valley High had a homecoming football game. Found an open table inside and settled in. Had to flag someone down to get our waitress after 15 mins. After that, things went smooth. Pizza was quick from order to delivery. Tasted great. Nice crunch to the crust, decent amount of toppings. Good flavors. Beers were tasty. Would be nice if their Untappd menu was updated and in sync with what was available in real time. Good experience.

Myles L.

Yelp
Primo's has a wide selection of draft beers, good food, and comfortable outdoor seating. There's even bar seating, big enough for a few. One of downtown Danville's best.

Jenner B.

Yelp
This is an anchor store for downtown Danville. The waiters and waitresses are local good people. No rush. No lines. First come first serve. Good cold beer. There is a secret menu if you ask nicely. Oh yeah! I'll be there tonight!

Thomas M.

Yelp
Primo Pizza is by far the best experience you will have enjoying delicious pizza. I really appreciate how they go above and beyond preparing my take-out pizza with the best crust and freshest toppings. They even will bring the pizza to my car if I cannot find someone to go with me to pick it up. I am disabled so it's difficult for me to park and walk to the pizza parlor. They really provided excellent service and pizza in every way. Highly recommended, you will thank me later!!

Jessica J.

Yelp
Second time I've gotten delivery from here and it will for sure be my last. Ordered a pizza at 6:50 came but 7:35, great timing. However pizza was cold and toppings were wrong. So I called to let them know the pizza was wrong and was told oh yeah looks like we put it in wrong from the original order (peperoncini instead of pepperoni) ok honest mistake ‍, but it was also cold and not even fully cut. Then I was told they were very busy and didn't know when or if they would be able to get me out a new pizza. So by 8:30 when they hadn't come back with a new pizza I assumed I was just out of luck and spent $40 on a pizza that was wrong and cold. Then suddenly at almost 9pm they showed up with a new pizza which was nice but also too little too late.

Sammie C.

Yelp
Perfect outdoor hangout spot. Gets really busy at random times, but this last Sunday at 2 was less than half busy. Haven't eaten here, but drinks menu is great. Mixed drinks are great and beer menu in phenomenal.

Ranie A.

Yelp
Casual fun environment. Lots of TVs for sports entertainment. Outdoor seating area good for all kinds of entertainment, large groups, groups with kids Inside area is spacious. They have sections indoors or outdoors if you want to host a small or large group gathering. Lastly they have happy hour everyday 3 to 6pm.

Laurna B.

Yelp
If I could give 10 stars I would Chris and his team did an excellent job with accommodating my party of 70 for my son's first birthday party!! I really appreciated their hospitality and generosity with opening their space to us. The outdoor patio is a really fun atmosphere! Miranda, our server for our party was so attentive and the service was great, top notch. Everyone raved about the food! Will definitely throw another party there in the years to come and will continue to give them my business. A Danville kid myself, this place is such a town staple and it was so nostalgic hosting my son's party there. THANK YOU PRIMOS! You guys ROCK!

Javier H.

Yelp
So we went bowling after bowling it was pizza time never tried this place always wanted to glad I did it's good pizza a lot bambino in Concord crust was great I like the thick crust we ordered pineapple and sausage black olives it was very tasty we had 5 in the group they ordered a chicken Caesar salad looked good and French fries and a soup it looked nice and thick a minestrone lots of vegetables . The help was very attentive nice place heaters were going it was cold out I eould definitely go back

Jack W.

Yelp
My wife and I just moved to Danville. We went to Primo's on a Saturday for lunch. I had the house burger. She had the Caesar Salad and the wings. The food was pretty good. The service was lousy! Although the waiter was friendly, the rest of the staff was awful. They delivered our wings to the wrong table, twice! We had to wait over half an hour to finally get the wings. By then, the burger and the salad were long finished. We had to ask for a fork, a spoon, and napkins separately, numerous times. I finally had to walk up to the bar to get napkins. When I waved the napkins at the young lady who said she'd bring us napkins, she looked clueless. It's cute hiring local youngsters as busboys and busgirls. On the upside, you're helping the local youths. On the downside, you're going to get your share of youngsters who just ain't cut out for the service industry. The hour plus we spent at Primo's, we saw one young busboy busting his behind cleaning tables, serving food. We also saw here other busgirls doing as little as they could.

Yelp
Came for brunch on Sunday- food had no flavor, service slow- kids running around all over the place- overpriced for the quality of drink and food- definitely will not be back.

Brittney P.

Yelp
I ordered carryout for lunch with friends. The employees are very nice and we were asked by different people if we've been helped. The pizza WOW!. I mean I only ordered a cheese pizza but it's the best cheese pizza around. It's exactly how I would want my cheese pizza. They didn't skimp out on the cheese at all. The other two pizza's we got were great as well! The personal pizza could feed two people for sure. Can't wait to come back and sit at the restaurant for happy hour!

