Just finished Princeville Ranch's "Zip and Dip," a combination of nine zip line adventures, plus swimming in an idyllic fresh water swimming hole and eating a tasty lunch. So here's the review . . . .
Fantastic zip line experiences, with plenty of guidance and instruction for those who have no experience. Top priority of safety, then beauty, fun, and adventure. The swimming hole was like a Hawaii movie set, except it was real. Cool, fresh water, inner tubes, and a jumping rock. And the lunch was delicious.
The unexpected plusses? First, our guides, Troy (Murph) and Emily were delightful, knowledgeable, helpful, lots of fun. They added plnety of extras about island life, flora and fauna, etc. Troy and Emily were great.
Second, the scenery. Yes, you get to do the "Zip and Dip," but in an amazingly beautiful location, a portion of Kauai that most tourists don't get to enjoy. Stunning vistas, mountains, fields of grass, jungle gorges, cloud formations, etc.
If you read along in the reviews, you'll find some who gripe about the cost of the experience. Yes, it's true that this isn't cheap. When I first saw the cost, I wondered if it would be worth it. Now, I know it was well worth it. Glad we risked it. A great family experience (once your kids are at least ten years old and 75 pounds). But a person would have a fine time going solo, too, or as one of a couple.
So, highly recommended! I'd do another adventure with Princeville Ranch for sure.
