AMAZING! I had no idea where to start and was completely overwhelmed when I was tasked to find a charter for my mother’s ash scattering. My siblings and I would be traveling from 3 different states to California and had no idea what we would need to do. I reached out to Prince Charters through the website and Donna immediately called. When she got my voicemail she sent a very detailed email and from there the communication was just as concise. Donna took care of all the details and was ALWAYS so kind! When we arrived for the charter we were greeted by an equally kind and welcoming gentleman who was there to guide us to the boat. He wasn’t going to be with us on the charter and was only there to show us to the boat, yet was so nice and welcoming. Once we arrived we were greeted by our two Captains, Captain Doug and Captain (I’m so sorry your name escapes me but you were so awesome and you run whale watching charters during the week!), they were great! We were given the initial safety briefing and were underway. From the start it always felt like we were cruising with friends and never felt like a stuffy business charter. We had 18 family members total and it was completely relaxed and laid back…..EXACTLY as mom would’ve wanted it! As we cruised my memories flooded back of the year her and I lived together in California and I felt like she guided me to this charter. We even saw a Thresher shark jump out of the water! As we approached the point of the cruise to spread her ashes the Captain lowered her basket. I was in awe of the beauty of it all and it was nothing I had imagined. The flower petals floated across the water as her ashes cascaded through the water. My daughter said, “mom, they looked like they had sparkles in there” . My brother, sister & I were given the space to just say goodbye to our mom, they respected our space, our grief and our family. They treated us like friends, not customers. They welcomed us on their boat and gave us the freedom to be with our family and relax. I never felt like I was in someone else’s space, I felt comfortable and at peace. My mom would’ve loved being there…..she was there. My daughter did say she felt like she saw my mom on one side and my grandpa on the other when my brother, sister and I were at the rail. As we cruised back to Huntington a group of dolphins swam past…..I have never seen so many together at once and I knew my mom was happy!! THANK YOU!!!

Once we arrived, we held a simple yet heartfelt memorial service. We opened with a prayer, then gently sang “Amazing Grace”, letting the words and melody drift across the water. We then began the ash scattering, using a combination of hand scattering and a basket lowering method, accompanied by the release of rose petals—a poignant and beautiful image that we’ll never forget. Afterward, the Captain respectfully circled the memorial site three times, giving us space and time to say our final farewells. At the conclusion, the ship’s bell was rung eight times, a maritime tradition known as the “last watch,” signifying that our loved one’s earthly journey had come to an end. As we made our way back through the harbor, we were comforted by the gentle pace of the return journey, allowing us to reflect and find solace. The Captain and one crew member conducted the entire service with great care, dignity, and sensitivity, treating the occasion not as a business transaction, but as a sacred moment of farewell. It was evident that the founder of this company began with a heartfelt mission—to turn love into a ministry of comfort for the bereaved. My family and I want to thank you for a wonderful charter for the Celebration of Life for my grandmother. We appreciated the dignified way the Captain and First Mate Nate assisted us. They were professional, helpful and kind. We were glad the reliable Omega Society referred us, as we had confidence and trust with them.

We had the absolute best time on our sunset cruise on their luxury yacht Journey! The captain and crew were amazing-we were met in the parking lot and led to the boat once everyone arrived, they captured some of the best photos before leaving the dock. (He understood the assignment - thank you so much 😁) They took such wonderful care of our group and were super mindful of my sister’s motion sickness (she was good the entire time). Even though we spent the majority of our time on the bow, having the different spaces for our group to spread out was fantastic. We had a separate space to set up food and the full service bar below deck was great. Booking with Donna was such a breeze, she super friendly and responded quickly to our questions and concerns. I was invited on a birthday celebration on one of the Prince Charter boats. It was such a great time! We were on the journey and it was HUGE!!! Complete with a bar on the 3rd level. Captain Doug and his wife Donna were so sweet and kind. It was a cold day in January and they even had nautical themed blankets for us to cuddle up in. I highly recommend!

