"Prohibition has live music every night, so it’s a good option for all kinds of situations, from first dates when you want to avoid awkward small talk to quick solo drinks when you’re killing time. Get some house cocktails at the bar, and if you end up wanting a break from the music (or you come before the music starts), hang out at one of the sidewalk tables out front." - Matt Tervooren

I went to Prohibition for the first time for drinks. After being seated, the server, Tommy, came to the table quite quickly. He is very personable and fun. I ordered a Perfect Martini, which is a somewhat unknown drink in many bars, so I them what is in it. He brought back my drink soon thereafter and said that bartender knew what it was immediately. It was a "perfect" Perfect Martini, which most bars somehow do not make quite as well! Later on, I stopped by the bar and spoke with the bartender "Maria" to tell her that she made my Perfect Martini perfectly. It ends up that Maria is the owner and is very pleasant and good with her customers! She was talking to a customer at the bar who was drinking a Dirty Martini, and said it was made so well. Her name is also Maria, and she is a commercial banker, dressed so well all in black (Oooo La La). I look forward to going back next Thursday or Friday for another Perfect Martini ... hopefully Maria is there again! Maria mentioned they will be doing a big expansion in December to add a second floor! I look forward to seeing that.

Good- -Food: chicken sandwich and burger were delicious, fries were cooked perfectly, Coleslaw was great. - Atmosphere: very neat, good theming Bad- Credit card fee: come on!! Don’t pass that fee on to your customers. Honestly ruined the vibe as soon as we see that on the menu. Price: should not cost $80 for a beer and a burger for 2 people Service: very slow overall, probably won’t come back- as I was penalized for using a credit card on an already over priced meal. It’s a shame bc the food and atmosphere are good.

Cool little spot with 2 separate outside areas. Traditional pub style food. Nice bourbon selection. Drinks were on point.

I got the steak frittes for $38 the steak was so over cooked and literally 4 bites. The artichoke dip was absolutely amazing except the horrible chips all these restaurants use. They are stale gross chips. I like the atmosphere and the people were great I really wanted the food to be better.

Absolutely love this place! The environment is perfect my family the staff is so accommodating! The fact that there are games for kids to play allow for my wife and I to just hangout while the kids play a huge game of connect four or corn hole. Food and drinks never disappoint. This isn’t my first time here and will definitely not be my last. Compared to other restaurants in the area this place offer so much more.

Had not been here in years, thought I would give it a second chance...well.... Right, here goes, 3 people at the bar, the female redhead bartender was louder then them all, never stop talking to her bar stool friends. Meanwhile the nice young waiter had to remind her 2x to get our NYC priced drinks! 15 minutes later we recieved them. Food was delivered in a reasonable time, thank goodness as there was only 2 other tables occupied. Then 2 ladies sat down a table over and chimed in, as they could not believe how long they waited for drinks and the gabbing continued at the bar! The burger was good, fries...ahhh Would never go back or recommend to anyone.

Came here last night to meet up with some friends. We were not able to get a table inside so we sat outside. It was a cold night so I do hope they have space heaters for the coming weeks/fall. Our waitress Sammie was great but unfortunately we did not see enough of her- not because of her, maybe there was something going on inside we did not know about but a male server pretty much took over the rest of the night. Food was pretty good, as were the drinks according to my friends. I ordered the Devil’s Queen which was spicy which I liked, but I think it lacked Tequila because I couldn’t taste it/I did not get the good Tequila buzz. Flavor was good so I drank it anyway. We also had to wait a long time for our cards to be returned after paying- and not brought back by Sammie but the other male waiter. Overall, I’d return if I was invited but not my first personal choice.

Staff is great!!! We had the Fried zucchini, steak frittes, chicken and waffles and churros. All delicious and the old fashion perfect.

