Here’s Where to Eat and Drink in Downtown Detroit

"Situated inside the Hollywood Casino at Greektown, chef Petro Drakopoulous brings a touch of modern updates to the classic steakhouse with a selection entree-sized salads like the chilled lobster salad, Grecian lamb chops, and the prime butcher burger. Opting to hit the gambling floor? Drakopoulous recently added a full food menu at the casino’s Rock Bar, located in the first floor gaming area. This was my second time dining at Prism, and both visits were exceptional! Daniela, along with the rest of the friendly staff took great care of us. Paired with the elegant ambience and delicious food, our Easter dinner was a special experience. I ordered the berry fusion cocktail, which was fruity and refreshing! We started with the arancini, which I highly recommend. The sweetness from the butternut squash sauce was a delightful surprise and paired perfectly with sage! Oh, and of course you can’t go wrong with their amazing, warm bread to start- we went through 2 baskets, it’s that good! I ordered the lobster pappardelle which had a lucious cream sauce that was full of flavor and there were large chunks of fresh lobster. Our table also ordered a ribeye, and New York strip; both were juicy and tender, and the zip sauce that they came with was melt-in-your-mouth… phenomenal. I highly recommend this wonderful spot to celebrate any special occasion!

The food was great...however I thought the lobster tail was a little more tough than I am use to eating. The steak was perfect and the king crab was well worth the cost! I thought the scalap potatoes left a little to be desired in the area of seasoning but the mashed potatoes and the spicy shrimp appetizer were mouth watering. Our server was slow...so slow we were left waiting for our check for over 15 minutes! We were literally the last table in the restaurant and they had turned on all the lights to clean BEFORE we got our check! If it did not take so long to get the check I would have given 4 stars. It is very pricey though so dont go on a budget!

I went to this restaurant based on this app recommendations as it was my 3rd anniversary and I wanted something special. At first, it took us 15 minutes to know the place as it was inside Detroit Casino. It was my fault that I didn't call them immediately. The place was great but not for young people, most of the people there were kind of old and I am fine with it, there was a jazz music and lady singing with it. We ordered Salad, salmon, and cat fish, they were delicious and the price is quite moderate, the only problem I had with the salad as it doesn't suit the price, the salad was about one tomato cut in four pieces, for real! The fish and Salmon were great, no complain at all. We ordered the Carmel desert as well, but it was too small for there price.

In town for a Lions game and planned dinner in advance for after the game. Prism restaurant is on the 3rd floor of the casino at the casino in Greek town. Everything was "as expected" from this fine dinning venue. Atmosphere is upscale, open, and fun. The service was prompt and professional. We started with the wedge salads followed with steaks and all were exceptionally well prepared and delish. As a bonus, Robert Irvine was in the restaurant and stopped at our table for a visit. Highly recommend Prism Steakhouse in Detroits Greektown.

Came here as an early date night with my husband. I ordered the surf and turf with a Caesar salad. My husband got the filet mignon with a baked potato. We both ordered drinks as well. The food was ok. Not nasty but not that good. I was really disappointed. The service was amazing though. Our waiter was so nice and attentive. Maybe we might give this place a second chance but it was a little disappointing.

Went for date night… Loved our waitress, she was very helpful, the set up was romantic, and clean. Loved the small private booths. My steak was between rare and medium, when I originally ordered medium well (a touch of pink). Waited 15min. For our waitress to return to tell her it was prepared wrong, I definitely enjoyed the view of my date enjoying his lamb chops and gulf shrimp (AMAZING). By the time my steak came back it was well and the ends were still bloody. My date finished his food 😒. So I enjoyed the half of steak (he ate the rest) and finally enjoyed the cold potatoes and broccolini. Fresh/hot sides would’ve been a great accommodation from our server. Tired of restaurants offering meat preparations and end up with raw or well done (tough) and if you send it back again then you end up being viewed as wanting a free meal, no I just want a touch of pink and enjoy my date, but that failed. Definitely went to Wendy’s later.