From the moment I found this charter, I knew it would be great! They have a couple of boats to choose from and lots of times throughout the week. I chatted with Donna a little bit when I realized I had used a credit card that had been hacked and I had to update my contact info. I want to channel her relaxed and efficient demeanor because she put me at ease and made me realize it was going to be a great charter. We got there about 30 minutes early and met Lauren, our Captain. She is fun and a great driver. She got us safely around the harbor and had so many great facts about the area. I fully and highly recommend this crew. It was my sister's bachelorette weekend and this was a great way to spend a couple hours of relaxation!

Our Captain, Steve and first mate, Nate were incredibly helpful and kind while our family said goodbye to our mom. Even Donna in the office was responsive and communicative from the get go. I researched many companies who would help us scatter our moms ashes and am very glad to have chosen Prince Charters. That you to the whole team for making a difficult time a bit easier.

Prince Charters did an amazing job with helping us do a memorial at sea for our Mother. It was very clean, comfortable, and quaint! I could ask for a better way to honor our Mother. The crew was extremely helpful and understanding.

The boat was just perfect for what we were looking for. The classic look of the circa 1948 boat was a plus. The skipper Lauren was very nice and Nate the crew was also. The experience of scattering the ashes was respectfully done by the crew by lowering them into the water in a basket surrounded by petals. It was very nice. Overall...it was a positive experience that I would recommend.

We just hosted our engagement party on the yacht charter and I can honestly say it was a flawless experience from start to finish. When we arrived, the staff helped us with everything - from finding parking, to loading up the boat with all of our food (we had a LOT!) and even helping us decorate and set everything up, as well as coordinating a champagne toast! Reina was a wonderful bartender and I received many compliments about how chatty and welcoming she was with our guests. We are so happy with the service we received, and the ride itself was smooth and so much fun. I would recommend Prince Charters to anyone who wants a seamless and beautiful charter!

I used the sea burial service for my ex-husband yesterday from Prince Charters yesterday. I first spoke to Donna regarding the service; she was very helpfulI, patient and compassionate. I was also so impressed with the captain and the deck officer. They were professionaland proficient. The boat was immaculately clean, and the journey was serene and peaceful.

Very professional and easy boat ride out of Huntington Harbor. Donna made this very easy to coordinate a day and time. Also she was able to promptly answer any questions I had.

We had an ash scattering ceremony with Prince Charters. Donna was wonderful to communicate with from start to finish. The deckhand Ryan was polite, professional, and showed great attention to detail. He helped everyone find parking and was attentive throughout the ceremony. Highly recommend!

Surprise birthday for Rafa went well on board the vintage yacht for 30 people. It started a bit warm below deck but once She got moving we were comfortable. The restroom was clean although it had the faint smell of of old urine. A generous spray down with an urine neutralizer on a regular basis should do the trick. I had my travel-size PooPourri so my experience was saved. There was a bar available. We opted for potluck style meal/food for an emphasis on the bday boys faves. Two hours goes by quickly. But we did go out where the channel becomes the ocean and watched the sunset too!

We booked their service for ash scattering service for my parents and they did an amazing job. Donna was so kind and helpful during this difficult moments. We initially booked the arrangement for mom's ash scattering, however, within 2 weeks my dad also passed and Donna graciously offered for us to be able to reschedule and scatter them both together at a future date with no additional cost. She also upgraded us to a bigger boat. Their ashes were combined in a basket with petals of roses for us to scatter. I'm so grateful for Donna and Prince Charters for the beautiful moment and arrangement to send off our parents' ashes. The captain and the crew were very helpful and respectful. We hope to book the service again for happier occasion. Thank you again.

My wife and I got married on the luxury yacht (Journey) and it was the most incredible, perfect experience we could have dreamed of. Donna was so friendly and helpful, accommodating our every request and even giving specific recommendations on where the best place to have our ceremony was. Captain Jimmy and the team as well as Reyna and crew at the bar were all fantastic. I would 100% recommend anyone to take this experience, the value is incredible and it makes for a wonderful wedding venue if you're doing something on the smaller more casual and intimate side. Captain Doug and Crew member Jake were beyond amazing. They were so kind and patient and understanding. We booked this to spread the ashes of our loved one. Parking is in the Yacht Club parking lot and it's about $3 per hour to park. Brings a credit card. The yacht has a bar and alcohol available for purchase along with water, Coke, Diet Coke, and Sprite. We were allowed to bring our own bottled water as well. We had food catered to our event. Captain Doug is such a skilled Captain. The water was fighting us a bit and he did a great job!! He was so friendly and a great conversationalist. Crew Member Jake was so incredibly kind with the perfect attitude and demeanor for the somber event. He had a gentle smile the entire time. He kept a great eye on the older passengers and was quick to help before they even realized their legs were about to come out from under them. There are blankets on board also. Such a great personal touch. Thank you again Captain Doug and Jake!

