Prince Street Pizza and Irv’s Burgers Are Coming to Pacific Beach | Eater San Diego

"Expanding to Pacific Beach in late June as part of the Mission + Garnet complex, I'm looking forward to a second San Diego outpost of Prince Street Pizza, the New York–born pizzeria founded in Nolita in 2012. After debuting in the Gaslamp in early 2023 and branching out to Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Miami, and Toronto, the shop is best known for Sicilian pies and square pizzas such as the popular Spicy Spring—topped with fra diavolo sauce, pepperoni, mozzarella, and pecorino romano—though it also bakes round Neapolitan-style pizzas. The new location will operate a dedicated walk-up window that stays open until 3 a.m. on weekends." - Candice Woo

Some of the best deep dish pizza you will ever have with high-quality toppings. Service is definitely not the friendliest and they do take their time, but I’ve never once been disappointed by the pizza. It stays very consistent. I highly recommend the naughty pie, which has pepperoni, a few cheeses like ricotta and then a honey glaze on top. It’s open late so makes for some great post bar food. Super pricey $45 for 1 pizza but I’d say it’s well worth. My picture is just a slice which I think is $8. I’ll never stop coming it’s that good.

Very clean and delicious, a man with beautiful braided hair will always help you there. Unfortunately my favorite pizza was not ready for tonight and I had to buy only two slices. It's always worth trying.

The pizza was ok but I wish the white cheese pizza had more salt flavor, it was bland. And the pepperoni slice tasted sweet which didn’t sit right with my taste buds. I wish this restaurant had tables to sit at so I didn’t have to walk just to sit somewhere and eat my pizza.

I felt like I am the second-class customer in this store because I ordered too good to go here. The food was decent, but I wouldn’t approve for the attitude of the lady working in the morning on 11 Sep 2025. I went picked up my order at 10:50 before they open the store, and they gave me 3 slices of cold pizza. It looks like they save their night leftovers in the fridge, and put them to the surprise bags for too good to go, which is totally fine to me, since it is an app to prevent food wastes. I asked the lady to heat up my slices, and I was being told they don’t heat up food for too good to go customer. Fine, looks like the store is looking on the practical side of their profit, and differentiate their customers to categories. I was on the road trip that day, so there was no place for me to reheat their pizza slice. I decided to eat the cold pizza, and it wasn’t really a nice experience. When I was about to finish my last slice, I saw another two too good to go customers (it was a couple) eating their slices as well. I asked them whether they are eating cold slices or not, and they told me that the store (only that lady was in the store) HEATED PIZZA SLICES FOR THEM! At that point, I totally felt I was being discriminated, and I hope this is not because of the race. I think the store forgot what is the spirit of joining too good to go, and started to treat too good to go customers differently because of the price we paid. They totally forgot IF WE DIDN’T BUY THEIR LEFTOVERS, THEY HAVE TO DISPOSE THEM AND GET $0! THEY SHOULD BE GRATEFUL FOR THE CHANCE TO MAKE EXTRAS FROM THEIR LEFTOVERS, rather than calculating how much they made from different customers, and treat each customer differently. They got 3 stars from me because the food was decent, even if it was cold. I am not sure I will come back for this store or not, since it is a place too much about numbers and calculations.

Originally from back east, square thick crusted pizza is called Sicilian. Out here there are very few locations that make this. I worked in a pizzeria for many years and made Sicilian pizza. The process is more involved than a simple hand tossed pie. You have to put the dough into a pan. Let it proof, then par bake it. The crust needs to be just right and Prince Street gets it right. The sauces also carry a lot of weight in the pizza flavor, we would use a different sauce for Sicilian than we would for hand tossed. The taste is there with the different sauce options they provide. It costs more, but the quality is there. If you want a cheap pizza, go to Costco, there is very little flavor in that pizza. If you want good flavor, spend the money. Go to Prince Street.

Omg..... I have never been so made a mockery & swindled in my life over a pizza. First, I walked for at least 2 miles to this location after my vehicle went kaput off the nearby expressway. Being famished and thirsty from my walk, I thought a pizza would do me some good. So I stop into PSP and place my order with the nice counter help lady. After viewing the menu and coughing up 50 bucks for the naughty pie, I sat patiently for the only meal I had in the last 2 days. Several minutes later my number came up and I scurried to the pickup area to retrieve my order. Some lady there demanded I leave some tip cheese or pay the consequences. I said, "no thank you" can I please have my pie? Then she began to get rude by sticking her stinky, smelly, smelly feet in my face. Next, she clamped her toes on my nostrils and demanded I go up the street somewhere else to get my pie or pay the price. I have never met people so rude and filthy, I'm never coming back here again.......

Hard to go wrong with Prince Street Pizza. The viral popular pizza from New York City has landed in PB. They actually use a machine to change the pH levels in the water to match that of brother Hudson River, which is why their pizza dough tastes so much better than other places in town. If you haven’t yet, go get your slice!

Called in an order and was quoted 30 min and it was ready on time from when we arrived 28 min later! Only issue was the green machine should have came with black olives but it was still very delicious without it! Kinda awkward asking for a tip over the phone, you gotta experience the service before you get a tip! All in all I can’t wait to come back I love plain cheese so I can’t wait to try the 4 cheese… see you in October! Unless you come to Arizona!