Google
The food is delicious, and the atmosphere is contemporary. I like their soups, salads, and salmon entrées; however, one of the things that surprised me was learning that the restaurant is exclusively located within the confines of the Hollywood Casino. As a result, no children under the age of 21 are allowed to dine at the restaurant. Lastly, in order to use the restrooms, you have to leave the restaurant and walk quite a distance back through the main smoke-filled areas of the casino to find the restrooms. This may pose as an inconvenience for some while dining.

Yelp
Another great meal at Prism! Monique took great care of my wife and I and I am always really impressed with the quality of the food and the fair prices. This place is great

Yelp
Excellent service, beautiful ambiance, and delicious food. I loved my experience at Prism, a high-end restaurant inside Hollywood Casino at Greektown. First of all, parking downtown is a nightmare, but parking is free on the upper levels of the Greektown Casino Parking Garage. This isn't made clear on the Prism website. I had to call and ask. Make a reservation. I saw people who did not make a reservation needed to be seated at the bar. This is a popular restaurant, and you won't be able to get a table last minute on a Saturday evening. The restrooms are not in the restaurant. You will have to leave the restaurant and use the restrooms in the casino. If I had designed this restaurant, I would have included restrooms inside Prism only for restaurant patrons, but it's a minor complaint and didn't ruin my experience. I recommend ordering steak, which they do very well here. I loved my Ribeye. I prefer the Ribeye more than my friend's Dry-Aged New York Strip, but both were good. The sauce that comes with the steaks is delicious too. For sides, I recommend the Broccolini and Whipped Potatoes. Everything was well-seasoned and high quality. We put the remainder of our meal in take-out boxes to save room for dessert. I recommend the Cheesecake with fruit, cherry, and whipped cream. I'm not a casino person, so I don't find myself at Hollywood Casino often, but I would visit just to eat at Prism for a nice dinner. I highly recommend Prism for fine dining in Greektown.

Yelp
We went to the casino for a date night, and had a gift card that covered part of dinner. Prism isn't cheap, but it's very high quality food. Service was great and attentive, without hovering or being intrusive. The starters were great, and a nice size for one person or to share a little bit. I got the surf and turf, both the steak and lobster were top quality and delicious. My wife got a filet, Oscar style. Everything was great. The ambiance and setting is beautiful and very modern-looking, this is definitely a special event kind of place.

Yelp
I've said it before, but I'll say it again! Prism is the best steak I've had in Detroit. The zip sauce is absolutely amazing. Best server we have ever had works here! Shoutout to Sean! Food is amazing!

Yelp
Came for dinner. The food was really good - the bread, the appetizer, the entree, to dessert. The primary issue here is that the servers had too many tables to manage. There were times when our server disappeared for 20+ minutes. We had a conversation with our server the first time it happened, which we felt should have solved the issue, but it didn't. Eventually, the Manager got involved and made things better. Again, the food was fantastic. The rest of it was not.

Yelp
Tough times in the restaurant industry to be real with you, there just aren't many places that bring everything to the table anymore... when the bill totals 200 bucks there's an expectation that comes with that. That's the story of Prism, top notch prices, but not top notch food, super nice servers, but not quite a "fine dining" experience for fine dining money. Prism bills itself as a steakhouse so I tried the steak while my friend tried the salmon. I also had the crab cake which was maybe 35/65 filler to lump ratio, and more stringy crab than lump. If you're crab cake head you know what I mean. Just wasn't quite there. The shrimp cocktail I had came with a good cocktail sauce. My filet which I ordered medium ranged from medium well to medium rare.... My stomach paid the bill on that one later but that's another story. The salmon that my friend had was salted a little too hard and probably needed to be seared more. Cooking salmon is a method a fine dining spot should have down to a T. The old fashioned I had was normal. Just for shits n giggles I compared the prices here to one of the places that I think is the best in the area and Prism costs more somehow. Bottom line: for your big dog, fine dining, steak money...go to a better spot.

