Yelp
I've had Project Pollo once before as part of a Yelp Elite Perk, and I really liked it - it's also about two blocks away from me. Their chicken sandwiches seem to be gluten-based, while their nuggets are tofu based, and I was originally much more impressed by their nuggets.
This time, I had a really large order as my sister and her family wanted to try it, so I ordered for them as well.
Wraps - The adults each had a wrap (3 chicken caesar and 1 chipotle chicken), and these are filled with the chicken nuggets chicken (tofu-based). Pretty good, what you would expect from a normal caesar chicken wrap, surprisingly filling.
Chicken nuggets - Just as I remembered them the first time. Tofu-based, kind of tasted like if paneer was fried into a nugget. I think I actually prefer to these to actual chicken nuggets.
Fried pickles - Crispy when eaten fresh, they can be a little soggy if you have to make a long drive after picking them up. Overall, pretty delicious as fried pickles should be.
Loaded fries - Topped with a few nuggets, pretty good overall. The credo queso is very good for vegan queso, but these loaded fries don't hold up as well during a long drive either. Fries get a little soggy, but this is to be expected from any type of loaded fries if not eaten immediately.
Tater tots - I'm not sure if they forgot this order or if they included them with the loaded fries, because there was no separate order but there were a few tots in the loaded fries for some reason.
Overall, I'll find myself going back to this place fo their chicken nuggets (or any other chicken nuggets based entrees) and the fried pickles. Someday in the future I might give their sandwiches a try again (I'm not a huge fan of the gluten-based meat alternatives though).
