Paula Deen’s Family Kitchen Will Debut In DFW Next Week - Eater Dallas

"Celebrity chef Paula Deen’s Family Kitchen will soon make its debut in Fairview. The restaurant is expected to arrive at 163 Fountain Court in Fairview next week, right on track with the spring opening timeline that Eater reported late last year. The restaurant isn’t technically a Deen venture — instead, the Atlanta-based chef licensed her name to a company called Phoenix Hospitality and Entertainment, who will run Paula Deen’s Family Kitchen on a day-to-day basis. That said, the restaurant will reportedly be styled like an exact replica of Deen’s home kitchen. It’s more casual (and more commercial) than Deen’s famed eatery The Lady & Sons, though a number of dishes on the menu (like fried green tomatoes, biscuits, and fried chicken) are similar to the chef’s Atlanta restaurant. Paula Deen’s Family Kitchen will also be home to a Paula Deen-themed store, where fans of the chef will be able to buy her cookware and other branded goods. For folks unfamiliar with the chain of restaurants, Paula Deen’s Family Kitchen was birthed in 2014, a year after Deen was embroiled in scandal over a history of racism in both personal and professional settings. The first outpost opened in Pigeon Forge, Tennesee, just a stone’s throw away from Dolly Parton’s Dollywood. Paula Deen’s Family Kitchen will open for lunch and dinner, starting on Monday, March 26 at 11 a.m." - Amy McCarthy

Our local mom group was looking for an inside venue to host an event. 40 families; 150 people total. Jeff was so accommodating, and worked with us from start to finish, to help us have the best experience possible! The space was beautiful, clean, and organized. The families had plenty of space to move about, and there were plenty of different rooms to host different activities in. It worked out perfectly, and there was fun to be had by all! If you're looking for a large space to host an event, definitely give them a call! Worth every penny!

A fantastic experience!!! Love being surrounded by people that have the same passion for food!! The environment was clean, sheik, and flexible for whatever is needed. Tour of the kitchen topped it off and it was extremely clean and everyone seemed to be genuinely happy to be there. Thank you again for everything!!!!

Google
(Full disclosure - related to the owners). However, they really do run a great business. The fresh food, the farm tours (some with farm-to-table dinners prepared by beloved local chefs!), the field trips they host at the farm, the interns they support, the many events they host at Profound Kitchen, the farmers they represent and support through their food hub, and the Food Delivery service itself are all amazing! Jeff and Lee Bednar, their daughters, and their staff are committed to service and collaboration while ensuring that your food is healthy and tasty - and supports a whole ecosystem of small businesses. Not only will your body be delighted with the great food, your heart will be full from doing business locally with wonderful people.

I love PF! They deliver groceries TO MY DOORSTEP from local farms. They have a great variety too. Not to mention, they host AMAZING farm-to-table dinners and events at their own farm in Lucas. If you care about the quality of your food, where it comes from, and how it’s made/grown — buy from Profound Foods! They are great people to know. :)

The fact that Profound Foods delivers to my house and I don’t have to get sweaty going to farmers markets in the Texas heat to shop local farmers is amazing! I also have rented their event space and the staff was super friendly and helpful.

Best darn peaches and cantaloupe that I’ve had in years. Definitely worth it and prices are not horrible. You know you’re getting quality items and don’t have to question them!! 10/10

This is a beautiful space. I spent time here volunteering with Chef to the Shelters.

Yelp
Profound pioneered the "food hub" in this region. I've been ordering door delivery almost weekly since they began back in '20, branching out from servicing only farm-to-table restaurants. Imagine a CSA, but really a hub for many farms and ranches. Strong ethic, innovative, and committed to their community. A real gem of North Texas.
