When we first arrived, the group of waiters and waitresses seemed uninterested in helping us. It was almost like they were drawing straws to see who got the shortest one and had to work next. Before we even sat down, we were asked what we wanted to drink.
Once we got seated, we tried the chips and salsa, which were underwhelming to say the least. The chips were stale, and the salsa lacked flavor.
When we finally ordered our drinks, the frozen margarita had a lake-water taste. We told the server, and she brought us an on-the-rocks margarita, which wasn't much better. We showed up on a Wednesday, knowing it was supposed to be enchilada specials. When we asked the server, she had no idea and stated she thought Wednesday was the one day without a special. Come to find out, every weekday has some form of food special.
We ordered our food, and once it arrived, it was cold. The chicken in the enchiladas was impossible to cut through.
Lastly, I'm not sure what the dress code is for a sit-down family Mexican restaurant, but with my child, wife, and mother, I wasn't expecting to feel like I had taken them down the street to Hooters. They need a standard for uniforms, because it is not a family-friendly environment.
Disappointed, to say the least. And not to mention, as we walked out, there was a baby in a high chair stacked three high at the bar.
Prior experiences were good, but this most recent visit was a disappointment--again, to say the least.