Yelp
HANDS DOWN THE WORSE EXPERIENCE I EVER HAD !! I wish I read the reviews before I wasted my time with this place. Let me start with the ambience : Nothing really to look at it's just a bar The service : service is terrible no matter where you are , the bartender need to go take some classes once their alcoholic drink have basically NO alcohol , and it's served on a dirty glass . They don't even have the excuse that was one time , because I actually ended up with 2 drinks poorly made and served on dirty glasses . If you sit as a table expect at least 30 minutes for them to even get you water . The food : they charge $21 for a stale pretzel The burger is served FROZEN on STALE bread .. and the fries are nothing but soaked in oil . Served after 30+ minutes This was not an experience , was more like a nightmare , the only reason why there's even one star is because we can't give any less .. so PLEASE save yourself the dissatisfaction and save your money to go elsewhere . OH!! And the bathroom smells terrible , I'm afraid to ask what the kitchen looks like Over priced drinks that are poorly made and frozen food is not exactly what you expect when they charge you Manhattan prices at a mediocre bar in NJ PLEASE GO ELSEWHERE !!! Don't even bother asking for a manager or the Owner ( I was told her name is Maria ) , I tried reaching out to them with no response . I guess that shows you about how much they care about customer service .

Yelp
The cocktail menu is fantastic and inventive. The bar tenders are great and patient. They have the cutest outdoor patio with games. Such a fun place!

Yelp
Went for dinner last night at 7 PM as we had reservations to see a comedy show at nine We had reservations. We ordered our drinks and it took 30 minutes to get our martinis which were not made very well. I sent mine back I also noticed that the glasses were not very clean. It seems like they were very short staffed, no one even collected our tickets for the comedy show. Food was mediocre at best and also took a long time to get. Until more staff gets hired and things improve I would not be coming back.

Yelp
First time customer, and double time diner in one week. Visiting family brought me to the pleasures of Prohibition. Professional, warm and welcoming staff along with the best take-me-back music sounds streaming through the speakers created a fabulous environment to celebrate life with friends, family and delicious dinners. Do savor their wonderful homemade watermelon martinis. A refreshing way to kick off the fun or wind down your night at Westwood's best kept secret no more!

Yelp
Was a faithful customer before they changed hands. Took a break for a while and decided one day "Why not?" I was pleasantly surprised! The owners are two of the friendliest people. Their bartenders are equally friendly and definitely know how to make great drinks. The food is different from the previous management and it is really good. Westwood people, give this new management a chance! They're doing amazing and I wish them all the very best of luck!! I won't stop going as long as the owners don't change.

Yelp
I guess it's supposed to be a speakeasy. Feels more like a gastropub. The drinks are small and city prices. They have a ton of appetizer options that all sounded good. The pretzel was very very good, huge, and affordable. They had a special of spinach and artichoke dip which was a little watery. Our server was excellent. He's brand new and had just the right amount of checking in, was very accommodating, and had something polite or comical to say about everything.

Yelp
I attended a pride event on June 25 at Prohibition (it was a "private event" so I had to buy tickets, $25 each). The event was advertised as going from1:00-7:00 pm so we arrived at 12:30 thinking we should get there early for a table. Well, to our surprise not only did the event not start at 1:00, they were still setting everything up. We sat at the bar, and none of the bartenders or anyone we asked had any information on what was going to go on or what time things would start. While we were waiting for the show to start we ordered food. They had a limited menu so we chose a few appetizers. They came out wrong and they fixed one of them but told my friend hers was correct when in fact it wasn't. I had the mac and cheese bites which tasted like chalk. The show finally started at almost 4:00! We really wish they would have advertised the correct time so we didn't end up sitting there for three hours wondering what was going on. They have a great outdoor space behind the restaurant which is where the show was held. It was a 90 degree day and there was no tent, barely any umbrellas and no fans, so standing in the sun in a hot parking lot was brutal to say the least. I really felt bad for the performers, I can't even imagine how hot they were. My opinion, Prohibition is a great space inside and out, but it's poorly run with shoddy service and the food isn't very good. The servers were nice and were trying their best but they seemed to be new or didn't have much experience working behind a bar. I won't be going back anytime soon.

Gregg M.