Yelp
I truly never knew that there was a steakhouse on the 3rd floor of Greektown Casino, but I'm here to tell you that it might be a hidden gem if you don't frequent casinos and definitely well worth the "effort" it takes to get to the restaurant. You'll have to walk through the casino floor, but once you're inside the steakhouse, you certainly no longer feel like you're dining in the middle of a casino. The ambiance is perfectly steakhouse-esque with the dim lighting, the main thing that sets Prism apart is the sheer size of the restaurant and the high ceilings. If not for the dim lighting, I feel like the layout of the restaurant would feel a bit cafeteria-ish, but while you might notice this in the beginning, you quickly forget about it as soon as the bread arrives at the table! The bread is phenomenal and my friend and I ordered a ton off the menu to try. We split two appetizers - the jumbo shrimp cocktail and the crab cake - both were so delicious and massive portions! We then each got a steak, which was truly some of the best steak I've ever had, and each got a pasta dish of mushroom ravioli as well. The mushroom ravioli was pretty bland and required a lot of additional seasoning on our part, but everything else was truly perfect! If you're looking for a proper steak, look no further than Prism! I'll definitely be back here soon!

Yelp
This place was such a cool date night out! Located in the middle of greektown casino this was such a great vibe! We were seated right away and the service was fast. Servers were nice it was a low lite quiet and sophisticated experience, great ambience and drinks were good too. The menu was small but did not disappoint! The chicken salad is a staple of the menu and the house made ranch dress is an absolute MUST we ordered a side of fries as well which reminded me of my home once I dipped them into the ranch i was in heaven. Oh also if you are a mushroom lover You NEED to try the mushroom ravioli!! Its got 4-5 different types of wild mushrooms! We were impressed and would love to come back!

Yelp
As a Yelpie I was blessed to get a $100 gift certificate to try out Prism from the previous event at The Rock Bar. I was super excited to try out Prism. First, I'm not one to eat a lot of the bread before dinner but Mike asked my to try it after he ate a piece and OH LAWD! It was so fresh and so tasty. The butter added another level of flavor that was just incredible. I had the lobster bisque soup which was delicious, the baked potato which was standard and just okay, and the scallops. My waitress mentioned that they were okay but she wouldn't order them again. However, when I tried them, they were pretty good to me. The umami sauce was good and the scallops were cooked very well. Mike said that the salmon was prevent decent but the whipped potatoes is what did it for him. He enjoyed them very much. The Caesar dressing was fresh and you could tell homemade. I definitely suggest trying this place out. The food is good and it is aesthetically pleasing to the eye. The atmosphere is nice and intimate.

Yelp
This is located inside Greektown casino. So the parking is accessible and easy. However, you smell nothing but smoke walking to the restaurant. Which as a non smoker was a negative for me. There was a bit of a wait for a host at the beginning no one was at the stand but we were seated right away with a reservation. The steak was phenomenal. It was cooked medium rare, I got the bison ribeye. The mashed potatoes were more on the bland side. I believe the drink was the temptress. I didn't taste or feel any alcohol so I would skip that maybe do wine instead. The food time wasn't the fastest but it was out in a good time. We had the creme brulee for desert and that was great. All in all this is a cute spot for a date night, The steak quality is def up there.

Yelp
Made reservation for 4ppl. Had to wait to be seated after checking-in. The casino allows smoking now so during the wait, we got smoke all around us and we reaked of smoke. The place looks very cute. Romantic ambience, dim lights. All good. Our waitress was not very friendly. We asked for 2 separate checks and she said they can't do it. I ask for a manager, and s/he never showed up. Food: not impressed. Lobster bisque had no flavor, except for oil and cream. Steaks were not prepped correctly. My friend asked for medium and they made it rare. Mushrooms were very salty. All sides were a la carte. Overall, for the amount we ended up paying. Not impressed at all. Would not come back.
google avatar

Katerina L.

Yelp
Unfortunately, wasn't impressed with this steak house. We tried skirt steak and petit fillet and neither impressed. I ordered mine medium and it was pretty much raw in the middle. Sauce that came with it was way too salty. Only edges were cooked enough to eat. Lobster bisque was ok but wasn't as flavorful as I would expect from it. Mushrooms and Brussels sprouts sides were decent. They do bring bread and butter- so extra points for that. overall, I believe it was over priced and the whole experience is underwhelming.

Jim J.

Yelp
Awesome filet with shrimp scampi. Will definitely return. Delicious. Going back tomorrow.

