Profresco Fishmarket & Restaurant

A great sea food restaurant. We had the sea food board, which is a bit more on the pricey side for students like us, but it is definitely worth it if you like quality sea food based on its natural taste and not marinated. We came in when they had a bit of a rush, which sort of justifies this, but we felt kind of neglected. Lady at the entrance was very kind and welcoming, the other staff sort of wasn't. Based on the price point and "status" I would expect slightly better care for a customer. The servise wasn't bad, it was just below what you would expect. For example when you order a large water you just get a big plastic bottle, as if from a shop, handed to you, which feels a bit odd, a carafe would be much better. Otherwise great food, would recommend to try it out :)

We really enjoyed our lunch at Profresco restaurant. Authentic, fresh, delicious and plentiful. The boys ordered the platter and wives ordered the stew. Both amazing. Highly recommend if you’re craving seafood!

Stumbled upon this restaurant while driving around looking at the crashing waves. We had the hardshell crab and grilled mackerel. Delicious and reasonably priced

We’ve loved this place since day one! Every time we’re in Peniche, it’s a must-visit for us. The food is always fantastic — fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. And the staff? Absolutely lovely and genuinely friendly. It’s one of those spots that makes you feel at home every single time.

Delicious and fresh seafood, great selection! The staff is friendly and attentive. The cheesecake was a bit hard and frozen, but even with this minus I don't want to lower the rating

Easily ranks as one of the best meals I’ve ever had. The crab dip is phenomenal, seafood soup is incredible, Bibi (owner’s daughter) is so friendly & knowledgeable & amazing atmosphere. Highly recommend

We ordered 1.3 kg turbot, almost 1 kg sea bream(along with boiled and fried potatoes, salad as well) octopus salad, crap pate, 1 bottle of wine, one ice tea, one soup, one ice cream, toasted bread and paid 120 eu. The fish was fresh and tasty, The ambiance was family friendly, staff was kind and helpful. We enjoyed a lot.