Yelp
Bartender was gabbing with her barstool friends and we waited over 15 minutes to get drinks with only 2 tables occupied!!! Overpriced for average burger - $20.00!!!! The noise from bartender and 2 patrons was loud and annoying, she paid more attention to them than the waiter who reminded her 2 x for the drinks we wsited for. I would give it 1/2 stars if I could.

Marisa L.

Yelp
Been here several times and the food is very good. However we learned on this most recent trip- never order alcohol- stick to beer or wine. They are so stingy making drinks - measuring a very small shot glass as if they are a corporate chain restaurant or something. My cosmopolitan tasted like juice ($14) and friend's Tito's with seltzer she couldn't taste vodka. She had to buy an extra shot (tiny) for $11. For the prices they are charging give a real pour like all other restaurants!!! Service is spotty but they are trying - I will continue to go here but again would never again order a cocktail learning how stingy they are it's over the top.

Christine D.

Yelp
Drink $15 for maybe 6 ozs. Wasn't cold! The waitress was not an asset at all! If I was to go back, I would sit at the bar !

Megan O.

Yelp
Best fish and chips I have ever had. They have unique, delicious cocktails. Their prices are reasonable and the staff are wonderful.

Nadia B.

Yelp
Worst restaurant ever. This place needs to be shut down. The owner really couldn't care about treating their patrons with respect. The food isn't very good either. Essentially, this place is an over priced, unfriendly, "bar branded" regrettable option. Also, DO NOT PURCHASE THE YELP DEAL. The owner refused to honor it and said to take it up with Yelp. Perhaps, they don't honor the Yelp Deal for black patrons (because this is Westwood NJ) but either way, I encourage anyone reading this review to go ANYWHERE else to grab a drink or a bite.

Tara S.

Yelp
Service is beyond horrible and attitude atrocious They are trying to be something they certainly are not The manager and staff are millennial combatants who can't take that they are not cut out for anything but fast food It took a half hour for the 1st round of drinks Steak sauce on a chicken sandwich?????? Please go anywhere else Try PJ Finnegans- at least you get more than you pay for and great service ! Or go to the Iron Horse Or go to the Cornerstone Just don't come here

Sandy G.

Yelp
Have been here a few times and the food has always been tasty, drinks were great and the servers were especially friendly. It's quickly becoming one of our regular spots in Westwood!

Shanna C.

Yelp
Stopped in here for happy hour because the place we wanted to go to, the newly opened tavern at the Iron Horse, was swamped, and still has a tiny bar, (although we still are excited to visit soon)! Despite my previous few experiences at prohibition being lackluster, my date and I decided to give it another try because it's got a really nice atmosphere inside and "could" potentially really be a great Gastro pub... But it is still not! The drinks we ordered took excessively long to arrive, and my Aperol spritz consisted mostly of ice cubes... so I paid $14 for what? I'm not sure... an orange slice? Can I please have a little cocktail with that water? A verbal altercation broke out between a patron who wasn't happy with their food/drink and bartender, which was so loud that it completely dominated the entire atmosphere, bringing the vibe down to very stressful rather than the chill happy hour experience we were hoping for. Bartender was extremely aggressive and rather than asking "how can I make it right?", she screamed loudly at him, even yelling, "I don't care how many bad reviews you got to give!" as he exited. She didn't hold back from swearing, even though he had little children with him. I guess the owners of this establishment don't really care about reviews and don't seem to read them or try to improve, as they don't look complementary over the last few years. It's a real shame. Big shout out though to our server, Dana, who kept her head down and kept moving on with a cheerful attitude, and did her very best to serve us and stay positive. She was truly wonderful, and I feel very sorry for all of the staff who have to put up with the BS, which, of course affects their tips. There was nothing she could do about the slow drink service, being that the loud, yappy bartender was too busy engaging in very loud conversation with the barstool people. Dana comped us for the shots we ordered because of the uproar. The negative tone that is unfortunately set by the very subpar forces here really hurt the better part of the staff just trying to do their job and help the patrons have a good time. A real buzzkill. Rated "O" for obnoxious.

David P.

