West Hollywood’s Private Reserve Cannabis Lounge Offers Sultry Club Vibes | Eater LA
"I visited the new West Hollywood cannabis lounge that opened June 21, 2024, called Private Reserve from Off The Charts, located on Santa Monica Boulevard near La Cienega (8448 Santa Monica Boulevard, West Hollywood, CA 90069). Unlike the restaurant-oriented predecessors such as the Cannabis Cafe and Artist Tree, it serves only smokeable and drinkable cannabis — nothing else — operating like an upscale cocktail lounge where you can sample 20 to 30 dried flower strains offered in half-gram portions that the owners say are a less hazy alternative to the standard dispensary eighth. The space seats about 85 across six booths plus 25 at a horseshoe-shaped bar, includes a stage for DJs, large hanging plants that overflow to the floor, and glowing neon lights for a dark, moody, loungey vibe, and was designed with simplicity in mind by Off The Charts CEO Norman Yousif and attorney Nima Haddadi to shift focus away from food. Cannabis is available as joints or through a bong, and as pre-canned Cann seltzer drinks (two-milligram servings) that rotate seasonally with current flavors including pineapple jalapeño, blood orange cardamom, and lemon lavender; guests can also curate cannabis flights. Visits are limited to 90 minutes, sales stop by law after 10 p.m. (although purchases can be preordered and stored in secure lockers), reservations are required via OpenTable, and initial hours are Thursday–Saturday 7 p.m.–11 p.m., with hours expanding in the coming months." - Mona Holmes