Dave F.

Yelp
The pizza I ordered was very poor. The Coors light beer was flat, someone forgot to change the keg, Had about 1/3 the normal carbonation. at $7 should have dumped it out immediately. Attention to detail and quality control seems to be missing. I remember I used to like the pizza here but last nights pizza was the worst pizza I can remember having in a long time. No flavor plus the extra topping of Jalapeno I ordered was not cooked, it was just about 30 plus slices of raw Jalapeno thrown on top to the point that all you could see was green! Impossible to eat. Whoever is the head pizza maker who should be inspecting every pizza that goes out to a table might need to be retrained. At $36 for the pizza basically had to just forget about enjoying a nice pizza. Gave 2 stars because at least the waitress was nice.

Matt G.

Yelp
I will never stop coming here as long as Drew is the owner. Great people, great food, great times. If you like beer and sports, then this is the place for you. Keep doing what you're doing.

Christine O.

Yelp
Service was super friendly, great beers on tap and we loved the Hawaiian pizza! Very family friendly so there's a little something for everyone. Will be back!

J G.

Yelp
The staff is super friendly and a good place to watch a game. Great pizza and a good beer selection!

Randy B.

Yelp
Great vibe, well, very noisy. Everyone in town is here along with their clan of kids. Not that there is anything wrong with that, but if you don't have some to bring, stay far away. The have a good amount of drafts, both by the pint and pitcher. They've done a good taking over the small parking lot with a big ol' tent filled with tables and chairs and TV's all around. But not a sport bars by my standard, not with the sound of game (s) turned off, and a low level of music playing. The MENU mainly has burgers, pizza, and pastas. I tried a Medium Combination Pizza, and it was average at best at a premium price. However, I did have a local brew, Calicraft Tiki Time Tropical Wheat -- and it was really good, so good I had a second! I also had an order of "Cini Bites", free with Yelp check-in. It was enormous, maybe 25, puffy bites of dough fried up with a little cinammon sugar atop. Problem was not enough sweetness, and not fresh oil so it had a bit of savory flavor likely from frying up some fries or chicken strips. I don't plan to come here again.

Yelp
Legitimately the best place to get food in Danville, great vibes and tremendous service

Mark E.

Yelp
Just wanted to say anther GREAT sunday watching football and hanging out great people. The staff is always amazing and the food great. Thank you to the Primos and the staff

Chris H.

Yelp
Great Service. Was. Fun for the kids too to watch sports and hang out after practice. The food was great. I recommend the Hawaiian pizza. Chill relaxed atmosphere where the locals from Alamo and Danville seem to hang out.

Laurel T.

Yelp
Love Love Love Primo's! Super kid friendly! Great place if you have a large gathering! Love how they support all the local athletic teams! Can't say enough good things about Drew's crew!

Dean L.

Yelp
I can't say enough about Drew and his fantastic staff. Always welcoming and friendly. The food is consistently great. Without hesitation Drew and Primos jumped in and donated to our charity event. Located at the gateway to Downtown Danville. Don't miss it.

Chet B.

Yelp
Ordered a pizza and salad. Pizza not what we ordered. When we called them they acknowledged that and made not effort to give a hoot to make it right. Too many other options with good pizza and customer service that cares.

Daniel C.

Yelp
Doordash review. Pizza contains all the essential food groups and makes for a quick, satisfying dinner with easy cleanup. The combined impact of COVID-19 SIP and having a newborn with his own schedule (i.e., which translate to OUR schedule) means less time to cook, eat, and clean dishes. We are blessed (or cursed!) with tons of pizza options in my neighborhood, so this time we opted for Primo's for delivery. Its an established restaurant in downtown Danville, and some day I look forward to dining in. Our food was excellent. Highly recommend their Godfather Pizza. A small is still pretty big and can feed one real hungry person or two light eaters. Thick-cut sausage, beefy mushrooms, and generous amounts of firm mozzarella and loads of basil and tomato slices. The crust was pleasantly chewy and managed to hold all the toppings. A Goldilocks crust: not paper-thin where everything falls apart nor overly thick where its too filling. Overall low to medium oiliness - another plus in my book. Also good are the small fried chicken wings, dry style which is similar to Chinese salt and pepper style. You get two sauces (cool ranch and a spicy red sauces) along with carrots and celery. Note that besides pizza, Primo's seem to offer a wide range of pastas, salads, burgers, wraps, and various fried veggies.

Melissa V.

Yelp
Food is always good, service is mostly great! Love supporting a local business and they make it a point to support our schools, which I love. It's very loud though, I recommend sitting outside. Still loud but not as bad.

Bob A.