Yelp
(Disclaimer: This review is for drinks only) Quite a gem! Prohibition is a beautiful speakeasy/20's style bar-restaurant that backs itself up with quality cocktails. My partner ordered "customized" Manhattan where you can fine tune the sweetness, choose the spirit, and decide how alcohol-forward you want it. It came out AMAZING and spot on. What a great idea. For myself - I tried a few cocktails off the menu and they were all very thoughtfully crafted and delicious. Can't decide? Ask and they will help guide you. I've seen other reviews regarding service missing the mark but I did not experience that. Service was prompt, very friendly, and accommodating.

Bianca A.

Yelp
I recently moved to the area and came across this place when I was searching for craft cocktails. I was so excited to try this restaurant last night but I'll never go back =/ I love the ambiance and decor, it has potential for something great! However, the service is horrible and I felt like we were annoying the waitress because of her attitude. As an example, I asked the waitress if they could make a cocktail I saw on their IG and she said the cocktail of the day changes every day so the one I saw on IG wasn't available.... ok, I guess... then I asked what the cocktail of the day was for that day (Friday night) and she said there wasn't one... ok, I guess again... I ended up getting Queen of the Underworld and it might be the worst drink I've ever had. I felt like I annoyed the waitress to begin with so I had to chug the cocktail to try something else. What a waste of $14. There were more moments where we felt that the waitress had terrible hospitality skills. But the drinks were bad, service was bad, food was average. We honestly only stayed for dinner because we were starving.

Brittany F.

Yelp
My boyfriend and I just moved to Westwood and were exited to try Prohibition. We sat at the outdoor window on the bar stools and really enjoyed our Friday night. They have a big cocktail menu and the inside decor is nice! If you like bourbon definitely try the old fashion (see photo). We also tried the The Well Slapped witch and it was delicious. The Owner Maria was really nice and we look forward to going back!

Franny C.

Yelp
HEY GREG i was there that night you're speaking about. your table was unhappy with EVERYTHING! we were sitting next you and all i heard was COMPLAINTS about anything and everything. there was also 1 waiter and about 10 tables outside. and a full bar. the bar patrons were loud, I'm surprised you didn't complain about sitting so close to our table of 6, we were also loud. with this being said, the food is delicious, the drinks that said bartender made were perfect. there are a bunch specialty drinks and look involved. so, one bartender, 1 waiter...everything is slow.. how many people work in the kitchen? I've been back 2 more times and it's the.exact.service. slow, as were the 2 times i was there before that night. except, i haven't seen that bartender, who was very nice, made sure the drink i ordered was ok as i never had it before. and actually we haven't seen out waiter either. maybe they need more help like a busboy? the prices are high, the service is slow. the decor is pleasing the outside has a lot of eating and fire pits. will i come back when i visit again? doubtful. I'm giving 3 stars only because the food and drinks are good

Elise D.

Yelp
First time coming here, and I wasn't very impressed. Food was good, although we only munched on a couple of items, so I can't really speak to the entrées. The One Night Stand cocktail is delicious. Highly recommend. Service was a little slow and inattentive.

Barbara M.

Yelp
Great place! Friendly staff! Maria and Stefanie are so welcoming to all! The food is great! Try the salmon or chicken tacos with truffle fries! Yum!

Nick Z.

Yelp
Food and service were well below average. The reason for the 1 star is that I was charged double (over $100 extra) as a mistake and when I spoke to the manager the next day, she told me that the only way I can get refunded is if they can get the money from the other customer who they didn't charge. I explained that it's not my problem and she didn't seem to care. That being said, I've disputed it with my credit card company and they clearly acknowledge that this establishment owes me the money so will dispute this and credit me back the money that they OWE me. There was a better way for them to handle this and they obviously don't care about their customers. I will personally never step foot in this place again and honestly feel this is borderline fraud. Mistakes are okay but not holding yourself accountable is a huge problem. There's a reason this place is rated only 2.5 stars. Steer clear.

Charles M.

Yelp
Great place. But one server lied to my table saying the kitchen was closed. We liked the food but we couldn't get more.

Chasen S.