The yacht was perfect and the captain and first mate did an outstanding job with clear instructions, kind communication and respected our wishes for our dad's scattering of ashes at sea. The lowering of ashes with the rose petals was beautiful. We brought extra roses with us so each of our party to place a rose at sea with his ashes making it a very heartfelt send off. Donna was so responsive from the moment I inquired about the scattering at sea. We first connected on Yelp, then she called to confirm the booking and then emails were sent with detailed information. Absolutely blown away by this company! We have been planning our wedding for over a year and because of covid-19, our main ceremony and reception had to be postponed. We still wanted to get married of course and we last decided last second to get married on a boat. Prince Charters went above and beyond with everything and were so accommodating! I have used Prince Charters twice for Ceremony at Sea. First for my stepdad and the second time for my mother. Both times I was very satisfied with Prince Charters. Used Prince Charters to scatter the ashes of my father. I was searching other websites and liked the vessel that would be used if we went with Prince Charters. I was also surprised that their cost was about the lowest I saw. Things only got better from there. Over the phone they were very professional, respectful and answered all the questions I had, being the first time I had needed this service. I felt the scattering of remains was being handled and I could focus on other matters dealing with the passing of my father. The day of the ceremony continued to be a breeze. Parking was very easy and Capt. Doug and crew had the boat tied up and waiting for us to show up. The boat was beautiful and looked better in person than the photographs. (Something you rarely see). I had a music playlist all set up on my phone and it took just a few seconds to have it coming through the boat's speakers. The actual scattering was very traditionally nautical with the ringing of the bell and circling the site. Doug and Donna (Capt. and crew) had everything very organized and were very nice. My family felt this was following my father's wishes to a T. We all were very happy with Prince Charters.

We had a surprise birthday party for my husband. It was absolutely perfect! The crew was very attentive. The "Journey" is a beautiful vessel. We had 24 people with plenty of room to move around and everyone had a great view. The total cost was pricey but the experience and memories were PRICELESS.

This was my first time doing an ashes at sea scattering and I would choose this over a funeral any day!!! It was so peaceful and beautiful. I booked the larger boat "Journey" for 10 family members at 11 am on a Sunday in July and the weather was perfect. It was nice to have room for all of us to move around and not be packed into a tiny boat. The captain Jimmy and first mate (i forgot his name ) were very professional and accommodating. The first mate helped us with parking and carrying our belongings to the boat. We played my dad's favorite songs on the boat's bluetooth speaker and were allowed 15 min to say our final thoughts. The whole process took about 1.5 hrs. When my dad was put into the water, the first mate rang the bell, and we circled him 3 times. It was overcast and the clouds opened up right when he was in the water. It was perfect and such a magical moment, I would recommend this to anyone who is looking for a funeral alternative. Out of all the ashes at sea scattering companies I checked out, BOOK THIS ONE you wont regret it. Its nice to be out in nature and give my dad back to the earth, plus we saw dolphins! You also get the exact coordinates of where your loved one is from the owner.

I had to arrange an ash scattering service for my mom who passed away of Covid19, Donna sympathetically and thoughtfully helped me with the difficult details. My wife went and visited the yacht, so that we could have a better idea of what we were doing, Donna answered all her questions. The Burial at Sea ceremony was touching and better than I expected. The description given when the reservation was made was the service that was provided. It was perfect. It was easy to book. Donna made it easy to make the reservation and Captain Mario and Deckhand, Allee were friendly, respectful and made sure that we understood the ceremony. We had a playlist and appreciated the ability to play music that was meaningful to our family. I highly recommend Prince Charters!