Yelp
Wow this place has amazing customer service. Had dinner here on a Friday night and everything was on point! I have to give a special shout out to our server Daniela, she ensured we were never for want of anything. Including the additional staff who made sure our water glasses were filled, our plates were immediately taken away and our cocktail/wine glasses were always filled, this place was stellar! The food was excellent. My wife ordered a stuffed chicken and it was definitely filled with fresh, flavorful ingredients. I ordered the steak and it was done to perfection. There's nothing better than a nice, crusty-sear on the outside of a steak, yet perfectly tender on the inside. If you're looking for a nice, high-end dinner within the casino, you can't do better than here.
google avatar

Yelp
There has been a menu change since March. There is no more Max N Cheese. I repeat no more Mac N Cheese. But I digress. It's always an adventure to find prism but always a pleasure once it is found. I got my petite Filet mignon medium well and it was amazing. Whatever they do with the sauce, please box it up so I can take it home. The baked potato was a baked potato nothing amazing or terrible. The drinks were really good and strong. The cheesecake reminds me of lucky's cheesecake on 6 mile. Service was great. Everyone was very attentive.
google avatar

Yelp
I'll start with the service...Daniela and Lisa were both soooo sweet and so attentive. The food was unbelievable...like seriously soooooo dang good. The place itself is calm and quiet with light music so it makes you feel welcomed. I can't recommend this place enough
google avatar

Kelly S.

Yelp
We loved it. The ambiance is excellent. The service is top notch. The food excellent. I dinged it one star for two reasons. We sat in a booth (mom needs to sit in booths due to her leg situation) and the seats on the booth were very short. Not only do you fall down into the booth as it is low to the ground but if you are taller than 5'3" and have a behind bigger than a 6 year old you are going to have most of your legs jut out while you struggle to remain seated. The other reason is the white wine that I ordered, Sauvignon Blanc, wasn't chilled. I might use ice to chill a pinot grigio but not Sauvignon Blanc. They served White Haven, which is a delicious Sauvignon Blanc and the price was fair but I sure would have enjoyed it better had it been served at the proper temperature. The waiter did let me take a sip and I noted it needed to be colder so he quicker got another bottle but I didn't bother to tell him that it too wasn't very cold - Overall, so what, it was an excellent experience! Mom ordered the Chicken pot pie and as a bonus this meal had a January special where it came with a free dessert. It was her 83rd birthday so she chose a nice, moist chocolate cake and they put a candle on it for her; I found that very thoughtful. Her meal was large in portion, cooked to perfection, had healthy ingredients and served nice and hot. I wasn't too hungry so I had mushroom soup and and an apple salad. The soup was outstanding with lots of mushrooms cooked just right. The salad was very fresh using the best ingredients but the apples were sliced so thin that you really didn't taste them, thus taking away a lot of the taste to the salad - but it was so fresh I ate it all. We will be back with a bigger appetite ready to take on the steak!

Chris J.

Yelp
Food was bussin. Service was great. The seating was better than most places, very comfy. Menu is limited but very good.

Yelp
I think I had too high of expectations for this steakhouse so I seemed to be a little disappointed. We had made a reservation on a Sunday, which I'm glad we did because they booked up for the rest of the evening. The food was ok, just not steakhouse worthy. I had ordered a burger, thinking I was going to get something great, and ended up with something that looked like it came from a sports bar. However, my boyfriend ordered the skirt steak and his meal looked on point, this is the only reason I gave them 3 stars. If it was my meal it would have been a 1 star review. Ambience and waitstaff was great, just not enough to bring me back unfortunately.
google avatar

Gary S.

Yelp
the food is great but a little bit of a limited menu. Shaun is the best server that I have ever had. This man runs between tables and the kitchen. great food at a fair price and very nice atmosphere.

Neal C.

Yelp
Great food and if you have plenty of comps it's a great price lol Service is good as expected. Lots of good, natural light.

Yelp
Crab cake was absolutely fabulous. Chicken schnitzel was hot. Nice pour of wine. Service was good. Will be back!!

Yelp
Dinner was delicious! I had the pan seared (Loch Duart) salmon served with creamy, whipped potatoes and grilled asparagus. My husband had the ribeye steak, medium-cooked, served with grilled asparagus on the side. For starters we had the Michigan salad and a plate of shrimps Amarillo, both are prepared just right. I also had a glass of moscato which was too sweet for my liking. This upscale steakhouse with dim lighting and a fine dining ambiance is located inside a casino in Greektown Detroit.