Yelp
We haven't really had worse meals or service in this area. It wasn't particularly busy yet the one sandwich we ordered took a full hour to come out. It was pretty bad too. It's also hard to believe the drinks are $15 here. We didn't get water, napkins or utensils. Our waiter disappeared after half an hour and we were essentially abandoned. This was a terrible dining experience. Nothing positive to note. We will never come back.

Melissa M.

Yelp
I really want to like this place and I've been returning in hopes that they improve, but I'm always disappointed. The drinks are cool, but the service + food suck. Like really bad!! Last week I thought I'd give it another try and they served me bad salmon. It smelled like death and made me gag. A salad that took 45 minutes to come out nonetheless. I sent it back and left without eating dinner. I'm done. Such a bummer.

Francesca C.

Yelp
There was a party in back so maybe that is why service was not great. We wanted to check out this place for a while. The bar area and outside is pretty cool. They had games in the back and I believe a firepit too! Big area. Looks cool. We were seated inside (small area not in bar area). The music was blasting and it didn't go with decor. Also, it was freezing....everyone had a sweater on or put one on. I heard tables sitting there and calling waitress over to see if they got service yet and they all didn't. I think there was just one waitress, so I am not sure why she didn't know if she took order yet or not. I asked for a beer and the other drinks of the table for there before mine..I waited quite a while longer. Beer was not worth $10 in a small pint glass. It took forever to get the food...kids complaining. My kid had the cheese steak and liked it. One had a pretzel that was supposed to come with hot cheese and mustard...only mustard came but pretzel was good. Husband had cheeseburger which was ok. I had Mediterranean salad that I enjoyed but was small so still hungry after. Kids also had lemonade and liked it..again, glasses are small. I really wish the prices were a tiny bit lower and drink glasses were bigger....I would probably just do happy hour and apps if went back.

Mark B.

Yelp
Bar has a cool old time feel but it's spoiled by the adjoining restaurant / eating area with big flat screen TVs. Drinks were good but they charged 25 bucks for an Angels Envy Old Fashioned! That's Manhattan prices and then some. The price point simply isn't worth it.

Jimmy B.

Yelp
Great neighborhood spot. Been several times for cocktails and appetizers. The outside with fire pits was nice during the fall. Sat by the bar in over size chairs last visit and had delicious drinks made by the mixologist. Rumor around town is a rooftop bar is in the works!

Ronnie L.

Yelp
Couldn't wait to give the restaurant after the update. Unfortunately it was really just so-so. Food, just ok, nothing memorable. Service, polite yet definitely lacking a sense of urgency and team work. It's a shame, because the space is beautiful and definitely has potential. Hopefully they will improve. It would be a great addition to the neighborhood.

Mike D.

Yelp
One of the worst restaurants/bars I've ever been to. The decor and ambiance look like it would be a great time, but that's where it ended. My friends and i were looking to go to get some drinks and food and thought we would give this place a shot. We ordered Guinness, which was served in a regular Sam Adams glass, not a standard Guinness pint glass, and everyone knows this is not the correct way. The glasses they served were 12 ounces at best, not a true pint. PS: it was $9 dollars for incorrect small glasses, which is way high even with 7.5 percent inflation. We ordered burgers and the buns were falling apart and the burgers were incorrectly cooked, were small, and on top of it were 16 dollars. We also asked for no onions which were included on our 3 burgers. The menu also said the fries should have been shoe string and were the kind that you buy in the frozen aisle at shop rite. The waiter was awful and didn't even give us ketchup when we asked nor utensils. We had to wait on the waitress just to get napkins, which should be standard with your meal. We couldn't even leave when we wanted to since the waitress "lost the pen" when we gave our credit cards. If you want to get a good meal and drink, never ever come here. Please, do yourself a favor and abandon this dump. On a plus note, right down the street is PJ Finnegans. This is what the people call a REAL bar. They know how to pour a Guinness in a real pint glass and it's even cheaper. Do yourself a favor and come to Finnegans instead. Good riddance, prohibition. Prohibit yourself from going there.

Brian C.

