Where to Enjoy Sizzling Asian Barbecue in Chicago - Eater Chicago

"Pork is the star of the show at this Korean spot up in Northbrook. Samgyeopsal, or grilled pork belly, is the signature dish and available in several styles. Roll up those sleeves, order a round of beer, and get ready to enjoy succulent and fatty slices of meats that are cooked at the table." - Jeffy Mai

A popular spot for good reason. Service was great, and the atmosphere was good as well. Restaurant was full of Koreans (including myself) so it is a popular and good spot. Docked one star on food just because it is a tad overpriced, don't expect to get a cheap meal. That being said, the quality of the food is fantastic. Overall, a great spot.

Love the pork belly meat quality here!! A lot of banchan offerings, the bean paste tofu soup was on point! and I would come again and order more next time!

We came here for dinner and had a fantastic meal. We ordered the sliced natural pork, sliced natural pork with skin, and marinated sliced premium short ribs. The complimentary side dishes and soup were delicious, and the meat we ordered was all so tender and flavorful. This is one of the best Korean barbecue places we’ve been to in the US, and we would definitely come back for more!

Pro Samgyubsal was DELICIOUS - we got the five layer pork, three layer pork, and pork jowl!! It was my first time trying five layer pork and it was out of this world delicious. The banchan was good too 😊😋Will be coming here again!

It’s depressing that you can’t go alone in an establishment. This place is only for a group of two to five people, minimum, and you cannot order food for one person alone. I went with a friend and for the second time with a family of 5 people. When I tried to book a table for one, I tried to persuade for half an hour, but they refused. This fine Korean food spot is open until 11 pm, but orders can be placed until 9:30 pm. The establishment takes tips separately and a percentage for service separately. Our table was charged $45 extra. The first time I didn’t take the food home, the second time the manager dissuaded me from taking the noodles home, but the noodles were very tasty, I disagreed with the manager and asked for a container.

The affordability of the dishes adds to the overall appeal, making it a great choice for those seeking a tasty meal without breaking the bank. Whether you're a barbecue enthusiast or exploring Korean cuisine, this restaurant provides a well-rounded and enjoyable dining venture.👍

Nice place with simple menu. Most customers knew what they order, maybe are repeated customers. The side dishes were nice but less choices compare to other Korean BBQ place. Taste of food was good enough, and we have plenty to eat yet we ordered seconds. Price is on the heavy side. We will return there again soon.

We had dinner here yesterday. The server was unhappy about having to take our drink and food orders separately and was so rude. The food was okay, but the service was horrible. What's worse, the gratuity was already added to the bill and couldn't be adjusted. Considering we spent about $500, the experience was incredibly disappointing. Stay away from this place—we won't be returning.