Yelp
Disappointing service! Not enough servers to take orders! Said hello and then forgot about us. Have a loyalty program but staff doesn't know how to deal with it. Booooooo!

Laverne S.

Yelp
Pizza is fantastic here. They also serve a large variety of food (wings, burgers, pasta, soup, salads), something for everyone. Plenty of space to accommodate large parties. Has long tables on the inside and bench seats on the outside with heat lamps. Food came out pretty quickly and the wait staff was excellent. Checked on our party multiple times to make sure everything was okay.

Rocci B.

Yelp
Great pizza, pasta and salads ! Consistently good, perfect atmosphere to have a beer and meal, and highly recommended !

Theresa R.

Yelp
Wonderful place to watch the game! Lots of outdoor seating. We sat outside and felt perfectly safe. War Eagle!

Nicole A.

Yelp
We absolutely LOVE Primos! Everyone is really nice and efficient AND they remember our dog by his name We go almost once a week, so much on the menu, I change it up everytime. Thanks guys for always taking such good care of us, see you soon

Collin M.

Yelp
Location of this place is awesome right in the middle of town with a great patio. The service was great as it was a hot day and the waitresses did a great job keeping the water filled. Pizza was solid. Had a great time

Luke Y.

Yelp
Really cool hangout spot for friends and family. Really nice staff and management. Overall a great place to grab some pizza and wings.

Sand P.

Yelp
Pretty nice ambiance, other than that, nothing good. Food is decent, but the prices reflect the financial bearings of the Danville community--don't expect fast food for cheap around here. Service is okay, but administered by a bunch of high schoolers and underpaid staff with attentuated collective efficacy as the store owner cannot comprehend why anyone with dissenting political views would work for his business. Treats staff like subordinates. They discourage discussions with other employees on what they like and dislike about the place--these kinds of discussions are immediately met with hostility. Most of delivery fee does NOT go to drivers; most drivers' gas is not sufficiently paid for. This business operates atop the risk that delivery drivers taking on the road, the deterioration of their vehicle, and the intentional ineffectuality of their staff in making demands. Even as a restaurant in one of the 25 richest towns in the state, they pay below the fast food standard of $20/hour minimum--staff only work there for tips and management exploits that. Uses the cheap labor and will replace anyone who wants fair treatment or flexibility.

Jason D.

Yelp
Another 3 star pizza of Dan Ramon. The staff was fine. I ordered a thin crust pizza. What I got was not thin crust. It may have looked the same as the other pizzas. When the waitress brought it out to me I asked if that was the thin crust and she said yes. It was regular crust. It was your stock standard white bread dough without much flavor. It had no snap and it had no crunch. It was even soggy in a few places. I would not have tried to hold it up to see how much droop was in it. The sauce was just like the sauce of the other pizza places I have tried around here. It was scant and had few spices in it. The cheese was ok. The mushrooms were ok. When I asked for hot pepper, the kind you usually get in a shaker, I was given just one packet. I needed both the pepper shaker and the parm shaker to get past this. The best thing about it was that it cost less than the other pizzas from those other places. Would I eat here again? Yes but not soon. Was the pizza any good? Sure but it wasn't anything to get excited about either. To get an idea of what I want but cannot get in any restaurant that I know of around here in the land of be yourself but be like others. It has a crunch and it has a snap. It is a thin cracker like crust because it is in fact a cracker. I probably could not even get this down town if I wanted to pay a lot for it. Here is a photo of what I do in my own microwave oven. Good, Fast, and Cheap. BTW, in Salem, Oregon I once ate a pizza that had corn flour on the bottom of the pizza crust. That crust was thin and crunchy. So it must be possible. That was long ago.

Scott B.

Yelp
Ordered chicken parm. breading tasted nasty...was close to a ritz cracker crust consistency, chicken was over cooked. pasta was cooked well, but sauce was a tad to sweet. Not terrible, just ok. Honestly I wanted a sandwhich, but they don't make it. They make a meatball sub, but can't figure out how to get the chicken into the same bun. best of luck fellas I suspect the pizza is the draw.

Hannah F.

Yelp
Shelby M was very attentive and gave us a great experience. She had really good customer service and communication. She was really nice and good at her job with a contagious smile on her face. She did a great job!! Love her

Chris B.

Yelp
Primos is a Danville staple and the type of wholesome neighborhood spot you want to dine with your family at. This is mostly due in part to the Ownership and management team. Both the owner Drew and GM Chris are heavily involved in the community outside of the restaurant and it shows in the type of atmosphere they bring to it. When you eat there, you feel like part of the neighborhood. And it doesn't hurt that the food is phenomenal.

Teresa B.