Yelp
Finding true craft cocktails outside of NYC isn't easy. Prohibition nails it though. Each of the the drinks we tried were delicious, not overly sweet, and seemed to have just the right blend of spirits. All of their syrups are made in-house. We didn't have an opportunity to try the food, but will certainly be back to do so. If you're looking for something different besides the run of the mill vodka soda or martini, check out Prohibition. Owner, Maria, has done an incredible job!

Kayla O.

Yelp
Lovely spot, easy to get to. Service is superb. Pablo was the bartender and he made sure my drink was never empty. Not to mention the amazing cocktails he was making. I ordered the Scottish Salmon and it was absolutely delicious. George brought it out to me and then cleared it as soon as i was finished so i didn't have to look at a dirty plate for half an hour. I will definitely be coming back to this beautiful bar/ restaurant.

Andy F.

Yelp
Sadly, my first Yelp review has to be a hard slam. Don't waste your time nor money at this place. Albeit nice looking on the outside, don't be deceived, it's quite awful. My date and I ordered drinks. A beer and some boutique house cocktail that sounded appealing. It took a full thirty minutes to get our drinks in a place that wasn't all that busy. We should have realized at that point what we had gotten ourselves into. My dates drink included a spring of rosemary (not mentioned on the drink menu, which affected the drink taste negatively). When this was pointed out to the rather arrogant, condescending, millennial and highly unprofessional server, she had no real response beyond a shrug, nor did she offer another drink without the rosemary in it. The second drink ordered didn't have rosemary. Okay, so we ordered a cheese steak for her, but asked for chicken, since she cannot eat meat. Hey, no problem, except it arrived with steak sauce in it. Steak sauce ? On chicken ? Ummm, that was sent back and begrudgingly credited. I ordered a skirt steak as medium rare, which arrived beyond well done. I ordered a side of cauliflower and carrots which kinda looked a lot like dog food. My apologies to any dog food manufacturers. The only edible aspect of the meal were somehow decently prepared quality French fries. Oh, the ice was clear and solid. When I asked to speak to the manager, he was "busy". I told the waitress I'd certainly wait. Ten minutes later the rather pompous manager finally showed-up and when I showed him that piece of leather (obviously working the weekend masquerading as a "steak") he smugly said he'd already credited the chicken and wouldn't and couldn't credit the steak". SO, $ 83.00 later, we departed, hungry, disgusted and very disappointed. I wouldn't even bring the leftovers home to my dog, she really deserves better. Avoid this dump at all costs. Mc Donalds is a better value. Sad, the prior restaurant in this location was outstanding. I don't give odd this place lasts till the end of the year without a major makeover and a serious attitude adjustment.

Lyndsie L.

Yelp
Food overall was good-small fixed like some things needed salt, some needed less salt. Staff was very friendly but wasn't super efficient. Drinks were great. I'd definitely try it again-hopefully the staff took our suggestions.

Hannah L.

Yelp
This place seems like it would be fantastic but it is not... the wait time to even get water was crazy, then we waited another 20 minutes to put our drinks in, then another 20 for food! The food was bad and definitely not fresh... I order the fish and chips and the batter was soggy as if it have been microwaved... disappointing. & the other fact they had a book signing event with Kellyanne Conway but at the same time are for LGBTQ+ rights & hang the pride flag? It doesn't make sense to me what they stand for...

C J.

Yelp
Wish it was better!! Apps and service slow and sad. Hoping the next place rocks this great location.

Marc W.

Yelp
Great place if you want poor service and your food never arrives. Sat at the bar ordered apps they never came. Left after an hour.

Michael I.