Rene S.

Yelp
Food was excellent, wait staff was excellent, manager walks the room to make sure that the customer are satisfied. 4 stars because the hostess was super nice but unprofessional. Politely asked how she was and received the same courtesy but was taken back a bit when she started to her life story on how she was laid off for two years then finally was called back to work. Too much info to customers

Yelp
Took my hubs here for his birthday and I was very impressed. The food was spectacular. My steak was cooked perfectly and the service was exceptional. Unfortunately they have creme brulee on their dessert menu so I had to have some and it was fantastic... It is weird that bread has olives in and they don't mention it. Huns hates olives and loves bread so that was near traumatic for him when he realized what it was. My asparagus had a burned grilled flavor that I did not enjoy. It tasted like the grill had a flare up - this might be a fire grilled flavor that I just don't like or something did smoke up causing the unpleasant flavor, but whatever it is, I do not care for it. The dining experience was wonderful. I wasn't super geeked that it was in the casino as the meal was very expensive due to some of the slot machines taking some of my money, but all in all totally a place I would go again when in search of a nice steak meal.

Leonard T.

Yelp
Fine dining at its best-impeccable service! Try the bar if you've not made reservations!

Yelp
The Prism restaurant is located inside the Greektown casino, so we were able to conveniently valet our vehicle and stroll through the Casino. It was so much fun walking through and people watching with our friends as we made our way to the restaurant. The service at Prism was excellent, they started the meal with warm towels and our water, drinks, and wine were always full. The staff were very friendly and courteous and they were always on point with their timing for their courses. I also noticed that the restaurant looked very clean, and it didn't smell like the rest of the casino. Which is a plus for me. They started us off with bread baskets with several delicious flavor options. We tried a number of appetizers that were all mouth watering, especially the crab cakes and the Frigittello rock shrimp. We also had the cocktail shrimp and lollipop chicken wings -- all of which are amazing. I ordered a filet and it was cooked to perfection. The friends at the table had the Delmonico, Porter House, and the lamb chops and everyone was blown away at how good their meals were, and how much we loved the zip sauce that went with the steaks. We also had phenomenal sides, the truffle fries, Brussels sprouts, and baked potatoes were all out of this world. The coffee and dessert at the end was the perfect finish to our meal. I loved the sugar selection and the chocolate pieces to flavor the coffee. The entire experience was amazing, and the amount of focus on the important details that make a dining experience 5 stars on yelp were all there for us during our visit. I highly recommend everything we tried and looking forward to eating there again.

Yelp
The name should be prison. The food is terrible. Service excellent. I feel sorry for the people that have to serve this stuff

Yelp
I was visiting Detroit for my birthday and originally planned to go to Hearth 71, for the amazing skyline views of Canada across the river. But, they were closed for renovations. Reviews of Prism were good and the menu was up to par. Food was excellent! I highly recommend the bourbon steak starter. Its $18 for 4 oz of meat, but its soooooo good. I wish they offered it as an entree. Customer service was great! Several people came to check in on us before and during our meal. I loved our server, sadly I didn't catch her name. My only issue is I made reservations and while we were immediately seated, we were sat in the back of the restaurant, so no views for us. If I was back in town, I would definitely visit again.

Yelp
Amazing cocktails and a great steak menu! Great staff and even better ambiance. Great place for dinner and cocktails.
google avatar

Yelp
Prism was a favorite restaurant prior to Covid, and current ownership. The food quality is equal to going to Bonanza for a steak, and the attention to your table is the same. You are better taking yourself to London Chop House!

