Project 44 - Review - Shoreditch - London - The Infatuation

"Project 44 might sound like an undisclosed government UFO programme, but it’s actually a handy cafe and wine bar in Shoreditch. But ignore the wine bar part. This spot is much better used as a work-from-home upgrade. The sort where sandwiches have been made by Dusty Knuckle Bakery and the wifi never falters. There’s a fun ice box at the till filled with canned matchas and iced coffees for those who can’t linger. But if you can stick around, the benches out front are a charming spot for people-watching, and to eye up the pub opposite for post-5pm plans that involve pints and pints of prawns. photo credit: Aleksandra Boruch photo credit: Aleksandra Boruch photo credit: Aleksandra Boruch photo credit: Aleksandra Boruch photo credit: Aleksandra Boruch Pause Unmute Food Rundown Croissant A decent flaky, croissant. Do opt for these in the morning, though, when they’re pillowy and fresh. photo credit: Sinéad Cranna" - Sinéad Cranna

Really nice place to hang out! The coffee is not bad but what really stands out is the banana bread (I think they use dusty knuckle as their bakery supplier).

Such a great addition to east london. Feels very much like it’s own community in there. All food is freshly made everyday and the matcha is class. Couldn’t be happier w this place

This has got to be the best café in all of London- I’d even argue it’s the best in the world. I’ve tried almost every drink and so much of the food, and everything has been absolutely to die for. The staff are always so kind and the service is fantastic. I would highly recommend this place to anyone.

I really wasn't expecting this place to be so quiet, but it is a Friday after all! The staff were incredibly polite without being too intrusive which is perfect for Londoners and the coffee was very good, it did what it needed to do. I am seeing reviews about the banana bread and if I'd known what I was missing out on, I would have definitely gone for it! The attention to detail on their homemade juices was a nice touch and the inside was well decorated and spacious. I would definitely come here for a sit-in coffee next time and grab a slice of that banana bread!

Loved Project 44! Amazing coffee, fresh sandwiches, and the vibe is so cozy and cool. It turned into a wine bar at night which was so fun. As someone visiting London, this spot felt like a local hidden gem. Will definitely come back next trip!
