"And I also have to say another restaurant that’s newer that I love; I’m going to go there today. My friend Aimee [Hunter] owns it, and it’s called Prism Cafe. They have the best sandwiches. I get the mortadella sandwich, but I add calabrese to it. So it’s like mortadella, provolone, pepperoncini. So good." - Monica Burton

Tucked away on Latimer in The Heights just north of downtown Tulsa, Prism Cafe is a hidden gem! Relaxed, quiet cafe with a good cup of coffee and a limited menu of freshly made sandwiches. The staff was friendly and the vibe is great for a lazy Saturday brunch.

If you’re looking for something quick, this isn’t the place. This is a place for slowness and creativity and community and laughter and great food. Yes, especially great food. The limitations of this space are what make it truly unique. Who else thinks to make perfect eggs with a toaster oven? Here’s a spot to meet friends, make new ones, and maybe, just maybe, find love when you’re least expecting it.

Had a pleasant visit here, and the standout are the beautifully tasty sandwiches. It's a small and even a little quaint venue, but they're shelling out some high quality and lovingly made sammies that are a strong cut above anything else I've ever had in town, even the beloved Trencher's takes second fiddle to Prism. Looking forward to returning and trying something new and hopefully as delicious.

I was looking for a nice little café to have lunch and maybe hang out and read or do some work. This place is perfect. I had the mortadella with caprese. Delicious sandwich with crusty bread and micro greens. I had a lemon ginger kombucha maybe? Tasty and thirst quenching. I finished off with the hot drip coffee. The coffee was smooth, rich and unassuming. Perfect way to finish a nice lunch. I love the atmosphere. It was bright and cheery and definitely had a sense of community. Folks came in and chatted about food, gardening, and community events. I sat and read my book in the sun. It was a wonderful way to welcome the spring.

If you're looking for a cozy spot in Tulsa, this boutique cafe is the place for you. Located in the historic Brady Heights north of downtown, this place has a character all of its own. The menu will change and seating is limited so make reservations.

Yelp
I got familiar with Prism Cafe when they were at Big Bite. They had options & they were good. Seeing that they got a location not too long after that was good to see. The Evan was something I had in mind for a while & I got to try it out. I was slightly heartbroken because I thought the tape on the menu indicated the sandwich was sold out when really the bagel wasn't available. The Evan (which is named / made after Tulsa comedian / legend Evan Hughes) has turkey, havarti cheese, aioli, pepperoncini, cornichons, microgreens & js usually on an everything bagel, they ran out so they put it on a baguette (which was still good & made me want to see how it really is with a bagel). When I bit into the sandwich, there was no escaping the aioli. It went well with the havarti & there was plenty of turkey. What made me happy the most was the greens included (I'm real big on greens). I wanna come back for the brunch. There was a pancake that comes in a skillet. That's all I needed to know, I almost didn't read the rest of the menu. The employees were nice & welcoming.

Yelp
We bought a quart of Prism's butternut squash and rosemary soup to see us through a January snow. It was absolutely delicious! It was so fresh: the staff had just finished making it, and handed me the Mason jar while it was still warm! Their dine-in space is very small.

Yelp
Prism cafe can't be missed when you stop through Tulsa! We had a large group of eight and we were able to sit and eat together since we got there right when it opened at 11, they got slammed shortly after so I'm so glad we got there early! The food is super fresh--locally sourced- extremely yummy! (and they were able to accommodate our allergies and preferences like gluten-free options and oat milk for coffee!) We highly recommend!

Yelp
This is an amazing addition to The Heights. The place has such an unassuming and homey ambiance. There's some limited seating outside and more seating available inside along a bar and some tables as well. The menu isn't very extensive but the options they have are impeccable. They have some breakfast and lunch options with a special brunch menu available on Sundays. You can make a reservation on their website. It's a farm to table concept and the ingredients used are super fresh and everything is made from scratch. The simplicity in their dishes is surprisingly full of flavor. For breakfast, you can't go wrong with their buttermilk biscuits. Their cinnamon buns are fluffy and not overwhelmingly sweet. The tomato, truffle burrata and pesto salad was hands down my favorite. Every bite was absolutely delicious. Finally, their BLT was the first sandwich I've liked in a while. Highly recommend. I'll be coming back to try their brunch for sure. Finally, they have great teas available, including a botanic sparkling tea line that I'm obsessed with. They also have a variety of products for sale towards the restroom. Check out their website for more information on what they carry.

Yelp
Walked in and as soon as we got there the staff all looked at each other and then asked me what I was looking for? I said, "lunch?" They said well, we want to leave early. So we literally got kicked out. I understand it's a holiday, but close the damn store . Don't kick out paying customers. I'm seriously in awe of how we were just treated!

Yelp
Wonderful hidden neighborhood cafe. We went for dinner in a Friday night without a reservation and were seated at bar. Had a glass of the house wine, which was a well balanced Malbec. Husband had the fried chicken, which was super tasty. I had the cod and artichoke puree. This was cooked perfectly and all very fresh. Friendly staff and exceptional food.

Yelp
Chef Amy is such a great host. Darling spit that looks like it is a neighborhood French cafe. The food is amazing! Get the Sterling... you will not be disappointed.

Yelp
We tried this small cafe for the first time today. The ambiance was warm and the food was excellent. We plan on going back.

Yelp
What a well hidden gem. Just enjoyed the freshest tasting high quality sandwiches around. We will definitely be back. Do check the hours as they are only open Wednesday to Saturdays. This quaint restaurant is located in the Heights neighborhood.

Yelp
This place is in a really cool location and offers really interesting dishes that are competently considered. The issue with this restaurant lies in its operational inefficiency. On numerous occasions I found myself waiting for inordinate amounts of time to be served dishes that were made from an assortment of premade options. Apart from one or so kitchen hands, the front-facing workers seem to buzz around with an air of confusion and disorganization. Where this leaves the customer is you end up apologizing for their incompetence; mostly serving yourself; and frustrated by the fact that an hour or more has passed to get something to eat. To make matters worse, the staff felt no pressure to remedy the broken trust. Worse yet, service and food is paid for at the front end, leaving you no real ability to make your tip commensurate upon service. Thus muddying the customer-feedback process. How will they learn to be better? Perhaps they just do not want to know the bitter truth. 3/5. Go on a day when you have a lot of time to spare and a high threshold for patience.

Yelp
We were told about this restaurant at a party and we are glad we went there. It's a very small place but it has big time food and service. I ordered the Caesar salad and my wife ordered the beef tips. Both items were outstanding

Yelp
Would be dope if they added more korean dishes on menu... maybe kimchi pancake? Love how cinnamon roll has orange peel! Some of the entree bit overpriced like 30 for cod seems high

Yelp
Good turkey Sandwhich on an everything bagel and really unique location in the Brady district. I was impressed