Yelp
Ask anyone who knows me what my favorite time of day is and I'll reply with "Happy Hour". Well now I'm ashamed that I never left a review for Prism as this is my favorite Happy Hour spot in Detroit. Located inside Greektown Casino, Prism is tucked away in the back corner on the upper level. They have a rockin' Happy Hour Tuesday-Friday from 4pm-7pm. The bartenders here are exceptional. Toussaint and Diane go out of their way to make you feel welcome and make a quality cocktail. They can even customize a drink to your liking based on alcohol preferences. If I could recommend one dish here it would be the Friggitello pepper Gulf rock shrimp. These rock shrimps are lightly breaded and topped with slivered peppers and a sweet & spicy Friggitello pepper sauce. Absolutely the best shrimp dish I've ever had hands down. A full order off the regular menu is enough for a main course but thankfully they are also featured on the HH menu and are the perfect size to share, or not. Other HH features include the prime rib sliders (yummy), truffle fries (oh yes), and a charcuterie board (haven't tried yet). Lobster Bisque here is also fantastic. It's made with cold water lobster and smoked sherry. The flavor is wonderful and they don't skimp on the lobster pieces. I've also had the French onion soup here and am equally impressed. They use the smoked sherry in this soup as well with the beef broth. Not too salty like some French onion soups can be. As for the meats, both the steaks are lamb chops are made to order and my medium rare has always been on point. Love their Béarnaise sauce here. Upscale dining, high end cocktails, and an exceptional staff make Prism a great choice for a downtown date night or a mid week Happy Hour.

Yelp
Over priced. Is not high end at all. Only positive was there was no wait. But it's obvious why.
google avatar

Yelp
Nice dining experience in this restaurant located in the Greektown Casino-Hotel. Not a very big space but plenty of seating. After seated, you are brought hot hand towels to clean up. Very simple menu to select from. Some of our favorites were the Bourbon Steak, Chicken and Crab Cakes. The wait staff is very attentive, but somewhat aggressive when collecting our emptied plates. Please say "excuse me are you done?" Price point easily $$$.
google avatar

Arielle C.

Yelp
From the hostess to the waitress, their customer service is on point. No complaints. The food was pretty good, a little pricey for the portions on certain things but very tastey. The friuts were fresh in the salad and the variety offered was great.
google avatar

Zara H.

Yelp
Mannn, can they make a meann martini! Lol, they really are pretty generous with their drinks I must say, one of Detroits well worth it cocktails so far, and I've had pricey cocktails that don't do it for ya if ya know what I mean ;) but also, the foods good. Not the best but pretty good. The grouper was cooked perfectly. My NY strip was also perfectly rare. I did have a prob with how strong the cocktail sauce was for the shrimp app, inedible tbh. The crab cakes are sooo yummy, I want them every time! The potato skillet side was amazing, idk what all they have in there but it definitely made up for the unfortunate shrimp. The wait staff are exceptionally polite and attentive. For sure a great spot for a date.
google avatar

Yelp
Food was excellent. Good Atmosphere. Charcuterie for starters. Bone in NY Strip MedRare with shrooms and whipped potatoes was spot on. Side are table share good for 2.

Yelp
service and management were terrible and unresponsive. we ordered a drink from our server and 20 minutes later she was still not back with them so we left. saw the manager walking around but no help whatsoever. you would think on New Year's day they would be more prepared.

Yelp
Unfortunately call vet 19 has their customer service at all time low. I will not be referring or recommending this restaurant. If you do could be sure they have enough of staff available to assist.

Yelp
This place was amazing! Service was great and it is alcart . Do the more you bring the more you spend. The drinks are worth the price. They were super strong. I also got a birthday cake on the house. I couldn't be more satisfied with our waitress! She did an amazing job. Also if you sit next to the window they have heaters!

Yelp
My family and I recently visited Prism for dinner. We made reservations online so that made seating easy. We were seated when we checked in. The entire staff was pleasant. We had Lisa as our waitress and she was great. The food was awesome as well. I would recommend this restaurant and will visit again .