Yelp
Prohibition has done a nice job of renovating the restaurant and bar since purchasing the business from The previous ownership which was named Center Tavern. They have also created a more modern atmosphere utilizing their outdoor facilities more completely. This is a great location in the center of town right next to the movie theater and a large parking lot. Their drinks are good but very expensive more like Manhattan prices. Their appetizers and sandwiches are very good and reasonably priced. However, their entrees are not up to par with the previous Center Tavern menu or any of the other restaurants in Westwood. The big problem with Prohibition is their service. It was very bad after they opened and continued through the rough days of the pandemic. I considered their problems could be related to startup issues and the difficulty in finding help due to the pandemic related labor problems. However, all restaurants have these issues and seem to be doing a better job of managing the situation. It does not appear that the owner or a qualified manager is on premises enough of the time to ensure a professional service effort is being made. Staff always seems to be new and untrained. Where is the owner or a qualified manager? Maybe it is time to sell to someone who really cares to ensure a better service experience. It is not just me but everyone sitting around me was disgusted with the level of service. I am hoping that this great location will be sold to someone who is willing to make the commitment to provide the level of service to match the prices they are charging. WAKE UP AND DO YOUR JOB.

Yelp
Went for a light dinner on a Thursday night about 7:00. Drinks took almost 30 min to get, but they were good. Poor waitress was only one there....and kept apologizing. We only ordered 2 salads that took 45 min to arrive. I had ordered grilled shrimp to add to my fennel/orange salad with avocado , which was very tasty...except that there were 3 small shrimp in it for the extra $9.00!! Ridiculous!! Also one piece of avocado. I said something to the waitress about the lonely 3 shrimp for $9.00 to see if that was a mistake and she let the owner know. No ONE came to our table to speak with us. We won't be going back! Also, pretty EMPTY for a Thursday night.....now we know why perhaps?!

Yelp
Severely disappointed went for buttered pretzel but it was stale and for $21 I expect some chicken in my chicken sandwich. Drinks very expensive and not good. My wife's burger was flavorless. The staff were friendly enough. The atmosphere was nice. I was once previously disappointed here but I gave it another chance. I won't make that mistake again

Yelp
The service is absolutely awful with staff that could care less about your dining experience. As for the food, it's not exactly great either. Here my advice and avoid this place!

Yelp
This place is horrible! It's such a shame honestly because it's a cool looking spot. They charged us $25 per drink!!!! I was surprised to see that the chicken dish was $31 but I didn't say anything about that because I understand the cost of everything is a bit higher now. However, it definitely wasn't worth that. When we saw the check and noticed the cocktails were $25 each, we were insulted honestly. When we asked to speak to the owner about it she wouldn't come out of the kitchen. The bartender was pretending to not know anything about it but I later realized, they are working together to rob people. It's terrible.

Yelp
The bartender/ owner was fantastic. The atmosphere was great and how the drinks matched the atmosphere. Give it a try

