Project Chaiwala

Project Chaiwala is a really nice addition to Alserkal Avenue and works well whether you’re visiting for a quick chai or spending a longer, relaxed evening there. One of the biggest positives is the pricing — genuinely good and very reasonable, especially for Alserkal Avenue where most places tend to be on the expensive side. It’s refreshing to find a spot here that doesn’t feel overpriced just because of the location. A standout feature is the cinema inside the restaurant, which makes the experience quite unique. You can grab your chai and snacks and enjoy a film without having to move around the avenue, which adds to the whole laid-back, artsy vibe Alserkal is known for. The staff were friendly and welcoming, happy to help and explain the menu without rushing you. Service felt easygoing and warm, which really adds to the overall experience. One thing to note is parking — it can get busy, especially during peak hours or when the avenue is lively, so it’s best to allow a little extra time if you’re driving. Overall, Project Chaiwala is a solid spot for good chai, fair prices, friendly service, and a unique in-house cinema experience — definitely worth stopping by when visiting Alserkal Avenue.

Good karak tea although a bit costly for karak chai. Taste good. Staff great.

Their karak tea is really good. I tried the saffron karak chai, and I highly recommend it. You can taste the saffron while still enjoying the strong flavor of the karak. It was potent enough to get me going for the day. Their banana bread was great too. I’d definitely go back if I'm in the area, and I highly recommend them to all karak lovers. They are located in Cinema Akil.

It’s a nice tea joint in a cinema theatre , a different concept and a different experience. I tried their OG karak and cheese sandwich , sandwich was good tea was about ok. Tea is not something that I would go for again. The overall experience is good the place is tastefully done with movie posters around.

Highly priced n one of the worst chai I experience I had in abudhabi airport When I said the staff the chai is not good seems like spoiled she said this is what they serve. I went wow

I’m not a chai lover but I loved the concept of this cafe. The vibe of the place is what I got attracted to. The place was very cozy. They’ve option to watch cinema inside.They even have outside seating area (only if the weather is pleasant) We tried the Masala , Karak & signature chai. The muffin and carrot cake was ok.They have snacks that you can enjoy with chai. It’s a good place to hangout with friends. Prices are reasonable. The experience was great but food wasn’t. Ambiance- 9/10 Food- 6/10

Project Chaiwala it’s an amazing concept brought by an Emirati Ahmad Kasim and Indian Justin Joseph. . They have so far 6 outlets in Dubai and I get a chance to drop by my recent visit at Akil Cinema and glad to enjoy their amazing tea what I had in home country india with delicious paratha meal served with variety of KABABS , Chana Masala and Chicken tikka. Got the Home Delivery thru Zomato. Very happy with the Quality, Quantity and taste. We had Project Chaiwala Special chai and carrot cake. Very good combination. Packaging was good and the contents remained hot for a longer time. I liked the matka concept. They had used 99% sustainable packaging materials. Go For It.