Yelp
Primo's is our go-to pizza place in Danville. It has a great location in the heart of downtown that's very easy to get to, right off of the Diablo 680 exit. Parking will never be a problem. Primo's has a dedicated parking lot with a few spots that are usually full, but there's plenty of street parking and a huge free lot across the street, behind the clock tower. There's plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, including a bar section. We usually grab a table in the bar section, where we can watch sports on their several TVs. The classic combination pizza is our favorite. It comes with a generous healing of toppings and the large is enough to feed three hungry adults. Primo's also has daily happy hour pricing from 3pm-6pm. The last time we were there, there was a hand-written sign with a list of beers that had special pricing, $5 a pint or $13 a pitcher. Our server pointed to the sign to call our attention to it. It sounded like a great deal so we got a pitcher of the Prohibition Ale. Halfway through our meal, our server informed us that the pricing on the sheet was wrong and that it was $18 a pitcher, not $13. He was friendly about it and we didn't want to make a fuss. I just wish they offered to honor the $13 price for the pitcher that we had already ordered and mostly consumed. Oh, well. Mistakes happen and our server may not have felt he had the authority to make that customer concession. Overall though, Primo's is a terrific place for a family or friends meal, or even a fun date.

Yelp
Best Italian food at the lake- Everything is great and impeccable service. Suggest go have lunch with Lauren for lunch. Jim is also a great guy. do not miss this place. Reasonably priced for quality Italian food.

Xenia S.

Yelp
Worst pizza experience ever! I ordered a simple pepperoni XL (18") with a bit of extra sauce. 1st they delivered a 14" with sauce on top of the cheese...yuk! So I called, complained, and they sent their do-over... the box was heavy and wet, too. Vengeance, this looks like. Unbelievable, right? We just couldn't eat the darn thing. Would you?

Manny E.

Yelp
They have a great meatball sandwich not just Pizzas. The wife loves their grilled chicken sandwich with avocado.

Serge A.

Yelp
Pros: The serving staff are friendly. Prices are reasonable. Also, lots of TVs on the walls if you're into sports. Cons: The food is bad. Like dive bar bad. The nachos had no flavor--you know the taste of cooked ground beef without even salt added? Imagine that dominating your nachos because there's hardly any cheese or salsa on there to compensate. And I was less than impressed with the side of sour cream that had the texture of whipped butter. Anyway, I had to return them for something else--there was no way I was going to eat something that bland or poorly put together. I politely asked to return the nachos and ordered the tater tot dish instead. Unfortunately, that was little better. Again, hardly any cheese came with it. I also was given ranch instead of the sour cream the menu said it came with. (Note about the ranch: it was very runny, like it was watered down. That makes quite the bad impression, sort of like those places that put out Heinz ketchup bottles but fill them with the cheap no-name stuff.) Our table also ordered potato skins, which came out suspiciously quickly (like less than 2 minutes after we ordered them) but didn't have the characteristics of having just come out of the oven or broiler or whatever you make skins in. More like they sat under a heat lamp waiting for someone to order them. Gross. We also ordered buffalo wings, but those were ok, at least. Altogether, pretty disappointing experience. And to top it off, the check still had the nachos on it. The place was pretty busy when we arrived and people looked like they were having a good time, so who knows, maybe it's just me. Or maybe they were having an off night in the kitchen. Either way, there are too many other options in Danville for me to want to go back. If you decide to eat here, I hope your experience is better than mine.

Yelp
Owner and manager are insufferable and pizza is awful. Even the beer selection is lacking. Try to avoid this place if you can!

Josh H.

Yelp
Primo's isn't just a great restaurant, it serves as a community center. A place that brings everyone together with great food, great service and great community service. I've never had to wait to be attended to even on the busiest of days. Their management really runs a well oiled machine. The new covered patio is an awesome outdoor space with plenty of heaters. Not only is the pizza good try the Taco's!

Chudail S.

Yelp
Great stuffed potatoes!!! Great service and love the ambience as can get my dog! The pizzas are amazing

Pat C.

Yelp
Ordered door dash. the onion rings were inedible - obviously they had been cooked and reheated. The pizza was mediocre.

Jules S.

Yelp
Decent food with good drinks. More so like coming here because of the convenience and socialization. Fun place, and good bar eats!

Chad G.

Yelp
Not a bad spot for pizza and a beer. Very casual and a popular spot for kids sports teams and families. I've been here several times over the past few years and although often friendly, the service is inconsistent. Most of the time it has been fine, but occasionally it has been sub-par (long time waiting to order, hard to get server's attention, etc.) The consistent things are that it is loud, which may be a positive or negative depending on the experience you want, and the pizza is ok -not bad but not better than the average chain pizza joint (I do have to say that their burgers are very good). They did a nice job turning the parking lot into a tented outdoor space during the Covid, which was often very busy with diners.

C N.

Yelp
Great food. Great service! The atomosphere during the sporting events, national or local, is unmatched in this area.