Yelp
I should have read reviews before going, maybe it would have saved some time and frustration. First, I went to Prohibition with some colleagues as an after school happy hour spot. We called ahead to just see that they were open and mentioned that we would be up to 20 people in and out. They automatically set up a table for 20, when all we wanted was drinks. When we explained the miscommunication, we got nothing but attitude from both a woman who I think was the bartender that day and from the waiter who was a young, tall male with dark hair. We asked if we could just go into the bar and bring drinks out and they said no. There was NOBODY else there. We then asked for separate checks because we were all coming and going at different times. They weren't happy about it and gave us attitude throughout, but agreed. It took an EXTREMELY long time to get our drinks...again we were the only ones there. When we wanted another round, we had to go inside to find our waiter, and he would reluctantly come back out. I understand that we weren't eating so maybe not a priority, but money is money and business is business. There was nobody there and I'm assuming they would have made $0 if we weren't there, so why not give us service with a smile? I was willing to overlook this visit because, it was a cool looking place with a fun outdoor area and a fun menu. When my Jr. Women's club needed a place to go for dinner, I suggested it. Everybody was very excited to try something new. There were 10 or 12 of us and we had a reservation for 7:30. We sat right down and there were maybe 1-2 other tables filled. After a few minutes they took drink orders for most of the table (same tall waiter with dark hair). The drinks came at a fairly normal pace (we mostly drank pourable drinks, nothing fancy). A young waitress came over to take our appetizer order, she was very friendly and personable. She put in the order and then the tall waiter came back and asked if we were ready to put in food. There was no communication between them. Throughout our stay we had a few requests such as getting a wedge for the wobbly table, bringing sauce to the table or whatever else, most of which we had to ask several times for before they came. We were at the end of our meal and we had to get the attention of the waiter to come back over to do another round of drinks. He was busy socializing to the side of the restaurant. At this point there was only one other table filled so it was not that he was busy. We had to get their attention on several occasions just to order things or ask for things, they did not proactively come over at all. The food took a while and one meal didn't come out until the rest of us were almost finished. The food was not good. The chicken sandwich had a piece of chicken the size of a nugget. The panini was so fat, people couldn't bite it. It was bad. When it was time to pay the check, there was confusion from the waiter who wanted to do it his way (cash before cards) and it took 3 requests for him to just do the cards first. After he ran it all through, he then told us we owed an additional $9 because of credit card fees. This should have been reflected on the original bill or we should have been notified of this before transactions were made. At this point we just wanted to get out of there. So here is the thing that really was unbelievable. At one point when the waiter was bringing us appetizers, he dropped the sauce off of one of the plates. He was behind me so I didn't see but I heard him that he would bring another. I did look down to see where it went and didn't see anything. Later, my friend across from me told me that she watched him bend down and pick it up before he walked away. Fast forward to us leaving in a downpour, I put on my raincoat and flip the hood up and was surprised with goop all over my head. He had dropped the sauce into my hood, picked up the container out of my hood and didn't say a word. I went over to the bartender who was very sweet and helped me clean up my jacket and gave me napkins for my hair. I complained and she apologized. I will be calling a manager today. The kicker is that since we were a party of more than 6 people, the gratuity was automatically applied. This waiter got a pretty decent chunk of money for NOTHING. I was very angry so I left with a plan of calling today. Bottom line, do yourself a favor and steer clear of this place. It's a shame because the restaurants before them were awesome and now they are a waste of space.

Yelp
Similarly to the other reviews posted below, the common denominator aka the common problem with all of the other reviews which in tend on speaking the truth based on my lack of experience is the poor experience with service. I completely understand there is a shortage on staffing overall across America however, communication is also key. None of which exists here. It should not take 20+ minutes to pour a glass of Prosecco nor 30+ minute to check in on your table with not all tables outdoors are not filled and the entire indoor restaurant is empty, I can confirm as I checked. Please do not hire individuals to be bodies vs attentive individuals as your reviews will continue to reflect poorly on your establishment which I do not believe should be accurate. Our first experience here, We ordered the loaded nachos, which were not loaded at all, more so an afterthought honestly. We are a party of two whom ordered two salads with add ons, and I can promise you the shrimp was under cooked, which is an easy health violation. Really hope someone from management reads this to turn this around as I do hope you as a team can become successful. Happy Yelping! A.

Yelp
Great atmosphere and delicious food. I had wings and steak sandwich, both of which were uniquely flavored. Wings had a bit of a kick to them, but just enough. Not a bad spot to watch a ball game either.

Yelp
I really wanted to like this place. It had an amazing drink menu and the drinks were really good with only 1 bartender (props to that man) Definitely would return for cocktails. I don't know if it was last night but the restaurant was understaffed and under managed. The drinks were taking at least 20 to 40 minutes. We waited for our appetizers for almost an hour. Which are apps came out at different times. And then showed up after we received them. The entree selection was nothing spectacular. We received our burgers and panini late and cold. Also the waitress was like we have a bunch of meals kitchen but not sure if they are yours. the management of this establishment needs to get it together with timing and wait staff. I want to mention turning up the music and dimming the lighting doesn't change that you're late with everything that you served as well as the lackluster appearance of is that interior. You might want to improve it to match the name. Maybe try that with the menu too too.

Yelp
The service was so bad my waitress didn't even bring me my water after 30 minutes being there, AND IT WAS NOT BUSY. Me and my two friends were the only minorities in the restaurant and it felt as if there was some type of prejudice against us and that's unacceptable, especially in this day and age I was disgusted. Our waitress only checked in on us when she sat us down and continue to walk past us to help people who came in after us and she actually brought them water. If you enjoy good service I would not recommend.