Yelp
I took my boyfriend to this restaurant last night for his birthday. We did not like anything that we ordered. I ordered a salad with kale, cranberries, and walnuts. The salad was terrible, the kale was soak and wet which made the entire salad wet. We our server came to the table I told her that I could not eat the salad because it was too wet. She had the host come to see me. I told and should him of the wetness, he seemed to already know about the problem with this salad, he agreed and took the salad away. My boyfriend's salad which used the first name steak, yet there is no steak in the salad. It wasn't great as well. I ordered the crab cake. Only one crabcake was on my plate, yet an oneline picture showed two crabcakes for $16.00. I paid $16.00 for one. It was terrible and I could not eat it. Our server even asked if I needed an to-go box, I said no. My boyfriend ordered the beef short ribs and mashed potatoes. That was not so great, but he ate it anyway. When he gave me a piece of the meat, it was roast beef, not beef short ribs. The meat came in a semi-large block of roast beef as when you cut it yourself to eat at home. It had No bone in it at all. I've never had beef short rib without an bone. I believe that they are passing it off for short ribs when it's not. I paid $37.00 for roast beef which is not right. I feel bad I suggested this restaurant for his birthday dinner because our food was not enjoyable for my boyfriend as well as myself.

Yelp
Not a bad place but a little pricey. Ambiance could be better. I don't like seeing a TV screen when I'm eating a $55 steak a la carte. Started with a homemade bread that has a nice aroma with the yeast still lingering. Delicious! Service gets a 10. Steak served with zip sauce was a 9 but had to be replaced as the 1st was too over pass the medium rare I prefer., I Normally do not say a word but they graciously replaced it in 14 minutes flat. Mashed potatoes with garlic chive butter were excellent. French onion soup was perfect and served in a fancy Little pot . Cheese used was tasty, delicious and probably very expensive Gruyere! Wife had a shrimp cocktail and Cesar salad all of which was delicious. Shrimp were huge and marinating in a light watery horseradish sauce and tucked in with a sliced lemon. Nice presentation of everything served on white linen and service cloths.. This was our early Valentine day outing and thanks to Igor and Tou we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Like Arnold Swartzenegger use to say " I'll be back"! Very impressed with the service to us and everyone one around us.

Yelp
Don't expect the white table cloths (like I did) and a fine dining experience that's described and depicted on their website, as their were none of that... maybe due to Covid. That's the only reason I gave 4 stars. However, the service and food was great. Our server, Sayid, was very friendly and attentive. My partner and I both ordered the Prism Surf & Turf (the filet mignon was cooked perfectly and the accompanied zip sauce was delicious). We both shared a side since we were told it was substantial enough to share, and none of the entrees came with any, We got the melted potatoes, which we didn't care for... but Sayid graciously exchanged it for the whipped potatoes that were excellent and brought immediately to accompany our meal. It was my partner's birthday and we shared a creme brûlée that reminded us of Paris. I do want to add that the Yelp reservation system was not working on the Greektown and Prism website as it kept getting a 'no availability' response no matter what date or time I entered. So I called directly twice and kept being forwarded to Prism's voice messaging. I ended up emailing instead. and Matthew promptly responded by both phone call and email to confirm my reservation. Apparently they already knew there were issues with Yelp reservations and they were trying to fix that. I appreciated the call back by both Matthew and another person to confirm the reservation.

Yelp
The wagyu filet is hands down the best steak you can get in the Detroit area! Mind you I haven't eaten everywhere but wow it's amazing

Yelp
Prism steakhouse in greektown casino is the perfect place to grab dinner. Service has always been excellent and the steaks are cooked to make you return.

Yelp
We liked Prism, a LOT. My wife and I have had fine dining experiences pretty much all over the USA, so we know what we like. Everyone from the hostess to each of our servers were very nice throughout the whole meal. Both my wife and I liked our steaks and if I'm being honest, I liked mine a bit better than my previous favorite which was Gordon Ramsay Steak at Paris in Las Vegas. We would go back to Prism in a heartbeat and I may make it my go to dinner destination for the beloved Birthday Steak going forward.

Yelp
We ate here for our first time tonight for our 19th Anniversary. It was excellent. We had the crabcake, salad, loaded potato, whipped potatoes - all are enough for two! Entrees were 8 oz filet, Ribeye cooked perfectly! We loved the ambience and service. Daniella was fantastic. It was very comfortable seating and we were lucky enough to get a booth. The tables were spaced apart just enough to feel comfortable without a mask. As Covid icu nurses, that's a priority to us. We rarely go out to eat anymore due to close seating, it makes us anxious. So we have found the perfect place for us! They brought us an anniversary cheesecake that was incredible. They were all so thoughtful. We appreciated that so much. It was truly a great dining experience. Thank you!