He was prompt and timely with all his responses, and all the information he sent about the location of the dock, etc., were very helpful. One girl in our party got lost regardless, because Apple Maps is one of the worst programs to ever be invented, but he took the phone and directed her to where we were. The boat is beautiful and reminded me of when I used to sail. It made me want to get a boat of my own, but alas, I cannot yet afford one. I may never be able to afford one -- haha -- but there is still time before I can say so for sure. Snacks and soda were provided. Though we didn't partake in any of the beverages because we brought our own, we ate all the fruit, cookies, crackers, and cheese that was put out. Our favorite was the asiago, and the five of us ate it like we had never before set eyes on cheese. It was quite embarrassing. Mostly, though, we were too busy looking around and enjoying the views and sail for much else. Dough and his wife were delightful and joined in on our conversations and jokes. He even let each of us have a hand at steering the vessel, and we got some great pictures along the way. It was a beautiful day, and I can wholeheartedly recommend his services as we had a lovely afternoon.

It was such a special way to say goodbye to our parents. Donna was so helpful with the arraignments and was available for the many phone calls and questions. The day at sea was perfect. Captain Doug and First Mate Aaron were outstanding. Aaron was gentle and so caring with the handling of the ashes. He even very discreetly made sure I had a little bit of both Mom and Dad to take home with me. It could not have gone any more beautiful. I can't think of a better way to honor your loved ones. The boat was beautifully maintained. There was plenty of room for the 20 of us. I would definitely refer them to anyone celebrating a life or any type of occasion.

We chartered the duffy to give our Clients a chance to see the beautifully decorated homes in Huntington Harbour & All came off the boat bragging about how fabulous the ride was! Captain Trent took groups of 15 every half hour to show them the best symbols of Christmas & Hanukkah decorations visible only from the water! In the span of the evening, 80 of our best Clients enjoyed the special evening returning to our party with renewed Holiday cheer! Thank you Trent & our favorite huge Duffy!

I would like to thank Donna for helping me with planning this wonderful sisterhood trip also thanks to a amazing Captain Gary!!! Who joined in with laughter and awesome conversation. We will definitely be coming back again in the near future.

My family and i recently used Prince Charters for an ash scattering of our parents. The captain and Gabe were kind and accommodating to all our needs for which we are very grateful. We were able to customize the ceremony and bring our own music to make the event even more special. The yacht Journey was a beautiful boat , comfortable and had plenty of space for all of us. Prince Charters truly gave us a unique experience and meaningful way to say goodbye to our parents. With the captain's expertise in maneuvering the boat, circling 3 times around the site and ringing the bell 8 times signaling last watch gave us some sense of peace in carrying out our parents last wishes. I also, want to thank Donna for all the detailed information she provided which helped us a lot in having everything run smoothly that day. I would highly recommend them for any special occasion you may be planning. You won't be disappointed!

This was a huge win on Yelp for me! These good reviews about Prince Charters did not lie. We had the best experience!! I booked their Luxury Yacht for 30 people for my husband's birthday and everyone had the best time. We left the dock at 6p and did a 2.5 hour ride and it went by so fast, I wish I just would've went with the 3 hour ride but none the less it was so beautiful seeing the sunset from the boat. Yes it gets cold at night BUT they even offer blankets and that was such a nice touch. Donna helped me with all my questions and booking. She was so sweet and made sure everything was good to go prior to the day of our charter. The captain and crew were AWESOME! Bartender was great. For the price of everything this was way better and a lot more intimate than doing a party at home. Our friends were so impressed and my husband absolutely loved it. We will definitely book another charter in the future.

What to do when it's my Husband's birthday and I planned an outdoor party at the beach. But it's gonna rain ... I have used prince charters before and had heard they recently added a larger boat to their fleet so I called to see if they could accommodate. Communication was excellent and the next thing you know I booked our trip and told our friends to meet at the dock. The ride was beautiful and peaceful. "Journey" is the name for this new addition to their fleet. There's a ton of seating room both inside and out and it's super clean. Captain Doug and his crew were great hosts. Really great people that make you feel like family.

Captain Robert and mate Margo were absolutely perfect for our father's ash scattering. We had worries of having to share a boat with other families, or not having a good service to honor our dad when we started looking for a charter. However, Prince Charters has been professional and provided exceptional service since the moment I emailed asking questions. The Alexandria is a beautiful boat, and we couldn't be more grateful and happy with their crew and service. They were kind, and courteous the entire time and made our intimate ceremony a good memory.
